Oooh whaoo Jenc its seems to be going really quick for you now and yes it does make sence. We are always talking about keeping them in as long as we can and now you have a time line it all seems so real.
Quick question what are the complication of twins having growth restriction I only ask because they seem to think that is what I have to. I have done alot of research on TTTS but they say the twins don't have that.
I think thats great having the baby shower in the hospital it will make the time go quicker and give you something to do, do you have your own room. When is it mght popin for a cupper
Another question have you been getting a lot of braxton hicks some low kick I mean really low like their foot is going to pop out
I came across a website that look for rentals and it looks like a good idea not sure how much but I will look in to it. I also got in touch with a my realestate agent and she said it wont be a problem to extend for a couple of weeks if we need it so that has taken alot of pressure off my poor DH and she may have a house we can look at soon its a 4 bedroom with a big back and front yard, she said we can just transfer everything over if we like it.
AFM Had my glucose test today I was soooo hungry when it was over I had to fast for 12 hours and the test took 2 hours then my breakie came 45 min after that don't they know I have 2 babies im tryig to fatten up.
:hello: Bella I love these smiley faces

Look after yourselves and those little buddles

Jen that sounds like a plan!!!! I'm glad you finally can see the light at the end - ooooohhhh i can't wait till i can meet my 2 boys! Having a baby shower in the hospital sounds like a fab idea - am i invited to :lol::lol:
Azz the house sounds great hope it's as good as it sounds! GL with your GT test results.
AFM - today i am organising all of DH clothes etc to take away - did i mention he is off to Thailand for 2 whole weeks leaving Friday :cry::cry: I am going to miss him so much and am just  hard that all is good with our checkup on Friday morning before he leaves as he is so worried about leaving me so it would be nice to send him with a little peace of mind! I'm off to share my time between mums and a girlfriends place who both promise to look after me!!! My sister is taking me for mannicure/facial/pedicure on Sat which will be so nice.
Take care girls.

Hi ladies, i've been reading thru your posts and i wish each and everyone of you all the very best for your pregnancies. I hope it all works out well and there are lots of happy healthy lil bubba's born :)
I am new to this myself, and just thought i would say hi.
My husband and i just underwent a round of ICSI, and concieved on the first attempt. They only transfered one embryo, but it decided to split resulting in a twin pregnancy. We were both very shocked to find this out on our 7.5week scan.
Both babies measured within normal range and had good h/b at 160 and 169.
I am now just under 11 weeks preg and have my first hospital appointment this coming friday.
We are very anxious to have our next scan in two weeks because about a week or so ago i had some very bad cramping and when i went to the bathroom there was pink discharge, and also a bit of brown the second time i went.i was told this could be due to vanishing twin syndrome? So it's a waiting game for us atm.
-
Hi Bella I hope your scan goes well on friday before your hubby goes to Thailand oooh think of the cool pressies I hope those 2 weeks go quick for you both. What a great Idea having a girls day out with our sister I wish they offered that in hospital I could do with a girls day. I need a good eyebrow wax.
Springvalley :welcome: Yah another twin mummy congraulations:clap:. I to had brown discharge that lasted 2 days I think I was 5 weeks and had no idea I was carrying twins. The nurses had told me if it was brown its just old blood. Try not to worry I know its easier said then done. The first 12 weeks is a big waiting game but your are nearly there please keep us posted about your scan. Ask as much questons as you like we are here if you need.
-
Hi ladies,
Just a quick update from me.... Scan was great today, it seems twin 2 may be catching up a little - still smaller but only about 10%, good fluid levels and bp was down so very happy. 2weeks repeat scan and ob appt + some blood and urine tests.
Hope you are all well and all the bubs are behaving themselves!!!!
Rest up and i will check in later or in the morning.
xxBella
-
this silly wireless connection in hospy is driving me mental! I wrote a post yesterday and didn't even realise it didn't work until I just visited here now!
Glad your scan went well Bella. All sounding very good!
Welcome Springvalley!! Good luck with your scan, and please let us know how you go. I remember worrying myself sick about 'vanishing twin' syndrome, so I know how you're feeling. I wish you all the very best :)
AFM, well had a reassuring doppler ultrasound - blood flow through the cords is good, so that hopefully means the placentas are all aok. And, get this - the amniotic fluid for twin 1 had replenished itself!!!!! Amazing. And such a relief.
So I will keep having regular doppler and growth scans to check that this positive development is a trend. Then I might be out of the woods!!
I stopped taking nifedipine last night because it was making me really itchy. But unfortunately my contractions came back with a vengeance. Stupid irritable uterus. So I'm back on. They said it's safest, especially with so many things going on at once.
Have also had a blood test for obstretric choleostasis (??) which is apparently characterised my itchy palms and soles of feet. But i'm sure (I hope!) it's not that, and is just a side effect of the drugs.
anyhow, will keep you all posted. have a lovely weekend everyone!!!

