Bel... How confusing for you. I was still bf abbey when I fell pg so I don't know if that would happen. However a friend of mine was holding Abbey when she was only a couple of weeks old (for the first time) and she started leaking as well. It had been 12 months since she had stopped feeding so she thought she might be pg too but she wasn't, just her body sending her crazy lol. Hopefully your body is just getting mixed signals, but I think it is going to keep eating at you until you do a test. I'm sure everything will work out just fine either way. I also think your mind starts playing tricks on you at times like this and everything feels like a pg symptom.
Nickers.. yay for DH being home.
Ali.. wow on only 7 weeks to go. good luck with it all. Which pram did you end up deciding on? We have started looking but have no idea.
Becky.. Good Luck with the house!
Sorry guys thats about all I can remember lol
It has been getting so cold here. Abbey has a bit of a cold and had a bit of a temperature yesterday. We ended up at hospital after she had a febrile convulsion, OMG it was so scary, Chris wasn't home so I was by myself. Luckily I had heard about it on here so I knew what was happening. Turns out she has an ear infection so is on antibiotics. Apparently it is really common at this age. She is heaps better today.
She is a pro at walking now, doesn't crawl unless she has to. We have got a gate to put on our lounge room so it is now her playroom as she is getting way to quick and loves getting into everything. Its great to be able to put her in a safe spot and not have to worry so much.
Well half way through this post Abbey did the most disgusting explosive poo so its taken me twice as long to get this out. I'm off now to get her in her jammies and into bed. Will try and get on here more (i know i always say that lol)
Oh Bel.... I Totally know the feeling about BAD Timing..... As you see from my sig I had one really long cycle & it was doing my head in.....I was so stressed which made things worse...
All I can suggest is do a test & hopefully everything wil fall into place...
Hey Bel it is only ur body playing tricks but if it's not just remember that it will all work out in the end no matter how stressful it gets. Everything happens for a reason.
Amanda - i'm getting an extremely expensive pram! the only ones with reversible handles are the emmaljunga style but I found 1 on ebay so aiming to spend around 1/4 of the price. RRP is $1200! Make sure whatever u choose is unlikely to tip and fits thru a standard doorway.
Bel - so happy for you that you don't have to go through with making THAT decision I have been there done that and it would of been something you would have regreted for the rest of your life no matter how bad you think it would of been on the flip side! My bb's do that all the time I get pains and I swear that I get kicks my periods have been all over the place I mean I had a 19 day cycle this months I mean come on as if you need them any shorter in length!!! My DH would leave me if I was pregnant he is not keen on more kids Im sure he will change is mind eventually but if it happened right now he would blame me and most likely leave me he has actually said this!!!
We have had 5 lots through our house now 2 lots have been through twice and one of them is the daughter of some very wealthy parents so we are hoping they buy it and the parents are funding it so we have a cash buyer and it will go through nice and quick.
Poor old Declan has been in the wars yesterday we were up stairs and declan found a glass that DH had left up behind the bar and started running with it and fell and it hit him in the head and cut his beside his eye and a couple of days ago OMG THE MOST SCARIEST HING happened I was cleaning up and I had the back door open so Declan could play outside on the Deck which is just like one big play pen all secure he can hurt anything or vice versa anyway I put some rubbish outside the front door stinky nappy so it wouldn't smell the house out and I would remember to put it in the garbage before we left anyway when I shut the door it must not have latched properly and I didn't realise anyway about 5 mins later I heard declan whinging not even really crying I figured he couldn't reach something anyway I went to go out the back when I noticed the front door wide open and OMG there is declan sitting on the front steps half way down bleeding from the other side above his eye (it is a great look) I was so luck A he didn't really hurt himself or B he got to the bottom and ran away how scarry!!!!
I'm only hear to post something in another forum re Sydney Water, but that doesn't affect anyone here... hang on, Nickers, boil any water before giving/using it with Nixon... can't reveal my source, but just trust me
Ali, Jen's def not pg... I'd have to read back to see what you are referring to
And oh, Bel... glad to hear all is okay
Anyway, better go... work is driving me nuts and I just over 2 weeks left to finish the redesign of Jen's website (but still waiting on the graphics so I know what she really wants is the final design - argh)
Bel- sorry i wasnt on earlier to post, but my suggestion was going to be to test so u could know either way. Im glad it was the outcome you wanted and definatley understand about timing/money and all the rest of it.
we recently bought a Phil & Ted pram, got it set up just for one toddler at the moment and quiet happy with it so far. once i figured out how to use it LOL
Amanda- OMG how scarey for you, im glad Abbey is ok but sure would have scared the heck out of me
Becky - I wouldn't have gone down that path, we would have managed, but it would have been difficult. Declan really sounds like he's in the wars, poor bubba, hope he gets over it soon
Nickers - The phil & ted prams are excellent, my sister has one that we used when we were in the states visiting her. She was devestated when someone pinched it from behind her car when she was putting her son in his seat. She bought a new one, but had to wait ages for it to be delivered.
