Lynn, if you are having fsh injections you will be having u/sounds regularly to check on follie growth and size. Generally you will start on a low dose and then they will start to u/s you and blood tests. If your follicular growth and number are optimal they will continue with the doseage until ovulation or increase/decrease as needed. You can have u/s done in a general u/s practice but often centres will have 'sister' centres in other states. I would check it out with your FS - he may prefer to monitor the cycle himself - in which case maybe you could delay beginning your period so you can synchronize?

Hey all
Normally I know when i am ovulating (get pains etc.) but none of those this month!
Because of DH's diabeties the DR has said to try for 6 months and then come see him for tests and stuff, hopefully a BFP will arrive before then!
Oh, i normally use an OPK, but haven't got around to getting some more yet.
-
Hi gals,
I just have a quick question for the serial testers....I gave in and did a HPT just this afternoon even though I know I'm about 6 days too early. Now, there is a faint line. When I say faint, I mean VERY faint, so I am not going to get excited yet, but is is there. But what I want to ask is could this mean there is a chance for me?? Can the test's show a faint line and still be negative, or will I just need to try again in a few days to be sure?? The instructions say that any line no matter how faint is a positive, but this is so faint I just can't trust it. I am trying not to get excited as I had pretty much given up....
Thanks guys...fingers crossed!
-
OH that's exciting Bailey!!!!! :happyforyou:
Okay, a line is a line as long as the line came up in the time frame specified and it has colour. A line without colour or a greyish colour could be an "evaporation line". Basically a line that shows where the test would be if it were positive. I know that some women on BB are getting feint lines with Fortel and they are incorrect. I had a really bad experience a while back with Discover Onestep - having said that I have used it since then (because it's the only brand our one and only chemist stocks!)and it has been very accurate so the problem I think has been fixed. You get a good line very early in pregnancy. I got an unmistakeable bfp 8dpo with my October Angel.
So, I guess you can do a couple of things. Buy another test. Wait until tomorrow with fmu and see if that line gets darker.
I am so excited! I so very much hope that the Easter Bunny has come early!!!!!
-
Thanks Deb,
The test I used is actually Foretell, and I read that they can be wrong, so I am not going to get excited yet. But is definetly came up in the test time and is very faint, but it is coloured and not grey. I know that it is abit early, so I am not going to believe it just yet. I might go and get the discover onestep tomorrow and TRY hard to wait it out for another couple of days and try again. I just don't want to jump the gun. What a nice surprise it would be, as I said, I had already convinced myself it wasn;t to be this month. Fingers crossed!! Thanks again.
-
Oh,,meant to ask....If I keep the test can it get darker tomorrow? Is that what you suggest??
-
Bailey even though it's tempting you shouldn't compare sticks. The dye will be slightly different in each strip - chuckit so you don't do your head in - she says this from vast amounts of personal experience! ;)
If you get a Discover onestep I think you could safely do it with fmu tomorrow. This particular test measures 10miu which is very low and that is why it can be done early on. Having said all of this - a negative at this stage could mean that it's just a little early. It is frustrating isn't it? I have EVERYTHING crossed for that :bfp:.
From a purely selfish point of view I hope you test tomorrow - so I can know before I go away!!!!
-
:happyforyou: :happyforyou: :happyforyou: :happyforyou:
Oh Bailey I think you are UTD!!!! A line is a line!!! How exciting!!!!! Do another test first thing tomorrow morning and let us know how you go but I would say that it is positive!
-
Deb - too late! I have already started to take the pill to bring on AF. We go away on 20 April, so I think will be ok as long as I have a long cycle, which I normally do. I guess it is just a waiting game to see when the witch arrives. Aghhhhhh why is everything so complicated. I knew I shouldn't have booked the holiday!!!!!:wall:
-
OMG OMG OMG BAILEY, a line is a line honey. :confetti: :happyforyou: :confetti:
I don't want to get your hopes up and I agree with everything the very wise Flowerchild said, but the first line I got about 3 days before AF was due you needed a spotlight, microscope and a bit of imagination to see so I hope more than anything that you get a darker line tomorrow.
I kept my tests to compare them, I know it isn't a good idea but I found that it was reassuring seeing how they darkened. Flowerchild is probably right though, it isn't reliable doing it that way.
If you are UTD I reckon your bubs nickname should to be Barrrrrrrrley Sugar. Nice and sweet and sticky.
Ooooh I can't wait until you test again. I don't know what time you get up but I'll get online before work, about 6.45am to see if there are any updates.