-
Thats great Bella your scan went well before your DH went to thailand. I hope your day out with your sister was fun.
Jenc whaooo replenished fluid that fantastic I was thinking maybe you could go home until read the uterus thing. The bedrest thing might be helping.
AFM I am doing well and so are the boys not much to report. oooh The 4 bedroom house I was telling you about was not nice so we will keep house hunting for now and see how we go.
-
Good morning ladies
Azz - poo about the house! I am hoping you find something just perfect really soon.
I just got a text from my friend who is also having twins - she is 3 days ahead of me and our c-sections are scheduled for the same day. Well, she just had her little girls!!!!!!!!! At just on 33 weeks. She was up here visiting me on Thurs after work. She wasn't due to finish work until this Friday. I have no idea of the circumstances surrounding the birth of her little ones, but i will post when I get the chance to speak with her. Her babies are perfect and good sizes.
Just thought you might like to hear some good news :)
Jenxx
-
Jen - that's fantastic news - it must reassure you a little! How are you travelling any further developments or plans?
Azz - shame about the house but i'm sure the perfect one is just around the corner - excuse the pun! How are you travelling - hope your cervix is behaving!!
Hi to everyone else.
AFM - just staying at mums ATM. Going out for lunch with a girlfriend today. Boys are kicking up a storm. I'm missing my DH so much - he is having fun - lucky him! No real news.
Stay safe girls.......

Hey girls,
I popped in here a few times back in June and met everyone, and then things got so busy with work and extreme tiredness!! I've been trying to find time to pop back in and get an update on how everyone is. Today I've sat down and caught up on the past few months of this thread. Some difficult times for you guys, Azz and Jen especially, but so great that the babies are all still in and growing!
As for me, I'm 35 weeks today! I'm off work and have had a couple of weeks to get myself organised and a bit settled, so I'm going to force myself to take it all a bit more easy from here on. Before I know it I'll have my little girls!! My OB reckons I'll make it to 38 weeks and wants to induce then - on the 21st - if I do. 38 weeks seemed like such an impossible goal a few months ago but now it's really looking possible!
I've been really lucky over the past few months. No major scares - some little ones but they always seems to resolve themselves by the next week. Growth discordance of about 30% seems to be a stayer for me, but both girls are growing on their own path and I have fortnightly scans which ease my mind.
I've joined the multiple birth association and me and hubby went to a function of the local branch on Sat night - that was really nice, to meet other twin mums and especially hear the stories of people with different age twins. I've also joined the ABA and am trying to go to a few meetings before the girls come so that I can meet some people who will be able to provide support with breastfeeding.
Anyway, apologies for the essay. I'll try to pop in more often over the next few weeks now that I'm not working.
xx

Hi Argon
Good to hear from you!
I have a question about the growth discordance: what has your ob said about it? Are they regularly checking your cord flow? I am having the same thing at the moment and my ob seems to be saying to me that if my little one keeps up this slow rate of growth that he'll have to deliver them at 34 wks.
Is your little one still growing at a steady rate, but just smaller than the big one? I think with my little one, he has always been smaller, but now his growth has tailed off and he is at the 5th percentile or so.
I am a bit stressed about it, because I'm not sure I entirely understand what's going on :)
Hello to all you other lovelies
Jenx
-
Hi Jen,
My OB has me on fortnightly scans and she seems to pay the most attention to the percentiles, and how much weight each has put on since the last scan. She doesn't seem to pay too much attention to the cord flow, or to the percentage difference between the two.
We've been lucky in that my little one has never fallen below the 10th percentile, although she has hovered around there for months. Also, the growth has been consistent, just slower than the other twin.
My OB has said that if she went down to the 5th percentile, or if her growth slows way down, then she'd want to think about delivering, especially since they are now both big enough to survive.
Sounds like your OB is taking a similar approach. Hopefully it won't come to that, but if he does recommend delivery at 34 weeks, your little boys will be pretty well cooked and I'm sure it would be for the best.
Sending lots of positive vibes your way!!

