Juliette: you can get the buffer things in kmart, target etc or in any baby store, they are about 30 dollars. Safe and sound is one brand of them, i use that in Masons bassinet.

On the topic of forgetting, We forgot our wedding anniversary this year, with a baby around i think its easy to do.
Had a bad morning this morning, woke up to screaming, gggrrr, thought alarm clocks were bad but i think i would rather be woken up by one of them, refused to get up because he had been fed etc, so just kept putting dummy in until he gave in and slept, then got me up at 9am so wasnt too bad. He will soon realise like Luke that mum is not a happy morning person...