Ooooh I am doing the Happy
Be back to do personals for all you other wonderful ladies after I feed the dogs and get out of the god damn work clothes.

Hey everyone,
Thanks so much. I want to get excited too, but it is sooo faint. I thought I was imagining it, then I started to think evap lines, but it definetly came up in the right amount of time. But as I have said, sooooooo faint. You guys are the first to know, as DH is in the middle of the ocean somewhere and I probably won't get to speak to him til sunday morning. I read in another thread that if you can hold it an arms length and still see it it's the real deal, and I can, but only in good light. i will test again in the morning with the morning wee as apparently that is the best, but I am just not convinced yet. I had talked myself out of it because I was so disapointed last month, so I am just hoping it gets abit darker in the morning. Fingers crossed!! Thanks guys.
-
Bailey, imagine this, me sitting on the bathroom floor with the light off and a torch behind the test. That's how I saw my first line so if you can see yours at an arms length it is way stronger than my first line (lol)
-
Lol spring, that's me too. I just can't believe it so I have to wait. I reckon I would have to be 6 months preggers and busting outta my clothes before I can convince myself.
Hey, I just read the replies in the names thread and someone wrote in a couple of Danish names that mean little brother/sister. My mum is danish and they are big on naming the kids things like that, so I got her to check some out in some books to see if we can find something similar, but I love Naja for a girl, it's so pretty. Mum said it would be pronounced more like Ny-ah. C'mon, when are you gonna buckle and tell us if it's a pink or blue one??
-
Bailey, it has only been a day and I am finding it hard to keep my gob shut about whether Lil' Spring is a pink or a blue flavour but the only reason I wanted to find out is to prepare myself emotionally. I want it to still be a surprise for the world at large.
I really like Nyah as well but DH isn't keen. I like Brodie/Brody for a boy and once again DH isn't too keen but I just told him that I had the right of veto, he doesn't seem to believe me (lol)
I know it is hard to believe that you might be UTD but I think that my baby will be 18 before I believe it. I have everything crossed :crossfingers: for tomorrow.
Mel: Babe, I know tomorrow is 7 months for you, Friday is 6 months for me. I hope that you are ok honey, take care.
Lynn: How are you today honey? You know how you were saying that you like to help people, well you have been such a wonderful friend to me over the last few months, I am so lucky to have met someone like you, it is just a shame that it took such a tragedy for our paths to cross.
Klee: There are good and bad days isn't there? It is amazing that no matter who we are, the cycles of grief seem to be the same. It is a rolercoaster but we are all on the ride to so hopefully we get a chance to slow down and get off soon enough. You get the bravery award for the week for going to a christening. That is an amazing feat, you should be really proud of yourself. I had a really emotional day yesterday after finding out if Spring was a girl or a boy, it just hit home that I already have a son and this is my second child, but my arms are empty, I am sure you know what I mean.
Flowerchild: Ohh not long now until your holiday, how exicting. I hope you managed to get the packing done without too many fashion dramas (lol) I hope that you get to spend some time with your friend and her twins, you kids are just the cutest, cards and pictures that is so sweet. I hope that the wicked Clomid monster doesn't come to visit, but you are just so darn nice to start with so I don't think that anyone will notice anyway :)
Chelle, JLK, Dream and all you other amazing ladies, I hope you are well.
Big love
Spring
-
Mel, thinking of you and your little Nicholas tomorrow.
-
Bailey, time to upate your signature me thinks. DP... How 'bout DH... you're living in the past man...
-
Hi girls
Just a really quick one, I have DD hanging off my leg screaming, refusing to go to bed. Wanted to let you all know we had our "nutcase" scan today and all very good. Splodge behaved himself nicely and showed us all his bits. Yep - in case you haven't gathered we are cooking a little boy!
Back later to catch up on everyone
-
Oh Clare contratulations on your awesome scan and congratulations on cooking a baby boy :babyboy:. I am so relieved for you. What wonderful news.
Hope you get DD to bed without too much fuss.
Luv Spring
BTW love the new ticker.
-
Thanks for the reminder Spring, but I may as well leave t there for a little but longer and change it all together. It's my birthday on monday so I'll need to change the age  and hopefully I can ditch the TTC ticker and add a pg one soon.
-
Hey Girls,
Sorry I havent been around much this week, as you all know DH has been working and I have been looking after the 3 kids. We have had a ball, and they have all been really well behaved... but time consuming nonetheless. But, I dropped them off at MILs this afternoon and they are not back with us until Friday afternoon - I cant believe I am actually going to say this but I think I will actually miss them, especially the 2 year old cause she has been really clingy with me this week and it was kinda nice I have to say. Anyway...
