Unhappy When does AF come after m/c??????

I should know this already because of my previous loss but I guess I was just too messed up to even think of any of this then but this time I want to know soi that I can plan when to TTC again.

When does AF come after a m/c?
Is it ~28 days from the first day of bleeding from the m/c?
Is it on your "normal" cycle day?
Am I completely wrong on both counts?

Please someone help me, I don't know what to think right now, all I know is that I desperately need to know, I yearn for a baby and I have no idea what is going on with my body anymore, I feel useless.

It's different for everyone. Some ladies wait a couple of months for it to turn up, others never get it at all and get pg straight away. It's more likely to be around 28 days from when you bleed, but not likely to be clockwork to what your cycle was like.

hope you get that forever baby soon.

    Hello Damprye,
I am very sorry for your loss hun

I have had 2 miscarriages and Af turned up at different times after both. Neither turned up 28 days later though unfortunately. With my last MC (which was more recent), AF came 39 days later. I guess this is why Dr's like us to wait 2 cycles after a MC before starting TTC again, so we can get at least 1 regular cycle in there.

I hope your AF comes very soon

Oh honey you sound so sad, wish there was more i could say! Sorry but there is no really time that AF will return. It can take a few months or yes be back right on the 28days mark! Some women dont even have an AF before the TTC again. How far along were you? Your HCG levels can take a while to come down.

I know its hard to hear but the bestthing you can do is give your body and heart some time to heal!

I was 7w1d and I remember I was bleeding on the 17th of April. I really want to TTC ASAP. I DTD on the 28th of April (unplanned) and my normal cycle is 28-30 days but I doubt anything came of it, I'm just not that lucky, but I keep thinking that AF is about to come and it isn't here, I know 30 days is tomorrow but I feel like I am going nuts waiting. As soon as I get a "normal" cycle I want to start TTC but I don't know when it is actually going to happen. I want a baby with all my being. I know I am probably being selfish as I already have my boy but I need to hold my baby in my arms and I'm not even UTD yet.
I don't know what is wrong with me, I just feel like crying ALL the time, I cry at the slightest thing. I cannot watch movies anymore because I don't want my family to see me break down as I am supposed to be the rock, I can't even bear to tell them what happened and I don't think I ever will. I am crying right now, it is stupid and pathetic, there is nothing even to cry about, Not really, I am crying because my body is aching for a baby that I don't even have, a baby that is only though of but that I must have. I feel like such an idiot.

I'm so sorry you've had a loss. Waiting for that first AF is torture. Mine came 33days after my m/c (which was a d&c). I was 11weeks pregnant.
But my periods havent been regular again since then, its ridiculous! The 2nd one was 37 days and then 34 days......and im currently on CD24, wondering if this cycle will be a normal 30day one like I used to have before the m/c

Unfortunately there isnt really anything we can do. Just got to keep TTC and hoping.
The only thing that might help you to know how your cycle is going is to get a blood test done to see what your HcG is now......coz AF wont come until your HcG is at 0 again.

I hope you get UTD again very soon. Also, its very normal to feel so incredibly sad about all this. Its a very hard thing to go through, so heartbreaking...

Oh sweetness..... don't EVER beat yourself up for mourning. Ever. You lost a child. Only those who have been through the same understand. I was 7wk6d when I lost my first baby. First pregnancy too. It was devastating. It makes me so sad to see your negative self talk going on..... it's so damaging. Promise me you will give yourself permission to grieve for your loss. It's ok to cry as much as you need to. I was so so busy trying to keep my pain to myself after my mc that I wound up screaming in my sleep. DP woke me up, and told me what happened. You just can't keep these things inside, and to do so is so much worse than someone seeing you cry. It doesn't mean you're weak, it means you're human.

I know how much it hurts wanting to hold a baby you don't have. You are not stupid for feeling that way. I know I do, and I'm sure a lot of the ladies here do, too. This might sound like a cliche, but just walk through the pain. I don't know if you'd be interested or not, but there are a lot of lovely things you can do to memorialize your baby. I have a small flower garden, (which ironically never wilts, despite my forgetting to water it frequently) and I wear a ring with an october birthstone in the shape of a heart. These things help me to feel close to our baby, and to have something tangible to hold when I'm feeling down. I was lucky, and have an ultrasound picture as well. I rarely pull that out, but when I do, it is comforting to have.

Please lean on us, and don't be afraid of being judged here. These women have brought me back to life with their caring support. It helps so much not to feel alone, and we're all here for you, grieving with you. May your little one rest in peace.

Hi damprye, so sorry for your loss, not sure if things have changed for you. I lost my bubs in Feb this year, think we concieved two weeks later but went on to 7 weeks after the mc before very heavy AF arrived. Had to take tablets etc. My friend said about 45 days after the loss. Not sure if I had another early m/c as it started in the same way.

I spoke to my herbalist the other day and she said it could take months to get back on track which is disheartening. I am getting older so my F has nosedived massively and we wont get IVF cos we have kids alerady.

its hard, but be patient, I am sure things will sort themselves out, we've stopped trying and just aren't bothering with contraception, what will be will be.

Oh and don't worry about the emotional roller coaster, you are grieving and still have pg hormones dancing through your body, I am still leaking milk nearly 4 months after my loss! I can't even come here too often because I cry at the drop of a hat!
You are human, not an idiot, be strong and hug your family, hugs help lots

    Thank you everyone
AF arrived 6 weeks after m/c and I am trying again and now charting as well so that I know what is happening to my body.
