    Hi,

I am at work....blah, lucky I have access to the computer otherwise i would probably smack someone out!!! this is how I felt about work just before I left to have Olivia!!! Maybe its time to go again!!

Disgirl- welcome back. Happy birthday to Ben. Hope you guys had a great day. And CONGRATULATIONS. When are you due. I think its contagious around here...whos next?!?!? Hows work?

Jen- I so hope you sell up soon, must be doing your head in. Yum yum ice cream.....

    Von- hows the sleep going???

Hey Kel, Kristie Erin and anyone else i have missed.

Us- cross fingers, but we've had a few good nights in a row again. Olivia seems to be happier in her cot when going to bed. She usually screams, but the past few nights shes been playing, babbling and squealing herself to sleep. Shes taking longer to get to sleep though, but i still put her in bed at 8pm. Shes happy to be there...yay.
She has terrible eczema on her face and her lip looks all funny. I'm not sure if its eczema or a cold sore. DH has them but hasnt had them for ages. Shes had this for about a month now, but its not like a cold sore in that its not crusted up iykwim? It looks more like dry skin/burn blister. we go to the paed next wednesday so I'll get him to check it out. I was thinking of taking her to the gp sooner, but I'll just wait. she doesnt seem to be in any pain with it. It could be that she throws everything in her mouth and sometimes she bites down on her lip.

Anyway, enough yabbering, I better go make an apperance!!!

    Have a good day

    Love Melissa

Mel, yay for Olivia having a few good nights! Ben had some shockers in week-long bursts, usually around teething and it's just so exhausting. Let's hope that Olivia is getting the hang of going to sleep on her own.

I'm due on Jan 17 - I think. I've only had two visits from AF since I had Ben and they were six weeks apart so we really don't know when I'm due!!! Jan 17 is as good as guess as any!

Work is okay. It's boring actually. My position is only part-time now, but I'm here full-time! See, just before I left on mat leave, my role changed and a lot of the work disappeared. Of course they have to re-employ me at full time though if I want it so I requested full-time so I could get another six months of full pay maternity leave with bub #2. Complicated huh? LOL After #2 I'll be coming back part time though, it's just too hard. We leave home at 5:45am and get home at 5:30. That's a loooong day!

I have six weeks of sick leave though....so I'm sure I'll make it through some of those before I leave LOL

Hey Mel cappucinno club sounds alright around now......I miss that aspect of work - but not the rest he he! I have to work this arvo/tonight - its annoying to get home after 6 tho which means two buses which i dont enjoy! But I will do anything for some extra money at the moment - I cant stand not having a regular income, there is an amazing homewares sale coming up that I thrashed last year but its weird thinking when those things come up this year that I have to search around for some cash....I hate not being independant!
Thats great Mel that Olivia seems a bit more settltd for you in her cot. Has her lip thingo spread? It sounds a bit like the impitigo sore that Beau had.
Disgirl!!! wow awesome to hear from you and Ben!!!! Congratulations on your pg! I am hopeless knowing when I get AF normally so god help when we start trying for a girl!
Secretly I really want a girl but I am scared to admit it to anyone in case we are blessed with another Beau....which I wouldnt mind really but you know deep deep down I want a little girl!!!!
Hey has anyone been collecting Heinz tokens for the toys? I just looked online and you need 150 tokens minimum!!!! Hilarious!! Then you pay $20 postage and handlng anyway! All for a $50 toy! Im sorry but I wouldnt want Beau eating that much Heinz stuff anyway!!!!!
Ok Better go and do some cleaning - yeech!

Hey Jen- i forgot Beau got impitigo...might google it and have a look see. I think day care are worried she might pass it on coz she puts everything in her mouth.

i didnt feel like socializing so i ate cake and left!!!

I would love another Olivia, but a boy would be good too. I'm not too fussed, just excited.