Bailey - As I said to Spring all those weeks ago, a line is a line and I think you are UTD :happyforyou: Poor DH not knowing the good news... talk about the PERFECT wedding gift!
Spring - My early prediction is :stork-boy: About names, I think it is a beautiful idea to honour Harrison when naming lil Spring... but I was wondering if you knew that Thomas means "twin"? A couple of girls ones I have comes across Kaya means "elder sister" and Nea means "twinflower " - I think either Kaya Mary ..... or Nea Mary ..... sounds beautiful (I especially like Kaya, its different without being weird). Anyway, I am sure some others will have heaps better suggestions than that... Wow if I ever get my BFP I am gonna be so boring, will be telling the sex asap and already know our names LOL.
Lynn - I am so glad the FS was able to give you a plan, I really hope this works for you. April will be our month. Hope you are well.
Deb - If we dont hear from you beforehand I hope you have a wonderful holiday, relax and get jiggy with it so you can come back with an announcement!
Clare - Congrats on a boy, such a cute ticker.
Hi to everyone else.
Well I have been asked to work tomorrow and seeing as the kids are not here anyway I am not going to be a lazy a*** and go in, plus as Bailey and Spring noticed tomorrow is Nicholas' 7 month anniversary so it is probably not the best idea to sit around the house all day, and then tomorrow night we are going to dinner with my sis and BIL and then seeing a comedian afterwards.
Spring I will be thinking of you on Friday, ask lil Spring to give you a big  from me.
Have a great day tomorrow.
Love Mel
-
Clare - congrats on the scan being all good! And a little boy - that is exciting! You will get to meet him very very soon. Have you got any names yet?
Bailey - I am just so excited for you, I hope you come on tomorrow morning and announce your :bfp: When do you go away?
Spring - come on, you can't keep it a secret forever!!!! No seriously I understand that you want to keep it between you and DH but if you really feel like you need to tell someone else................I'm all ears! I'm ok today. That is such a nice thing to say, thank you. I feel so lucky to have met someone like you too and that you have allowed me to support you and lil Spring. But yes I agree, I wish we could have met under different circumstances. btw I love the name Brody/Brodie.
Mel - how are you going? How is DH? I hope the kids have been good to you. Are you still working tomorrow?
Nat - how did everything go today with your dad. I hope everything is ok. Thinking of you guys :hugs:
Hi to everyone else, hope you are all well.
-
-
Sorry wanted to add...
Klee - Just wanted to say I am sorry you experienced those "uncomfortable" people. It may have not been the best place to bring it up, but it doesnt make it any easier on you does it? I still get that after all this time, I have come to the conclusion that people are always gonna be that way. One thing you can be guaranteed is that we are all here anytime you need someone to openly talk to you about your bubba
-
Hi again all,
Klee - It is so hard when you have friends not saying anything to you about your baby. This used to bother me, but I don't let it anymore. I really just think that it is not because they don't care, it really is just beacause they don't know what to say or they think that it will upset you to say anything - yeah, like it could be any worse. I came to this conclusion at a close friends wedding in Feb. I saw a lot of friends that I had not seen since I lost my daughter and none of them said anything, but I know they were thinking of me. But then a lady I have never met (though our husbands know eachother a little) came up to me and said " I am so sorry to hear you had a stillborn baby" I was really taken aback by that as I'd just met her. She then went on to say that her friend had had a stillborn baby last year. It just hit me that as she had known someone who this had happened to, she understood that silence and pretending it didn't happen was not the way to go. She knew it would mean something to me to acknowledge it. So I really just try not to let it upset me if people don't say anything, it doesn't mean they are not thinking about you and your loss. I hope you are feeling a little better.
Deb - I was serious by the way, I really do wanna come and live at your place :) Thanks for your advice before. I think that you and Nat could open up a clinic!
Nat - No worries on the Europe trip, happy to help you out. Get my email from Lynn or Mel and I can send you on my work email.
Spring - I really like Mel's suggestions on names. Kaya is really nice for a pinky and Brody is cute for a willie-one. I think they both go pretty well with your last name too. I think Cindy Crawfords daughter's name is Kaya but spelt Kaia. It's really pretty. Oh and by the way, tell DH that you are the boss of names, as far as I am concerned if you have to birth bub's you should be entitled to name them :D Now that you know the sex are you happy, cos I know there are pro's and con's with each sex, but are you ok about it?
Clare - Congrats on your great ultrasound. I hope you are feeling a little more relaxed.
