Hello girls,

well, my wisdom tooth is gone. It wasn't too bad, it just sounded really awful but didn't feel a thing. Had to express of course afterwards and throw away the milk ... I always hate doing that... wasting good mommy milk...

Lara, I can't believe that lady started to argue with you over you speeding when she drove into you! grrr...
re. the fruit: I asked my midwife yesterday what solid to first feed Wolf (when the time comes) and she said a banana. She said bananas are wildely popular with babies and it's thus a great first solid to introduce as the success factor is high (as in bubs eating it). I honestly don't know why they recommend those cereals... maybe just propaganda by the companies producing them?

Beth, I make a clear distinction between day time naps and night-time sleeps. During the day, I have to make sure I put him down after 1 - 1.5 hours of wake time. Some times he will fall asleep on his own on the baby gym but if he is overstimulated (because daddy just wouldn't listen to what I said), then I have to use some props (most common prop: popping him in the pram and going for a walk - he's asleep in 2 mins). I stick to the feed / play / sleep routine during the day. In the evening he has a different routine: play, naked time, bath time, feed and then bed. He goes down without any trouble and sometimes I don't even need to use a dummy.

Melbee, I can't wait to meet the parents from my ante-natal class. I am really keen to hear how everyone went... our meeting is not until April though.

No, not going back to Oz for good just yet. We will be back for 6 weeks. We don't have a clear plan on when we move back but will have to be back when Wolf is ten and will start high school. In fact, we'll sign him up for private school when we go back to Sydney in 2 weeks. So that will be the latest point in time when we have to return to Oz. But we will definitely be back once a year for 1-2 months so our kids (yep, more planned) will be in touch with Aussie culture.

Ooooh, Wolf is crying - I think he wants his morning tea!

Love