I know what you mean about searching for cash. We just spend spend atm and my credit card has been bashed. I havent brought anything for myself since being back at work, it just goes on bills...and our new bed. I still havent been back to the dentist since December to get a cap put on my tooth. Thas over $1000 to start with...gggr

    hellooooo ladies,

Sorry I have been MIA,but my puter has been out of action, well my phone lines have been actually, and I have been waiting almost 6 days for telstra to fix then (slack a$$e$!!) So no BB for Kellie

Well the last few days have been pretty good. Lil has been good, sleeping so so, usually two wakes a night, but last night it was 4 (I think, maybe 5??) but DH was home so he helped and let me sleep in a little befoer going to work. Though I wouldn't call it sleeping, all I could hear was Lily whinging and then knocking on the bedroom door! I lasted an hour before getting jack of it and getting up, LOL! At least I didn't have to get up at 6am though. But Lily is good during the day so I can't complain really, and when I'm not at work I have a nanna nap most days for an hour or so, though I feel like I could sleep for at least three...
Got Lil's immunisations tonight, poor little monkey. I feel so emotional about it, it's silly really. DH came with me though. And she was ok, she cried a little and looked at the lady like she was thinking 'why are you hurting me??' But afterwards she was back to her normal self and flirting with everyone. I just hope she doesn't react too badly. She's teething again too so tomorrow might not be a very good day. Though DH has her for the day since I have to work.

Mel, I hear you on how hard working is at the moment. I hate work. Wednesday nights feel so down for me cause I have to work on thurs/fri (and odd mondays). And today my back is aching like no tomorrow, as well as my tummy cause I get so many BH contractions at work from bending and stressing about the little devils that attend the centre. I have seriously never worked with a group of children that are so naughty. I'm only at work for a half day tomorrow though, I'm going to have my GTT and ante natal check up. It's crazy cause who looks forward to drinking that foul over sweet drink???!!!
Yay for you that Olivia is sleeping for you. I hope its because she's turned a corner, not just a phase! Do you think she could teach Lil a few things?

Disgirl, hello!! So good to hear from you. And CONGRATS!!! Another pg buddy! It's kind of surprising to me how many of us are pg again already. My pg wasn't planned, so it was a bit of a surprise, niave as it is I didn't expect to get pg so soon again! Glad to hear Ben is going well.

Jen, I hear you with the money issues too. Even with me working we have hardly any spare cash and it gets a bit depressing. Especially being used to being so independent and spending on what I want.
I was like you with having bubs, but I wanted a boy, especially with DH being so against having more kids. I was so scared of having another girl and never getting to be a mum to a boy. Strange maybe, but that's how I felt. I would have been disappointed if he had been a she. (Hopefully he really is a he!!) I know I should just be greatful for being given the gift of another baby, and I really am, but still that's how I feel...

Ok that's it, hello to everyone I have missed. I hope you and your little ones are all well. Bye!!

    G'morning girls.

Mel, I'm with you, my work sucks too. I'm sick of all the crap that goes on, but am taking great delight in knowing I'm only here for 27 more weeks. I even have a countdown timer on my desktop LOL

Jen, I only have one heinz token. Ben only eats rice cereal (which I mix into his fruit sometimes when he won't eat anything else and I want to fill him up!) from Heinz. I couldn't believe how many tokens you needed either!
I hear you on the spare cash. ATM we are whacking all our spare cash into the mortgage to try and get a bit more ahead. We bought a new car last year which undid a lot of our good work on the mortgage. We really needed the bigger car though my little mazda just wasn't big enough. Still, I feel like we have no money all the time

Kel, congrats on the little boy! I only just noticed that in your sig - d'uh (knew you were pg, just not that you were having a boy)! Do you have any names picked out? I have always imagined me with two boys so I don't know what I'll do if I have a girl LOL We aren't really planning on finding out what we're having, but we didn't plan it last time either but Ben just wanted to show the whole world what he had - much like most boys!!!!

I'm feeling off today. Ben took ages to go to sleep last night which is most unlike him. I still got got bed at 8:30, but we were up at 5:15 so I'm still tired. Very much looking forward to the weekend and a sleep in, although I'm throwing my sis a baby shower on Sunday so I'm not going to get much rest!

Hope you all have a good day!

Jen-don?t get me started on neighbors lol I swear we have always had the neighbours from hell except for this house they are all really great so I told dh that we are going to be buried in the backyard because I never ever want to leave lol?lets see I did cc when Natasha was 3 months and James the last time I tried he would have been around 8 months..whats makes you want to try for a girl? I followed the shettlers method as a lot of my friends did and it was spot on?although a lot of stuffing around

Disgirl-congrats on your pregnancy hope you have a sticky 9 months

Melissa-that?s great that Olivia has been sleeping James has also been really good at going to bed and is still only waking once yay yay?how did the appts go?

