I almost forgot that as well as Australia Day it is also Chinese New Year.

So HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR everyone. Finally, we can say goodbye Rat and welcome in the Ox. And may it be a Golden Ox at that. I know the Year of the Ox will bring all of us our forever babies.

Hi ladies! So sorry for being a terrible lurker!! I've been checking on you all every day and keeping everything crossed that those BFP's come rolling on in! And boy oh boy have they been!! HUUUUUUUGE congratulations to all of you beautiful girls who have their long awaited BFP"S!! Here's to a h & h 40 weeks for all of you!!
I'm almost at the end of my 40 weeks, only 11 to go and I'm getting mighty impatient. Heehee.
Charlie is wriggling lots and lots and continually kicking her dad in bed at night which I think is hilarious. Morning sickness is back though now that I'm off the steroids which isn't really fun, but at least I'm working from home now and don't have to serve customers anymore. YAY!!
It's my Lilah's birthday today which makes Australia Day a bit interesting. Thankfully I seem to have shut off all of my emotions. I hate self pity and I just want to be strong for DH, so I'm surprisingly good today. She wouldn't want us to be all mopey and sad anyway, so I refuse to be like that!

Aaaaaanway, hope all of you girls are great and having a beautiful day! Big BIG hugs to all of you!! (SOrry for the lack of persies- I suck :P)

    Hi everyone,

Hope everyone's enjoyed their long weekend and/or had a good start to a new week....it has to be better than last week doesn't it?!

The emotional bubble burst here on Friday....big whack of PMS, spent most of the day crying and gave up the bad attempt at working by early afternoon. Not pretty. I ending up speaking with a parent volunteer with SANDS (I never knew they also support people who have miscarried!? feel very blonde!) and finally calmed down. AF (I've never called it that before!) kicked in on schedule yesterday, exactly 25 days after I stopped bleeding after my m/c. I'm kind of glad because at least we know where we are now. Another 'event' ticked off.

Karen van - thank you for the pep talk about food. Ditto to the ezcema clearing up, and how amazing is no bloating?! We make our own bread in the breadmaker so I need to experiment with low-wheat versions. It's a work in progress.

RRK - welcome. I'm sure you will find 'cyber' support here, as I have, even if you don't yet have it in your life. There's no right or wrong answer, no right or wrong way to grieve, and no right or wrong time to decide to TTC again. Feel free to let your thoughts have their air time here. Take care.

I'm so sorry for the lack of more personals, need some head space to myself to rev up for work tomorrow.

    Take care everyone.

    Hi everyone

I know I have been MIA for a few days but I haven't been too well. I had to go to hospital and have my blood sugars monitored and have more tests done and I am okay now. Still battling with an upset stomach and feeling really tired and drained. I am fine though so don't worry.

I just wanted to say CONGRATS to Paula and babymiracles on your BFP's!!!! That is fantastic news and has made me feel a whole lot better. YAY!!!!

RRK - Welcome to the forum. I am so sorry for your loss. You have found a great support network here and these girls are the most amazing people you will ever meet. You can scream, cry, complain, whatever you want here and everyone will understand and stand by you. Sending you

meh - I hope you are feeling better. Sending you big

There is so much to catch up on so I will have to start afresh with persies - sorry girls. I am not as good as Jen (wow you are amazing!!!!)

I am praying we see many more BFP's n this forum soon.

