MM - the other great thing is how fast they heal at this age! Pretty amazing to see how much their skin changes from day to day.

Thanks Kiwigirl, am feeling a bit better today , still verge tears when ever I talk about it, but getting things under control, going out to get Fengreek, and going to make lactation cookies as soon as I can get the ingredients!

    Thanks CM4E

Boobie milk is great for healing scratches etc, Nakita has a bad habit of scratching and grabbing her face (unless I have one of those suits with the little fold down hands), but we put a bit of BM on the scratches and they heal very quickly!!!

Squidipa - that is cheap, Rachel ours is a bit like yours except for one over summer - they hadn't checked the meter and were estimating for ages too, that hurt

MM ~ I HAD contemplated hiking up my full length, cathedral length train and popping out a boob, but, for the sake of the oldies.....LOL. It's going to be an effort to BF during the reception anyway, as my dress is a tight bodice that my girls are going to have to undo almost completely before I can get the milk machines out for Seven! I am going to be investing in a nursing cover that I can use so im not flashing everyone!!!
Oh, and I've tried to 'force' the dummy. She spits it further than I could throw it!! ROFL!! Mental Note - get dummy spit on video!

SquidPea ~I don't know how I do hrly feeds either, but, because shes so settled in between, I just plonk her in her sling and go about my business. Our last bill was $370 but we are electricity hogs!

I am so excited - I am starting my Wedding Planner course through TAFE in November! Woo! Anyone need a wedding planned? LOL

Haha Kell! My friend went to a wedding (wasn't the bride) and said she had to watch that her boobs didn't get too massively full as she started popping out the dress from not feeding for a while!

What kind of sling do you have? I have a Peanut Shell one and Eli loves it but I haven't used it heaps.. and he's getting so heavy lol!

    Hi guys

Sorry, haven't been in for a while - been a couple of rough days here with DS - not sure what is up with him but he sure isn't the happiest chappy!!!! Constant whinging really gets me down too - and i start yelling at the poor little bugger...

DD is being a perfect baby - well as perfect as mine get.. lol... she wakes up once for a feed during the night and is getting easier to put back to sleep (thank god!!!) Still don't know how much she weighs cos I couldn't get a clinic appointment this week - have to do it next week.

Squidipa - are you still interested in meeting up tomorrow? I've been in the car two days in a row, so not sure I want to travel very far!!!

Vic - keep your chin up honey - things can only get better!!!!

MM - I'm glad he is getting better - poor little thing!!!

Hi to everyone else - trying to keep it short while DS is watching Elmo on DVD - should really get my butt in the kitchen and clean up cos I haven't been able to do anything these last few days.....

KiwiGirl ~ I have a peanut shell too and Seven absolutely adores it! She loves it and we are using it on a daily basis, whenever I pop out to the shops, when she is unsettled but doesn't want to feed (which is rare), sometimes we even 'wear' her to sleep. So easy! She prefers to be upright than lying down but it is so good it supports her head. I love it.

Thanks Mel Decided to have an identity change

We have a Baby Bjorn Synergy and Nakita loves it she nearly always falls asleep in it.

LOL Kell, I'd think it is going to be tricky enough feeding in your dress when you are not at the reception!!! My wedding dress was similar, not sure how I would have gone, but then again I lost 1 1/2 inches around my body the week of the wedding so had a little bit of room to move!!!

So I have been on the hunt for ways to boost my supply!!!

I am now drinking a litre of milk with half a cup of Aktavite in it at day (two 500ml batches), went to buy some fenugreek but no one had it by itself so will have to see what I find out today. My motilium is back up to one a day - I would love to increase it, but I don't have a lot left, and will need to get a new prescription next week.

GRRR Nakita has something in for my left boob, she bit it so hard at 2am feed that I couldn't feed from it, OMG, the pain was bad, at least she didn't crack it again (she did that a few times in the early days) so it is just bruised, so I have decided to use the nipple shield on that boob until it feels better.

Well I have to run, have a shower, another feed for little miss then head to the office if I have time, then we are off to the WCH for Premmie Playgroup - yay - I hope she doesn't do another "power poo" this week!! Then back to the office afterwards for a meeting.

Oh and I don't like percentile charts!!! Based on Nakita's corrected age she is in the 3rd percentile, if she hasn't put on weight by next week she will be in the 1st percentile, but I am pretty certain with all this feeding that she will have put on weight. No point even looking at her actual age as she doesn't even land on the chart!!! At least he height and HC are really good on then though!!

*EDIT* Squidipa, I had my pap smear at my checkup at 8 weeks - and yay all clear!!

Have a great day, sorry for not much in the way of personals.

Sheesh, I don't know what we do around here!! (Besides not have gas ) Ours is about $600 a quarter over winter and about $400 a quarter over summer!!

Boobie milk is great for healing scratches etc, Nakita has a bad habit of scratching and grabbing her face (unless I have one of those suits with the little fold down hands), but we put a bit of BM on the scratches and they heal very quickly!!!
I'll have to remember that, cause I'm trimming Veygas's nails every 2-3 days to stop him from scratching ... he doesn't like his hand being covered, with mittens or those little fold down thingy's on the suits!!