Kel-glad your phone lines are fixed?I remember I used to cry when Natasha had her needles probably because she would be screaming the room down but surprisingly James just sits there does not even flinch lol

    Kristie-Happy Birthday

Kylie-rofl hi welcome to bb hope you stick around it is a little quieter then what you would be used to on births but much nicer bunch of ladies I promise lol?

Not much happening here except it is sooooo cold and as the computer is outside in the office that has no heating I am struggling to get the courage u to come out here to get on incase I get frost bite which I must say my hands are beginning to go numb so I am off to warm them up have a great night

    Hiya girlies!!

Disgirl, we have a couple of names, though nothing that really grabs us iykwim! We both like Lachlan the most, but also have Liam, Aden, Callum and Noah. I'd rather not have an L name, since Lily is well... Lily! And Lily and Lachlan/Liam is a bit of a mouthful, though that dilemma is wearing off now. Another thing is the popularity of the names. Most of them are in the top 10 names, though that dilemmas wearing off too and I'm starting to not worry about it. So we're just gonna wait til he comes to see what his name will be. We had HannahRose chosen for Lily but when she was born, we decided to call her Lily Kate! So I am open to suggestions.
I hope you have a great time at your sisters baby shower, sounds like you'll be busy. Try to take some time out for you too!

Kylie, welcome, it's so great to see newcomers still joining us! And yep, as Von says, we're a great bunch of girls!!
    And good luck with ttc!

Mel, I hope everything went well with Olivias check up. Are they still watching her hips, or are they all ok now? How were your u/s results?

Von, Lily is pretty good with needles. It's just the initial jab that makes her cry, she stops after a few minutes. I'm getting worse with each shot she gets, I don't think the raging hormones are helping! She's been pretty good to day too considering the nurse told me to expect her to have a tough day. She slept really well-only one wake up and that was jsut a dummy run! (might have been the panadol before the shots then the nurofen a few hours later!LOL!) Just in case of course!! She does have the body rash, but other than that she's been good.

Well, my monkey has become a climber....she's climbing on the toy box, the tabletop toy thingo she has, boxes, her rocking chair...anything her little legs can push her up onto. And she doesn't just get on it and sit. She stands up and does a little jig, hehehe, very funny but stomach churning at the same time. I'm petrified she's going to fall off. If we had carpet for her to fall on I don't think I'd panic so much, but we have tiles and I'm worried she'll smack her head! Little devil.
Oh I added a piccy of Lily rubbing cream onto my belly. It was so cute. I was putting cream on after a shower tonight and she came and started rubbing my belly too. I think because I rub cream on her after her bath she thought she would do the same for me, though it could have been so she could lick the cream off her hands too....another charming habbit my monkey has
Anyway, gonna go and raid the fridge...its cold here in Sydney and all I want to do is eat!

    Happy weekend ladies.

Good morning- on this clear crisp (5 degree) morning we have here in Melbourne.

I got my results....trisomy 21 was 1:5830 (for olivia it was 1:19) and trisomy 18 was 1:52500 (and was 1:32 with liv) So good results for me

Olivia does have a dose of Impetigo (thanks jen!!) and is on penicillan. Its apparently highly contageous...ooppsss shes been to day care all this week! Hopefully it will clear up soon and her face will start looking normal! She also has a partial umbilical hernia. I asked the dr last night coz her belly button all of the sudden became an outy over the past few weeks...since her gastro. I see the paed on Wednesday so will get him to look at it.

Hey Kel- thats so cute lil rubbing cream into your belly. Olivia stil pinches my nipples so no loving there!!! I would be packing darkies too if Olivia was climbing. She does on the odd occassion and hasnt had any falls. We have floor boards too, so i know the feeling. She actuallly fell outside on the concrete and she she was fine.

