I love collecting quotes and poems!!

I like the poem "If" by Kipling.

I also love the poem Don't Quit. It is by that great author Anon!!

    Some sayings are:
In three words I can sum up everything I know about life: It goes on.
When you are going through hell, keep going. (Winston Churchill)
Never ever ever give up (Winston Churchill)

    And the serenity prayer

Also finally 1 Corinthians 13:4,13 from the bible
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

mine is next to my name...

when life throws you a curve, tuck in, hold on and ride it.

basically to me it means you can get through anything if you are determined.

wheneevr thinsg go wrong i think just hold on it will all be ok soon

and i love, "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what ya gonna get "

I saw this on my friends FB.
    - Whoever said happiness needs sunshine has never gone dancing in the rain just loved it.
    - Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile

    I just read this in a new book i've started...about how anything can be accomplished if you take it a little at a time;

By the mile it's a pile, by the yard it's hard, by the inch it's a cinch!

    I love it!

"Looking forward, not behind; everybody’s got to cross that line." - Three Doors Down.

"...but it's better you be the writer yourself than some b*$tard who only ever writes bad parts for you." - Richard Flanagan, 'The Sound of One Hand Clapping'.

"Hedhiu ew hedhiu buz ma liaz avorrow." - A modern Cornish translation of "today is today but there are many tomorrows".

In March 1918 Bethune, then commanding No. 1 section, 3rd Machine Gun Company, was ordered to defend an exposed position at Passchendaele. His group of seven men became isolated, but held the position for eighteen days. Bethune issued the following orders, later described by The Times as 'inspiring and famous':

1.This position will be held and the section will remain here until relieved.

2.The enemy cannot be allowed to interfere with this programme.

3.If the section cannot remain here alive, it will remain here dead, but in any case it will remain here.

4.Should any man, through shell shock or other cause, attempt to surrender, he will remain here dead.

5.Should all guns be blown out, the section will use Mills grenades, and other novelties.

6.Finally, the position, as stated, will be held.

The above inspires me and reminds me that my problems are nought.

Nothing is predestined: The obstacles of your past can become the gateways that lead to new beginnings

theres truth behind every 'just kidding', curiosity behind every 'just wondering', knowledge behind every 'i dont know' and emotion behind every ' i dont care'

knows there's no dawn without a night, no rainbow without the rain, no victory without a fight, no happiness without pain...somehow we will all find love again!

My house is clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy. My Mum has a sign up in her house for this one.

Another one my Mum always says is "It's ok to spoil your children, just don't ruin them"

DP always says ''be nicest to those who deserve it least'' it always reminds me to strive to be a better person.
As a child i was always told ''what doesnt kill you, makes you stronger'' and DP always says ''everything happens for a reason'' and they always remind me to just trust that things will work out if i just hold on.
also the saying in my sig ''spend less time making a living and mre time making a life'' is there to remind me that money doesnt make a happy family, i tend to get so stressed when we have nothing to fall back on money wise but i have to remember that you dont need $$$$ to have a beautiful family!

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger

It's a cliche these days really but boy when times have been so tough I felt like I almsot was killed it has rung so true and those times really have made me stronger and been worth it for showing me what a strong person I am.

There is absolutely no evidence for the idea that life is serious

Love this one! Reminds me to chill out

Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

This has also helped me through hard times and reminded me that struggle is a choice I make, not something imposed on me.

What is the future? The future is a blank sheet of paper and we draw lines on it, but sometimes the lines we draw aren't the ones we necessarily wanted.

That's sort of how it goes, it's from Tomorrow, When The War Began, by John Marsden. I remember reading it and it stuck with me because even though the lines we draw aren't necessarily the ones we intended to, they sometimes come out better.