Oh, and I've tried to 'force' the dummy. She spits it further than I could throw it!! ROFL!! Mental Note - get dummy spit on video!
LOL! That would be a sight to see!!
Veygas gets his thumb between his mouth and the dummy and flicks it! My third used to love the dummy, except that he'd have heaps of them hidden all over the house - we could never find one and ended up buying about 10 of them!!! He still has a dummy to go to sleep though

I am so excited - I am starting my Wedding Planner course through TAFE in November! Woo! Anyone need a wedding planned? LOL
Wow, that sounds good!! A wedding is in our 5 year plan, but so is moving ... Who knows what else may crop up between now and then?! lol!

Constant whinging really gets me down too - and i start yelling at the poor little bugger...
Wow, Mel! For a second, I thought we had another new mum in our group!! Ah well, a change is as good as a holiday (or so they say!)
My 2.5 yo has been a bit like that too, and stubborn to boot!! I'm glad I'm not the only one who loses it sometimes and yells at their kids!! But I always feel so bad straight away, like I should be able to control it, but they really can push your buttons, hey?

Just a quick one from me today, have a 'sticky on me' baby today. Little horror was up ALL night last night and boy was I over it! Argh, she's lucky she's cute!!!
On top of that she's started chucking at every feed. I only just bathed her and now both our clothes are covered in vomit. I don't have many clothes that are BF friendly as it is and I run out very quickly through the course of a day!

Squidpea ~ I declined my pap smear while pregnant. It is safe to have it from your 6 week check onwards. I doubt I will be getting mine done next week though because I am still very lightly bleeding. Grr @ my body.

Beema ~ Ouch at your nipple! Have you got any Lansinoh? Good stuff that! Might help ease the situation. Safe for babies too as it is pure Lanolin. I have just ordered a Hooter Hider and its going to make BFing at the wedding a lot easier! I have my dress fitting tomorrow so will see what i can do to make it easier - if anything can be done.
Oh, and as for percentile charts - I have a bit of inside info! LOL. We use them at work and they are based on weight and growth for formula fed babies. BF babies and Premature babies won't ever look 'right' on those charts as they arent directed at them. I think thats why I comp fed my DS all those years ago, because the health nurse said he wasn't plotting right on the graph! I hope she has put on some weight to ease your mind though!

MM ~ You want some help with that wedding in 5 yrs? LOL. Life has strange ways of putting non essential things on the back burner doesn't it?

CM4E - I think they are ALL lucky they are so cute - even as they get older (my DP is constantly telling our 2.5yo he's lucky he's cute - they are harder to stay mad at!! )

How long does your course go for? Are you going to get into wedding planning full/part time? Sounds like fun!! I'd love help, except that the difference in states might cause a wee problemo!

    hello all!
Well we had a great night here last night.... I went to bed about 10 cause I wasn't feeling great and the Bear gave DD her last feed at about 11, and she slept through until 5am! And then, I fed her for five minutes and she fell back to sleep and wouldn't wake up to finish her feed.... I even changed her nappy but no she stayed asleep and didn't wake up until nearly 8! So that was great probably the longest uninterrupted sleep I've had since she left the NICU.
This morning had my 6 week check with the OB. All fine apart from the fact (*warning possible TMI*) that I've got a recurring cyst that has flared up again GRRRRR I rang yesterday to get some antibiotics for it and they faxed me a script so already on to it as far as treatment goes, but it's pretty painful so you can imagine that made the internal exam + pap smear + diaphragm fitting pretty damn uncomfortable!
Then took DD out to lunch with one of my besties, and to the office to see some work friends which was all good! She was really well behaved, slept through for about two hours, woke up and had a feed during lunch, and then was awake and happy while meeting the colleagues.... so we had a really good morning.
House looks a bit like a bomb site so gotta tidy up the kitchen and hang up a load of washing, so BBL for personals

o.k justa quickie no personals i have to much to day,

oh my im so happy i finally got a dr whom would give us a referral to get josh's ears re tested at Brisbane hospital. Josh is being very good today i am happy.

Secondly oh the embarrassment i got my pap done eventually. First of all she gets the thingy's thing out, whacks it in and ahh says oh your to long, this isnt long enough. Im like ahh o.k ive never had that problem before. I said long what does that mean i didnt really get an answer.
So then she try's another one thats longer and said i still cant see your cervix so she gets me moving around a bit. Then she says its not long enough for me meaning the implements.
So there i am on the bed legs open and she goes off on the hunt out side the room to find one longer. Im like thinking what the hecks wrong with me ive never had an issue before. Then finally she comes back with like about 10 of them, her arms full and im thinking OH MAN!!!! Finally 3rd time she got it right and did the pap. I was like wowwe my woohoo was catching a cold it took so darn long. I was glad it was over.

So what does it mean i am long??? what is long? any one know im like so confused.

She also took a swab of my through thats been sore for 2 months over now

Squidpea ~ I shudder to think of the ramifications of your 'woohoo' catching a cold! ROFL. Glad you can laugh at the experience!

MM ~ The course goes for as long as I want it to. As long as it is done in 2 years. I will be working from home part time to start off with. Want to stay with Seven as long as possible!!!!
