Trying to Conceive after Miscarriage or Loss ~ June/July 2010

Reet- Aww thanks hun. Your thoughts are really appreciated. I've been on the phone to mum a couple of times today, just chatting and trying to keep her spirits up. She seems ok, considering. I booked some flights this afternoon so I'm going to see my family on Tuesday and staying until Friday night. This way I'll get to talk to the boss on Monday, like you said. They're just going to have to suck it up. I need to be there especially for mum. I'm feeling quietly confident now, with the spotting... and backpain. Just waiting it out, I suppose. The interesting thing is that I'll be at mum's house when I can test! So packing my one and only pg test! lol... Maybe I should sneak a test in before I go. Decisions decisions. I said to her today my lower back was sore and she asked if af was coming. I said no I'm 4 days away and she just said 'hmmmmmmm'. :D Hopefully she knows best as always!

I lmao at your bd story tho.... that's pretty funny you had to face away from eachother to get your groove on. lol. I hope next month your DH can refrain until the +opk! I also read about Millyd and Possum.... very sad. :( Seems like there's a lot of sadness going on lately, so let's hope one of us gets a BFP in here soon!

Think I'll take the laptop with me when I go home, so I can keep you posted on any developments. FX I'm utd, It would be really nice to share that with mum.

Yep i think he was feeling the pressure might have been a bit too intense with baby making this week. But i didn't want to miss that egg. He really wants a baby too i just don't think he gets yet that its only a small window every month.

Hi all, sorry i haven't posted here for a while. It's been a bad couple of weeks. I have miscarried again. So i guess i'll be TTC again soon but i'm not ready to think about that just yet.

Iona - Grandma is still hanging in there, but I still don't know if I'll make it in time. Mum told me the doctors weren't hopeful of that. I'm feeling a little bit nervous about the trip ahead of me. I realized last night that's 4 whole days away from my DP! :( Sounds like your OPK goes - really quickly. I wish mine were like that! I tend to get more than one + in a row, so I'm always a bit on edge wondering when I actually O'd. Hope you caught your eggie during your bonanza.. and welcome to the tww :)

Reet - LOL I knew you'd want me to be naughty and break my testing rule. Kinda tempted tho, lol. I might just do one tomorrow..... that's 12dpo. I'm so nervous, with everything going on right now things are getting a bit hectic and crazy. I'll let you know if I did cave in and test.

AFM, No more spotting that I've noticed. Although I did have ewcm this morning. Very out of the ordinary for me at this time of month. What is THAT supposed to mean? Shouldn't I be getting drier??I also had to get up during the night to pee again, and it seems really dark in colour. Sorry for all the TMI..... :redface: It's so hard not to get my hopes up! I felt quite queasy this morning, but it's so hard to know if it's real queasy or just nerves. Everything going on right now has me a bit rattled. I don't know what I think right now! I'm going to be so mad if my body is playing tricks on me again. Does that just mean my af symptoms are EXACTLY the same as pg symptoms? That seems so cruel.

Just a quickie before work. Sorry about me-ness, I'll be back later on for persies.

So I dreamt I POAS this morning, but my alarm went off before I saw the result. I wasn't even intending on testing today but thought what the hell. It turns out it was a :bfp:!!!!! 12dpo and it's BFP! DP was shocked and excited, he said 'yay'... LOL.

Buying a couple more tests this afternoon so I can make sure.

AFM - I got an early christmas present from DH yesterday....A new nikon camera!!! so excited, now i just have to learn how to use it :) Busting to know how my tww is going to end already.....not really any pg symptoms just one boob feels like it is letting down???? weird cuz it is only the one....and also a little lower back pain, but none of the usual like feeling sick or tired!I think i will try to hold out til the weekend to test if i can, I will try and keep up this week!

family saga continues with another nicer email from my brother last night (after i sent him another one telling him some home truths) still no admission they are in the wrong so things continue, im taking my DD off to her specialist today to get her eye checked from her fall, hopefully he is happy with it !

my memory is terrible can we maybe write a list of who is in the 2ww so we all know where everyone is at ?

Hi to everyone else and sorry to have missed the new names in this thread since I was last here - very hard to keep up, you girls go at a cracking pace!!

Anyway, just popping in to say hi and still following you all along. Nothing much to report here - still temping and finally seeing a lovely normal pattern this month which hopefully (fingers crossed) will mean we can finally get our IVF show on the road in the next month or two. Got my EDD approaching so feeling a bit flat about that but otherwise OK. Love to everyone.

AFM- no idea what is going on atm, things with DP are going fantastic atm but on the TTC front... well I still don't know when I O'd, I thought I did but FF is CONSTANTLY changing the day :( if it is cd13 then that is fine but if it were cd10 then I'm out for this month... another option that I don't really want to think about is that I havn't even O'd yet or that I might not even O this cycle. If I'm not UTD this cycle I might take a break. I have been TTC since the beginning of August so I think that a break is definately needed. I will still be temping and lurking so you wont be rid of me just yet ;) On a plus side I have been feeling nauseas the last two days so I will be haning around till AF shows up just in case.... yeah that was a lot more meness than I was expecting :redface: sorry

Forshelby ~ WOW so excited for you that you got your BFP! All the best for the next 9 months :dance:.
So sorry about your grandma though - always a hard thing to go through - big hugs.

I am sorry about your Grandma, serious illnesses are never easy. Hope your boss was understanding and that you get to spend some time with your fam. It's not the best reason to be going home, but you are, and that's the main thing. Take care - 12 hours is a very long drive. Glad you are taking the big metal bird instead.

Mathew's Mum - sweetie - I didn't know you "hated" needles. I am lucky, pretty much no problems at all. Although it is annoying when they have to hunt for a vein.

