Good on you Bath! I think you'll enjoy yourself, the mental stimulation will do you good!
I'm in a similar situation to Leasha - pinching myself! I also got a job that I am really excited about, originally I applied for a different position, the woman who interviewed me must have liked me because she referred my CV to another department, a few weeks later they rang to say they had a position and I should apply. Even though I have no direct experience in this role (as an underwriter) they felt that I could do it and that I was a good fit for the organisation. I just got back from the company conference and I haven't even started yet!
So good luck! I'll be watching to see how you go!

I agree with temping not always being great - I've been temping since I was made redundant in March, and I've had good jobs and bad ones. At the moment I've been placed with a well known construction company in WA, and I'm pushing for a permanent position, as I love the work and the atmosphere, such a lovely company!

My point is, although temping's not ideal in many way, it also gives you a chance to trial companies and workplaces without getting a black mark against your name for chopping and changing jobs IYKWIM. This is my second long term contract - my first was with another well known company that had a toxic atmosphere and no support further up. Luckily, even though I left suddenly and before my contract was up, my agency kept me on their books and gave me this great contract!

I'm with Hays; I had an interview and testing to do first, and now they keep my resume on file and update it regularly with all the new experience I've gotten through them. I have experience in far more than I would've if I had managed to get a permanent position back in March!
