to me lol, 22 today. Got a WiiFit (which i got 2 weeks ago), a beautiful new watch from Shel, and a 3.30am wake up call . Well at least she woke me up with cute cooing and something which sounded like a giggle so i didnt mind getting up to her lol. Had a nice cooked breaky, and possibley going out to get something for lunch. Am browsing zodee for some hotmilk bras, my fav are the pink ones, they're on special but not in my size

Ooooooooooooooooooooooo, SIL just called, we're going to Sizzler for dinner WOOHOO! hehe. No cooking tonight!!!! And her shout!!!!!!

Mel, would love to come to the park one day, just say when and I'll be there. Sorry to hear about you're doggy, ticks are so horrible! I'm glad you caught it in time, my parents have lost a few dogs when we lived on property out west, such a sad thing to watch

Oooooooo 2 month needles are coming up next Monday.

Well Shel is playing Mario Cart I might go sit and make annoying distracting comments (like screaming, "watch out watch out! oh bugger you fell!" and then laughing my bum off, she finds it really annoying and i'm such a child that makes me do it even more

When I was pushing DD out the midwife said "now's the time to ask for that diamond ring you've been wanting" I didn't think it was very funny - jewellery couldn't have been further from my mind at that point! When we saw her the next day in the nicu she mentioned it again and the Bear said "that's all sorted". The first time his parents came to visit after we brought DD home, they gave me an antique diamond eternity ring - Bear's grandfather gave it to his grandmother when she had FIL, and she gave it to MIL when she had the Bear. So it's a family heirloom and Beth is named after its first owner, Bear's grandmother!
    Happy Birthday Shel

    PMSL! That's the idea!
Mel, I hope A, M and the dog recover - sounds like it's a war zone in your place today!
Squiddy - I'm not thinking about more kids yet, although I think the Bear is! Just trying to get used to having one little one.... but eventually I think I would like one more. I think the Bear wants two more. O and no c-sections here so far (touch wood)....
Thanks for the tips on the BBs.... did express between feeds last night but its hard to find time when she's feeding every two hours! so instead I think I will just put her on that BB every feed, for most of the feed one time, and then only for a little bit the next time if that makes sense.... anyhoo should express some more cause I'm short of EBM atm.
But no time now, gotta get her up, feed her and take her up for her 6-8 week appointment.
    everyone.... catch up later!

Squidipa - yeah he's fine - got hit in the noggin when he was under DD's swing and it swung into his head as he put it up.. lol.. was a bit amusing actually... it doesn't cost us that much for vet bills - once you have all their needles and desexing out of the way, ours rarely get sick. We have two dogs and two cats.....

OOOh - and the recommended space between c-sections is 18 months - so your child is to be 18 months old by the time you have the next child. Thats what we did here.

Leasha - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! WOOOHOOO!!!! You old fart lol

So yeah, up for a meet this week or whatever? I can do either tomorrow or wednesday - unless you want it not on school holidays? Unless you just wanna hang out at someone's house?? GUYS.. tell me what you think..

Pixie - war zone here everyday honey... feel like I'm on candid camera most of the time..

Hmm.. damn.. abc kids is over... no.. shaun the sheep is dancing.. thats amusing him...

No, now over. Might have to put a dvd on for him.. LOL.. such a bad mother!!! (I gave him some jatz crackers before - thought it might be useful to wash down the crayons he ate earlier.. )

wow he just fell off his little couch and bumped his head and not a grizzle.... yet.. lol

Seven is on a combination of Infants Friend (helps her fart like a boy and burp so much easier) and Brauers Stomach Calm ( her tummy doesn't churn half as much as it used to).
At 10.30 last night when the screaming started, and DF had tears because of her pain, we gave her a very warm bath which did soothe her, but once she was out, it all started again. I put her in her sling and she did nod off, but only for 30mins then it was back to the arching etc.

