Yes it is quiet, where is everyone???
We have been out a couple times this week & only getting home very late, this makes for a very tired me as Charlie is still waking several times a night to feed. Oh how I wish he'd sleep through. I'm so knackered I've opted to stay home tonight to get to bed early whilst DH goes to the local football GF. Doesn't bother me, Charlie's missed his routine a bit this week so prob a good idea.
He's gone back to 40min sleep cycles during the day, so he's having 3 sleeps a day & it's a little annoying as I just start something & he's up again LOL I wish he just take a 2hr nap!!!

Hey Deb, why were you told to not give the cereals off the shelf? Just wondering as our CHN is away & I can't ask her so I've just been going by my baby book & it says to start with these? Though thanks to Adele I'm looking at sugar etc now....thanks heaps I hadn't even thought about it. I will be spending the week making & freezing stuff. Just need to get myself some more ice cub trays.

Ok I better dash & have a quick power nap myself. Since the 40min sleep cycles have kicked in I'm not getting anything done!!! Washing has taken me all week, ahhhhh.

    Hope you are all well.

Hey Erin, she suggested avoiding those cereals because of the sugar content. i guess the idea is you start with things like vegies as they are nutritious. Fruit is sweet and you know the kids will love them so they can safely be introduced a bit later.
Having said that, I am certain I started Al with a Farax type thing and he is fine.
Matt has been eating his carrot/potato/breastmilk mash for the last 3 days. Yesterday he chucked most of it up as some of it must have gone down the wrong way! He did much better with it tonight and is opening his mouth wide and really trying to process it. His poo has begun to change too, so its going in.
Its a bugger when they wake after 45 minutes when you want them to do a longer sleep. I feel like I'm always behind with the housework and just getting things done at all is challenging! eg my 2 yr old missed his midday sleep today so he has been hanging around and is overtired now..and my DH has warned me he wants some action tonight (lol) the days aren't long enough to get around to all the jobs one must do!!!!!!!!

Oh wow, we are quiet again aren't we!

Well we've had an ok few days, still struggling with teething, but considering all four of her incisor(sp?) teeth are looking very swollen and sore, she's been pretty good. Sleeping wise she's stiil been waking 2-3 or so times a night, though last night it was only once and it was a 6.30 wake up- woohooo! She's also had an hour long sleep this morning after going back to 20-30 min sleeps in the day time, so maybe, just maybe were getting back on track ( please, oh please let it be sooo!).
We had a quiet weekend, just going to watch a friend play his grand final soccer match (he lost) and going to visit some friends and family.

Melissa, lucky you going to the snow. I'd love to go on another snow trip....the last time I went I was 17! So over 10yrs ago now...OMG I feel so old, hehe! Hope you have fun!

Erin I know how you feel with the sleeping. They must be going through some sort of growth spurt? I hope they get over it soon. I have noticed that Lily seems alot more alert and curious in the past few days, so maybe that is what's going on. I have a pile of washing (washed and folded!) on my lounge which has been there for a few days now. It seems to have a life of it's own, it just won't shrink no matter how much I try to put it all away! When he's home,I will have to get DH to look after Lily and do it all once and for all!

Deb, the day just isn't long enough is it, though I think even if it was 30hrs I still wouldn't have enough time to do what I should! Hehehe!!! Lily is just too cute and distracting for me to concerntrate on doing mundane things like putting away washing!

    Hello All,
Wow I thought it would take ages to read thru the posts but hardly anyone has been in!!
My excuse is I worked on Friday (7am til 6pm - woah!) and we had houseguests with 2 kids included over the weekend....god you forget how much noise 7 and 9 year olds make until you have just put bubba down!
Beau and I just go back from a trip into Newtown - he was an angel the whole time in his baby bjorn - he loves facing outwards now - except he had a huge spew all over the bank's floor!! i am trying to seriously budget now I am only working once a week but we still came home with a cute music box with toy soldiers on the top!
Deb - no the only problem is it kills my back feeding him on the floor and bending down to him - thank god the last few days have been better - have Mattias' sleeps changed since he has been eating solids?
Kel - Im hearing you with the cat naps - I have 3 baskets of washing on constant rotation! Good on you for going to the gym - I have mad 'breastfeeders sweet tooth' (I always did who am I kidding?)
Mel - so glad Olivia is enjoying harness free time!
Erin - you and charlie have been social havent you?
Ok gotta go the cherub is up!
    xxx

    Hello again,

I just HAD to come and tell someone....Lily has figured out how to blow raspberries....It is sooo cute. I have just spent the last hour sitting on the floor in front of her and we were giggling at each other blowing raspberries! I got it on my mobile (unfortunately I don't have a video camera). These are the moments that make all of those hard times so bearable!!

Jen - Matt's sleeping isn't any different since we introduced solids 5 days ago now. But he isn't really eating very much as yet. So we will wait and see. He's routinely waking for a feed about 2 times a night. Onya Beau for spewing on the bank floor lol whoops!

Kellie - Cute that Lily is blowing raspberries! Matt always has a giggle whenever I do them on him. I have a pile of washing that seems to have its own life as well. At least yours is folded! I thought it was all done, and I just looked over and no, theres more.
