Hi!
Jen - How creative you are painting a mural - you'll have to put a piccy on Facebook!
Dis - Isn't it great how when we're having a rotten day our precious bubbas can turn it around in an instant??
Kaz - Wow at your dh becoming a sahd!! What a big move! Nup - I'm not going to Canberra!!
Mel - Aww sorry to hear about Olivia being so rough...Hope you get some pearls of wisdom! LOL - I made butter chicken last night!! Hope the girls get better soon...
Well....I'm feeling very nervous at the moment...I'm off the pill because it was making me bleed all the time and then we dtd on Sat stupidly in the heat of the moment - LOL - and I went and got a pap smear today and she said I looked like I just ovulated!! OMG - I'm so scared now...I'm thinking it would be very flukey to fall p/g AGAIN but am still nervous...have been very nauseus the last few days which I think is linked to my hormones when I'm ovulating (googled it - LOL) so now have to wait until I get af I suppose...I'm going to freak out if I'm p/g but it will be Michael's fault!! LOL! I'm sure it will all be fine...
Boys are well...all still have lingering coughs...Ethans still got a bit of an ear infection so has another course of antibiotics (which I hate!) but otherwise all is good! Having an early night I think because we had a big day out visiting today...
Chat later!
-
Oh Kris! You must be freaking out! Could have your own little footy team at this rate! Did you see that Oprah the other day when they are saying we are attracted to each others smell when the woman ovulates? Must be the reason LOL! When is the earliest you can test?????
Mel hope your guys are feeling better and your dinner was yummy - we had roast chicken last night and baked veges mmmm.....A mum I know put her son in a cold shower cause he wouldnt stop hurting his little brother (about the same age dif as yr girls) - the naughty step etc wouldnt work and she got so upset with it one day thats what she thought of! Worked though, even the threat of it later would stop him in his tracks! Hopefully it is a stage she will snap put of soon you poor thing.
Off to playgroup today, still sitting here with a cuppa in my pyjamas so better get a wriggle on....
-
Wow Kris...I would be nervous too! Although I must admit...I am having a little giggle thinking about you having another one...I reckon you'd be fine with 4, you do so well!
Jen have fun at playgroup. Am looking forward to getting back to mothers group when the girls are better. Poor Bec just sneezed and both nostrils wer so full of snot.....went down to her chin ( arent I a funny mumma....had to take a photo of it to send to dh!). Its was so funny.
Becs eyes are better, but her nose is not going so well. Shes not sleeping properly and having her bottle is hard becase shes so blocked up. I have given her nasal drops and put the vaporiser on but doesnt work. I would like to give her some dimmetap or demizan but dont know how much to give....so have to go to the drs to get the dosage...gggrrr. Just want to dry up the snot.
Olivia ran a temp all day yesterday and slept for a bit, she seems a little better today....just looked up and shes undressing herself....I cantkeep clothes on that kid! She didnt hurt Bec much yesterday, probably coz she wasnt well. I hope its a phase too. DH grandfather would do the cold water trick and apparently it worked. If I get to the point where nothing works, I will do it....actually nothing works! Got nothing to loose!
Well take care and have a great day:)
-
Hi ladies!
We're doing so much better today :) I put Jared to bed on a pillow last night and he slept for 6 hours and then another four and a half! I think the pillow will be staying. That's the best night's sleep he's had all week.
His virus is still giving us some grief, as is Ben's cold. The ABs seem to be working a bit for Jared though so hopefully by the start of next week he'll be a lot better.
DH stayed home from work last night. I needed some sleep and the way J has been going I didn't think I'd get it if I was on my own. Of course that's the night J decides to sleep  Oh well, it meant I got a nice sleep in this morning too when J was still asleep but Ben was awake :)
Kris, far out, I don't blame you for freaking out!!!
Mel, what a bugger about Olivia hurting Becka. Ben seems to have stopped pushing Jared, but I'll see if it lasts.
Jen, hope you had fun at playgroup. I can't wait til the boys are healthy again and we can get out of the house again. It's freezing here this arvo. The wind is a shocker and is apparantly going to last a few days.
Hungry boy... gotta go.
-
Hi!
