Surprise proposal with surprise ring to style that was discussed at some point from so he had an idea of what I liked. Cause most men really wouldn't know their ladies taste in my experience.

DH picked my ring then showed me before buying it (super fussy and knows if I hated it, he'd never hear the end if it lol). He surprised me with the proposal day and location, few months after getting the ring

I would want surprise everything. I got d, discussed engagement, surprise ring. In fact it was meow like assumed proposal without an official will you marry me. We just both knew the other wanted it and just said we were...then my Xmas pressie was a ring (which even though he knew the type of ring I wanted - small, not flashy or blingy at all because you had to see the planned tattoo). So was the perfect ring even tho he did it all himself.