    Sending all the your way

    Apologies for my Lurkiness

    Hey all you lovely ladies
I have been a terrible lurker the last couple of months. I can say though, that life has been quite hectic over the last term of school and the school holidays. My son started an early intervention program to help overcome some of the issues he has, though I don't think you can quite overcome autism, just learn to adapt really. The holidays have been particularly challenging with him home, his fixations have been quite difficult to manage. Anyways, enough about my challenges.
I want to say a hello to all the ladies who have joined the thread, I am sorry that sadness and loss has brought each and everyone of you here, but it is a place of support where you can grieve openly without fear of judgement and ridicule. I find it hugely supportive and comforting place to come, even though I have been lurking. I find in my daily life, the loss of the twins is something that is not brought up and when I do bring it up, it tends to make my family uncomfortable. So I quietly grieve on my own and with my partner.
Congrats to all our pregnant ladies, I truly wish H&H 9 months for all of you, and I hope you can enjoy it in spite of morning sickness and exhaustion!
I want to say a special hello and send a very big hug to Ruthie , I have seen the heartache you have been going through the last couple of months and I pray that this year will be the year you have your forever baby.
As for my bubba, Jelly Bean is doing fine. Moving around quite a lot, we had our 20 week scan in December and everything was perfect. Now I am just impatient to hold my baby.
My sincere apologies for my lack of persies, but I do read every post and I try to keep up with you every few days. But I do admire you Jen, you are the persies Queen and a very valuable member of this thread; the glue that keeps everyone together

OMG....... I just lost a huge post that I've been working on for over 30 minutes! I'm so frustrated, I could scream!!

Not going thru all that again..... a much shorter version will have to do!!

Just going to throw some to babymiracles, smi, & chappas!!

HannahD--My buddy! When are you testing? I've got about a week left... Forgot about the Chinese New Year! Screw the d@mn Rat--go OX!! lol...

tutmae--OMG!! Look at Charlie's sweet face!! Not long to go now!! You're a tough girl, but I'm sure Lilah's birthday yesterday had it's bittersweet moments... Sorry to hear the m/s is back... but glad to hear you're working from home now, that has to make it a lot easier!

to jackjack & meh (sorry to hear about AF!)

    Sorry about that....

Theresa--Aww, come on.... What would be amazing is if I could recite that list without my handy dandy notebook! Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well... I hope you feel better soon!

Shortcake--So sorry to hear that AF is still AWOL. Forgive me if you've already told us, but did you have a D&C, or a natural m/c? I'm only wondering because I think I've heard that it may take longer for AF to show after a D&C.... like maybe up to 6 weeks. But it's still probably better to call your doctor with a question like that. Big and I hope you get some answers soon!

Leyza--So sorry to hear about your son... parenting itself is very challenging, but parenting an autistic child has to be even more so! Congrats on a great scan in Dec! Glad to hear Jelly Bean is growing and doing well! As for me being the glue that holds the thread together... it's really quite the opposite! This thread and these girls have been the glue that has held me together since I joined last March--it's my sanctuary! But thanks so much--it's a huge compliment!

Big for everyone else! Always thinking of you all!

I had a D & C on December 15. I had been in labor the whole day before that and the doctor refused to see me.

    Smile Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you all, ladies!!!! I can't believe I have landed in such wonderful place . You have all been so thoughtful and sensitive. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
BTW, my baby's name was Roland Raphael. I lost him too early to know the sex, but I had a strong feeling it was a boy. Imagine the surprise if, when we meet in Heaven, I find out I was wrong all along. Well, for now it feels right to call him with a boy's name.
I hope this is not tmi, but I am having my first period after the m/c and it has been very heavy for the past four days (the previous five were light, which makes a total of nine days, compared to my usual eight.) Does anybody know if this is normal?
Thank you all again for being so kind!!

    Morning Ladies,

Wow i had some reading to do this morning.

RPK - And im sorry about your loss. Know that Roland Raphael is flying high in the sky with my Lilli!!!!

Jen - Gotta love love technology.

BabyMiracles - Congrats on your news!!!! Here's to a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Zachary's Mom- I hope you feel better soon, and may i ask, are you the same Zac's mum that is on the SIDS forum?? Tell me to butt out etc, your name just looked familar.

meh - Sorry to hear that AF is being her usual painful self. I hope you are feeling better soon. Sending you big

Ok ladies, need some help with Fertility Friend please ! Ok so I did an OPK yesterday morning, the 2nd line was only one shade lighter then the control line. My cervix was open, so i knew i was due to get a + soon. Anyway, i did one last night aswell, and that one gave me the 2 lines same colour. So my question is, due i record + on FF for yesterday, or just today??????

Rach - I would put the + OPK down on FF as yesterday, just because that is the day that is was + KWIM? Although it is likely that it may still be + today, personally I wouldn't bother doing one because yesterday's was + and you have all the signs that O is about to happen. HTH and good luck catching that eggie!