LOL - I suppose I'll know in a week or 2! I guess I'll cope ok if it happens but I'm kind of just thinking it won't - it would have to be a full on fluke to fall p/g again so easily...time will tell - I'm trying not to think about it too much! LOL!
Jen - I hope you had a nice day at playgroup - I stayed in my pj's all day - LOL!
Mel - Yeah, 4 kids sounds ok, but 4 in 4 1/2 years????? omg...
Hope the kids are better soon...poor little things (and poor you!)
Dis - That's great the pillow helped! Hope the boys are better soon!
Kel - Hope you're well????
Well, Louis is mega sick - seems to have a temp and very runny nose and water eyes...off his food as well...poor little thing...seems like Dylan and Ethan are ok other than their lingering coughs so hopefully they don't get it as well - it really seems like EVERYONE is sick at the moment...Yucko!
I've had the laziest day...
Boys are in bed but Ethan is standing up at the end of the couch trying to pull all my folded washing off - I can't believe how quickly the last month has gone with him crawling and standing and cruising along the furniture - so crazy!! He's all of a sudden a big boy!!
Chat later!
-
Kris- hope Louis is much better today...think the girls are over the worst of it (not so much snot today). I dont know if I want another baby so soon...I can cope with the age gap of 19 months, but I reckon if I got pg now, I would be a basket case! I think I can wait another 3 or 4 months!! Yes I will....I got pg with Becca when Olivia was around 10.5 months, so another 3 months and then I will do it!
Jen, is your amnio next Wednesday? good luck hon. make sure you get plenty of rest and help. Dont lift anything coz it hurts. You'll be fine.
Kaz- I dont think I will make it to canberra....r u taking Pip?
-
Hi!
Glad to hear the girls are a bit better...Louis seems a little better today also...not quite as cranky - LOL - he slept well so I think that helped!
Yeah...I think it all depends on the baby sometimes - I wasn't worried about having 3 but Ethan was so demanding - screaming all the time and having to be carried constantly definitely took a toll but the boys coped really well!
I asked Louis yesterday if he'd like another baby and I expected him to say no way but he said yes - but he would like a girl...LOL! I told him we weren't having one but I was just interested in what he would say...he's so good though - such a little nurturer! Dylans having a few more issues as he has to learn to share toys with Ethan now as well! He's not rough but just takes Ethans toys off him...Lol. He'll get there eventually...
Dh is home today because of wet weather (he's a landscaper) so he's snoozing...I've got to go food shopping after he wakes up as we have NO food left in the house and then I'm hoping to head off later in the day and layby some toys and clothes (I can't believe all the winter stuff is nearly gone - I will never understand the seasons with clothes...) I made a toy short list last night and it didn't end up being very short - LOL!! It is shorter than last years though...LOL - Dh is checking it out and culling it before I leave...hehe
Do any of you have those plastic climbing frame things for the kids?? I was thinking I might get one for Ethan for his 1st b'day....he really doesn't need anything but I thought that would still be fun for all of them??
Chat later...

Hi ladies,
Woohoo, I'm back, lol! I had asked for a ban for a few days and I think they forgot about me, I couldn't get on for a week!
Ok I'll ty to catch up :)
Dis, sorry to hear Jared hasn't been well, I hope he's feeling better now.
I weighed myself the other day and I was horrified to see that I'm back up to 86kg. That's what I was the week after I had Liam. I had lost 5kg's from the begining of the year, so was down to 81kg. But I just couldn't break that 80kg barrier. I'm so depressed! I just can't seem to get my act together and do it this time. Ideally I want to get back to 65kg, which I was when we first started ttc 5yrs ago! (Wow, it seems like a life time ago, not just 5yrs). But for now under 80 would be great!
Don't worry about having to postpone, that's ok, it turned out being a busy week for me too anyhow, so it was probably better for me not to do it. But whenever you're feeling up to it, I am ready!
How sweet of Ben to say that to you when you were upset. I was upset and crying one day not long ago had Liam crawl up onto the bed for the first time by himself and give me a big sloppy open mouthed kiss. It just made me bawl even more, lol!
Liam sleeps better on a pillow too. He always looks so cosy on one.
