Katti - Can you believe it I never had time to take a pic of her in her uniform??? I was feeding Veygas until right up to just before we left and had to feed him again as soon as we got home from picking her up! Hopefully next week I'll get one! LOL!

IKWYM about stinky farts!!! pooheeeeee!Veygas attracts the bloody flies!! LOL!

Veygas is a thumb sucker - hates the dummy to pieces, but will settle himself by sucking his thumb (I reckon that's how I'm getting away with him sleeping through the night!!)

ROUTINE OUT THE WINDOW??? YES!!!!!! Every weekend, cause DP is gone all week LOL!

Mel - I don't think I can wait til June next year!!

Whereabouts are you Katti?? We are looking at getting land in Stanthorpe (I know Mel, it's not the Sunshine coast!! LOL!)

Leasha... lol yeah- when DS is upset i just pull them out and he gets soo excited he just looks at them and even starts playing with them before he clamps down!! Its funny coz its like the world is coming to an end- but as soon as he sees the boobies he suddenly has enough time to stop and play for five minutes!!! lol

MM..... i'm sure you can get her to dress up in her uniform again for a picture!! lol

I live in northern nsw, near Byron Bay- i had a loong drive to get to the brissie meet up!! I have a good friend who lives in caboulture which is near Leasha and Mel- DH and i go up there a fair bit for weekends. NEXT time i promise i will arrange a meet up- but usually its a last minute decision to go- even on sunday i wasnt going to go there- i was planning on coming right home- but at the last minute i decided i wasnt up for the drive home and went to my friends place.. i hadnt packed anything for myslef (luckily the nappy bag was FULL of clothes nappies etc for shane) but i go tburned big time with the poo explosion!! All over me!!!! LoL I had to wash my clothes there coz it was all i had!! lmao

Oh and those smelly farts before.. yep- explosion was not long after!!!

Shane tries hard to get the thumb in there- but hasnt quite mastered it yet!!

We are having a GINORMOUS storm here tonight!! Its windy and the sky is black!! I love a good storm!! It came up so quickly!!! I love storms!!!

Gee it didnt take me long to get back into the swing of things did it!!

hehehe Katti - we aren't in Qld yet - far from it! LOL, we are in the Blue Mountains!!!

Funny thing is, I think alot of the ladies in the July 16-31 thread are closer to me (I think I remember seeing that some of them lived around Richmond / Hawkesbury areas, which is kinda at the bottom of the mountain, if I go down the back road!! LOL!

And I just have to look at veygas, or make a move as if I'm gonna pick him up, and he smiles at me - sometimes we have trouble getting the thumb out of the way before the boob goes in though!!

Thanks for the copy and paste advice! But I know I won't learn. I haven't had that happen to me before, I've always been able to click the back button and copy and paste what I have written in to Word before the site chews it up! Plus I don't normally write a post for that long..... oh well I have no one to blame but myself!

Anyway in light of my lost post I won't go back and do all the personals I did first time - but I am thinking of all of you! Mwah!

Starbright - Yay for joining us! Welcome!

Ok, quick recap of yesterdays post - went to the Expo on the weekend. Was really good, I bought a whole stack of itti bitti d'lish nappies so I can pretty much keep Jett in cloth fulltime now! I think I will still keep him in sposies for night times though for the time being. I bought a twilight turtle which projects stars on the ceiling and the shell glows. If you want to look at it just google "twilight turtle". Might save that one for him for Christmas though. I bought a few breastfeeding tops too cos I'm struggling with my every day tops and feeding. And I bought a sling for Jett for wearing around the house and quick trips in to the shops. It was funny, I tried it on and put Jett in it and he fell asleep straight away - so how could I not get it??? I paid my money and walked out with him in it - lucky it was new out of the box or I could have ended up with a demo!!

Jett has been a bit funny today - not out and out uncontrollable, but just not settling, whimpering and getting upset. I think a lot of it is him getting overtired and not sleeping when he needs to. He really fights it, one of the reasons I wanted to get the sling. I did put him in it earlier and like a charm he went straight to sleep. But then I really wanted a shower so I put him on the bed still in the sling but he woke up as usual when I was half way through my shower. Oh well, nothing I can't handle!