RRK - Welcome and I'm so sorry that you have to be here. But it is a wonderful group to be a part of. I have to say though that I agree with the other ladies here that what your friend said to you is really not appropriate, hopefully she only said it because she simply didn't know what else to say, but cripes if one of my friends had've said that to me I would have hit the roof. I'm also an older lady (don't feel it though ) and we did IVF to conceive, and I really do believe that only you can decide when your baby making days are over. It is not something that anyone else could or should pass judgement on

babymiracles - Yippee!!!! Big congratulations to you Here's to a H&H pregnancy and lots of sticky vibes coming your way! What excellent numbers, especially that prog! Puts my measly 100 to shame LOL But seriously, that sounds fab, are you having any more tests done to check how things are going?

Shortcake - Jen is right hun, it can take around 6 weeks for AF to show after a D&C, certainly took that long for her to show in my case. But having said that, if she doesn't show in the next 2 to 4 weeks I would be getting yourself looked at by a dr. I hope she shows up for you soon.

meh - Sorry to hear about your bad day. And yep SANDS and Sids and Kids both have miscarriage support - I went to Sids and Kids after mine and they were wonderful. I hope it helps you too

HannahD - Good luck with this TWW! that is it the one for you.

Jen - Glad you got to the gallery OK! Took me a while to work out how to find it too, I can tell you But thanks, I was just so relieved at the ob's the other day I almost cried too. And my ob was pretty happy too! I'm seeing the same ob that delivered my DD and that I saw during my last pregnancy that miscarried, so he understands why I have been so worried. This scan was so different to my last 12 week scan, could see virtually straight away that everything was OK thank goodness.

Sorry there have been so many posts that I can't totally catch up, but hi to smi, Leyza, chappas, Theresa, tutmae, plc, jackjack, Toccara, erybery, mollycat, and anyone else that I may have missed - sorry!

AFM - Well still feeling really happy after last Fri's scan obviously, and thanks so much everyone for the congratulations - it means a lot to me I'll tell you though, after last time, it was a major milestone for me to get past 12 weeks unscathed, I still can't quite believe it - but I'm sure you all understand. I have decided that I have to now stop seeing the ob every 2 weeks and go back to 4 weekly, so my next appt is not until the end of Feb (my birthday actually, has to be a good omen right?) and we'll probably only have a listen with the doppler instead of doing an u/s. I haven't quite been able to bring myself to do a pregnancy announcement here yet, what do you all think - when should I do it? Actually we still haven't told anyone IRL yet either, even DH is being cautious this time around, but I think the time is coming soon where we will have to fess up, all my clothes are getting a bit snug now But I might have to be brave enough to get myself a ticker now I guess...

Thanks everyone for the congratulations and best wishes and sticky vibes. that I will finally get to hold a beautiful healthy baby in my arms come october

Megsmum: I think the progesterone is so high as they collected 12 eggs so each of those follicles is secreting progesterone and oestrogen - so much higher than what I would have in a natural cycle when only one eggie is released. With my first stimulated cycle prog levels got to 1800! Felt pretty ill that cycle that is for sure. With regard tests, in adelaide they seem to only want to do a scan at 7-8 weeks at IVF place and then shunt you off to your own specialist - who I don't see until 10 weeks. However, waiting now three weeks for the scan seems almost unbearable so I have asked for weekly hcg tests until then. What tests did you have in early stages and what do you recommend I push for?
Congrats so much for getting past 12 weeks and I am sure it will be smooth sailing from now on. I am looking forward to seeing your pregnancy ticker very soon, and I am amazed you haven't told people yet. I am going to hold off till at least first scan to tell parents and then 12 weeks to tell others if I can (but I have such a big mouth it is very hard

OMG sorry for lack of more persies - I started work at 8.15 am and have achieved nothing - cannot seem to focus - too excited about bfp and nervous, and wedding stuff is sooo distracting as well. Ok better get back to it. Love and hugs and best wishes and sticky vibes and bring on more BFPs to everyone in this thread