Mel, congrats on your weightloss, you're going great guns, you'll be at your goal before you know it. Wanna share some will power with me??
Sorry to hear O is hurting R so much. Lil does with Liam, but I don't think as seriously as Olivia is with Bec. I don't have any advice for you though, but  I owuld say that it's just a phase, and I hope for you and Bec that it's a quick one!
Hope that the girls are on the mend.
Kris, congrats on your 'fun' run. I have never run that far in my life! And fun and run just don't go in my world! I hate running. I swim. I can swim for aaages...well I used to be able to, I'd probably die after a lap now. But when I'm not so fat and unfit, I can swim for ever! But run...I couldn't run 10 metres without having a heart attack, lol!
I finally worked up the courage and I spoke to DH today about helping me more and giving me more time out. I could feel the anger and resentment pouring off him afterwards and he did the 'no I'm not angry at you if you ask me but I'm not going to talk to you unless I have to or you talk to me first' thing. I didn't realise how anxious I was about talking to him. But it's done. Now I just have to make sure he follows through and that I do too.
Here's hoping that you don't have an oppsie bub. That's what Liam is...though we did want another one, just not so close as we had them! But it's all good now! And I'm sure if it happens, then it's meant to be and you will be fine :)
Jen, yeah, I do try to work on one room a day, plus do a load of washing and the dishes/cooking/kitchen. Most days I get the kitchen/cooking/kitchen done, and a load of washing on, but not folded or packed away, meaning it's sitting on the table outside the laundry calling my name and growing by the day til no more can fit on there and I HAVE to fold it or Ill lose a kid under it all! While I was banned from BB I got alot doen though! Just proves that I spend waaayy too much time on here. I just have to prioritise.
How's things going with bub? Did you recieve any test results back yet?
Kaz, yay that your DH is going to be a sahd! Mine would never do it. He gets cabin fever when he's home alone with the kids. He hangs out for me to get home after 4hrs work a day when he's watching the kids!
Good luck with your ttc.
Phew, I think that's about it!! Ok gotta go Li's stirring.....have a great weekend all :D
-
Kel - So good to hear from you!! I was starting to get worried!!
I'm so proud of you for chatting with your dh when you were so anxious about it!! I hope it all goes well...xo
We have a similar method for dealing with the house - although often a day goes by when I don't get anything done - my house is feral at the moment...I seem to keep on top of it for a few weeks and then it ends up like a bombs hit again...crazy!
Just ate a bounty bar while I'm browsing the net - not expecting my weight to have dropped this week - LOL!
Chat later..
-
LOL, sorry for worrying you with my absence Kris! Unfortunately it was due to nothing exciting, like a holiday. But thankyou for your concern :D
Well as for my chat with DH, it has gone in one ear and out the other again, I think. Today he has done nothing before going to work and he's about to walk out the door in about 30mins. It was my main point I made to him, that I would like him to do one chore a day when he works. Something small like the dishes or sweeping the floor. Just to contribute really. Then on the days he doesn't work he can really help me and do bigger stuff like mopping or cleaning the bath. But no, today he sat on his ar$e and watched me do the kitchen, dishes, wash/fold and pack away clothes, prepare lunch for everyone and get started on dinner for me and the kids. Well actually he watched tv or the computer, but the point is he sat and I worked. He doesn't even play with the kids. He did nothing. He did let me snooze with Lily for 40-ish mins, which was nice though more would have been great (but that was my fault cause I kept on thinking of all the stuff that still had to be done).
Grrrrr, what can I say to get through to this guy?????? I am just going to see where he goes from here. I'm going to write down what he does/doesn't do compared to me and show him in a week or so. Is that petty? I have talked and talked to him. That's obviously not working so I thought maybe some actual evidence that he does nothing might work. I don't want this to become a ***** fight, but I want to make him actually listen to me not just hear and nod his head and say all the right things then do whatever he usually does, like he always does  I don't know...
Ok enough whining (again). Sorry.
I'm going to finish tidying and cleaning while the kids are playing nicely together....
-
Hey Kel...I understand completely where your coming from...I have often had conversations like that with dh..
