    Hey first again!
God dramas around here....on tuesday I MELTED my breast pump in a saucepan! I boil it after I use it as I cant put the rubbery cone bit in the microwave sterilizer...I was in with Beau for ages in his room - came back and it was melted! I despereatly rang the chemist and rushed over there not wanting to put $300 on my credit card for a new one btu she rang Medela and they will send a new part so she gave me one out of the box! $40 how nice is that?
Beau has been pretty grumpy of late so i think his little teeth might be pushing down perhaps...DH settled him last night as I was still at work and he said he nearly chewed his fist off - he has some red marks on his chin this morning which are strange?....its my birthday today so I hope he is ok and gives me some peace as I have a sore throat too! Drama queen!
Oh well hope everyone is doing ok
    big kisses to bubbas

Happy Birthday Jen, hope you have a great day and your throat gets better soon.
Well, i had a crappy day yesterday after af arrived, sore head, short temper... and a very grizzly, clingy moo. I could hardly put her down all day, coz she just cried and my head hurt. So when she finally went down at 930, i fell asleep in my bed fully clothed. She woke at 130am for a feed, then awake at 730am. We just let her lay in her cot and yabber, so when i finally got to her, she had pooed all through her clothes, onto her harness, up her back.... and it was bath time!!!!!
Adams off tomorrow to the snow, only for 3 nights now coz he has ice hockey finals starting on Monday night. I am going to attempt to do the Lemon detox while he is away, to kick start some weight loss. My leg master is going well, using muscles i havent used for a very long time!!!!
Ok, better go change some cot sheets and do some other housework.....
    Take care

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEN!!

Hi All. Only gonna be a short one because I've 'wasted' half of Hazel's sleep reading all the new posts in here!

We have had a very, very busy week. I have worked every afternoon (and again today) and have been out every morning except today. Thankfully next week will be a bit calmer! I am sooo looking forward to having the whole day to do nothing (except some housework lol)

Little girl is as beautiful and happy as ever allthough she has decided to wake up at 12 the last few nights, but I'm putting that down to the 19 week storm......hopefully we'll be back on track soon.

    Tiffanny- Welcome!

Got to go, Hazel is awake and I've got to get organised to leave at 2.

Happy Birthday Jen . Medela must have known it was your birthday, and sent you a new breastpump part as a pressie!

Melissa - oh no @ all the poo!! I had a poo-splosion not too long ago, only Jambin was in the car at the time and I didn't realise he'd poohed everywhere. I picked him up out of the carseat, and in the process, managed to smear the front of myself with poo! I was going to see the lactation consultant too - very hard to concentate on breastfeeding when poo is all you can smell lol. What's the lemon detox? (better go read the previous thread to see if you've mentioned in it there).

Christyb - sounds like things have been slightly hectic for you! I know what you mean about 'wasting' Hazel's sleep. I often think that too - and I can't quite figure out whether having some time to myself is wasting his sleep, or if doing a load of laundry is wasting it lol.

Well, today AF returned for the first time since I had Jambin. I stopped breastfeeding about 6 weeks ago, so I was expecting her to turn up sometime soon.

We had mother's group at my house today - lots of fun - and I was surprised that we managed to fit 8 mothers and babies in my tiny lounge room. We had a few tears, but lots of smiles too.

My gorgeous little boy has had 3 naps today!!! This is practically unheard of for him, so I'm very excited. I think it helps when we spend all day at home (which happens very rarely), because he can get into a better groove, rather than falling asleep in the car, and then having me wake him up prematurely to get him out of the car when we arrive at our destination.

I'm embarking on a cloth-nappy-sewing expedition with a fellow BB-er at the moment. I've been using cloth nappies since Jambin was born, but this will be my first attempt at sewing my own. They going to be so cute - blue and green, with polar fleece on the outside, and flannelette with hippos and flowers on the inside.

Well, must go - see if I can read a few other threads while Jambin is still asleep.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

    Hi!

Jen - Happy Birthday!! You duffa melting your breast pump!! I've melted dummies before - was boiling them to sterilise and forgot!!! Hope you had a great day and hope you get some sleep tonight.

Melissa - Oh what a nice mess to wake up to! LOL. Hope you're feeling a bit better..isn't it crazy how those hormones affect us so much.

Christy - Wow you sound super busy!! Oooh I forgot about the 19 weeks storm...that would explain a few things for us too!

Cherie - Bugger at af returning!! Glad you had a fun mothers group. Wow aren't you clever sewing nappies!!! Yeah at Jambin having 3 naps!

K - better get myself sorted and try and get some sleep!! We had a bad night last night...He keeps waking up and wanting to play which is just not going to happen!!! GRRR! Hopefully tonights a bit better but I won't hold my breath...

Kristie - isn't it a bummer when they decide that nighttime is playtime lol. I usually say to Jambin "it's not playtime darling, it's sleepytime' and he just grins at me and keeps playing. Frustrating, but makes my heart melt a little!!

    Hi!

Well last night was 2 feeds as well...1.50 and 5.30am....GRRR! I can't believe how tired it makes me to go back to 2 feeds....

Cherie - Yeah - I can see the cuteness there but often only in hindsight! LOL!! I'm so bad through the night - all of my patience disappears - I can basically handle anything through the day but nighttime I'm terrible....

Danni - Seems like everyones copping it at the moment!! LOL! I wouldn't worry about your holiday and his routine! Just enjoy yourself! I'm very jealous - have a great time!!

Hope everyone else got a good sleep!!!

    Good morning Ladies!!

