    i think it means like eveing attire..
    evening dresses... they do actually call them a ****tail dress lol...

    LOL - I've got a similar dilemma. Cousin's wedding in Feb. I've been told that it's 'formal' dress. What the heck is that supposed to mean?? Target shirts not ok??

    I'm not a dress person either, but I guess I'll see what I can find!

    The last wedding I went to I wanted a maxi dress.. til everything I tried showed off just how big my hips have gotten!! I was in denial til then... happily!

    You don't have to wear a dress. But it is evening wear. So dressy pant & top etc would be fine. If you're not comfy in a dress don't do that or you'll feel out of place and out of sorts. Wear something that's "you" but in pants and an evening top.