oooh, what's happening with Sydney water? Anything I should know about when I'm there next week? (kids wont be with me)
k, gotta go, I so don't have time to be chatting atm, but just had to check in
Hi Bel,
oh what a filthy rotten scvm that must have been with your sister and the pram - the audacity of some people
Water: Due to the heavy rain we've had lately, our main dam has been filling a fair bit, and stuff laying on the soil has washed into the water and there's a plume of something. Sydney Water says it is fine, and the advise we had was before anything came out via the media... and probably too early ie before test results were available.... but better to be safe than sorry
So we are just boiling water to be on the safe side - SW is still saying it isn't a problem
GOsh so much happens in such a short time.
I understand Bel about the whole unplanned so congrats on not being up the duff!
My sis is utd and unplanned and has been depressed about it but is getting better now. Glad things worked out ok for you.
I laybuyed the phil and ted's plram a couple of weeks ago. My current pram only takes one, stupid oversight on my behalf when buying before Caden was born but so be it. Am going to sell my Beema on ebay. HOpe it makes a little $$$.
What a stink that must have been having someone steal your pram when unloading into the car. I must admit I have thought about someone doing that to me in the past at the big shopping centres down here but never really worried about it that much, might have to rethink that when we get the new one as they are pretty popular and very $$$.
Caden is teething, molars at the moment, he's pretty good considering, gets grizzly a fews days before then settles down after they first cut. Just sleeps less beofre and heaps after they cut. He can walk but preferst o crawl and knee shuffle at the mopment. We're not particularly fussed, as longs as he is upwardly moile come october/november, can't imagine trying to carry two around!
We'll gotta go give him his milk and put him to bed, my sleep time is quickly approaching.
bye,
geez the hide on someone stealing a pram while putting baby in the car?
One day recently i was in an unfamilar area. I stopped at Aldi to get some nappies/wipes.
As i was putting Nix in the car i thought to myself someone could waltz past and grab out of the trolly. within that time a guy walked past, stopped at my trolly and had a geezer inside..... i poked my heard out of the car and said are u right are u, he looked at me and then took off..... lucky for me there was nothing he wanted only nappies and wipes, but thats how quickly things can happen
charlie has started doing to cutest thing! you say to him at night - " do you want to go to bed" he say yes and then walks to his bed waiting for you to put him in it - it is adorable!!
nicers - i love the aldi nappies!!! - the gawl of some people - stopping and looking - charlie had a spack attack own the street the other day and some old lady made a comment to her friend as she walked past about the fact that i must be hurting him - i looked at the supid old lady and said - if i was hurting him he'd be screaming more than that!
gee nickers, you can't imagine that kinda of stuff happening until it happens to someone you know. Lucky you were thinking of it at the time and checked.
Jacci - that's just gorgeous. My nephews used to just disappear and my brother and his wife would find them in their beds waiting to be tucked in and lights turned off. So cute!
not quite as cute as that Jacci, but we take Jordy upstairs, change his nappy and put him in his PJ's and read some books whilst he has a last drink of milk
We then go and brush his teeth - he know starts to really stick the toothbrush in his mouth, more like a lollypop as in straight in, but he's getting better at it. We doing the moving of the toothbrush somewhere around his mouth. Oh and he loves putting it under the tap too - sometimes he sucks the water off the brush
And then I take him into his bedroom and only need to hold him for maybe 1m before he's ready to go horizontal - doesn't always go straight to sleep, but will usually be out like a light within 5-10 mins
Thought id pop in and say hi. My second DS am was born on the 19 April 06 (same day as my late grandfather which is pretty special). It is interesting to read about what all your littlies the same age are doing.
Sam has just started to walk around everywhere. He seemed to pick it up quite quickly once he started. I love the way he holds he arms up to get his balance at the moment.
He's a pretty good sleeper and always has a chat to himself before nodding off. We have just dropped a sleep so he just goes down once during the day at around midday but only sleeps for about 1.5 hours. Weve had a couple of sleeps more than 2 hours. I always worry that it isn't enough. Is everyone doing one sleep now or two? I hope i haven't dropped it too early but it was getting to hard to get him down in the afternoon so i figured it was time.
We are also having some trouble with biting at the moment! When he plays he tries to bite (much to the annoyance of his older brother!- and us!). Im hoping he grows out of this after he gets his teeth. Anyone else have this issue?
That sux getting your pram stolen. Ive never thought about that before. My pram is looking a bit worn out these days anyway but still will have to keep that in mind in the future!
