Sorry I don't have alot of time for personals today as am soooo busy at work but had to respond to a few of our UTD friends!

Beata, how is the first day back at work? Remember to talk to HR or someone if it gets too much for you. You must stay peaceful for your transfer in a few months hun! Good luck at the doctor tomorrow, hope you get fabulous news about your wonderfully healed uterus :D

Sorry if I sounded like I was not the advice giving/taking type - definitely not me. Am a very open person. I was just worried to be the girl who finally falls pregnant and then tells everyone its as easy as "eating cheese", or "I just didn't worry this month and it happened" etc...

But I can say something straight off the bat - I was using the maybe baby and it was far too complex. My sister kept insisting I use the OPKs but I said I spent $90 on maybe baby so I was sure it would be better. In the end I gave up (because she usually is right about everything) and tried the OPKs... and yep, sure enough, they worked. Thats about the only thing I did differently. Oh and exercise. My GP said we needed endorphins to balance the checmicals or something like that, so I started training again. That is about the only thing I can say I did differently...

Anyhow, enough about me.

I agree entirely about spending time with DH. I love my husband so much and sometimes when I felt like I had nothing good in my life I just had to remind myself how fortunate I was to have such a great friend in him. I often wonder how difficult it would have been if I had an unsupportive companion.

DD - fingers crossed for you - I won't bother you with questions but will look forward to an update.

Hi Ladies,
My scan today went great. Our little guy is in the 50th percentile and growing well. It is really hard to believe after everything that we have been through. I am still waiting for that one scan where he isn't growing. I see my high risk doctor next week and have another growth scan done there.
I am feeling a bit better. I have been having terrible pains from everything stretching out. I have been house bound for a week or so now. I guess the pain should ease up in a few weeks, or so my doctor tells me. As long as I don't try to do too much I feel pretty good. My DH has been doing the cleaning and shopping, it's a nice break.


Congratulations on the BFP's in here. I hope there is another big wave of them like last time.

Our stories are all different but we all share the same goal to become mummies to earth bound babies :D Your such a sweet girl, I am glad the OPK worked for you .

AFM - I have a day off today DH woke me up this morning to make sure I was not going out anywhere other than the PO to pick up one of his uni books. He made me get out all of NIki's things and put them near the door incase I need to leave the farm though the forecast wind gusts for this area is upto 80km, we're in a fairly open and hilly area not many trees/bush and also not much grass but its best to be prepared for a fight if we need too.
Aside from all the smoke giving me a headache I am feeling really sick today. I had my morning juice and all the vitamins and my coffee but couldn't eat the toasted ham cheese sandwich I just want to barf. Yesterday I was having lots of dizzy spells which was pleasent. I am beginning to think that I am UTD or that something is really wrong with me. Not going to test though until the end of next week to give AF time to come (if she comes)
Been doing 25 min on the treadmill 4 times a week and I feel great about it my fat butt still looks fat but I think its toning up YAY

But I can't help but think I'm in for a very rude shock! I'm not doing any more HPT until AF is late, you girls need to be my rock because I cave rather easily! Over the span of the weekend I think I did about 5 tests :redface: Naughty! And only one was positive. I've made a pact with myself as well that if we're not lucky I'm going to stop TTC for a month or so to get this thrush sorted out with my naturopath, the stuff she gives me for it is a big no no if pg and she advises not to TTC while you're on it.

Teagz, so sorry about the BFN. I am so against testing early as it can be a bigger let down when you build yourself up & get a BFN then it is with AF arriving, well it is for me. I really hope its a false alarm.

Diana, based on the above, I don't suggest testing too early, particulary with all you have been through, wait until you know you'll get a BFP if you are pg. I am on CD15 today and no O yet, so still at it :D I really thought it happened yesterday, but no rise in temp this morning. It may be wonder if it can take 2-days for your temp to rise? Still praying for you and Dee :pray::pray: I want to hear two BIG BFP's soon girls.

