hi girls
sounds like we've all been having kinda the same issues...i went to the shop yesterday to buy condoms(i have pcos and the pill doesnt agree with me and we want to have another baby sometime soon so untill we find a sutible form of birth control we are stuck with condoms) anyways as i was saying, feeling as embarrassed as a horny teenager as i was going thru the checkout the stupid beepers went off so the checkout girl goes searching thru my bags of shopping to pull out the offending bulk box of condoms allerting every customer there that she had found the corse of the alarm so that pretty much squashed any tiny ounce of sex drive that i had!!!
my mother in law has been over from tassie since lucy was 1 week old she is not staying at our house( the reason i was so insistant on buying a 3 bedroom house hehe) but she is driving me insane!!! she walks around the house with lucy over her sholder trying to get a none exsistant burp from her when all she is is tired, and yesterday she was trying to force the dummy in her mouth making her gag!! and then on monday she WOKE her up i have always got on well with her but since ive had lucy i cant stand her. sorry if im windging but its not like i can talk to dh about it.
lucy is doing great lots of smiles and babbling, its fantastic watching my son interacting with her now, he thought she was pretty boring when we first brought her home
she sleeps well at nite but takes so long to go to sleep i put her down at 8.30pm last nite and she was still fussing around at 10pm she just gets over tired and wont give in to sleep... she just lays there and every now and then lets out a squeak cause she has lost her dummy.

Tasha - poor thing and how embarassing !!! I send DH to buy the condoms as I am the same as you dont want to go back on the pill as it takes my body too long to recover and readjust but I hate the darn things .... why is it that everyone thinks just because our babies are fussy that they have wind - i am with you its gets sooo irritating that now i know i just take Ali back from whoever may be holding her and prove them its not wind she is just sleepy ..... if only every cry meant wind we would have a much better chance of udnerstanding them !!
Danielle - lots happening for you hun and good luck with the car hope you can trade it and get the one you want ! Hope that everything is ok with you and that your referral goes well ... are you feeling ok - if you need anything just let me know ok ... happy to help out ... we should do that catch up soon before xmas comes !!!
Lea - is Zoton medication for the reflux? Hope it makes a difference and things settle down soon ... did your day get better ?!
Kell - such a growth spurt .... good to see that he is thriving and doing well ... hope you manage to get some sleep. Such good advice re the couple relationships hun very well put and definitely makes alot of sense !!
Erin - sorry to hear things havent been so great but I am with Kell in that it does get better ... I guess it is harder for you both having so many other distractions to occupy your minds as well with moving back and work etc ... stick in there hun and hope things get better .... bet you cant wait to be back in Oz !!!
Ali has got her first virus she has a tummy bug and man her poos are horrendous ... you can hear her stomach gurgling so bad and the poor thing is really white ashen faced and so so sleepy hardly feeding much at all .... took her to the dr this morning and he said it could be from her shots last week or she could have picked it up somewhere but keep an eye on her and if no better sunday take her back ... poor little thing but she is mainly just sleepy and sooky wanting lots of cuddles so not too bad to handle except the stench of her nappies lol .....
Other than that doing work again and trying to keep house clean and get ready for the weekend ... i have to go and get my crown fixed so not looking forward to that but DH and I are going to dinner sat night just on our own while my parents babysit = that i am soo looking forward too !!!

Melsta- My immediate thought when reading about Ali being sick is its probably from her immunisations last week, the gurgling stomach sounds like the rotovirus which they gave them orally. Poor little girl i hope she gets better soon.

