Trying to Conceive after Still Birth/Recurrent Miscarriage/Late Loss ~ February 2009

Am still in shock but am thankful beyond all belief. If I were talking to someone about my experiences I would say that TTC under the same circumstances as this (i.e having two losses already) is frightening, and there is a deep seeded belief that it will never happen for you. So when it does, its such a shock! I don't think I would give advice to someone about how to deal with the disappointment of TTC, nor would I suggest that it happened this month because I did anything special - I just don't think that's the case. Its just a biological function that we have no control over - and that's the hardest part about it.

DH and I obviously have our anxieties but have agreed together that we'll tackle every situation as it arises. Not a day earlier.

Just to clarify Nae, have you already seen two lines? I'm not up to speed in this room ;)

Nah no two lines for me yet but I am hopeful, if not this time - then next time or the time after that. I am just enjoying DH's company alot at the moment, its actually the closest we've been emotionally as well in months which is really nice.
Jas I don't think there is a word to describe the fear of TTC and Pregnancy after going through what we've all been through.
I don't know about offering advice but I certainly enjoy bouncing ideas off other ladies who are also TTC and what works for them. Of course its luck of the draw when it does work out but it never hurts to try new things - life is not a guarantee but think of all the fun we have :lol:;)
Yeah the room can be hard to keep up with - and names I can never remember what anyones real name is :doh:
I hope its all uneventful for you hun (the pregnancy that is), you deserve all the happiness in the world.

Sorry if I sounded like I was not the advice giving/taking type - definitely not me. Am a very open person. I was just worried to be the girl who finally falls pregnant and then tells everyone its as easy as "eating cheese", or "I just didn't worry this month and it happened" etc...

But I can say something straight off the bat - I was using the maybe baby and it was far too complex. My sister kept insisting I use the OPKs but I said I spent $90 on maybe baby so I was sure it would be better. In the end I gave up (because she usually is right about everything) and tried the OPKs... and yep, sure enough, they worked. Thats about the only thing I did differently. Oh and exercise. My GP said we needed endorphins to balance the checmicals or something like that, so I started training again. That is about the only thing I can say I did differently...

Anyhow, enough about me.

I agree entirely about spending time with DH. I love my husband so much and sometimes when I felt like I had nothing good in my life I just had to remind myself how fortunate I was to have such a great friend in him. I often wonder how difficult it would have been if I had an unsupportive companion.

DD - fingers crossed for you - I won't bother you with questions but will look forward to an update.

Hi Ladies,
My scan today went great. Our little guy is in the 50th percentile and growing well. It is really hard to believe after everything that we have been through. I am still waiting for that one scan where he isn't growing. I see my high risk doctor next week and have another growth scan done there.
I am feeling a bit better. I have been having terrible pains from everything stretching out. I have been house bound for a week or so now. I guess the pain should ease up in a few weeks, or so my doctor tells me. As long as I don't try to do too much I feel pretty good. My DH has been doing the cleaning and shopping, it's a nice break.


Congratulations on the BFP's in here. I hope there is another big wave of them like last time.

nobody in here would think that about you, I promise. we're a pretty cool group of women and we've all been through the trials of trying to become pregnant and lossing babies. Our stories are all different but we all share the same goal to become mummies to earth bound babies :D Your such a sweet girl, I am glad the OPK worked for you .

AFM - I have a day off today DH woke me up this morning to make sure I was not going out anywhere other than the PO to pick up one of his uni books. He made me get out all of NIki's things and put them near the door incase I need to leave the farm though the forecast wind gusts for this area is upto 80km, we're in a fairly open and hilly area not many trees/bush and also not much grass but its best to be prepared for a fight if we need too.
Aside from all the smoke giving me a headache I am feeling really sick today. I had my morning juice and all the vitamins and my coffee but couldn't eat the toasted ham cheese sandwich I just want to barf. Yesterday I was having lots of dizzy spells which was pleasent. I am beginning to think that I am UTD or that something is really wrong with me. Not going to test though until the end of next week to give AF time to come (if she comes)
Been doing 25 min on the treadmill 4 times a week and I feel great about it my fat butt still looks fat but I think its toning up YAY

Well, in all honesty DD& Dee, if I'm not UTD i'm going to be incredibly incredibly shocked because my BB's are killing me and I have a tender feeling in my lower abdoman. But I can't help but think I'm in for a very rude shock! I'm not doing any more HPT until AF is late, you girls need to be my rock because I cave rather easily! Over the span of the weekend I think I did about 5 tests :redface: Naughty! And only one was positive. I've made a pact with myself as well that if we're not lucky I'm going to stop TTC for a month or so to get this thrush sorted out with my naturopath, the stuff she gives me for it is a big no no if pg and she advises not to TTC while you're on it.

DD, If I were you I would have done 10 by now! ROLF.

hahahahahaha teagz you and me both - I went through 3 in 24hrs. So lets make a pack NO TESTING AT ALL UNTIL NEXT FRIDAY (13th March) That give us both 10 days to AF or no AF.

I am doing quite well. Haven't had too much m/s and just a fair amount of heartburn. I am waiting for my next scan on the 12th March - I can't wait!!!!

Teagz, so sorry about the BFN. I am so against testing early as it can be a bigger let down when you build yourself up & get a BFN then it is with AF arriving, well it is for me. I really hope its a false alarm.

Diana, based on the above, I don't suggest testing too early, particulary with all you have been through, wait until you know you'll get a BFP if you are pg. I am on CD15 today and no O yet, so still at it :D I really thought it happened yesterday, but no rise in temp this morning. It may be wonder if it can take 2-days for your temp to rise? Still praying for you and Dee :pray::pray: I want to hear two BIG BFP's soon girls.

Nae, I really hope you are UTD hun, that would be wonderful :D
