I hope your friend can calmly pursue her rights to the very end. It sounds like she has a very good case.
Remind her that if she can keep a cool head she will be more likely to succeed. She can probably end up turning this negative situation into a positive. Let us know how she along.

Despite all my convincing...she did nothing!!!!!!!!!!!
    ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I gave her all the reasons as to why but her response was she would rather just leave it and spend the time with her daughter.

I wish i could "talk" to them and tell them how wrong they were in doing this!!

Her choice I guess. Still, she shouldn't have been treated that way, it's illegal and she should be compensated.

Ask her to at least talk to someone in authority so this does not happen to someone else.
Would she like it to happen to someone else?
This way it can be investigated by the right people even if she doesn't want to make a fuss and so women will be treated fairly in the work place.

*gobsmacked* Wow, if I'd been treated that way I'd have wanted to take things further. But, I guess she obviously has her reasons for not wanting to.

Is she looking for another job?
