Well, no preggy symptoms, but I don't mind. Reading all about Jen's Dacquori's (Sp?) makes me crave a nice glass of vino- maybe after the weekend. :D AF is due on Monday really, but i am going to test on Sun, as it is the anniversary of my Grandad's death and it would be nice to have a BFP to take the sadness out of the day. If it is a BFN, I'll just look forward to a nice glass of shiraz instead.

hey girls

well af arrived for me yesterday, way too early. i think i was ok with her coming but the fact it was early is really depressing.

anyway i have decided to make an appt next week to see an acupuncurist and herbalist, i want to start exploring ways of getting my body in optimal condition and hopefully lenghtening my luteal phase. my mum has been hassling me about going for a while but after reading your advice plc it has finally sunk in that it won't hurt and could help.

anyway enought about me- don't have time for heaps of personals so just some super quick ones

pbstar - sorry about at. I have been tempted to try accupuncture myself but just haven't had the motivation to find one that specialises in fertility. I had reflexology last night which was really relaxing, the only things she picked up on was my sinus (have it bad atm) and my shoulders (always have sore shoulders because I'm glued to a computer all day every day (well when I'm at work anyway).

Canary - hope you get a BFP on Monday, the shiraz would be nice but cross fingers it's a BFP.

Jodsan - you're doing great with your weight loss. Good on you! Sounds like you are nice and recharged - perfect receipe for a BFP!!!!

Oh - one more little thing - just need reassurance. AF's evil (sister - whatever she is) Thrush paid me a visit shortly after O. It was quite a bad bout of it and I knew I wouldn't be able to wait until af showed up to treat it so I used some canesten cream to treat it. Just worried about the 'what if I'm pregnant factor' and I did a bit of internet searching and found that people have used the cream but just not inserted the applicator too far in so that is what I did. I just didn't see any sense in putting up with it and waiting to see IF I am pg this cycle, treating it surely couldn't be more harmful than leaving the bacteria there?

jen - yep, yeast infection or it can also be called candida. ick! ! ! Under control now. Oh the joys of being a woman.

Am happy with my temps so far this cycle, much better than last cycle. I guess the major factor though is the LP so only time will tell.

mm teacher - thanks for the reassurance. It would be great if it's a sign of pg but as usual not getting my hopes up. Trying to just focus on work and a few other things at the moment.

AJC - meant to get back to you earlier. I used canesten while pg with DS and all was ok - used the cream, not oral tablet. I have found in recent days that things are not so lovely down there so suspecting i might have the same deal. So I'm just trying to have some yakult each day and see how that goes. Otherwise I'll have to get the canesten.

Morning ladies... back again! DF went with a friend and my DSD on his boat to the islands that are off the coast here. It's called Santa Cruz Island, where they have the world's largest sea cave. You can google it and they have a clip showing the entrance to this cave--it's huge, you can actually drive the boat into the cave--so you're going inside the island! Anyhow, that's where he's headed. There's no cell service out there, and they may have to end up camping on the boat tonight, since the Santa Barbara channel gets pretty rough, and he's only in a 14 ft. lake boat! We've taken it out on the ocean lot's of times, but never out that far. He's supposed to be back tomorrow morning around 8 for Mother's day (if he ends up having to stay the night). Hopefully the weather advisory doesn't change and they end up stuck out there in a small craft advisory! On good days people actually take kayaks out there, here's hoping it's a good day! :crossfingers:

Had some much needed alone time last night with DF. While my FF chart shows that yesterday was the first of my forecasted O days (my forecasted days go through the 17th!), I'm pretty sure there's no way that's the case. AF only left 3 days ago! Last month I O'ed 12 days after AF, so I'm thinking my fertile days will begin on the 14th, and will probably O on the 17th. Too bad last night wasn't my fertile period or I wasn't O'ing, because we BD 5 times yesterday alone!!! OMG, does anyone have a wheelchair? :rofl: It was nice, though, because I knew it wasn't an opportune time as far as being fertile, yet I completely enjoyed myself anyhow! No pressure, KWIM? Anyhow, if this is an indicator of how it's going to be, then maybe this will be my month for a BFP!! Ok, enough about me....

