Mannie - I would personally stay away from nurofen even if the GP said it was ok. I would stick to Panadol and Panadeine Forte is ok too. That's about it tho.

Ruthie - that poem is beautiful

Ruthie That was a lovely poem. Sorry to hear about your DH getting laid off at work. I hope he can find a even better job soon

    Mannie
Sorry I cant help you with the nurofen question. I have heard though that panadol is the safest option. Good luck I hope the last week of your tww goes fast.

megsmum Sorry to hear that the injections are being tough on you this time. I hope that it means that you are pg so you are just feeling a double dose of pg symptoms. saying lots of for you that you get your BFP.

Jen You make me laugh. Your still funny even when you have AF now that's spirit girl. I am def standing next to you with my little sign

Toccara Thank you for your thoughts they are much appreciated. How are you doing?

PLC Thank you hun for your words of wisdom they are very re assuring and help alot with my anxiety.

AJC I'm not offended I totally agree with you. I thought it was a terrible thing to say. Especially when I am already so worried. I asked my FS about my temps and he said he does not advise that I keep taking them or worry about them as they are irrelevant once you are pg. So he is the boss and I trust what he says.

buliej I hope you and everybody in this thread has your wish granted upon them. Goodluck sweetie.

    AFM

Well last night I was freaking out. I had brown discharge which I had for about 5 days before each of my m/c. I called the nurse at my FS clinic and she said for me to come in the morning for a BT which I did. She called me today with the results and they were 3600 which is okay I think as I am approx 5 weeks. I have to go back in a weeks time for another BT if I dont miscarry before then.

The nurse mentioned that it may have been from the progesterone pessaries irritating my cervix. Just wondering if anybody else has had a similar experince with these meds?

Tam - 'so far so good' (that was my motto) - you're doing really well. I had brown CM with this pg which freaked me out too but look - I've only got 9 weeks to go now! The brown CM came at 4.5wks, 5.5wks and 6.5wks. The first time it happened I went and saw OB who said the only thing that worried him about the discharge was that it worried me. hard for you but I still feel really positive for you. Big Big Hugs - it's a tough journey but the odds believe it or not really ARE on your side!!! Oh one other little thing I did during the early stages of this pg was listen to that Bob Marley song..... "Don't worry about a thing cause every little thing is gonna be alright". It became my mantra so now I'm going to use it as one of my labour songs - you will too!!!

Big Big Hugs to everyone else.

oh Ruthie that poem had me in tears....it was beautiful and so reassuring thankyou.

am staying away from nurofen as I also researched on the net about it and it can bring on m/c now it makes me think about my first m/c cause I remember taking naprogesic for a day or two as I thought I had my period but in fact it was just spotting from implantation..maybe the naprogesic brought the m/c on...well maybe not but I can't rule it out hey...

Anyway have asked DH to bring home panadine forte. thanks for your responses girls really appreciate it.

Tam - great numbers and see don't worry about them too much my OB is of the same opinion as your FS so try and enjoy this pregnancy am so happy for you...

Tam83- Thank you for your kind words. I am waiting to see my gynocologist as he said i have to wait 4 weeks from my d&c to go back to him. It's seems so long to me and I really just want some answers so the wait is hard. I really want to look into seeing a nutritionist and maybe accupuncture to help but just don't know where to start. As my hubby is having a hard time with this he doesn't know if he wants to keep trying because it's hurting him and doesn't want to go through the pain again.

Everybody else thankyou so much your kind words are a breath of fresh air for me.. thankyou

    Hi Mannie,

Yes, I wuold definitely not take Nurofen. My sister in law is a pharmacist and I know when I had the worst migraine and thought I might be pg she said just to take panadol. I'm not even sure about panadiene forte, does that have ibuprofen or codeine in it? Anyway I think you are definitely doing the rigth thing staying away from the nurofen.

    Hope you feel better soon.

Sorry, no time for persies tonight. I'm off to the movies with a girlfriend to see a romantic tear jerker!

Hi to everyone, Ruthie so sorry to hear about DH. I things look up for you soon.

    Hi Ladies,

Jackjack - Don't give up hope. I know it is hard, all of on this thread know how hard it is but you have to try and focus on the end result, a beautiful healthy baby for all of us! Brng on 2009!

Mannie - Hope the pain has subsided!

Ruthie - Once again I am so sorry about your DH. There is never a good time to lose your job but this is particulary bad timing for you both. I hope DH is successful in finding work soon so you can continue your TTC journey soon.
By the way - that was such a beautiful poem. Here you are going through such a tough time but you still make time to think of all of us. You are truly amazing!

Tam83 - I can only imagine how scared you must be but I agree with AJC, so far so good. So many of my friends had spotting or low temps throughout their pregnancy and it didn't mean anything. I even know a girl who had really low hormone levels on her BT and the Dr's warned she would probably m/c and she has just given birth to a healthy baby girl. As hard as it must be, don't lose hope.

Big hi to Jen, plc1805, HannahD, Megsmum, WTH, smi, buliej and anyone else I have missed.

AFM - So just got home from the movies and put my temp in FF and apparently I ovulated on day 13 We timed it quite well this month though and my chances are high (according to FF) so hopefully........

I usually always ovulate on day 17 or 18 but I thought I was going to ovualte earlier this month as I had really sore bbs and cramps (I even POAS when I had had AF!).

I am a bit confused about the BT I am supposed to go for on day 22 as I told the FS my ovulation days were 17 or 18 and now apparently I have ovulated like 4 days earlier. Does anyone know if this make a difference? The BT is to confirm I am definitely ovulating.

Still going to though just in case!