Mel - Have you got DH on his vitamins yet? It is 5 months for me tomorrow too, so I am so glad that I am at work so I don't have too much time to sit around and worry about things. Hopefully they are up there hanging out together and thinking about us too huh?
Lynn - I don't think Spring is gonna spill the beans, so it is up to you at the next scan to try and get a peek between lil Springs legs and find out :D I get the feeling it's pink, but I am pretty bad with predicting other's, though I was right with both of mine.
Chelle - Good to hear from you again and thans for the positive vibes.
Well as you are probably all aware by now, I have had an alleged line on a HPK, though I am not letting myself get too excited till I see it properly, so I am going to get up nice and early and wee on that stick first thing and see if I can get a darker line, but I will get on right away and let you all know the outcome. I hope it is a positive, I hope we all get them soon, but I want to say thank you all so much for all of your support over the last few months and today.
-
Hey Bailey - I am so sorry, how rude am I? I meant to say thank you for the article, I received it today. It was really good, I would love to get involved in helping out some sort of organisation in Melbourne but I dont really know how. If anyone knows feel free to tell me. Sorry again for being rude, I got so excited about your upcoming :bfp: that I forgot all about it!
-
I think Asha and Nicholas are up there hanging out together, along with Harrison and Cooper... they are all looking out for each other, along with all of the angels of these beautiful Mummy's. I hope they are watching over us  I really do believe you will get that BFP tomorrow Bailey, consider it a wedding gift from Asha to her Mummy and Daddy and big bro. I am working but will try to check in on my break to read your good news. to you for tomorrow and also a bit of :goodluck: thrown in as well.
-
Mel: Thinking of you and your darling little boy Nichols today hun. Big love and even Bigger :hugs: coming your way.
Bailey: Well I have been up since 5.30am, and you still aren't online. I couldn't sleep, pee on that stick girl and put me out of my misery.
Well I like Kaya also but as it means 'elder sister' I wanted something to mean 'little sister. Also, I am with you Lynn, I love Brodie/Brody which means brother. Someone in another thread mentioned Amity for a girl. I love it but I can't remember what it means (lol) but it was a nice meaning. Amity Mary or Brodie Michael are the front runners at the moment. Mary is my Mum's name and Michael is DH's Dad's name.
Be back after a shower,
Lv Spring

Ha ha, it's too early to be outta bed spring.
Well, I wee'd and the line is still there....just. I think if I hadn't of seen a line yesterday, I would not have even looked close enough at thisone to see it, it's just so faint. I know I am not meant to compare the tests, but todays actually seems more faint than the one I did yesterday afternoon. So, I am still not convinced as the ones I have been using are the Fortel Ultra, which I have read about in the HPT thread as sometimes giving false neg's and pos's. So, I will get some more tests today and try to wait til tommorrow to try again. Thanks everyone, but I am not certain yet, and I am still a couple of days early. If I sneak one in at work, i will try to get on and let ya'll know.
-
Bailey, I know it can get confusing but a line is a line. I may just be faint due to the concentration of your urine, flow of urine etc.
I would get anther brand and try at work. As long as you don't drink too much fluid your pee should still be fairly concentrated.
I can't pop in during work hours, but I will be back as soon as I get home from work.
I've got a good feeling about this babe :)
Have a good day at work
Spring

Bailey Bailey Bailey - congrats - it all sounds positive and very exciting. I had the same with one of my pregnancies (very faint) and it was positive...try again today and let us know....can't wait ! What a nice suprise that would be for DH and for today, your 5 month anniversary (from memory - hope i am right). Hope you are doing fine on this side of things. Log on will you and tell us now ! Wake up, do a wee and bloody test will you!:happyforyou:
Sorry been out of action -had loads to do (well, shopping actually for myself). AF still hasn't come (day 34 today) - will test on the weekend and if BFN then will call OB to ask WTF is going on. Have been feeling a little sick and loads of ab pains too (but just like i am getting AF) so something is happening just don't know what.
Lynn - Hope you are doing ok - chin up and your body will go back to normal soon - it has to ! Also - just scanned through one of your posts about abbreviations....didn't know this was here - will help me too !
Spring - looks like your little "pink" spring (c'mon girls i think we can stir enough for Spring to spill the beans) will have a BB cousin shortly too (Bailey) ! Glad to hear everything is going well.
Flowerchild - you are such a wealth of knowledge - your messages are quite inspiring. Were you baking hot cross buns (sorry - just scanned through the millions of posts you have all been sending)....if so, can you send a dozen my way - yummo !
Hello to everyone else - hope you are all well and are finding today a better day.