The only thing I can suggest is to not expect him to just do it...he may need a gently prod like - remember how we spoke the other day and you said you'd help out a bit more - I really need you to was the dishes/sweep the floor/whatever it is - before you go to work today...I would really appreciate that, it would be a big help to me...
Obviously you would word it however but you get the idea...
Now, I know people hate asking all the time and would prefer guys to just get up and do but in reality it's often not like that...and rather than sitting there steaming up because he's not doing something sometimes it's best to just ask...even if he sighs and makes out it's the worst thing in the world - at least it's getting done and your getting the help you need...if he doesn't want to do any of it what makes him think that you do??? LOL!
As for playing with the kids - thats a hard one - my dh is on daddy duty right now and the boys are amusing themselves in front of the tv while he's in another room on his computer - I know it's frustrating - sometimes just to suggest something for them to do rather than having him to think something up can be a help...
Good Luck!
-
Kris thankyou so much for all of your support, I really appreciate it :D
-
Hi ladies,
Posting after myself again..... lol, I have to do it now or I won't get to do it cause DH is working tonight. And I am aiming to get to bed before 11.30 tonight, so that means no puter til after things are done, or not at all! I am soo tired from going to bed so late lately. My own fault, I got used to DH being home (he had a 5 day gap in his roster, yay!) and having a sleep in or nana nap most days! Or at least his help at arsenic hour. He's still got tonight and tomorrow on night shift so I have to be patient and try to sleep early!
On a better note, Lily has been sleeping in her own bed all night for the past 3 nights! Yayyyyy, I've been waiting 2 yrs for this day, LOL! I'm hoping it's not just a 'thing' and will turn permanant! Liam's nights are up and down, last night we were up 4 times, night before only 2. It's never less than 2, well not yet anyway!
We will be putting Liam into his cot permanently in a few weeks when DH has 2 weeks off. NO more co sleeping. Not sure if I mentioned it. I think I did...but I'm so not looking forward to it. I hope it goes smoothly. I will miss my little man and his sweet breath in my face and warm snuggles every night :( But I miss DH too and his warm snuggles and our 'us' time....catch 22!
Kris, yeah, I hate to ask him all the time. He doesn't usually say anything, but it's the 'tone' in his look and attitude, iykwim? But I know this change will probably take time. Any change does, and maybe I don't realise how big a deal it is for him. To me it seems so simple and obvious that it needs to be done, should be done. But for him, I guess it's a big deal, especially from the silent tanty he had when I spoke to him, lol!
But today he did lots! He helped fold clothes, and there was about 4 baskets to do! Looked after the kids for a few hours while I went out to get a gift for a work friend's baby shower and a few groceries. I snuck in a coffee too :D. And he tidies the kids toys up too. He went to soccer for himself, and now he's getting ready for work. So I think it's going to be a slow change. One day at a time.
Ok as for the weight loss thing....another slow change. It seems so hard this time to get into gear. Iknow the things I am doing wrong, alot of the time its so mindless. Done without a thought until its too late. Like this morning i got a kitkat and ate it all before i thought about what i had done. I am making an effort to go for a walk every day, though have only been twice this week. I am trying to have only one serve of lunch, with more veggies than anything else (in a small bowl) and not to have dessert at work (usually just something like yogurt or custard, but it's stuff I don't need. And to drink 2 litres of water or green tea. I used to tdo this without thinking but now I have two other people to keep track of, I'm forgetting about me. I could tell you off the top of my head what Lily has eaten, but me....well I have to actually think about it. So after all of that (lol!) my weightloss will be slow. I need to get the right thinking happening before it will change though. One step forwards two steps back...
Ok gotta go, DH off to work...
-
Hello Ladeeeez...
Man how cold is it? I am sitting here with the throw rug on my legs....nanna alert!