I had a lovely day today. I enjoyed a perfect autumn day, 22 degrees and a clear blue sky. My family put on a wondeful picnic in the country side, overlooking rolling hills with splashes of red, orange, yellow and green, it truly was a riot of colours...nature was showing off with her very best autumn colours. Wine, cheese and fruit platters, a selection of the finest cold meats, freshly baked bread rolls, and of course, great company, I truly had the best mothers day ever. My son made me the most beautiful home made presents, and had a wonderful day rolling down hills and making 'leaf' angels in the fallen leaves. It was perfect in everyway.

Angel Babies - good to see you still lurking - how are you?

Jen - it's so exiting watching the extension coming together, we're having a quiet day today. No builders at all. They should be back in 7am tomorrow when the frame gets delivered, bet they'll have it up by the end of the day. They just move so fast. I'm in a funny mood, I know I have to take some time off when they move inside (just too dangerous with other people kids here) but don't really want to. I have a new family just started and another one due to start and don't want to inconvienence them, but that's just me. I should just enjoy the break every "holiday" I took last year had a sadness attached - first when our friend was killed and then when i m/c.

My mothers day was very quiet, spent with DH and sons, did a little retail therapy, although something didn't work out just right - i ended up buying a birthday present for my boys, eldest is in April, youngest in May, so I bought them a large present to share. I kept telling them it was "mothers day" not "sons day" but that's what it's all about.

Got my results this morning. Test was done at 4 days after the previous test and was hoping for around 3800 and the result was 4697 so i am pleased with that result. Just taking a day at a time but it is reassuring if nothing else that i am fine to this point. Starting to feel a little blah and generally pretty tired.

I hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday with their mothers/grandmothers/children. We did the usual rounds with Mothers & Grandmothers. Felt a bit sad that I 'should' be a Mum too but tried really hard not to dwell on that.

Back into the working week :rolleyes: Oh well at least the tww is going by quickly this cycle. Should know by weekend if af coming or pg. Not really sure but breasts have been quite sensitive today and yesterday - probably just the clomid. Learnt long ago not to read into things too much.

Hello all to all potential-mum's-to-be and CONGRATULATIONS to mmteacher :clap:

You may know after our 2nd recent MC, DH and I were thinking of doing IVF with PGD. If I was younger we would certainly give natural another go. But I figured IVF may help with picking the best quality embryo for the job. Now, after a lot of contemplation, we have opted to try naturally for a couple of months and then reconsider it.

I rang a wonderful genetic counciller whom DH and I met last year (she also knows a lot about MC's) and spoke to her about my fear that my egg quality is seriously waining. My two recent losses in the past six months have affected my belief that I can carry a healthy baby to term at my age (turning 38 this month). But she was SO encouraging. She said to have two MC's was not out of the realm of "normal" and that she regularly saw women my age that had the same experience and went on to have a normal pregnancy. She was convinced my eggs are not "all bad".

So I hope this gives you all a little hope. We deserve to get there!

mmteacher--Cute new ticker! I'm sure your mom will understand why you're keeping your secret, but I can understand how hard it would be to keep it quiet! Hope you enjoyed the movie!


mollycat--I think you should enjoy your time off, especially since you deserve to have some time off that isn't grief-related! Take advantage of it, girl :)

Where there's hope--So glad to hear your doc's feeling so positive about giving it a try naturally! Not that I have anything against IVF, but of course, if you CAN do it naturally that's always the optimum way. 38 years YOUNG is no sweat--look at all these women in their 40's that are still having babies: Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett (not purposely listing Aussie only gals lol...) Halle Berry... So don't worry, you've got plenty of time! You're in my prayers!