It really sucks being at work!!! It means I usually can't post until I get back from work and the last two days I've only sat down at the computer late at night (apart from sneaking in this morning!) as I've had things on. I miss chatting to you all day....lol

Nae, I am so praying you are pg hun, that would be so wonderful to hear. Like I've said before, the signs are all positive, so really hope this is it for you. Everything is crossed hun, and I'll be waiting breathlessly until the 13th!!!!!!!! (you know it's firday right ?, maybe test the day before???? he he)
Please, please stay safe during the fires, and get out at any signs of trouble. I've seen so much heatache in the last few weeks with the devastation of the fires, I really hope you don't have to go through anything bad. Look after yourself hun!

Teagz, the HPTs are not always reliable when you test too early. I tested a day or two earlier than my scheduled blood test after my transfer, and I'm pretty sure I got a BFN and then one or two days later the blood test came up pos. So wait until it's almost AF time. When is it BTW? I pray it doesn't come hunni :pray:

Diana, hun you're doing so well. It is very hard waiting the 2 weeks, I know. I think my 2 weeks were not so bad, as I prepared myself for a negative result (prob. because I didn't have any symptoms) and you know the rest. So keep hanging in there hun! If you do the test tomorrow or thursday, it might still be an incorrect result and that's why the bood test is 100% accurate. So go with your gut feeling hun, but remember even if you think it's only one line, you might still be UTD when you do the blood test!!!! Praying for you hun, always thinking of you and sending you lots of strength & patience :pray:

Dee, so brave for you to test early, but I so hope it's a big fat positive for you too hun!! Tell me when you're testing as the wait is killing me!!! lol. Sweetie, I hope this is it for you, praying will all my might and strength :pray:

AFM, work was better today. I saw my psych yesterday and she told me I'm waaaaaaay too anxious at work and to think very carefully if I want to be at work in this state of mind when I have my transfer. So let's see if things improve. On a more positive note, I told my DF that if I end up leaving work, I'm going back to uni instead!!! I'be been thinking about it for ages, and the time feels right. I'm considering midwifery, studying psychology or photography.
Which do you think suits girls??? Even with TTC, I can do part time studying and mum is always on hand to give me a hand with bub.
Oh, and my doc app. got cancelled again today, my FS was running waaaay behind after his surgeries so off to see him tomorrow after lunch.

Beata, Glad your work was a little better yesterday. Poor you, no BB! I'm lucky enough to be able to sneak on during work hours.. teehee.
Can't say the same for myself though!! The second week I returned back to work after losing Jayvan we had to have a meeting with the head of HR about the "poor work relationships between some of us and the subsequent effects this may be having". And this morning I come in to see an email about a concillour coming in to talk to us now!!! Honestly!! This whole fiasco has been going on for about 3 years, and they are never going to fire the person causing all the drama's so I don't know why they are bothering. It's such a waste of time! All I want to do is go to work, get paid, then go home. I don't really care who b*tches to who about what and when, I have a slippery back ;)
As for the uni course, if I were you I'd do photography... then you can take all pretty photos of your little bubby growing up ^^; But I'm a little bias, I've always wanted to get right into photography!

Oh, and AF is due on the 8th of March - she's soooo going to come, I know it.

Berry, yeah I shouldn't have tested at all! Ugh. I'm so impatient though, I just wish we had a glass ball we could look into sometimes to let us know what's giong on! But I guess that would take the fun out of life a bit.