Tasha- The soy did clear up her skin. In a matter of days. It was amazing. How cute you got Lucy's ears pierced.
Lea- I hope Gab starts to settle for you soon.
Kell- My energy burst lasted quite a few days, has slowed down again though. 6.4kg!!!!! Far out Chardonnay is 4kg.
Danielle- Sorry to hear about the high score on the scale. I did mine today and scored high too. I hope it all gets sorted out for you easily.
Erin- We havent had special cuddles either. Its not that i dont want to, but for some reason i just cant bring myself too. I feel like my body is so different now in so many ways and im not sure im totally comfortable with it. Just everything is different, smaller boobs, no belly, and things smell and look different.
Me- For some reason ive hit a downward spiral and i can feel im right on the verge of a big crash and burn. I was awake at 3am this morning feeling on the verge of tears. Im so cranky and irritable and i can feel myself shutting down from everyone, including C to a certain extent. I did the pnd score today and scored high. Im just so over everything. Mainly my health. My stomach is still sore. Im on strong meds that are not working at all. And i feel like i keep going to the dr to get results only to find myself with no answers having to go back a week later. Out of the blue yesterday too i decided i didnt want to breastfeed anymore. I just cant handle people in my personal space at the moment. Im just so irritable all the time, i cant sit and relax into feeding, i want to be up and doing something. I dont know where this came from cos i was enjoying it.
C had her needles today and the poo's from the rotovirus have already started. Shes slept alot today, which is a change from the last 2 days of her being irritable. I told the dr about me thinking she has reflux and he told me to give her infant gaviscon. Im not sure if its working or not yet. We are trying her on goats milk formula this week. Its between goats milk and soy i think.

while i was trying to settle gab , i noticed nixon had found the Ironing aid spray , i wonderd if i had put the cleaning bucket away and i was certian i had , so i just thought " oh its just spray , ill clen it up when gab settles ... " THEN all was quiet , i thought oh good hes watching telly ... AH NO , he had the flea powder and was shaking it all over the house , AND had the new bottle of detergent and was spreading that all over the house , i had no idea this was happening , so when gab was sleeping i went out , only to step in dish wasing liquid ... and then looked around my house to find powder everywhere .. i walked into the kitchen and nearly died , DH had left the cupboard under the sink open and nixon found it ..
does any one know how hard it its to mop up dish washing liquid , suds were everywhere and nixon kept getting of the couch and stacking it on the slippery floor , i mopped 3 times and could still see suds , so i left it..
this happened all before 9 am ..... when i got home the floor had a slimy oily film all over it , ugh it was groose ... then gab started to whinge about 5 pm and i was feeding her and saw nixon drag a chair over to the sink and turn the tap on full ball !! there was notihng i could do .. after a while nixon filled a glass over water and was walking over to me , saying "wakker , wakker , wakker" and had was just about to hand it to me when a bit spilled and he slipped on the soapy floor ... poor fella , he was sooo sad that the "wakker" was all gone ...
it was sooo sweet he was bringing me a glass of water too , my heart just melted for him ... i cant believe he is 2 on sunday OMg !!!
Kel : yep the zoton is for reflux , it hope it works for her , its so hard to give it to her , she just ends up a sticky mess amd screams so much , so after i get as much as i can into her , i bath her in the sink just to calm her down , becuase you have to wait to feed them .
she didnt settle last night till around 11pm , she used me as a dummy for about 3 hrs , i just couldnt stand it , and since i had been up since 3.30 am i was buggered ... and each time i asked dh to take her , she went wild , so it was a huge cycle of feeding/sucking/napping (till i moverd her , then shed wake) trying her in the papasan /back on the boob etc ... untill eventually she slept but the moment i moved of tried to move her she would wake , so uncomfortable as it was , she slept on my boob all night ..
Kristi : hugs hun , i know how you feel , about being over everything ... and feeling irratable and snappy , i feel the same , and i know i should be "interacting " and stimulating gabriella but sometimes i have no energy and dont want to spend 20mins babbling with baby talk , she is never happy enough anyway so some times i think " whats the point" ..
good luck with the gaviscon , we noticed an improviment on it but it didnt fully solve the issue .. you have to be regualr with it , give each feed , and for the freqency she feeds , it just wasnt convientient for me , so with Zoton , i give her half a pack every morning. so far she is just as cranky but im sticking with it ...

i just finished my post an then pressed the wrong thing and lost the lot
in short lucys not sleeping, only drinking about 70 to 90mls of her feeds but still going between 3 to 5 hours, and has now started spewing everywhere again
so im tired and feed up and feeling useless and dh is no help because he cant make her stop crying so just handballs her back everytime she grizzles.
lea, i feel for you im struggling just with lucy never mind having a 2 year old as well...but how cute with the glass of "wakker"
kristi, hope the gaviscon and the goats milk do the trick, i had a great big cry this morning...if you find yourself on the verge of tears just go for it, it made me feel good afterwards only for a short time but hey least i felt good for a bit, just a bit of a release really.
