You've been invited to DJ's 2nd birthday and our fairwell bash.
Your presence is presents enough, but if you feel obliged to give a gift to DJ please make a donation to the Floor Appeals, a gift that keeps on giving.
Only because you mentioned it... it's farewell not fairwell!
I like Helle's wording too. I would insert the word 'instead' somewhere to make it clear a donation is instead of a gift, not in addition to a gift. "... please make a donation to the flood appeal instead, a gift that keeps on giving."
you are invited to DJ's 2nd Birthday.
Please do not bring gifts - DJ is lucky enough to have all he needs. If you would like to, we would appreciate a donation to the Flood Appeal.
Really lovely idea. We also do the give something to charity on your bday (and any other special day) thing with the boys - is nice and reminds them how lucky they are.