Hi all
Quick update from me. I had another doppler scan today to check the umbilical cord flow. Tw 1 has reduced amniotic fluid again, but cord flow is normal. So they're not too concerned I don't think.
But tw 2's umbilical cord is showing increased resistance, which, as I understand it, means that the blood, oxygen and other nutrients don't reach the baby as effectively as they need to in order to ensure good growth. So the plan is for another full growth and doppler scan on Friday. If he is still growing poorly, and there is increased resistance in the cord, then I'll be having these little ones on Saturday! But if not, then they'll keep me going on daily monitoring until something else changes.
These ups and downs are doing my head in :(
Jenxx
-
PS - thanks Argon for answering my questions. Much appreciated :)
-
Hi lovely ladies,
Jen - my ob speaks also about percentile and said that 10% and below is when it starts to count and there will be concern. My ob also looks as cord flow every scan and said that is another indicator so it seems we are all being watched closely for the same signs just they are wording it all differently. My little one was 20%tile if i remember correctly and the bigger in the 85th percentile but thay said it's not the difference it's concerning if the smaller one starts to taper off or fall below 10% - does that make sense?
Wow delivery Sat possibly........ try to relax and destress as much as you can over the nextf ew days - and remember you have done a wonderful job baking these bubs to where thay are now. Take care and i will be thinking of you and can't wait to hear results on Friday.
Azza - you are making me nervous that you haven't poped in - hope everything is ok with you all.
Hi argon :)
Take care everyone - no updates from me had my haircut today and it feels amazing!!!

Hi Ladies, I did a post yesterday but the reception here is terrible. let see if it works today.
Sunday I got some painful contrations so they had to transfer me to Womans and childrens just in case I was to go into labour they gave me a pill same as Jenc (I can't spell it) to stop the conractions I am on them all the time now. I had to stay in the delivery suit for 2days as the contraction kept coming back but I haven't had any today so hopefully they have stopped fingers crossed. OB does not like my chances in lasting to 30 weeks but I feel alot better today so am really hoping it has stopped. They also did a scan of my cervix yesterday and they said it was 1.45 cm?????? They normally do it internally but they did it a different way not sure if you cervix can stick itself back together? OB is coming in today so will ask her.
Sorry Bella for making you nervous its funny how your twins, Jenc twins and mine have small baby it must be a common thing.
Jenc on my gosh Saturday Im not sure bout you but I just want something to happen either they are goin to come or not I know im not as farlong as you but gee its such an emotional rollacoaster. I have everything crossed for you. Yah you are 33 weeks:dance: you have done great to get this far. Please keep us posted
Hi Argon whaoooo 35 weeks im finding it hard walking around at the moment how about you? and im glad there is some pink in here.
Take care ladies I will try and keep you up to date
-
Argh Azz!!! I thought something must have happened. I hope you're ok. The nifedipine has been keeping my contracs under control, so I hope they do the same for you. Sending you lots of 'keep cooking' vibes!!!
The most accurate way to check cervix length is transvaginally. If this other number came up and it was an external scan then I would think it wouldn't be particularly accurate. That's what my dr said anyhow. I'm not sure if it can lengthen once it's shortened. Sounds pretty impossible!! But then again, this whole twin preg thing is so random that you never know!!
Are you getting any side-effects from the nifedipine? I got headaches, a red rash, and really itchy. So they changed me to the 'slow release' version, and it has made things SO much better.
I spoke to my ob today, and the plan of attack is that assuming Friday's scan doesn't show a dramatic change in the umbilical cord thing which would mean delivery on Friday or Sat, I am booked in for Wednesday next week!!!!!! So my little boys will probably be born on 09/09/09! How funny :)
He explained that when there is resistance in the umbilical cord is it usually because of some fibrous build-up. He said the impact of that is like when you step on a hose. The pressure builds up behind the obstruction, and the water can't flow through as well. So it is very unlikely to 'fix itself' like I was hoping :) He said it only worsens. But it shouldn't be a super dramatic worsening, as in general it is a steady rate and reasonably slow. But once they notice it, it is best to get the babies out as soon as they are ok to come out as they can fatten them up better on the outside if their nutrition source is compromised inside.
So, assuming Friday doesn't show any major drastic changes for the worse, then this time next week I will be a mama!! And the boys will be 34+1 wks. Which is just great. I will feel so proud to have held onto them for that long.
Bella, I'm so jeally of your haircut. I have an appt booked for friday for cut and colour - I thought it would just in time for shower, looking good for new baby photos etc, and now I'm going to have to be skanky mama!!! oh well, I suppose it's just a little thing in the end :)
Hi Argon! Hi everyone else. Hope you're all well.
Jenxx