Got a call to push back the amnio from 1:30 till 3:30 on Wednesday - the waiting is hard enough as it is! My mum is coming up on Wednesday to stay until I get the results on Friday...she is coming on her own so it will be nice to see her one on one at least.:D
Kel - Sounds like you had a better day with your DH yesterday and he helped you out a little bit. Its tough when you have high expectations of your house and how you keep it. I am the same and feel stressed and angry when the house is untidy.I guess we have to remember that our lives are different now and the house wont be perfect for a number of years to come! Look, I am the worst person to say this cause it bugs me too but dont let it get you down. Maybe when it is getting under your skin just keep on top of the main 3 things that need doing? Let some stuff go and get done occasionally? Does your DH ever comment on any of the work you do around the house or do you just do it automatically? Sounds like he never did anything at home before he was married as well, that stuffs us all up! Thats so awesome with Lily in her own bed, hope it is the start of something permament for you. You sound like you have the most amazing selfless connection with your kids and the way you speak of Liam in bed with you, you should focus on what an amazing mum you are. I think you will find a nice change with you and Dh once you have your bed back to you guys, however. Good luck with TTS.
Kris - Are you all shopped out or do you still have room for the Target toy sale? Any implantation pains? he he!! How are the boys? Is Louis better?
Dis- How is Jared feeling now? Have the ab's done the trick? Hope you guys are doing ok.
Mel- I think you are doing well to be TTC'ing now with 2 under 21/2!! Good luck! Yep Amnio wednesday.....
Ok I just ate the rest of the cooking chocolate for a slice Beau and I were making....glad Im not on this weight loss weigh in!
-
Hi!
Kel - Yeah at Lily sleeping in her own bed! Good luck with Liam too! Sounds like your dh is making an effort which is nice...baby steps! LOL!
Jen - How nice of your mum to come up and stay with you! I'm wishing you all the very best of luck!! xoxo
LOL - no not all shopped out - I only just went to the toy sales today and nearly everything I wanted was gone!! Decided Dh is going to build them a cubby and I really want a puppy so that will be the big things this year...got to be a bit more mindful of the budget...
No...I really don't feel p/g - I'm sure everything will be fine...will have to wait another week or so to find out anyway...
Well...boys are still sick...I think they just keep passing around to each other - they are always coughing on each other and hugging and giving kisses that it's no surprise really - LOL! Louis is on the mend a bit but seems to have gone to bed with an earache tonight so will prob have to take him to the dr's tomorrow...
Weekly Weigh in: 59.5kg (don't know how that happened - and after a roast dinner and ice-cream tonight I'm expecting to be back up to 60kg tomorrow! LOL!)
Chat later lovely ladies! xo
-
Hello all...a quick one from me coz Olivia is in fine form. I have been up since 5 am again...girls are sick still but happy. Coughing and keeping themselves awake. Back to the gp for a check up today if I can make an appointment.
Weekly weigh in is 73.7kgs...dunno what I was last week but it was about 74 i think!
-
Hi!
Mel - You're doing so great to be losing so much weight in the midst of sick kids!!! I hope they get better soon...
I had a shocker of a night last night..had Dylan in bed with me early in the night and then Ethan was up for about an hour and a half from midnight...grrr...I even had an early night because I had a headache...now I know why I stay up late most of the time!! LOL!
They all seem perky enough this morning but we'll see what the day brings...
-
Good morning ladies! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I went to the footy on Sunday and had a bit of a down day yesterday so just read and didn't post. Feeling much better today though.
First things first, I weighed 80.5kgs this morning, which I think is exactly the same as last week. Oh well at least I'm not gaining :)
Kris, don't you hate it when you go to bed and then have to get up to sick/grumpy kids in the middle of the night? So much worse than when you just stay up in the first place. Hope your day improves :)
Mel, hope the girls get better quickly. Olivia sounds like she's having a good day. Hope you don't have to wait long at the doctors if Liv is playing up.
Jen, Jared is doing much better thanks for asking. Still got a snotty nose, but hardly coughing at all now.
It will be nice to spend some time alone with your mum for a few days. Try to enjoy it.
It is bloody freezing isn't it? I hate Winter!
Kel, the boys are still both a bit snotty so I'm hoping we'll be able to meet up with you guys next week?
Well done on Lily in her bed!!!!