She hadn't pooped for 24hrs yesterday afternoon, which I know is normal for a breastfeed 6 week old baby, but Seven seems to get so uncomfortable and grunty and groany and strains so much that I think her eyeballs are going to pop out of her little head, if she doesn't go regularly.
She pooped this morning and is now back to the happy little snuggle pot that I know. But, if she doesn't go again in the next day I know it is going to be a repeat of last night. I am not sure what else I can do to help her poop!

Her little face is so peaceful right now it brings tears to my eyes remembering the screwed up face of last night.

for Seven. Poor little mite! And for you too CM4E. I know exactly what you mean when you said you were in tears seeing your little girl in so much pain. It is heart-breaking seeing them like that and not being able to help them

Leasha - Sounds like a good one so far! Hope it continues! And hey it's your birthday so all the more reason to annoy Shel playing games! :P

Squidipa - Eternity rings are traditionally to be given (depending on who you ask!) for either your first anniversary, the birth of your first child or your 10th anniversary! 7 more years to go for me, unless you go by how long we have been together in which case "Where's my ring??"

Pixie - That's fantastic about your ring. I love family traditions like that. Probably cos I don't have them as my mother has no family since she was a little girl and Dad's family are all in the UK and any traditions will be passed on to the family that live there.

Arimeh - your house sounds mad - love it! I hope Keenan gets the all clear today and you don't get hit with that vet bill! Ouch!

I just gave Jett a baby massage and OMG he was loving it. He started grizzling before I finished so I just got him dressed and put him to bed and he was out like a light. This is my daytime cat-napper so I have never seen anything like it!

I have heard of mother having benefibe or somethign similar to make there BF babies go is it possible to try this i take it every day anyhow and i know it dont bother josh, I can take up to 6 heaped table spoons dailey. If on bottle maybe just put a very little bit in there and increase the does if need be by very small amounts.
Thats what i would do in a bottle of water mind you i always fed my babies water

leash!! omg, you make me feel old!!

mel - hope keenan gets better real quick! lol @ aricyn eating crayons! has he tried the cat & dog food yet? khaemon often gets into the cat biscuits, and when kaliah was little, i caught her eating the cat litter!! eew, i know, but we use the recycled paper stuff and it had just been changed ...

squidipa - i don't think you're crazy, i'd love more kids too, just have to talk dp into it!! Thankfully i haven't had any c-sections (don't know if i would cope - i'd be too scared of feeling everything!)

cm4e - i know how it feels to watch your baby in pain ... veygas was like that b4 his hernia op, and he'd go 4 or 5 days without pooping - one night he screamed for two solid hours and then it took me another two or three hours to settle him back to sleep He loves the bath though, and now cries when I take him out, but when i start taking his clothes off b4 his bath, he gets all excited cause he knows whats coming!!

well, got a dr appt to get to, ds2 has been all over the place lately - temps up and down, moods up and down, cough, snotty nose ... what a great start to the school hols! plus gotta get ds3 conscientious objection form signed ...

    *hugs* to everyone

squiddy, that's what I was doing before but the left one seemed to run out and she was thrashing on it.... supply seems to have picked up today so hopefully we will be in business again.
cm4e, are you demand feeding? DD had terrible wind a few weeks ago and we came to the conclusion we were overfeeding her. Limited feeds a bit (20-25 mins every 3 hours in the day and 4 hourly at night) and that really helped. She's feeding more than that at the moment but she seems to be having a growth spurt and she isn't getting bad wind. Anyhoo, hope you find something that works!
Went to Beth's 6-8 week check today and she is doing great - up to 5 kg, 57cm and HC 39.2. Just under 75th percentile so all going well.
Well I haven't got anything done today so better go and sort out some washing while DD has a nap.....
Leash hope you had a great birthday!
mel :P, Beema mwah!, MT, MM, kel, kiwi, sash and everyone else - hope you're having a good day
    ETA
I love family traditions like that.
MT I thought it was really nice, we don't really have any family traditions like that in our family so it's nice to be part of the Bear's.