Sorry, wish I could write more persies but I am so tired. Got our work christmas dinner tomorrow night so need to catch up on my beauty sleep!

Doesn't seem to be anyone around tonight anyway?

    Best of luck to everyone.

Hey hey sorry but been MIA for the last few days. I've been doing yucky night shifts all week so don't know whether I'm coming or going lol
Mannie - just reading over your posts, I'm glad that you've decided against the nurofen. Echoing what Mel said, my dad was also a pharmacist and basically said all I could take when I was pg was panadol. Sending lots of - hoping there is a nice BFP waiting for you in a couple of days
Tam - bigs hugs to you sweetie. That hcg sounds great for about 5w. As for the spotting, 1st trimester bleeding is really common and I am so glad that your OB is reassuring you so much. Though, I know if I was in your shoes I would feel the same way after our experiences
PLC - thanks hun, I am feeling quite a bit more positive now about the whole starting ttc again thing. I went to my naturopath yesterday and she was so good and reassuring. She really seems to care more than my own dr and made me up a rescue remedy custom-made for me and my paranoia!!!!!!! I swing from being really scared to really excited - right now I can't wait to get going again!
Ruthie - oh sweetie you are having such a rough time, the old saying it never rains, it pours is so true for you right now. I really really hope your DH gets another job again quickly so that we can be 2009 belly buddies together. I love the poems that you post, they are so beautiful and always manage to bring a tear to my eye
Mel - if you are sure that you o-ed CD13, maybe split the difference and get your bt CD20? At least that way, your progesterone would still definitely say if you'd o-ed or not but from what you've said, sounds pretty promising.
I had all these things I wanted to post but I have forgotten them all so sorry for such a lame attempt at personals. Nothing much happening here but a big hi to Jen, Hannah, Megsmum and all you other lovely ladies out there

    Melissal - Night shifts, uggghhhh...

Mel - I would get the BT done 7 or 8 days after you Oed. If you get it done much later than that, it will be dropping and may indicate that you didn't O - been there done that Good luck!

jackjack - for you and your DH. It is so hard on the blokes, I know my DH struggled after mine too I hope the 4 weeks flies by - the waiting to try again sucks too I know - and you get some answers.

Mannie - I'd steer away from the Nurofen too. I'm pretty sure Panadeine Forte is OK to take though, I had a sinus infection when pg with DD and my ob said it was OK to take if I needed it. I must admit I didn't though, personally I'd put up a bit of pain and just take some Panadol, but that's just me Hope you are feeling better soon!

Tam - the discharge is nothing, those BT results sound good! All the best for your next one. I haven't heard anything about the pessaries irritating your cervix, but that doesn't mean its not possible.

    Ruthie - Lovely poem

Hi to plc, AJC, HannahD and anyone else that I have missed!

AFM - still plodding along, I have my last HCG injection tonight. DH is getting edgy though, he asked me last night if there was any way we could find out earlier than my BT next Fri! Not much point testing until about 6 days after the last injection though, which is Thurs Only 7 sleeps until I know now, or maybe less if AF shows up first - I hope not...

    For Tam...
I had brown discharge AND bleeding at week 5,6,7... I then had MAJOR bleeding at week 11. I am now nearly 16 weeks pregnant and praying to all the gods and anyone willing to listen not to let me bleed again. Hope you are ok

Hi ladies. Sorry I haven't posted for a while, but my damn stupid internet has been down! Grrrr! Only have dial up for the time being too, so this won be a super long one. I just wanted to let you all know that my anatomy scan went perfectly the other day. The best anniversary present ever!! We found out we're having another little girl. We couldn't be happier. They said my bp was a tad high, but didn't seem too concerned. I'm just happy our little girl is growing wonderfully!!

To all of you who have had the dreaded witch arrive, I'll try pulling out my Hulk styles, but they don't seem to be having the desired effect at the moment!!

To all of you who have just joined us, I'm so sorry, but you will find so much love and support here!!

To all you other wonderful ladies, I'm thinking of you and crossing everything I can!!

    xx

Ruthie - Thanks for the beautiful poem. I'm so sorry you're unwell. Things have just got to look up for you soon. Rest up sweetie.

Tam - Those levels look great. I don't have any experience with pessaries, but I have heard that irritation of the cervix can cause a brown discharge which is nothing to worry about. A friend of mine had bleeding right through her pregnancy and was even told at 11 weeks that she had miscarried. Her daughter is now 2 years old.

megsmum - Sending you lots of

tutmae - Yay for a perfect little girl.

and to jen, melissa, mel, jackjack, mannie, plc, ajc and anyone I have missed.

AFM - My me-day on Wednesday turned out to be 3 days off work with a stomach bug on top of headaches. DH has it too and came home from work early today. At least we get to spend a friday night together (he usually works afternoon shift and gets off work at 11pm). Have a great weekend ladies.

    Ruthie

I have been needing to cry my eyes out since I started this whole TTC journey, and your poem is one that I will remember for ever, so sad yet so comforting. If you can do that for me, and I am worlds away in Aus, I know good things will come your way, and 2009 will be a wonderful year for you..

Gosh its quiet in here today!!!!
Ruthie - just wanting to send you a big hug and wish you a speedy recovery. Oh well hun, at least 2009 has GOTTA be better than 2008
I have a crummy UTI that I just can't seem to shake. I dunno, I had never had one in my life and this is my third one for the year . Its so annoying, DH and I took stuff for 6 weeks to wipe out the bad bacteria and replace it with good, now I need stupid antibiotics which will mean all the good it did will be wasted - GRRRR!!! Anyway, enough whining. Huge hi to everyone and hope you all have a great weekend
