Hey Mel, yeah she's ok..not sure if I'd recommend her...I'm not quite sure what you can expect from a cleaner but she doesn't really dust everything and doesn't clean the arcatraves (sp?)...She's nice enough though and it is definitely great to have someone coming in cleaning while I play with the kids! Might be worth looking through an agency...I'm not sure if they cost that much more and may do a more thorough job....not sure...

Kris - with cleaning ladies, I think you really need to let them know your priorities. For my lady, I've given the bedroom high priority, with mopping the floors as a "must do".

We had a weird night where I had a huge tanty of Pip's to deal with. While he was ill, I let him eat whatever (bad mistake) and he reverted to drinking milk only. Now his tummy's paying the price - constipation. I wanted him to eat baked beans to get his little bowels working again, a bit of a flush out and an hour later, I won. Took him having a kicking, screaming, biting at me attempt for him to give up and eat - then he ate the entire tin! And it wasn't a teeny tiny tin either!!! Anyhows, it worked and today there were 3 pooey nappies Thankfully at CC so I didn't have to deal with them!

Kris - I like shopping with someone if they actually interact? DH may pay but in a bored, doesn't want to be there, doesn't actually listen or look or comment kind of way. Doh.

    How'd the kinder orientation go?

Mel - how's little R? Maybe it is tongue-tie ... or maybe not?

Anyhows - I should go to bed. Night all.

    Hello All.....
Well we just got back from playgroup xmas party, what an exhausting time! There were so so many kids and all the younger ones Beau pulls and sits on and the older ones head/chest butts and tries to hug to death - he made a 3yr old boy cry!! None of it is his fault, he just doesnt know better yet, but its hard cause he is as big as the 3yr olds!!!
I hope he sleeps now as long as he did yesterday, 3 and a half hours!!! Woah! It was awesome!
    xxx to everyone

    Hi!

Jen - Wow - sounds like a bit of chaos at the party! I'm sure he'll get the hang of being with other kids soon...Ooh I hope he has a big sleep for you as well!!

Kaz - Yeah, I think your right...the cleaners been this morning and I asked her to wipe down the arcatraves and she did...
Gross...I hate baked bean poos - LOL!
Ooh I don't like shopping with dh either for the same reason...also because he won't let me buy as much as when I'm on my own - LOL!

Louis' Kinder orientation was great!! The kinder is fantastic - the outside play area is so great - they have chickens and herb gardens and lots of play equipment...I'm very excited for him to go...it's only 1 arvo for 2 1/2 hours but he'll love it!

We're all good here...Ethans woken well and truly from his sleepy first weeks and is making up for it! Very unsettled and up usually once through the night for a couple of hours...I've been bringing him into bed with me cos otherwise I won't get any sleep! He's not liking his day sleeps either but he's having a good one now cos he's in the bouncer out in the loungeroom with all the noise...

Better go and get some washing out...it's a beautiful day here!!

am listening to olivia in her cot, screaming like a cat and kicking the walls, all because she doesnt want to go to sleep but is soooo tired....oh its just got quiet.... and rebecca is sleeping soundly in my arms coz she wont sleep anywhere else. b/f is still a night mare...oh and shes not tongue tied, we had it looked at coz olivia was. my nipples are stinging and my boobs are huge. during the night my top was soaking so needed a change....bed sheets could have been too but not at that time of night. was up for bec at 1 and 5am, both taking an hour to finish and up for olivia at 4am as dh didnt hear her!!!
Rebecca has the worst nappy rash and screams every time i change her. Its bleeding a bit too. I wash with cotton balls and luke warm water and have put on sudo cream, sigmacort, pawpaw, bepanthan.....what else!!! She poos with every fart and grunt. Poor kid.

Have had a crappy few days with unsettled bubs, no sleep during the day. Managed to get Olivia out of her pjs at 1030 this morning, me am still in mine!!!

Am having second thoughts about having xmas lunch at our place with adams family. Just think im not doing grea and dont need the extra pressure. Although my sil mentioned to me that she had to do it when her dd was only 2 weeks old....gees thanks for the support!!! Plus I wasnt around then anyway. So am going to get dh to ask his mum to have it at her place. Then my mum rings me last night and suggest that my side and adams side have it together. I dont know about that. i find that a bit strange...does anyone else spend xmas day with both sides of the family at one sitting?

Ok, just needed to get that out....might go sleep.

    Big hugs Mel...

You and Becca don't have thrush do you?? We went to the mchn on Mon and she said Ethan has it...I"m going to take him to the dr for a second opinion though as the medicine doesn't seem that great...
We don't seem to have any symptoms but she said it can be painful for bubs and can give them a sore bum as well...also if your nipples are sore..?? Probably isn't but just a thought...We use desitin cream from the chemist...works a treat on the boys...
Ethan poos all the time as well...can't wait until that settles down! LOL!
For sure you need to offload xmas!!! That's silly to put yourself under so much pressure and who cares if your SIL did it with a 2w old...you poor thing...The last thing I'd be wanting to do is host xmas with a newborn...
In regards to sharing xmas with both sides...our family does but only when it's out our house...so when I hold xmas I invite Michaels family, if my SIL does it she invites her family... etc...works out well and of course we all know each other well by now anyway...
Hope you manage to get a nap!! I can't have day naps so have been going to bed by 9-10pm every night! Luckily the boys let me sleep in until 8am this morning...god knows what Louis was doing in all that time - probably keeping Dylan occupied cos he was still in the cot...I'm very lucky that way that they keep each other happy! LOL!

    OK..Ethans waking...chat later!

Hi girls, we've had a shocking week here. Poor Ben had strawberry yoghurt on Sunday and we have been paying ever since See, he has been having strawberry jam and baby/toddler strawberry yoghurt so we thought he'd be alright with normal strawberry yoghurt. Didn't even really think about it to tell the truth. Apparantly there are more strawberries in normal strawberry yoghurt. We had a rash, vomiting for two days and the diahrea (sp?) is still going on Poor little guy has been so lethargic, all he's done is watch DVDs. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is driving me nuts Anyway, he's only had one day sleep in his big boy bed and chucks it when we try to put him in it any other time. We haven't pushed it since he's been so unwell, but next week is going to be a bit yuck.

He has just woken up from a 3.5hr nap and has eaten a whole tin of baked beans (must be the magic cure all huh Kaz? ) which is by far the most he's eaten all week so DH and I are thrilled. He seems to have really, finally turned a corner

Kaz, glad you and Pip are on the mend, and that you managed to avoid the three day care poos!

Kel, yay on Lil finally sleeping through!!! I hope you have had more of those nights since.

Kris, Your boys truly do sound gorgeous. I get the feeling that all three of them are going to be the best of friends growing up.

Mel, Geez you're having a rough time. I"m all for bfing, but sometimes the stress just isn't worth it. My sis had to give it up after two months after her third case of mastitis. Her and bubs were much happier after that. I think it's good that you've given yourself a deadline to get things sorted, as Jen said, much less stress that way.
Definitely get rid of Chrissy day! No way could I have Chrissy here and I don't even have a newborn!

Jen, sounds like the Chrissy party was a doozy! Beau sounds like he's a big boy!

Sorry it's short and sweet guys, but my time is severely limited (more so than normal!) right now. I've had some problems with the site too, I tried to log on twice earlier this week and got no love so hopefully whatever the problem was is fixed.

    Take care
