We were invited to my cousins wedding. It was on the 26 of nov and I was due the 22. We said we would all go and if we couldn't make it we would pay for our meal. My cousin and his fiancé said it was fine, in fact they just wanted us there and they would pay for our meal either way. They understood that it was quite obviously beyond my control! I didn't want to miss out on their wedding if I didn't really have to.