HI guys,
Just wanted to pop in and say hi. Hope things are going ok for you Azz, and that the drugs are keeping things under control. I think you guys are amazing, keeping so calm when you're stuck in hospital!
Are you still planning to move house? How's that all going? Me and hubby are in a townhouse too, with three levels (and garage underneath so really it's like four!) so lots of stairs!! We didn't anticipate twins when we bought it but we've moved our bedroom down from the top level and are now treating it like a two story place for the most part, just living on the bottom two levels. I'm actually walking ok still which I didn't expect to be this late in the piece and I sometimes wonder whether all the steps I've been forced to climb have helped keep me mobile!
Jen, very exciting, you'll be meeting your boys soon! 9/9/9 is a pretty cool date. I have a friend booked in for a ceasar on the same day. And 34+1 is fab - well done!
Hi Bella! :D
Argon xx
-
Jenc what a cool birth date Im so happy for you, you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Im on the slow release nifedipine now I didn't get the side effects with the other stuff but I was only on it for 2 days. Now how are you going to name your babies have you decided which one is going to get the first name. I have decided the big one will have the name I have chosen and the little one will have the name my DH has chosen
I was thinking the samething about my cervix, its annoying that they didn't think that the measurements unusual.
Argon we have decided to extend our lease for 6 months which is a relief that is one less thing we don't have to worry about for now. That is a good Idea moving your bedroom I only have to walk up 1 level I can't imagine 3 OMG.
AFM I feel really good today had no tightenings which is the first day. I had really bad diarrhea lastnight and this morning not sure what that was all about:redface: The boys are moving around alot which feels really weird I can make out what part of body it is but its hard to feel the the little one as he is lying across the lower part of my tummy I can feel him moving and hiccuping so cute.
-
Just jumping on very very quickly to say Jen i have been thinking of you today - i hope your scan went well and i look forward to hearing if your bubs are going to arrive tom or hang on a little longer!! Either way good luck and i will be saying lots of  for you.
Hi azza and argon.
I'll bbl to check in just on my way out the door!
xxBella
-
Hi guys,
Well, I've joined the hospital mummies! Nothing too dramatic. My blood pressure is up and my blood platelets are low and I have small amounts of protein in my urine. So the concern is obviously pre-eclampsia. I'm really here for monitoring more than anything else - regular blood pressure and protein checks. I'm far enough along now that my ob will deliver if symptoms start developing any more than they have already. I'll see her today but she was talking about a Tuesday afternoon induction so if that happens It'll likely be Wednesday by the time my girls come - I may also end up with 9/9/9!
Otherwise, if things are looking good today she is talking about the 16th.
I'm not too worried. The girls are at good weights (2.14kg and 2.44kg) and they are giving me steroids yesterday and today for their lungs. So we should be fine, fingers crossed.
Hope you guys are well. I am wondering if Jen might be having her boys today!? I'm sending lots of good luck vibes out!!