hi ladies, i'm soooo excited:dance: well i don't know if that's the right word mybe relieved is better. we just came back form the hospital to hear about what they found happened with our little boy. i have been sad and nerbous the whole week and had a good few cries yesterda and this morning. and worse i feel like i can't just ring people and start talking about it and i got an email from a girl i worked with asking how the pregnancy is going:redface: i haven't been able to respond.but i'll get to it i guess. anyhoo i was so nervous and teary at the waiting room just dredding it. waht if they said it was something i did? what if they don't know? what if i can't have babies? all sorts. but they said with the swab they took from me after the delivery they found some bacteria.ureaplasma he called it which caused chorioamnionitis. basically an infection in the uterus caused by bugs that live in the vagina normally and sometimes but very rarely get out of hand. i was embarrassed but i had to ask and they said it's not a cleanliness thing and unlikely to happen again and i should have a normal pregnancy next time. just bad luck. but i'm sooo glad we can be normal again although i have to go to the hospital's high risk clinic and monitored closely, but it's nothing physical and we can try again when ever we want. we had a fight so i think we missed this month lol.

Hi everyone just quickly ducking in to say to Mummy2be, that I had this infection too, although they couldn't culture mine to know what exactly caused the chorio. My story got a little more complicated though because they couldn't give me a definitive answer whether it was the infection that caused the labour to start or if I had Incompetent cervix which let the infection in! When I presented to the hospital I was 4cm already without having any real labour, so I had a stitch placed this pregnancy as a precaution. You are right the chances of it happening again are very remote (although we would prefer it to be never) and you will get to have your little bub, glad they will watch you closely.

i had never heard of this before but an answer was great. yeah we wish it would never happen. they said i will not get a stitch because my cervix looks fine and i had labour pains for a while which makes them think it's not the cervix. nonetheless i will have a swab between 12 and 16 weeks to check if the infection doesn't come back etc. i will probabbly have them check twice just to be n the safe side. also i asked that my cervix be checked as well at 12 weeks just to check on how it's progressing and maybe at 14 and 16 weeks etc. imagine that all you need is antibiotics! that sounds crazy that you can lose a baby when it can be sorted out easily like that.my bbs are sore! hmmm i thought we bded like four and three days before !

I am glad that you have got some answers as to what happened. I can imagine how stressful it was for you leading up to that appointment. It's awful that these 'rare' events happen, but it sounds like it is highly unlikely to happen to you again and they will obviously monitor you, so that is great news. Exciting that you can start ttc again with peace of mind. Happy for you :D

Mummy2be, I'm so glad you've got an answer from the doc. I have read of bacteria getting into the uterus which can cause miscarriage, although it's pretty rare. Good luck with your TTC and I pray that you get your BFP soon :pray:

Teagz, sounds like your work is not much better than mine!!! We have this really nosey and rude woman in accounts and she's been with us for 6 months. Well, she came in and started running the whole place!!!! She's just an accounts payable person, and she started telling our sales reps what they could and couldn't spend the company's money on, changed some people's chairs around as the 'decor' was all wrong, and basically bossed everyone at work. Well, you don't boss a bull (that be me...). I told her to shove her bossing ways up her bum one day and she doesn't talk to me now (THANK GOD). When I told her that I was having my op, she told me not to get my hopes up. The BIATCH!!!!!!!!!!

AFM, I went to see my FS today and he told me to go for an U/S end of April early May. Because I have to go between CD5 and CD9, I made the app. on 8 May. I then go and see him again on 19 May to discuss the transfer. I think I will have my transfer in early June...can't wait!!!! He also told me that the frozen blastie is more advanced than what little Josh was as it was frozen a day later, so this one is a really good one. Guess what number embryo Joshua was????? Number 9. That's my birthday and my lucky number. Can you believe it? It gave me goose bumps......

Nae - good luck for this month. If its a BFP then I say its got something to do with the moon this month... what do you think? It just feels like a special month. End of Summer, darker nights, time for soup that kind of think ;) I love the transition of seasons...

Teags - That sux about the BFN - how can those things get it so wrong! I did 4 tests to make sure I was really positive - and even still I won't believe it till I actually miss my period. I had heard of checmical pregnancies so I won't jump for joy till Sunday. Have to stay grounded he he.

