    Mako, most naming days I've been to the little ones are just dressed in a nice outfit, so a nice shirt and jeans or pants would be fine I think.

    Thanks for the replies. I thought about jeans but wasn't sure if they'd be dressy enough but by going on what you all have said maybe they'll be the go

    Must start shopping for that shirt

    You could do whatever you liked really. A little suit or a shirt and nice jeans for a more casual feel. Or a christening gown if you wanted a more formal look and then you could change him into his birthday clothes for his birthday. It's really up to you.

    Bit different situation, but I was a bridesmaid when ds1 was 1 yr old and he came to the wedding. We dressed him in navy pants and a button down shirt as I thought jeans were a bit casual.

    If you get him a nice, well made, gender neutral white gown for his naming you can reuse it for any future siblings and then hand it down to your children should they want it.

    DD had a christening but this baby will have naming day - I was just going to use the same dress - my mum made it so its a little special )