Ooooh Argon welcome to the hossy club I hope everything behaves itself but like you say if they ave to come now its pretty safe Whaooo imagine you and Jen having your babies on the same day. Good luck with everyhtng please let us know how everything is going.
Jen I hope everything is going great with you.
Hi miss Bella you are making me jealous you sound like you are so busy doing stuff :lol: how is your DH going over in thailand. Hope you are relaxing dont join us in the hossy club.
AFM I have had no tightenings in since Tuesday so I think they have gone for now my OB is so happy I have make it to 29 weeks she said she might let me go home depending on my scan on Monday I obviously will have to do everything I am doing in hossy at home which is not a problem as I dont want to end up back here until I have my babies so cross all you fingers and toes for me.
-
Hello ladies!!!
Argon! Hope you're ok. I can't believe 3 of us are in hosp.!!! Bella, you need to keep the faith on the outside!! I'm sure ALL twin pregs end up like this..!!! How funny if we have our babies on the same day!!!!!!!! Thinking of you lots and lots...
Azz - will they really let you go home with a short cervix??? Now, you listen to me (can you tell that's my 'mum voice'), IF you go home, you HAVE TO REST. You will be so tempted to move around - even just a teeny tiny bit - and you have to keep these babies baking a bit longer. I totally understand how desperate you are to get home, so you have to promise us that you will STAY IN BED if you do go home.
Well, my news is that the boys will be arriving on Wed. My results were a bit worse, but not bad enough to need an emergency delivery, thank goodness!!!
ANyhow, ladies, very tired today, will check in again tomorrow.
Jenxx
-
Hey,
That's great news Azz that they are thinking about letting you go home. You must be so sick of the hospital! Although, I'm with Jen, you need to be very very good! I'm glad you postponed moving house = it would have been hard no to get involved.
Glad to hear you're doing well enough Jen that they'll hold off until Wednesday. Enjoy your final few days baking! I can't quite believe I'll have children by this time next week but it seems pretty certain!!
Hi Bella. Hope you and your bubs are doing well. Is hubby still away? Hope you are being spoilt by your family and friends!
Take care everyone. xx
-
argh - just re-read my post. Bella, I meant to say I'm sure NOT ALL twin pregs end up like this :)
-
That's funny Jen. Oops!
I was just saying to my hubby last week after I caught up on all of your posts from the last few months how I felt really lucky. That there were two women on this forum in hospital and I was lucky enough to be at home and well at 35 weeks. And he said to me that it was good when people in a mixture of situations post to forums because then other people who read the forum won't think that hospital time is inevitable in twin pregnancies. And then two days later, I end up in hospital too!!
But it's true. There are so many different ways these things can progress. I've spoken to a lot of twin mums since falling pregnant, and some have ended up in hospital early, but many went to 37, 38, 39 weeks and then went into labour spontaneously, with no major problems. Look at Kezza who delivered her twins naturally in 5 hours or something without drugs!!
But the important thing is obviously getting our little ones out as safely as possible!
-
YES MUMMIES I will behave, if I can go home that is. You girls make me laugh.
I agree with you argon I have spoken to a couple of twin mummies and they all have different stories but I guess that is the same with singleton pregnancies as well.
The twin co ordinator came in to say hello she also had twins she made it to 35 weeks and had boys I also go to watch a video of twin mums and there deliveries boy wasn't that an eye opener it showed c sections and natrual deliveries it showed everything, but it was good to see as I have no idea about c sections. A midwife came in and spoke to me about breastfeeding which was really nice it feels like I have had a mini antinatal leason.
Jen whaoo so Wednesday fantastic I can't believe its so close now. Do you know if there is away where we can post our babies photos as I would love to see your little bubs well all of our little twins. I feel we have been going through so much together it would be lovely to see them.
Hi Bella what you up to today, my link to the outside world:lol::lol:
-
Family friends daughter had full term twins, one natural delivery then c section for no. 2. and a member of my church had twin boys to 37weeks c section delivery (planned). So yes, it is very possible.
You go all you girls!
-
Yay! thanks ausgirl. you listening Bella! that's going to be you!! All the way to the end :)
Good luck for today argon. Thinking of you and your induction. Hope all goes smoothly. And I hope your little ones are born safe and sound.
I have managed to pull a muscle in my neck while lying here doing nothing. tell me, how on earth is that even possible!! ridiculous. I have been having to take valium to relax is as nothing else has even touched the sides and I haven't slept more than an hour or two at a time for the past 3 days. I just want it to go away so that I can hold my babies without pain!! Prob going to get a physio massage today, so that should help.
I am going to be a mama in just over 24 hours!!!!!!!!!!! I''m booked in for 8.30am tomorrow. I just can't believe the time is nearly here.
Thank you so much ladies for your friendship and support. This has been such a fantastic space. I will be thinking of you, and next time I check in I will have two little boys. I will see if I can work out how to do photos.
My big baby - twin 1 - head down at the bottom is Hamish. I can just tell from his little personality. He's quite 'pow pow pow' in there, and I've always imagined Hamish as the real boys boy! and my little one is Lachlan - he's a bit more gentle and slow moving - a bit more languid I think. But we'll see if that's how they end up :) Only time will tell.
I had my baby shower here at the hosp on saturday. It was so so lovely. my mum, sisters and MIL did such a beautiful job of keeping it all colour-coordinated for me (they know I'm a bit mental like that!!), so the whole thing was themed duck egg blue, silver and white - right down to the ribbons tied to the stems of the champagne flutes and the icing on the cupcakes!! Bless them. And I was so fortunate to receive the most amazing presents. My girlfriends are a very special bunch :)
Well, ladies, thinking of you always, and I'll be back soon to check in and let you all know how it went. If I can't figure out how to put photos here, then I'll send you a link to my blog. It's just a way I've been keeping track of my pregnancy and the things i love. I haven't gone into any detail of the IVF business as I didn't want randoms knowing all that detail. DH and I have agreed that only our parents know and we want to keep it that way. So you won't see anything about that particular journey there, but you will see some pretty photos and some letters from me to my boys.
Love you all!
Jenxx