Hi to everyone- got to cut it short- moo's done a poo- again!!!

    love melissa

    Well hello there!!
How is everyone? As you can see my night is action packed - Beau is in bed just now and DH is cooking a duck salad so I am waiting for that....yummo!!
Mel- Hey thats good about Olivia, I mean you finding out what it is - Beau's cleared up straight away after the antibiotics and nothing since so....weird about her belly huh? Poor little lamb chop! Do you think she got the impetigo at day care? Beau got his when I was away for the weekend (but he was with Dh who is super careful) so I dont know how he got it??? Thats so great about your results! Prove em wrong girl!!! Good luck at he Paed.
Kel - One word NNNNNOOOOOOAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! I sooo sooo love that name! Have you seen The Notebook? If yes no further explination required! I know what you mean about matchy names - we cant have anything too euro I think as Beau and *insert name here like amelie* sounds a bit ****y!! Oh welcome to the workd of climbers! Gosh I went to see about a freelance job today and Baeu was climbing the book case! LOL! And my friend who I am doing the job for said "you can bring bub we are very family friendly' LOL!!!!!! He he he he!!! That would work!!! You poor thing having to look after all those rats while you are PG! Little naughty blighters like ours?
Von- OK I am googling shettlers method - Is it hard? I am lazy! Good on you for only having one wake up with James atm - would you try CC again now he is older? I dunno - I just want a little girl!!! I am a real girly girl so you know.....I want little dresses and skirts!!
Dis- Hey have a great time at the shower on Sunday - hope you get some down time this weekend
Kylie - Hi - What part of Sydney are you moving from? We are on the market atm and moving up the central coast - Welcome to BB - we are awesome!!!
Us - Umm we are good - I have had like a million chardonaays and vodkas since Beau went down and typing this as we have had a stressful clean up for viewing, me at a job , DH trying to do it on his own, me coming home and finishing and a grumpy Beau kind of arvo!!! But Beau is walking a lot on his own the last few days, not consistently but across the room now so it is only a matter of time I guess! regarding shots - i have posted on the main general discussion board about it as I am not sure if we are going to do Beaus MMR ones....I have doubts about it.....
Anyway Hi Kris and Kaz too - hope you are relaxing this Saturday night as I am about to do too.....
Big kiss to all the bubbas cheeks!

    Hi everyone,

Mel, yay that your results came back so good, that's excellent! And at least you know what's wrong with Olivia now. Poor little monkey with her hernia though, hopefully it will fix itself.
Yeah, she is a cutie pie at times...I was just thinking today after a particularly funny thing she did (though can't remember what it was now...) what I laughed at before she was here. She's such a character! And we have had a fall off the lounge too, onto a rug, with her bumping her head. I do NOT want a repeat performance! And it would be on the bare tiles if she fell off the toy box.

Jen, LOL @ your eventful night, mines just as exciting!! Sitting here listening to the tv and trawling the net for something to do. If I could drink, I'd come and join you....its been WAAAAAYYYY too long since I've had more than one! (About 3yrs I'd say...OMG!!!)
Where do I get a hubby who cooks like yours?? Duck salad, yuumumeeee! He always seems to be making you something absolutely delicious-sounding! Hope it was a yummo as it sounds. I haven't eaten dinner yet, will probably be vegemite or cheese toast again...gormet I know, but I like to live the high life, LOL!
Yeah, I like Noah too, though DH isn't too fussed. He doesn't dislike it, but isn't in love with it either. He suggested another name today too- Hunter. I think I like it! At least it isn't a top 10 name.
LOL at B climbing the bookcase. I could just imagine him racing around while you're trying to work, LOL!! I don't know if they'd be that family friendly, hehe!! Some people don't understand how full on it is to look after a 12mth old.
No most of the kids at work aren't just full of energy bundles of 'I can't sit still', they are true little sh*ts. We have two kids with severe autism in the room too. And most of them don't speak english very well. Their parents certainly don't either. So I can't tell their parents what little sh*ts their kids are! Sorry I don't mean to be so horrible, but well, I can't think of anything noice to say.
It's so hard to know what to do with immunisations huh? But it is also so easy to just go with the flow and do it cause its expected. I am petrified of something happening to Lil from her shots. We used to know a family who had their kid (now over 30) who had his 4yr shots and is now brain damaged. He reacted within hours of getting it done. It is scary. But then again you also don't know if your child will be unlucky enough to get the disease and have an adverse reaction to that too. It feels like your playing god to some extent huh?
Anywhoooo, I'm going to have my gormet dinner now...and dream about Jens duck salad

Yum Yum- duck salad. We had Stag chilli soup out of a tin- lovely. I am having a cruisy night, the boys are watching the footy and I am laying here on my king size bed surfing the net and drinking water!!! Have been feeling a bit dizzy today, so just taking it easy. Also my nipples are so sore, not a great thing when dh is up for a bit!!!

