I have tried to get my own little business off the ground this year while having my 3yo at home. It hasn't worked at all. next year he will be in full time care... i have decided that it might be better to juggle a paid position with somebody else and maybe be able to afford a day or two at home (with 3yo in care) than try to struggle on at home with him.
