Thanks also to those ladies who have passed on their kind thoughts for me this week ... this thread is the safest place in the world... Angel babies - that song is amazing. I could only listen to it once but i know as the days go on I will head back and listen to it and think of my bubs.
afm - Had the d&c first thing yesterday and was home by 11am thankfully. Can't seem to get enough of my son at the moment. Poor child is at risk of overdose from kisses and cuddles. Sorry if this is tmi, but had very minimal spotting only after leaving hospital until 6pm tonight when I had the most god-awful cramps that had me doubled over and a lot of fresh red bleeding. Didn't have that last time around - anyone else have this? I took some capadex that they prescribed me and that seemed to help. Bleeding has eased up a lot now.
Have been keeping VERY busy and working hard at being very strong but kind of came unstuck today. Must have been the drop in hormones after y/day. Also we have very close friends that are due 12 Feb (6 days before we would have been) who had their 12w scan today - they called tonight to let us know it went well. Then we had to tell them about us. I wish them every happiness in the world but ... ouch. I am going to ask the counsellor to give me some coping strategies on how to deal with the constant reminders that this will mean for us and the best way to not become a bitter old hag (I know I can say these things to you girls...)
Also, I have decided to go back on the pill for a little while. My poor body needs a break - this year has seen 20 weeks of being pg and feeling cack, 2 miscarriages and 2 d&c's. And it's only August. Yikes. However have dusted off my pom poms and plan on being a ttcaml cheerleader until I feel brave enough to try again...

Jenushka - Hug that little boy of yours until he begs you to stop :hug: !!! After my d&c I never got any really bad cramps (mine were about twice the strength of usual AF cramps), but for the first day and a bit when I went to the toilet I would literally gush blood (sorry tmi). I think it can be different for everyone, but try not to worry too much. If the pain gets really bad though, I'd call your doctor. Does your state have a "nurse on call" hotline like we do in victoria?

DH is actually bugging me to test this month! Usually he tells me that I shouldn't test until days after AF is due, but he wants me to test tomorrow. Actually, he called me today to tell me to test, but I'd already done my morning pee :cryinglaugh: Sooooo, I am going to test tomorrow morning. Please please please have two lines little test!!!

Actually, I forgot to say something to Jenushka. I was going to try to convince you not to go back onto the pill. Not that I'm trying to tell you to keep TTC'ing, because if you need to give your body a break, then by all means go for it. I've just been doing a lot of reading about the pill and it's effects on us, and I've come to the decision that I will never ever go back on the pill. Did you know that the synthetic hormones can remain in your body for up to a year after stopping the pill? Crazy huh? No wonder people's cycle can be messed up after coming off the pill. I was going to suggest that seeings as you've learnt so much about your body and your fertile window, maybe you could stay off the pill and just not bd around your fertile window. It usually only means not bd'ing about 5 days of each month. Sorry if it sounds like I'm ranting (oops), and if you still choose to go on the pill then I totally respect that :) :hug:

I am so scared of getting another ectopic....then its straight to IVF for me:(. Everytime I get a twinge in my right side (that's where the remaining tube is)my heart stops. The waiting really hurts.

Sandy.... my theory on pee....ing... is this.... From a sanity point of view...... if i keep POAS and I get BFN..... and then AF arrives... then i m like... ohhh ok well i have been getting negatives....it is better for my head than to be stressing out waiting to POAS on the exact date only to have a BFN...... If I keep peein and it keeps going BFN... and AF still doesnt arrive.. who knows .. it may just end up BFP....
So in my round about way I hope that makes sense

I'm using OPK's this cycle for the first time, too! Actually, they're O test strips, is that the same thing--it is, right? Looking at your chart, mind you I'm no expert--but I would say you maybe O'ed on Sunday due to temp drop... which would mean BD Fri. and Tue. should be perfect! Still may be in for a chance today--so don't mention the possibility to DH that you may still be fertile! Mum's the word.... :shhh:

I would think a vaginal u/s would be able to show :heartbeat: But even without seeing the heartbeat, you'd still be able to see your bub, even if it's just a spot in a sac--which should relieve some stress! I had a D&C for my blighted ovum way back in '95, and I remember having cramps SO bad that I was laying of the bathroom floor in hot/cold flashes, feeling like I was in labor! It wasn't fun, and my heart is completely broken for you that you're going through this right now! You're such a trooper, and still so supportive of everyone else... again I say you're amazing and inspiring! Take care of yourself and your precious DS--I'm so glad you have him to get you through this! :hug:

firstly jenushka- my heart just broke for you thinking of having to take the phone call from your friends who had a good 12w scan the day after your d&c...as if it isn't hard enough already without that happening...not their fault of course but bad timing or what? good idea to talk to the counsellor about it because i am sure the constant reminders will be so hard. once again sending you major :hug::hug::hug: and please know that it is definitely ok to come unstuck, sometimes being strong and dealing with something means admitting to yourself it is ok to feel and hurt etc if that's what you need to do to heal.
oh and with the pain and bleeding...after my d&c i had nothing other than spotting for the first few days and thought i would get away with it but then it started really bad. i remember being really scared and speaking to my ob on the phone who said it was different for everyone but most ladies had some pain and heavy bleeding with clots at some stage. definitely call or see your doctor if you are worried and need the peace of mind.
thanks to everyone for your quiet and sneaky congrats...have poas again and it is pretty much the same as yesterday, maybe a smidgeon darker. it is pretty clear though, even dh is claiming it to be a bfp. i guess i just don't want to admit it to myself until i have at least got past when af is due (sunday). but who am i kidding, because i know if i end up losing this one i will still be devastated...maybe i should just enjoy it while i can?

pbstar - congratulate yourself on ur BFP sweet - you thoroughly deserve to enjoy that fact alone - how many months after all have you been waiting for that blessed hpt to come up positive and it finally has. All I (and the rest of us can do) is send positive positive vibes to you and ur bub (by the truckload :)). I am focussing on you lots so that those vibes can get to you express post. Well done sweetheart and as Angel says "One Day At A Time".

Jen - Wondered why it didn't come up when I searched on 'Sean's 2nd A.F.P. Dang'. Doh!! :doh: Found it tho. It was amazing!! And he landed on his feet! Impressive!! I love the sound track that he has put with it. What a great song. I haven't heard it before. Who is it by? I think it has a great moral.
Will be bringing back NO broken bones. Can't wait. I'm soooo excited!