Olivias mouth is starting to look a bit better although I noticed shes itching it more. I'm not sure where she got it from, but more than likely its spread through the eczema on her face, as thats a bit crusty too. I noticed shes got eczema over her body now- she got her genes from me!!!

Well I have a drunk dh and bil standing here talking to me, so I'd better go!!! go Tigers!!!

    g'day again ladies,

von - its only cause I'm using the MCN that I've managed this far! terry flats still scare me

    Congrats kellie! OMG!

Mel - great news on the results, that's just brill.

Jen - I really want a little girl next too, but *shrugs*. We're just looking at my career path at the moment, as I really don't like where I am (been there too long!) and want to move on, but there's a policy at Telstra that you can't apply for a new position until you've been doing the current one for 2 years. Which means that I can't just apply willy-nilly. I have one application in and 2 resumes for possies that haven't been given ATF (authority to fill) and prolly won't until July. So if I do get offered this possie, then hopefully I'll know about the other ones more definately!

Pip's changed his sleeping patterns, he was only napping around 4pm for an hour, but this last week he's changed to a 2-3hour sleep just after lunch. Hopefully this means he'll start going to bed around 7pm or so, instead of the 9-10pm he usually does!

Jen - I also cheched out the heinz website, I don't see how ANYONE could collect that many tokens in the timeframe, unless they had two or more, and didn't' give them anything to eat but heinz!

Thanks to whoever reminded me about vaccs, he didn't get his 1yr one on his b/day cause he was ill, so that's a month overdue Anyhows, time for tea, tonight we're having lamb roast, and Pip's having chicken bolognese made into shepards' pie.

This is also the first week he's not had ANY formula! So now he's weaned onto cows milk! Way easier, and it does mean he's drinking more diluted juices and water I think ... Although a bit of constipation ... has anyone started peanuts or honey yet?

Tomorrow I'm going to smear some peanut paste on his arm and see if there's a reaction, then if there isn't, we'll try a little peanut paste in a few days time

    Have a great night all!

kaz good to hear from you again.

I wont try Olivia with penut butter yet, just coz I have allergies and she has eczema, so might just wait til shes past 2. Although in saying that she does eat foods that has traces of nuts and seems ok...unless thats triggering her eczema. Its grat to thinkout loud!!!!

her sores are clearing up which is great. And shes still sleeping much better, with only one wake up last night.

I have been feeling really dizzy since yesterday, is that a pg symptom??? I might go get my bp checked at the chemist.

I have to go clean Chat later

    Hi girls,

Mel, Glad to hear that Olivias mouth is getting better. I hope you are feeling ok today, I think a trip to the dr is a good idea. Dizzyness is a pg symptom, but you can never be too careful. You might have low bp or an ear infection or something.

Kaz, I hear you on your career path. I'm not enjoying my job at all and can't see me liking it when I go back next year, it's just too hard with my own kids being in a childcare centre. I still want something to do with kids, but not so full on, all day with them. I will have to start looking...maybe something completely different is the way to go??? Who knows! Good luck for you to get those possies you've applied for.
Yay that Pip hasn't had any formula, now you've got $20 bucks or so to spend on YOU!!!! Hehe, that's what I said I 'd do with it, but I am yet to see it, LOL!! And yep, Lil has had honey in foods, and the other day I gave her some on toast. She luuurrrved it! And she's had traces of nuts, and my DH has given her crusts of toast with peanut butter on it, though not alot on it, iykwim, just left overs. We have no allergies or anything in our family so I'm not terribly worried.

Lil is having a nanny day today and I am goin to clean this plae to with in an inch of its life!! It' been a while since it has been done properly. I think I'm starting to nest, LOL! Ok gotta go and get the monkey ready to go, have a great day girlies
