hi everyone, i've been lurking but can't often find the time to post, sorry... my alerts \ seems to have disappeared as well, so not sure what's going on there.

shoegal i can understand your feeling sad about weaning, but well done for bf-ing for this long, it's a great achievement.

bw well done with operation unwrap! dd is still wrapped for the first part of the night - i find if i don't, she waves her arms around and grabs things, claws me etc. she does wriggle herself out during the night but it seems to help with that first settling. guess i'll have to change that sometime soon...

fire glad to hear ci's not showing any signs of allergy, after everything you went through with his eczema that must be a relief. my dd is standing too, not cruising exactly (she's just starting to move herself sideways while holding on to things) but pulling herself up everywhere (unfortunately this means ds's low kiddy table is no longer a safe place for lego). she does crawl as well, but standing is her major passion atm.

as for me i'm hanging in there, hoping for sleep improvements and waiting til dd's cold disappears (she's revoltingly snotty and horribly miserable) so i can attempt to implement some changes (like, sleeping for more than an hour at a time). i'm so exhausted my brain seems to be shutting down and i find myself doing stupid things like trying to strap tiny dd into big brother's giant booster seat. thank god dh has some time off over xmas so i can catch up on a bit of sleep.

solids - i'm hopeless with this, just can't seem to find time to cook, mash, puree. dd eats rice cereal, but only a couple of teaspoons a day. she's had banana, didn't exactly love it though, and tried pear (yuk) and apple (yuk). am holding off on the potential allergens (wheat, dairy etc) especially as she still has weird poo indicating some kind of sensitivity to something.

gotta go cook our dinner now. hi to everyone i've missed.