Us, well, we had a fabulous, fabulous, fabulous night! Jared slept from 10:30 until 6:30! Yes, EIGHT glorious hours! Better yet, I slept for eight hours as well! It is the first time in at least a year that I have slept for that long uninterrupted! I can feel the difference today too. :)
Ben has been really good lately. Seems that he got tired of "no" and pushing his brother. Now he sits down next to Jared and 'reads' his Thomas books to him  Very cute. Some of the stuff he comes out with still amazes me. He has this one Thomas truck, but you can't call it a truck, you have to call it a Vintage Sentinal Lorry! He got that out of one of his books. Crazy child.
J is going great too. He seems really interested in trying to crawl and can get up on his hands and knees. Quite a feat since he's almost 10kgs! I'm not ready for all that yet though, since he seems like he's going to be into everything. Ben didn't crawl until he was 9 months old, and even then, he didn't go climbing things or opening cupboards, he was such a laid-back bubba. I think Jared is going to try and make up for all of that  He still hasn't rolled over yet, but I blame that on me. I don't give him a lot of time on the floor lying down, since he can sit now and prefers that.
Okay, I'm gonna run and try to have some time on the Wii Fit while Ben's asleep and Jared is happy! Have a lovely day :)
-
HEy Jen, just wanted to wish you all the best today. Hope it all goes smoothly and you get plenty of rest. These next feew days are going to be an emotional rollercoaster...even more so than the past few weeks. Hang in there hun. Am thinking of you.
Girls are both on ABs for infection of chest (olivia) and chest and ear (bec). Another crud night but hopefully they get better soon and so does their sleep:)
-
Hi!
Good luck Jen!!
Dis - Yeah at getting a great nights sleep!!! LOL at Ben reading stories...it's so great to see them being good friends isn't it??? Wow - Jared maybe crawling sooner than you think - Dylan was always my boy that got into everything after Louis was very relaxed...took 10 x the discipline with Dylan as it did with Louis!!
Hope you had fun on wii fit - see, sometimes it much easier to get motivated when you've had a good nights sleep! don't be too hard on yourself while your in the midst of sleep deprivation...
Mel - Aww hope the girls are better soon...sounds like my house at the moment as well...I'm so over winter!!!!
As for us...had Ethan up until nearly 10.30pm last night - little bugger wouldn't go to sleep - and then he wanted to feed at 12am...then luckily he slept through until 8.30am..I've already put him back down cos he was so cranky...I'm hoping he's ear infection has cleared...might have to take him back to the drs...seem weird that the boys have never had one and then all of a sudden they're all getting them this year...must be superbugs - LOL!
Someone said with the sleeplessness though that Mon night was a full moon???? They reckon they can't sleep on a full moon either...very strange but worth taking a note for next time!!
My sister and niece and nephew came over for a visit yesterday which was nice - the kids loved having a play with them...It's a shock that they came all the way to see me (about an hours drive) as they're usually always too busy!!!
Having a quiet day today...I'm a bit tired and urghh so just going to chill out I think...need to get the kitchen cleaned though - it's feral!! LOL!
Chat later...
-
Today is the day - thanks for all the well wishes, I am very nervous. Cant go to the hospital for the results at 8:30am on Friday now as the appt today was pushed back they wont be ready in time, will get them over the phone after lunch on Friday
-
Jen, I've been thinking of you all morning. Good luck this afternoon.
I'm having a blah day today. Might have overdone it yesterday. Cleaned up a lot of the house yesterday, including our clutter surfaces (we have a lot - I'm hopeless), did the vacuuming as well as all the usual stuff, played on the Fit and then went shopping with my folks - even my dad! Don't think I've EVER been shopping with my dad in 32 years  Anyway, I had less than zero energy this morning and just as much patience. Poor Ben copped it when he was fooling around with his breakfast. I think he's feeling a bit flat today too. Jared is currently asleep in a pooey nappy - I'm an awful mother! It wasn't until after he'd fallen asleep that I smelt it and I wasn't waking him up for anything
I got a message from some girls in my mother's group (Ben's one) and we're getting together next week. We haven't met for so long, there are three new babies to meet now!!!
-
Hi!
Just a quick one from me - in the midst of cooking dinner..
Took the boys to the park this arvo which was so nice - we all went for a walk together which was nice...Poor Dylan is still so full of snot and was full on sneezing down to his chin! So gross. Ethan snoozed in the pram which was good as well!
