Yay! I was so excited to see this thread come back up in my subscribed posts. Congratulations! It is such exciting (and overwhealming) news!

My identical twin girls turned 1 on Tuesday, and what a year it has been! Crazy busy but amazing at the same time. I know I have said it before, but I am surprised at how much I absolutely love being a twin mum. My funny little girls have such great personalities - although they look almost exactly the same (DD2 has a ear that sticks out which is really their only difference), they are quite different in character.

TTL - the only other thread that I can think of that might be of some help to you is the one that SarahRach posted on ob guidelines for identical twins. She sadly lost her boys to twin to twin transfusion but worked amazingly hard to get the guidelines changed in reagrds to the frequency of scans that id twin mums should have. I will try to dig up the link when I am on the computer next.

One thing I will say is don't google too much! I did and freaked myself out constantly. There is so much that *can* be difficult with twin pregnancies but I think (now in hindsight) that it is also something you have to just rest as best you can, and trust your docotrs and your own instincts. There is a fab twin book that I read called Twin - A practical guide (I think) and the authors are Katrina Bowman and Louise Ryan. It was Australian so lots of the info is relevant, and I found it great to read through their stories.

I shall try to return later to type more - just put the girls down to sleep so I must get some housework done and maybe a little snooze for me while DH entertains DS. Lots of wake ups here last night - I am hoping it is finally a sign of teeth - still NONE at 12 months