AFM..... Happy to say DF made it back from his island expedition! He had a great time and is rather impressed with himself to have made the trip in such a small boat! Can't tell you how many times he was told he was crazy for even making the attempt, which only makes him want to succeed even more. I'm hoping it's all out of his system now, as it was pretty nerve-wracking for me! We had a nice Mother's day. Got to eat at Panda Express---mmmmm orange chicken, chow mein, and fried rice! Then we went Geocaching, where you have to use a GPS coordinates to find a "treasure"--has anyone else heard of this? It's great fun, we used to do it all the time, but slowed down a bit during the winter. You guys should check into it--people all over the world play. I've even found a Geocoin that came from Portugal! It's like a huge treasure hunt that spans the globe.... good fun!

Glad to hear your stories of great mother's days. It was Mothers day in March in the UK, so I was not out visiting my Mum this weekend.

I am on CD 33 today. I have not yet POAS. I know that I said I was going to on Sun (anniversary of GF's death), but I had a look at past cycles and AF seems to appear on CD 33 or 34, so it seemed a bit early. Also my bb's are not sore at all, so in my mind I cant be pgt! I am really tired, though. The last time that I got this tired was when I was pgt......... but I could be trying to convince myself of symptoms!! Aaah!- it is always difficult to keep my mits off the pee stick at this time of the month!!:lol:

canary - thx about the good wishes. i can't wait til u test hun. but just to let u know that i didn't have sore bbs either - in fact nothing much at all but a lower abdomen heaviness. The tiredness has just now started to kick in for me. Do you prefer AF to turn up or continual BFNs? Some people prefer one over the other. I guess ul know within next couple of days, right? Good luck!!!

Canary--Mother's day in March? That's strange, I didn't know that. So how long are you going to be able to hold out before you POAS? I'll be chuffed to bits (just learned this on Ellen--it means thrilled :lol: ) to hear of you getting a BFP!

Hi all!:) just a quickie about bbt during conception & pregnancy...

What bbts have you charted during the tww up til finding out you are preggers?

I bought a thermometer last thursday & was able to check my temp on friday morning & this morning. I think Im supposed to chart it at the beginning of AF but thought i'd practise first!

Anyways, fridays was 36.7 & this morning was 36.8. My AF is due end of this week i think as it is my last week in the tww... is this bbt about right in this instance?

I've heard that bbt elevates up to 37 degrees during ovulation... and then drops before AF - is this right?

Any information would be great!

Hey there everyone.

Well I'm not really new to BB, but I haven't been around since last August or so. Last year I had a m/c and a chemical pregnancy, and DH and I ended up deciding not to TTC for a while. One of my girlfriends is due to have a baby anytime now, which is so exciting, and DH and I have just decided that we're ready to try again, so here I am!

It's nice to see that a lot of the girls who were in the TTCAML forums when I was around last year have moved onto the PAML ones now :) So there's hope for us all!

A little bit about me, I'm 27 years old, DH is 29. He's an image of health ;) And I need to lose...a bit of weight.. :blush: After my previous pregnancies, I had a full round of blood tests done and everything came up normal, so it appears that my losses have been due to bad luck, or my weight/blood pressure. So fingers crossed in a big way. My cycles are just a little unreliable, though I tend to have a 27 day cycle. I'm on day 9 now, and we DTD last night. At least I know we'll be getting the DTD in at the right times because DH is terribly enthusiastic right now! For the first time we're both feeling completely ready for a baby at the same time. Everything has gone right this year so far..so hoping the pattern continues!

Looking forward to getting to know you girls, and seeing lots of BFPs :)

Dont have time to do personals, as i am at an internet cafe in Hong Kong...i promised no BB on holidays but i have a question for you all please!!!!!

im just wondering if anyone has had the experience of having a missed period (5 days late now), but still BFN? i have POAS about 5 times, so its definitely not the stick!
please shed some light, im going crazy!!!!!

Hey tina--I've been really worried about you! Did you feel that huge earthquake? I had the same experience with my last cycle, but it was my first real cycle after my m/c, so I'm sure it was my body getting back to "normal". I was also 5 days late, with BFN's, but she showed up for me. Sorry, that's probably not much help! :pray: you stay safe and come home with a BFP! Hope you're enjoying your trip!
