Kit: Yeah, U/S technicians do not always know what they are doing, neither do drs. I had some bleeding early in my pg with DD. I was away on holidays and a local GP sent me for U/S at local hospital. There was no HB but the U/S tech just said cautiously that it was a 'very early pg' (nothing bad) but the supposedly specialist local dr who interpreted the scan wrote in his report that bc there was no HB it was 'consistent with a blighted ovum' (ie not going to grow into a baby). I was very upset but nothing happened... bleeding stopped. I went to my GP who sent me to an OB (a few days had passed by this time). The OB said he'd do another scan himself because he didn't want to do a D & C and find out he'd accidentally done a termination. He did the scan himself... and there was my DD, HB and all. It had just been too early to see a HB a few days previously. My mind boggles when I think that the OB could have just trusted the first U/S and done the d & c. The moral of the story i guess is that wierd stuff happens in early pg and it aint over til it's over. I'm wishing very hard for you that all goes smoothely from now on.
Murray cod: i can only imagine how hard it is to wait to find out what the outcome of your ET is. But i wanted to say: it's not a bad sign that you only have cramping. As I said, i had cramping early in pg with DD and i had no other symptoms until about the day AF was meant to come (day 30) when i started to feel a bit off and tired. Pg symptoms are often not so different to AF symptoms (which i guess is why we are always so desperate to POAS!)
ForSHelby: sounds like your timing was good. The sticks that show one line lighter than the other don't count. It's the one with two similar dark lines that is the winner (which it sounds like your middle test was).
Ric: did i say congrats yet? What a lovely day to get a BFP, mother's day! Will await further posts with excitement. Hope your cold gets better soon.
Bons: Have missed having you around. Sorry you're having computer troubles too and that you have been feeling blue. Can we help?

TTCALC: sorry i think i forgot to say hi. Hope you are now all recovered from your lap. COngrats on your recent winnings!
Iona Macca: Hope you get great make-up BD! Arguments with hubby are par for the course for everyone at times i guess but better earlier in the cycle than right on O time!
AFM: in TWW. Trying hard not to think about it. I don't trust my body any more. I don't believe it remembers how to combine one plus one and get three! But it would be loverly to be surprised!