Well I am feeling much better today thank goodness.I am such a sook when I'm sick!
I just watched Lily put herself to sleep in her cot (!!) and my heart just melted, she's just toooooo cute, hehe (biased, no not me... ). Her eyes just got heavier and heavier and she went off so peacefully. I brought one of those light show thingys and she loves it. She is slowly learning to go to sleep with it b herself. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

Jen, HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY! I hope you had a great day and got spoilt. Silly you melting your breast pump! I have almost done it, so I can't talk. I'm just lucky that my place is so small and I smelt it before it actually did melt!
We are still having teething issues here too. Lils teeth just won't pop out. I thought one had the other day but I felt again yesterday and it was gone....can they go back into the gums? I think they do get rashes and pimply things when they teeth. Lily does anyway, she gets red, red cheeks and little bumps on them and she also gets a rash around her mouth I think from it being wet all the time from her gnawing her fist and fingers.

Melissa, I've been getting really grumpy when af is due too, even more than I used to. It's horrible. I think Lily feels it too and gets really clingy and is like a velcro baby on me. yuck with the poo....we've had a few of those.
Good luck with your weight loss ventures...I've been trying but unfortunately no luck yet. The gym has taken a back seat this week with me being sick. And I had some comfort chocolate last night...I will have to try harder!

Cherie, so good to hear from you! I am glad to hear that Jambin is doing so well. Good luck with making some nappies, you clever lady!

Kristie, It sucks when they decide it's party time at midnight huh? You're just so tired and all they want to do is smile and charm your pants off! Good luck with his sleeps.

Danni, I can sympathise on the early wake ups. Lily wakes at 5-5.30 some mornings. She's starting to decide 6-7 is a better time now, but there a still a few early ones here and there, just to keep me on my toes. Have fun on your long weekend! I wish we could get away to Brissy!

Hello to everyone else I have missed I hope your bubbas are all being angels for you!

Hey ho... I am alone, Adam left very early to go to the snow and boy do I miss him. Especially when Olivia has been grizzly all day and doesnt want to play, just wants to be held. Her head is hot, but the temp thing says 36. Shes so cranky I gave her some panadol, but it hasnt done much. Well, grizzle guts is crying. I need Adam
And to top it off Ive been doing this lemon detox diet today and all you have is this concoction and drink it. I hate it, I just want to eat chocolate and have a chicken parma or something.
Anyway , got to run, have a great weekend
    Love Melissa

WooHoo on Charlie sleeping through Erin!!! Hopefully it continues, and next time you can sleep through too. It's great when you finally get a few hours to yourself in the evenings too.

Melissa - It is hard doing it by yourself. Gareth went away for 3 days recently and I was so exhausted by the time he arrived back home. I coped better than I expected to, but it was still really hard not having someone to hand the baby to at the end of the day when you've reached the end of your tether. It gave me such an appreciation for what an amazing job single mothers do - they must have nerves of steel! I hope Olivia has a better day today, and you can have some fun together.

Kellie - I think teeth can pop out and then go back into the gums. Jovie, Christy's bub, had the same thing happen to her - I think hers popped through and went back in again a couple of times. Must be painful for the poor little mites.

Jambin has had a cold for the past 2 days - runny nose, streaming eyes etc .. but he has been such a brave boy. He hasn't been grizzly at all - just super snuggly and wanting to be held close against my chest all day, whereas he usually wants to be held in my lap with lots of room to move around. His first tooth popped through this morning, so I'm wondering if it was a true cold, or maybe just teething instead.

Thanks Cherie, yes I did have a much better day today. I think she is starting to teeth...her bottom gum is red, shes sticking her fist in her mouth and chomping, there's a little more dribble and shes clingy. I assume thats the start of it!!!! Well I stopped my detox...couldnt handle not eating food, so am just going to have to do more exercise and eat better! Today was such a lovely day, Olivia and I did a bit of shopping and finally got the vegi garden ready. I have so far planted tomatoes and cauliflower. We still have strawberries and capsicum from last season, so all I need to do now is the carrots and pumkin, thats all the room I'll have. Tomorrows going to be good again, so i'll finish off in the garden, clean the rest of the house and go and stay at mums for the night.
Congrats Erin that Charlie slept for you. Shame you didnt get a good sleep, although it will come. I remember Olivias first sleep through and I kept waking up every few hours, expecting her to be awake. Hope it keeps happening for you.
Ok, think I will take the opportunity to go to bed early, Olivia is asleep, we had an hour long bath together and she didnt stop moving, so shes probably very tired
    Have a good sleep,
    Love Melissa

Ok, 2 posts in a row, either its quiet in here or I have nothing to do!!!!
Wow, i just realised that I have done ALL the housework I need to do (except the dusting on some things...I hate dusting) and its so much easier to do it when Adams not around (is that bad to say out loud?) But hes coming home tomorrow, how exciting I did a bit more gardening today and cleaned the bathroom. Yay, now I am going to my mums, but i wont stay there tonight, am happy to have the bed to myself for one more night!
Hope everyone is enjoying there weekend.
    love melissa

    HI girls,
Been a bit AWOL the last few days. Phoebe has been having a few moments- more like full on tantrums but I think it is just her gums as she is drooling heaps and has been running a mild temp and her fingers and fists have not left her mouth for a mere second!

On a good note though she has found her feet lol I bought some socks with butterflys attached to the tops and they rattle so when she is sitting up they are the first thing she goes for.

Hehe DP Steve had a taste of what I go through every night lastnight as he was the one up and down to her when she wanted her dum. Needless to say he was absolutely shattered this morning and slept in til 10am but I said to him to just think about how he'd feel if he had to get up and stay up when she woke this morning.

Hope all mums and bubs are well.