Hmm...feeling very crampy today...am thinking af is on it's way...did a test yesterday and it was bfn so all is looking good however I just won't know yet!! Was thinking last night after having feral children up heaps that I don't know how I'd cope with another one...just can't wait for this next week to be over so I know either way - so I can be happy to move forward or so I can mentally prepare myself - LOL!
Jen - I hope everything went well yesterday and your results are great tomorrow! Thinking of you lots xoxoxoxoxox
Dis - I'm having lots of blah days at the moment!!! LOL! I find if we have a really busy day I need 1 or 2 days at home just to chill out!
Ok..better get dinner done...boys are hungry (and no wonder since they won't eat their lunch at the moment - driving me crazy)
Chat later!
-
Kris, Ben is going through this phase where he'll ask for something to eat, take a few bites and then ask for something else. Driving me bonkers! It took me a day or so to cotton on to what he was doing, but that game is now over. If he doesn't eat whatever he asked for first - bad luck, nothing else will be coming his way.
Jared seems to be entering a growth spurt too. Every hour and a half to two hourly feeds today. He's been great the past couple of nights, so I'm really hoping that I'm wrong and he's just making up for his feedless nights with gorging during the day. I gave him a bit of banana this morning and he loved it. We're starting him on solids soon, but he just really looked like he wanted the banana we were eating  It's funny how much more laid back I am with solids for J than I was with Ben
Jen, still got my fingers crossed for you for tomorrow :)
-
Hey Jen....thinking of you today.
oooh...I jumped on the scales and I am 73.0kgs...I got to stop standing on them. Lets hope I crack the 72kgs on Monday:) I have been making the most of this nice weather and walking.
Rebecca has developed croup so am going back to the drs now. I need to mortgage the house!
-
Hey All,
This might be a bit of "me" post ok?
Well, first things first, the test was AWFUL, much more confronting than what I even expected, the needle was in for so so so long and I had contractions while it was in so it was lots of tears needless to say. Been pretty crampy and sore after but just got the call through about an hour ago and all looks good!!! She said so far, no abnormalities and the results rarely change (is that right Mel?) but we will know 100% in the two weeks.
And..........................its a boy :D

Yeahhhh Jen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations - That's so great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you!!!! What a relief!!!! Sorry to hear that it was such a horrible procedure though....do you feel ok now????
Mel - Your doing so well!!! Woohoo!! Sorry to hear poor Becca's got croup...good luck at the dr's today...
Dis - I bet you he loved the banana!!! He's done so well to go this long without solids!!! My boys were all hungry at 4 months! LOL! Although Ethan is still feeding overnight - for comfort though more than anything...little cheeky...
Funniest thing today - after waking up at least 12 times overnight Dylan was sleep today - he was sitting at the dinner table for lunch and eating and I was on the phone for a minute and looked over and he'd put his arms up on the table and put his head down and fallen asleep!!!! He hasn't done that for so long...such a precious little monkey...he wasn't happy when I transferred him to bed but he's still asleep so all good...
Chat later!

WOOOOHOOOOOOO Jen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's brilliant news!!!!!!! Congratulations :D :D :D :D

Yay Jen! That is fantastic news!!!! I honestly don't know how you went through the test, you are so brave (and you too Mel). I told DH at the NT scans for both my boys that there was no way I could face that kind of test.
I'm so happy that all is well for your new little man!!!
We just got back from my SILs where Ben ran riot with my nephew. Haven't got a thing done today since we haven't been home, so I'm off to find something to cook for dinner and to fold the laundry...

Thats fantastic news Jen...yep the FISH test tests for the main genetic abnormalities, like Downs, T13 and T18, so it should be good news in 2 weeks. Can I say though that the next 2 weeks are also worrying, until you get the 100%. You have done really well though. Its a hard test to do both physically and mentally and NOTHING ever prepares you for it.