Diana - I don't know if you caved in yet with the early testing. Don' t be too hard on yourself if you have and if you haven't, well done! Bottom line is, if you test early and its neg, its not accurate yet so don't waste your hearts precious hopes... (says a girl who tested 7 days early!) Its killing me - its making it take so long to get to the day my AF was due! Ohh what if it still comes :doh:

Next step after that is to make it to the first appt, then to 12 weeks, then the stitch at 14 weeks, then 20 weeks, and then 26 weeks. Then I will accept this pregnancy LOL

AFM - I feel weird. I have noticed I am getting light headed a bit more and generally feeling blah. Sometimes I feel like I am going to throw up other times I feel fine. Only my right boob is sore and I have been paying attention to my areola and nothings changed. Not peeing any more than usual either so I have no idea.

Jose, :hug: It will be nice to make those mile stones! I read someone say in another thread to just love your baby in the moment your in, because they'll be able to feel it, and *try* not to worry about what might happen. Easier said than done but, hey, in theory it sounds good! It will be such a good feeling reaching those milestones though. I hope you have a very uneventful pg!

Beata, I HATE MY JOB! I'm not even going to get into what happened yesterday!! I was so angry. As for BFP signs, I feel like complete crap, I'm tired as hell yet I can't get a proper night sleep because I have a million things going around in my head at the moment and my boobies hurt, but I keep getting really sharp twinges in my abdomen so I don't know what's going on in there. Pretty sure AF is going to grace me with her company though, damn her! Your co-worker sounds like Queen Biatch to me as well, no matter how much I can't stand some people I wouldnt say that sort of thing to them.
Oh I didn't see the part about your transfer! How exciting. It must feel nice having a plan now. And good news about that little embie. He sounds like a strong sticky one! ;)

Noni, I 'm glad they were able to give you some answers as to why you lost your little angel, and it sounds like that they will be proactive in making sure it doesn't happen again which is good. And if it does happen again (god forbid!) Its great that it can be treated so easily! And fight, smight! Nothing better than making sex! :lol:

ETA, NaeNae... I'm just counting down the 3 days til AF is due for now.. Then I'll work on those following 5 days haha! God, I hate waiting! I have had a few light headed moments as well. And, I don't know if you ever had them before but when I was pg with Jayvan I'd get a lot of heart flutters, like my heart was skipping a few beats, then it would pound really hard for a couple of seconds and was back to normal (perhaps I might mention that to my DR when I see him next...) which I had over the weekend but nothing since.
I really want to say that I'm certain something is going on in there, but I just don't want to sound dumb when AF comes!

Nae I haven't had any extra pain from having the stitch placed, wouldn't even know it was there, except once when I felt the ends scratch inside and panicked, took off up to the hospital and all was good. They apparently leave the ends long so it is easier to grab and snip! I haven't been allowed to lift more than 4kg and no sex, strenuous exercise etc. Hard not to lift when you have a 2yr old, and well the sex thing is now starting to bug me! But honestly all has been good, have scans every month to check length which has been very stable. My biggest pain is I have developed again pubic bone pain, but this time I get it in my pelvis joint at the back as well as the front, grrr!!! But whatever it takes to get this one further down the line. I had the option to not have the stitch, but be closely monitored instead but in the end I felt better just getting it done.

Thanks so much Helen, yeah I know that I'll be given a choice but I will opt to have it put in, at least then I know that everything was tried if we have problems again ;) I'd also rather have it sooer rather than later too knowing th complications that can arise with sack rupter etc.

Nothing new to report here - I see my ob again tomorrow but not expecting any bad news. I am starting to actually enjoy my pg now that I can live my life a little more normally. Hmm, maybe my ob might give me the all clear for some bedroom action soon! (I hear you Helen!) :redface::D

Beata, some people are amazing aren't they, I really don't know how people even have the energy to be so bossy & nasty, isn't life challenging enough - lol.