All the best for the delivery Jen, prayers ascending.
-
Best wishes for tomorrow Jen, I am sure it will all go fabulously, how exciting you get to meet your little boys, can't wait to hear your news. xx
-
Oh Jenc I know everything will go smoothly for you I will be thinking of you tomorrow. Those are great names. Your baby shower sounded great prefect timing. I hope that neck of your fixes itself before tomorrow. Best of luck and pop back in when you can.
Argon I am also thinking of you can't believe you and Jen are at the end of your pregnancy journey and moving on to the next step. Good luck for today and tomorrow you are going to have your little girls in your arms soon :dance:
Miss Bella you are going to be the one that will make it to 38 weeks ok, hope everything is going well for you miss busy bee.:lol:
AFM had my scan yesterday I haven't spoken to my OB yet but I know what she will say. They sonographer doctor said that I might have to say to the end because of my little man is now in the 2% range he weighs 1083 and the big man is 1660 so nearly 600grms between the to. He said depending on my OB we will have to pull them out soon in the next week or 2 they are not worried about my cervix anymore but it is measuring .8mm still so it hasn't opened which is good. Im just waiting for my OB to come in and see what she wants to do.
Best of luck Jenc and Argon thinking of you both xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
-
:goodluck::goodluck: jenc best of luck for a beautiful day tomorrow.

JEN....... I wish you all the very best for tom. Wow it's crept up quickly. I hope Hammish and Lachlan will one day appreciate the difficulties they caused.. ha ha . I hope they are both happy and healthy boys - you have done a wonderful job - i can't wait to hear all about it afterwards. I hope you get some sleep tonight it may be the last for a while :lol: Take care lovely xxxxxxxxxx
Azza - you make me laugh, i haven't been able to post as i stayed with a friend the last 2 nights who doesn't have the internet . How did you go with your ob? 600g difference that sounds like alot is it? I look forward to hearing what the plan is. I hope you and jen are right and i last a long time although just between us i can't imagine my belly being able to expand a further 12 weeks - i'm so uncomfortable by night time the only relif i get is lying down sitting is killing me!
Argon - i am also thinking of you hope your induction is going well and i can't wait to hear all about your delivery!!! Best of luck!
Well I have been busy since DH left me.... he is still away and my god i miss him like crazy. I never anticipated i would be this emotional - the fact i'm pregnant probably doesn't help but lets just say it will never happen again . I spent the week with mum - my goodness she drove me mad!!!!! She meant well but i think i just need my own bed, house, recliner and have my beautiful dog bella with me - so i am at home now just pottering about. Mum did stay here over the weekend and we did heaps of spring cleaning well my mum and sisters did while i directed haha!!
The boys are kicking and moving i feel great - other than fat and very uncomfortable but nothing else happening. I have my next scan and appt on Friday it's my first appt without DH. I also have my glucose tol test so that should be interesting.
Well i may be on my own in this forum shortly :lol::lol:
Take care lovely ladies and i can't wait for updates!!!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxBella

Argon, same prayers ascending for you too!

