Well its 06.30AM! I've been at work for half hour or ready. I hate early mornings!! Getting up at 5am doesnt do me any good!
Good thing tho, this is my last day at work before my nice week off with DF in Scotland. I'm so looking forward to it!!!!
The morning sickness seems to have eased slightly, although the heartburn is still lurking quite badly, seems to be with everything i eat at the moment.
This may be my last post before i disappear for a week as i have so much to do before we go, but will try get another one in!!!
I want to read of lots of when i get back so here is some Just for luck.
thank you so much for the warm welcome!! It made me really happy when I logged on this morning.
It feels so good to be around women who have gone through the same; I feel like I don't have to explain anything. I think some of my friends don't understand why I still feel sad on certain days - they cheer me up to look forward and be positive, and that m/c happen all the time etc. I know that of course, and they mean well, no doubt about it, but it's a different thing alltogether when it happens to you. There are some days I believe I will never ever get pregnant (today might be such a day...:-( but on others, I'm really positive. These ups and downs are very exhausting...
Last week was especially hard, as I found out that my miscarried baby (the August one at 9 weeks) was a girl, and that there was no chromosomal abnormality. There must have been a problem with the implantation or a random complication, the doctors couldn't tell me. I am seeing a m/c specialist now, and it appears that I have the MTHFR mutation (but only heterozygotous). My doctor wants to put me on heparin as soon as I am pregnant again. During my last pregnancy, I also got heparin shots, but at a later stage, and I think it was too late already.
I try to take good care of myself and have started Yoga and Pilates to calm down my nerves
We'll see what the next days will bring. I must be 9dpo by now...
I am really looking forward to getting to know all of you! One newbie question: where do I get the little angel baby symbols for the signature?
Well I would love to be able to come on and tell you all that the POAS was positive but they havent been. I still have a few days to go and the "signs" are stronger and stronger.... BBs today were aching something cronic... so much so that i felt like I needed to hold onto them as we were walking around.
So while i cant annouce a BFP.... I m not giving up yet. My normal cycle is 25 days which has been and gone however clomid changes it so who knows.... I had the IUI on Monday so the 2ww is not up until the 6th.
So thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart..... for all or your well wishes..... As soon as I know I will let everyone know.....
Fifi - Have a great time in Scotland. I'm so jealous. Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back.
Angel - Still for you and Gabby. Those signs sound promising. just for you.
I've got 2 days before AF is due and DH made me promise I wouldn't test before then. I'm not sure whats going on with my body. I don't really feel pregnant but I have no pre-menstrual symptoms either. Will let you all know one way or the other when I know.
Thanks for the well wishes, it means a lot to have you girls to talk to. Im going to start the 100mg(2tablets) of clomid on thursday and pray to god it works, im trying so stay positive without getting to obsessed about it but as you all know it can be very hard not to obsess.
Milla: welcome, your definately in the right place the girls here are great. They are great listeners and offer lots of support and encouragement.
Angel babies: good luck on the 6th i pray you get a BFP.
Jenushka: Good luck with your 2ww i pray you get a BFP. Dont worry if you use the tests i was so bad during my first 2ww when i found out i ovulated i brought a 3 pack and when it said yes i couldn't believe it so over 2 days DH and i did 7 tests 3 different brands just to make sure.
Angel that little Gabby is settling him/herself in nice and tight and you'll get a great result on Monday.
Rachel B. All the best with the new dosage of clomid on Thursday. Luckily when I was on it, my side effects weren't too bad. Mainly headaches.
HannahD - for the next two days. Hoping you get a nice BFP.
Fifi - Have a great time in Scotland. One of my friends who lives over here but comes from Scotland, has just gone back for a months holiday.
Jenushka - hope that you get one of these
Milla - welcome: you've certainly found the right spot. This is the most supportive bunch of women around. They'll laugh with you and cry with you and there's always a shoulder to lean on when you need it. I'm so sorry that you had to find us and really hope your stay here is very short (that sounds terrible doesn't it). But I mean it in the nicest possible way.
Jen - Where we're you when I was sleeping? Usually there's at least one hello from you. What I'm doing up so early on a Saturday beats me. Just can't sleep. The house is just "so" quiet. Now where to start cleaning........... I'm thinking of buying DS1 a new bed. He has a king single loft bed (which we've tucked DS2's bed under), but he's complaining that he's hot (he is pretty close to the ceiling). Just trying to work out if we can fit everything in their room. Would be so much easier if the new room was done and I could separate them. I'm really doing some pushing on that one. Maybe next weekend we can get it ready to do the walls. I've got a new little bub starting in a couple of weeks. This is the little one that was born just before my angelbub was due. I think it's going to be pretty hard to start with, everytime I look at her, I think about where mine should be.
Hi, Milla--Welcome... I'm so sorry to hear of your losses, and especially sorry to hear about your baby girl that you recently lost. It's so hard either way--whether you have the answers or not, the grief of what you've gone through and what you've lost will always have an impact on you. I'm glad to hear your friends are supportive of you... it can be tricky with someone who hasn't experienced such a loss. You'll find there are some that are helpful, and those that don't know what to say, so they just completely ignore it. I found it so much easier to deal with my emotions once I found this place and these girls! I that we're able to offer you the same type of support! I pray that your TTC journey is short and sweet and that the Heparin helps bring you your forever baby. Big
fifi--You lucky dog! Enjoy your week in Scotland! Glad to hear the m/s has eased some, hope it stops completely real soon. Which is the lesser of two evils? M/S or heartburn? Have a fun, safe trip! Will catch up when you get back!
AJC--Hey sweetie! I'm so grateful that you're always popping in! It's been a while since you've given us an update.... how's things with you and your little growing bean? When's the next scan?
plc--Glad you made it into chat this am! Wish it happened more often than once a week! *kiss* Here's a from a crazy American!
Next scan is at 32 weeks to check the position of the placenta. I'm really not bothered if I have a c/s though and Ob has same opinion as me - most important thing is that bub is healthy so who cares how she/he arrives. Am starting to define what the movements are now - at first everything just felt like little nudges but now I can feel the difference between a roll or a kick. Movements are getting stronger now too, last night they were almost too distracting to sleep - not complaining was lovely just to lay there and try and picture what bub is doing. Am starting to set up the nursery this weekend - very excited. Hoping you can all join us in PAMl real soon. I think we're due for a run of BFP's, I just know it.
Hannah--You're right, it's been eerily quiet around here lately! Seems like it's a little better today than yesterday! Here's some vibes for you! Wishing you 2 big fat lines when you POAS!!
jenushka--Thanks for the luck! I'm all geared up and ready to go! Now as long as I don't sit down on the couch, I'm all good.... if I sit down at all (other than when I use the computer) I'll fall asleep within 5 minutes! Yay for you for feeling positive! You know you've got my prayers coming your way! Good luck holding out on POAS!!
Easha--Thanks for joining us in chat today (last night for you)! It was great catching up with you!
Angel--Saying poop loads of for your BFP!! So happy your internet at home is fixed! Hope this means we'll be able to chat more often! Love you bunches! Bucket loads of