AFM, O hasn't showed up on FF, but due to being sick my temps are all over the place. I have been using Maybe Baby as well, which shows that I have already O'ed, which feels right to be as well, so its just sit back and wait now. Someone told me that when your sick your body creates more white blood cells that attack the virus and any other 'foreign matter', and can attack the sperm, fantastic! that's all I need, my body waging war against me. Does anyone know anything about that? Also, any insight into weather I could have O'ed even though my temps haven't remained high, due to sickness? Thanks girls.

BTW, I didn't have many 'pg' symptoms even after my pos. blood test. Boobies were tended later on....

Megan, I'm not sure about the sickness thing when you're TTC. It makes sense about the white blood cells attacking the virus (and the foreign bodies such as a fetus), but then again, one of my close friends was very sick with a cold when she conceived and she had a healthy boy. She was taking antibiotics for her virus, and taking the pill at the same time. Well, the antibiotics cancelled the pill out (the pill just didn't work!!) and she got pg. So keep doing what you doing hun, and big sticky vibes to you lovely!!!

I don't know about you but I used to find it easier when I got my AF because then I would know I was only ten days away from getting back in the game ;).

Beata - thanks for the reassurance. Its the day before the AF is due and I know that four positive HPTs have to stand for something. I think we start to believe it will never happen for us and that is why it is so hard to believe it when it does. But Im going to take the advice from Teags I think, going to cherish the moments now. And what every will be, will be.

Nae, I hope to hear some positive news from you this month. If not, make the most of this lovely tracky weather - hot milos and marshmallows YUMMMMMMMM.

AFM - I am starting to become a little anxious about the prospect of being bed ridden. I know people say that it might not be the case, but I just could never take the risk. I'm a Personal Trainer (but I do not look like one at the moment - big bum betty's my name) lol , but I am the kind of person who always has to do something!! Rahhh - how will I cope. Ahh well, I reckon I would sleep outside every day if it meant that I would have a healthy happy baby at the end. So, lots of tv and movies for me soon.

Meh, Nup. Hate AF, I just get this sinking feeling of having to start all over again. I had such a tanty this morning over it all :redface: I should be thirty weeks pregnant today, I shouldn't be trying to have anther baby because I should be 10 weeks away from holding the one I already had. It's so not fair that so many deserving people have to go through this.
I hope you won't need to resort to bed rest for your pregnancy, but if you do you'll have to get a lappy or something and we'll all keep you entertained ;)

Berry, I think it was you who said something about the cranberry tabs?? I'm pretty sure i'm going to know the answer to this already but are they ok to take while your pregnant? I bought some the other day, plus been taking fast-tract since Tuesday and I cannot believe the difference so far. Hopefully the battle of thrush is over. *fingers crossed*

Beata, :hug: How's work going, hun? I hope your not letting them push you around! I managed to weezle my way out of that councellers meeting next week, not without a fight though. My boss said I should talk to her anyway about Jayvan, but I just don't find it helpful talking to someone who doesn't know what it actually feels like and tries to console you with all the text book answers. Perhaps I'll feel better about it next week, I'm in a bit of a funk today.

I just want to say a huge thanks to you girls, I always feel better when I have my whine and the preg mumma's always give me some hope that it will happen one day when it's meant to. You're all so amazing and I always feel sad when I think of some of the things you've all had to deal with but I admire how strong you all are.

Results are in........................BFP ! No celebrating just yet though.

Clinic said my prog level (30) and HCG level (forgot to ask what it is :doh:) is average so a repeat bt on Monday to see if levels are rising. I'm not celebrating until after that but I'm absolutely floored. I honestly expected a negative result today as I have been spotting since Wednesday and was so convinced I wasn't pregnant that have been crying like a monster since I saw my first speck of blood. RISE LEVELS RISE ! :pray::pray:

Will catch up on personals soon I promise, my hands are just shaking so bad I can't type atm!
