Hey Lady Tess!! What is your average cycle hun? Mine is 29 days, and I always thought I ovulated around day 14-15 but on the cycle I conceived Cam, I O'd on day 11 or 12 I think from memory. They told me to start testing on day 12 (I did IVF so had to time it to perfection) but luckily I got a gut feeling to test on day 11 and it showed the positive smiley face for O!!!! So had I started testing on day 12 I could have missed the boat. On another occasion (I think it was 2 cycles before I had the FET and I was practicing with the ovulation kit), the kit said I O'd on day 17. So I don't think you should go by your cycle as such, just start testing around day 11 and you should be safe. Keep on testing until you get the confirmation of the surge.