Alice - so good to see your name again. Thinking of you with your EDD coming up. They are tough days, but I was glad to be "past" mine. Almost like a little weight had been lifted? Or maybe just not living in fear/expectation of that date anymore? Good news that things are becoming very predictable temp wise and bring on IVF!

Minnie - good for you! Good luck with DD's specialist appointment.

Bons - hold out girl you can do it, especially with that new toy to learn all about. I am totally addicted to taking photos of the cats.... they always have a camera jammed in their face... poor little things... but I reckon they are good to practice on. DH has a Cannon EOSD, sounds similar to yours, but I don't know enough about it. I just like to point and shoot and see what the photo looks like.

Reet - LMAO about your BD style..... it does lose it's "romanticism" whilst tcc but it's worth it. I think it's actually more romantic that BD'ing occurs when tcc as it means both partners have to be committed to some extent to the outcome, because sometimes the process is pretty menial. Although I have to say the 7 days in a row marathon that resulted in little chicken, was pretty awesome and not too hard. Probably because we were both on holidays at the time.....just like my friend Bermuda Girl ( but she's in a different thread - no guessing where their emby got a start)

AFM - mostly all good here. Something happened ( leaking a little fluid) that I need to call the Ob about. I am pretty sure its all ok, but better to check. Monday mornings he's usually in theatre so I will call in a little while, cause then I don't have to wait to long for his staff to call back and tell me when to come in. I don't cope too well with waiting... so the later I leave it to call the less I have to wait. In the meantime I can make like an emu and put my head in the sand and ignore it.

I just heard from Mum, she said Gran passed away at 3.30 this afternoon. She cried, then I cried (normally i can keep my composure but not this time!) and then she giggled at me for blubbering so hard, lol... gotta love Mum. Anyway, I wanted to cheer her up so I spilled the beans and told her about my BFP. She said "ARE YOU REALLY?" Then she started to worry I wouldn't be ok to fly and deal with all the stress etc. Before all of this though, I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. Now I have mixed emotions. happy for me, but sad for my Gran. At least she isn't suffering anymore. Anyway, enough doom and gloom... I'll still be around to stalk you. When are YOU testing? hehe

Dory - Lol@ Dory brain... I'm still a little bit shocked myself! Not sure about the scrabble club, I don't think I have any reason to believe bd might be a problem, but for some reason.. I'm afraid to. I don't want to see blood..... and that's what I'm afraid will happen.

Matthews mum - That is so sweet, I'll remember that when I'm on my travels. Funnily I really didn't want to go back home again NOT utd, so this is pretty amazing. I miscarried as soon as I got back to the Gold Coast after my last trip, so that's got me a bit scared, but for no good reason at all. I hope you catch your eggy this month!


AFM, I rushed out and bought another test (or more truthfully, a 3 pack LOL) to make extra sure I am actually pg. It too was positive. I did take a picture, but probably won't post it since we all know what 2 lines looks like. When I showed DP the first one in the morning, my hands were shaking. I just held it up to him, and said 'do you see a line?' He said "I see two lines. You're pregnant! Yay!" Then when I left for work he gave me a kiss and said 'bye mummy'. So cute.

Anyway I'm still a little bit in shock, and finding it all very surreal. Last time I was so afraid and stressed out, this time is so different. Oh and DP even called one of his friends to tell him straight away, he was so excited. LOL... very sweet. I also told my closest friend today, so we're even. hahaha....

On a sadder note, my Gran did pass away today as you may have read up there ^^. The boss was pretty fine with me taking leave, so I'm all set to jump on a plane tomorrow. It's going to be a very emotional couple of days for me. And it won't be easy to keep myself in check if I get all hormonal. Oh deary me. What timing this bubby has. Same as his/her mama though. :)

Sorry for the long me-ness there at the end... just in a bit of a daze still and trying to gather my thoughts! I also just want to say that I feel incredibly sad for those of you who haven't had this kind of luck. Not in a pity way, just saying I understand. I am really blown away this happened on the second month of trying, and am truly sorry it can't be this easy all the time. So I've decided to have a stern word with the universe so I can take you all to the PAML thread with me very soon. I'm a bit scared to post in there.... I guess I will introduce myself soon enough.

It feels very weird to be grieving and celebrating at the same time. I imagine this is a lot like what mum went through when I was born and HER grandma died. What a strange co-incidence it is.

forshelby - so sorry hun to hear about your grandma :hug: :hug:, now I want you to take it easy over the next few days (I know it will be hard) but just take everything in your stride. Oh your mum is such a sweety with all the concerns with you travelling etc.

lol you sound like me when I went and bought tests last time - I tossed up between buying one or three (of course the 3 won). Sounds like DP is settling into the pregnancy thing (so cute of him) - so don't stress too much about him (word of advice, he may feel left out the next coming months but just remind him it's all worth it in the end.

FF is telling me to test on the 19th so 2 weeks from today (so over things happening on the 19th, it use to be my fav number)

Reet- I understand that one, I not long got my net back up to speed lol.

I spoke too soon earlier my friend is back TTC soon, she started spotting then cramping so bad she was violently ill :( She only just got up the guts to tell a couple of people then this. The hospital said there is no heartbeat. I hope that is the end of the bad going around atm. I am so sorry for everyone that have lost recently, in and out of belly.

Feeling very flat thinking about everything i hate the TWW and think there's no way it has worked i have no symptoms :wall:
Would be nice next week to get a BFP that would mean alot to everyone in my family i wish i could see into the future if only a week or two

So who would've thought taking the train to the airport would be so nauseating. Everything stinks. Food, perfume, ughhhhh. I swear someone has bathed in cologne, it's awful. Being jostled around doesn't help eigher, lol. I also love how nobody helps the woman struggling to lift her suitcase. :( can't wait to get off this thing! About an hour or so to go.