Congrats that youre having a boy. Well done again:)
Rebecca has croup....shes on prednisolone but shes happy enpugh. Well am on my own tonight as dh is working late, so will chat soon,

Hiya girlies,
Sorry I haven't been around, it's been a long busy week!! Lily has been pretty sick her fever has only just come down today since thursday. My poor little bear :( . Liam has just been a little ****, though today he has been really good. The only thing I can put it down to is teething but I can't see any bumpy gums or redness?? I thought he'd have more teeth by now, he's still only got 4, Lily had heaps by now! Oh well...he'll get there.
I also worked two full days this week. And I am sooo buggered. DH only has only had 1 full day off in 10, as well as Lily being sick and Liam just being Liam and working extra hours...well, it's been a looong week! And I'm glad it's over :) DH is off for 4 days now, so I will get a rest, yay!
Ok gotta go, Li's stirring.....

Hi!
Well, I'm not p/g!! Af arrived yesterday!...what a relief!! Back on a new pill now so hopefully we won't be in that situation again...it's the pill I used after having Louis & Dylan so hopefully I won't have any problems with it...
Mel - Sorry to hear that Rebecca has croup...poor little things - I have been to the hospital with Louis and Dylan with it and it's not nice at all...very scary...
Kel - Sorry to hear you've had such a busy week - make sure you get some chill out time over the next four days so you can relax!!
As for us...we had a nice weekend...I felt like I've been on hold the last week waiting for af so now feel like I'm ready to get going again...
Boys are well - finally seem to be on the mend although I'm taking them all back to the dr's on Tuesday to get checked over just to be sure...
Ethan is crawling around everywhere and getting into everything! Dylan was feral today but has been really good lately...such a funny little boy...
Louis is good too...he's right into using the computer at the moment and wants to write and spell out words - he's such a clever little thing!!
Ok..must put some washing away and go to bed!! Chat later!

Evening all .... haven't weighed myself, or been on here much, work's really busy.
Jen - congrats on your little man soon to come!
Well DH is taking 5 weeks to do major house work (like give Pip a bedroom!) and then he'll drop down to 2 days/week in CC.
So tired, and DH & I fell asleep early on the fertile nights - no productive :sperm: here!
OMG what is it with the tanties? DH's way of dealing with them is to yell at DS (yeah that's going to work!) and my way is to get him to breath in & out slowly until he calms down.
Anyhows, hope to drop in here more often :(

Everyone sounds so busy. Well after a couple of weeks of being good and eating well, this weekend has been a shemozzel (sp?) and I am still what I was last week, but its good that I didnt gain either. So back on the wagon for me. The girls are much better now, still a bit snotty but becs is probably related to the fact she has cut her first tooth:)
DH is home today and my sister is coming to take some family photos...well thats if she turns up on time (shes always late) and dh doesnt start "fixing" his dirt bike!!! I cant win. Maybe I will do what he did yesterday...he went out for a hair cut and came back 2 hours later after having a massage and buying jeans and shirts as well! Oh the life!
Hope everyone is well.

Hi girls, just a quick one ~ I just don't have much time right now.
We are all going really well. The boys slept at the same time today so I got my first daytime nap in months and months! I really needed it too.
We met up with the girls from Ben's mother's group yesterday and it was great. I think Ben is starting to struggle a bit socially though so I think I might have to try and get him into daycare somewhere. I don't think we can afford Montessori pre school which is really sad, so it will just be normal day care. I have no idea how to even start looking for one though - any advice?
Jared has just started on solids and it's like a fish to water. He loves it. He's already having breakfast and dinner. I'll start him on lunch in a few days. I think he's hit a growth spurt though and the last couple of nights have had a couple of extra feeds ~ hence my need for a nap today!
Okay, gotta run, that nap took up a lot of precious time today!

Naps are worth their weight in gold!
Mel - I hear ya! I've been doing Wii Fit and just finished my third day in a row.
After missing 2 weeks I was up 1 kg. Then down 300g. now up 1.3kg (in one day!) go figure?
Pip is so cute at the moment, although the CC just saw his first tanty! Monday night he came out to kiss me night-night, then kissed the dogs night-night (yes, on their noses - gross!) and the cats too ... then kissed his entire collection of "in the night garden" frigde magnets night-night!
Last night he finished his yogo for dessert, and held it down for the dog to clean ... guess he's seen me do that one time too many!
TTFN!
