DH has applied for a new job and has currently done the following..

* Group interview/brief
* Physcometric testing
* Panel Interview
* Medical
* Drug and Alcohol testing
* Referees have been called

He has had to pass previous step before progressing..

Now we have received an email for background check. (I am going to write it all down so DH only has to log on and complete when he gets home).

Would a company really be doing all these checks if they didn't intend on hiring him (there is a group intake, so not just 1 position)?

Normally we would just go with the flow, but tomorrow is his last day his boss is in before we go on holidays, and if he did get the job, he will be resigning while on leave and not returning to his current place of employment.

So what are your experiences with these kind of jobs where all these checks are crucial to employment?