Hi Bella, I really really hope you don't have GD it is a pain in the butt it is harder to control when you are carring twins because the placenta is so big but in my case when I get the steriod injection once a week it goes out the window because its fill of sugar and it last for about 5-6 days its really doing my head in.
Good on you for getting your mum and sister to spring clean your house get it all done now, how are you going with baby shopping if you got everything. I see you are nearly 26weeks thats great. Can wait to hear about you scan on friday.
I spoke to my OB today and she has booked me in for 2 ultra sounds Thursday and Monday to check the dopplers she will let me know after each scan what she thinks so it just a waiting game now obviously I would like them to stay in as long as they can but its not up to me and I will be here till the end which doesn't both me. OB is very happy that I have made it this far lets see if can make it a little bit further.
Oh I forgot to say my dad has brought us a pram its a Maclaren and it came with everything so now I think I have the main things anything else I can get after the boys are born.
-
Good morning ladies,
Jen and Argon - i hope your deliveries went well and that jen your boys and argon your girls are here safe and happy... can't wait to hear!
Azza - good luck for your scan today - i have been talking alot to my boys about sharing the nutrients and have been  your little one has had a growth spurt! Hopeing everything is ok - can't wait to hear.
I to hope i don't have/get GD - i am just having the challange test GCT not the tolerance test GTT apparently if this comes back high i go on to do the long one - apparently i don't even need to fast for this one but i think i better ring up today and double check. Hope your not going to insane - you are doing such a wonderful job!
AFM - i'm waiting for the oven man to come and fix my oven! It's been broken for about 12+ months - it works but only on one temperature and it's hottest at the back so you have to keep turning everything around :lol: - it's one of those jobs i have been putting off but what better time! Then i think i might pop down to target - they have a baby sale started yest - i need some mattress protectors for the cots and i think i might put some baby monitors on layby - the angel care sound and movement one is on special $139 usually $200, and i'm also thinking about an electric bottle steriliser - actually maybe i'll wait on that one not sure if i need?? I think i have plently of clothes and things so i think i'm pretty much covered. Anyway enough rambling i have my scan tom can't wait!
Take care

Hi Ladies
I hope everything went well with your deliveries Jenc and Argon hope your little buddles are doing well. Please give them a big cuddle from us belly girls.
Bella I didn't know there was a target sale on I might get DH to check it out. With the GCT you don't have to fast only but with the GTT you have to book it in for the morning as you do have to fast for that one. Hope your oven got fixed today or did he have to send away for parts that will take 2 weeks to get there :lol: Hope you scan goes well tomorrow.
AFM I went on a tour of the NICU today and it was a bit of an eye opener there was a set of twin in there that were delivered at 27 weeks they were so tiny I also saw a baby that was the size of my little man and the size wasnt such a shock it was still tiny but I think it help me to get an idea of how he will look if they did come soon. Now as for my scan not sure what happen but the sonographer was finding it hard to get the dopplers for the little ones cord she went out of 20mins then came back in and had to remeasure his cord again she said that there are 2 tubes in the cord and 1 is flowing normal and the the other 1 is flowing high im not sure what that means but I if there was a problem im sure my OB would of called. I will keep you posted.

Hello everyone,
Quick update - scan went well - twin 1 had put on about 200g twin 2 not as good - i can't remember exact weights but it put twin 2 still in 30%tile so they arn't concerned. I will remain on fortnightly scans to keep an eye on him but my ob wasn't worried. Fluid levels good and flow through the umbi cords all good. BUT - my bp was up again  so i have to go back next week for another check if it's still up then further bloods and urine required. I did however get some good news that my glucose challange test was perfect so no need for the full one and no GD for me :dance:. So all in all a pretty good appointment - i find it very interesting my bp always comes down by the end of the consult so i don't think it's truly elevated at least thats what i'm praying!!
Hope everyone is well today i will pop back later...

Hi Miss Bella that great news you don't have GD yah:dance:. Tell your boys to shear, if your OB isn't to cncerned then thats a good thing 30% is still good. Hope that BP behaves itself. I sent my auntie off to target to get me some 0000 clothes as I only have a couple if they come early.
I spoke to my OB about my scan yesterday and she is worried about the little one cord flow she is thinking of pulling them out next week arrrrrh she said he is alright for now when I have my scan on Monday she will decided what to do then. I also spoke to the NICU doctor he told me what to expect when the boys come out and how long they may stay NICU wich was good know. I feel that I am mentally prepaired for it but once again its waiting waiting waiting but I will keep you posted I should know by Tuesday the latest.
