why does it hurt so bad?

Every time I find out someone else is pregnant?! I am generally happy for those, especially a cousin who has been LTTTC for 7yrs and her now due date was a week from my EDD.
But I can't help but burst into tears.
    Oh it just hurts.
    Thanks for listening

I'm so sorry. It does hurt. Its so hard when all you want to do is be the one making that announcement yourself. Don't beat yourself up - you're entitled to your grief

Of course it hurts, don't be so hard on yourself. I still find it hard to be happy for other people given my history even though I now have two babies.

why does it hurt so bad?

I can relate so much with what you are saying, my theory is I can't change that emotion but I do it away from everyone so no one thinks I am being selfish (as I know some would).
There is nothing wrong with feeling like this, it is completely natural, don't beat yourself up.
We are all here to listen anytime you need to let it out, hug hope you feel better soon :-)

why does it hurt so bad?

    Thanks ladies.
I think I don't like feeling selfish just as much as I feel despair, hurt and feeling as though I am losing my faith in that it will be my turn one day, again.
It's also hard when those who have been trying or have lost before seem to erase it all when their earth side one comes along. And I have asked them if having one here, makes it all better and they answered yes.
I guess it's hard to face the fact that everyone is different, and feels differently.

    Thanks again

Im so sorry you are hurting so bad MLR. I know how hard it is to see/hear of other people's pg's. It really stings especially when they are due close to your EDD. I also know how awful it is to have your heart broken more than once and its just plain cruel.

I am having a baby after 4 m/c in a row and over 2yrs TTC so dont give up hope. As for making it all better, well I can honestly say that the hurt is still very much there for me. Having this baby will never, ever erase all the pain I went through, but it does make me appreciate the baby more because of it.

yeah... you're allowed to be upset and struggle with it all.... it doesn't make you selfish....

if you ranted and raved and yelled and screamed at them.... how dare they do this to you....that would make you selfish... and I am quite sure you congratulate them (even if you are teary).... and cry in your own time.

I am quite sure, that even if having an earthside bub makes things better..... it doesn't stop them thinking of the others they have lost. There will always be a special place in your heart for them, and that's okay.

I watched The Help yesterday and I thought it was a lovely idea when the mother who suffered from three miscarriages planted rose bushes to commemerate the lost ones... maybe you need to do something special for yourself...?? maybe not...? that's okay too....

look after yourself and allow yourself to grieve