I hope everyone is enjoying their little cherubs!

Evening all!!! You can seriously chat on here I have no chance of catching up on todays chatter!

Long day today, work first up this morning, had a meeting - but had it at home and I was bought a nice hot chocolate - yay, gotta love that!

Caught up with my playgroup mums - we have already started catching up outside of our Friday session, this week is out last session. There are a few photos on Facebook if you are on there!

Went to hospital and saw my dad - WOOT!! He is coming out in the morning so I wil be picking him up by 10, the he is staying with us overnight and my mum is coming down from the country for the night and I am cooking a lamb roast!

Also my sister had her MRI today and it was all clear - WOOT! She has aslo been approvd to have the medication for one month for $25, heaps beatter than $30,000!!! But we don't know what will happen after that.

We have more bricks, pretty much downstairs is done, I guess they will be waiting for scaffolding for the second story.

    Welcome back Starbright!

Must go and express, hopefully I will be able to keep up tomorrow!

Shock horror, I’m awake. Seven WAS soundly asleep, until the very second I put her in her basinnet. She’s been crying ever since. She’s currently on my lap whingeing. Doesn’t want a feed, just wants to me to stand up and hold her. My back is about to break. Holding a 5.5kg baby for hours on end is not good for a bad back!

DF has been asleep since 7.45. He’s ‘tired’. Im over him being ‘tired’. So am I! He doesn’t wake up every 2hrs to feed a hungry baby. He doesn’t get up early to spend all day with a needy baby. He gets to go to work and come home and go to friggin bed!
If I bring this up, I know what he will say. “I work all day”. So frigging what?
    Somethings gotta give.

I need this baby to go to sleep before midnight. I have tried everything. Im SO dam tired! This is NOT what it was supposed to be like.

I am sorry about the ‘me’ post again – but I am going to lose my mind if I don’t vent. I know you are all going through the same things, but I don’t know what else to do.

    Morning yummy mummies!
Hope all had a good night and to those who didn't!
Well I was supposed to go and do the bay walk this morning with the girls from my mother's group but the weather is dreadful so not today.... But it's on every wednesday so next week. I don't mind because I have to be at an appointment at 12 so I was going to be cutting it fine. today is the day my stepmother is minding Beth so I can go and get a spa treatment! it's a late birthday present so it should be a great day.
Kel - I feel for you babe... hope you get a solution soon. Leash, where is that frying pan you used to hit Shel with - it sounds like it worked on her so pass it on to Kel!
Vic - great great news about your dad and your sister!! And saw your playgroup photos on FB - sooo cute!
MT - bummer about losing your post, hate that! and great that Jett liked the sling. We have (two) Baby Bjorns but DD HATES them. Wondering if she would like a different type of sling or if she just doesn't like the whole concept.
MM - happy three months to Veygas
kel84 - you were asking about nappy brands - we used to use huggies until everyone started saying they had gone downhill, since then have used aldi and babylove... both good. Waiting for the poo frequency to drop a bit then will probably get the nappywash service, since dad has offered to pay for it.... so then it would be cloth flats.
I posted my birth story here so if anyone has half an hour to kill go for it.... make sure you have a cuppa handy though it's pretty long!
Big waves to mel, SB and everyone else - hope you all have a great day!

CM4E - honey, vent all you need to!! Guess what? We (mums) work all day too, and all night! We are constantly on call, we don't get perks like sick leave, annual leave or overtime! Heck, we would have to be in one the most underpaid professions in history!

I hope Seven starts being a good girl for you. Have you tried to talk to Trav about this calmly? (before all the pent up emotion) I know it's hard with a needy, clingy baby.

I really don't know what to suggest hun. How do you bath her? Ever since I got Veygas into one of those bath seat thingys (where they are a little more independent cause you don't have to hold them) he kicks and splashes around in the bath (and wears himself out methinks!) and then I feed him in a dark quiet room (while my other three get up to all kinds of mischief!!), half wrapped. I finish wrapping him after his feed, kiss him on the forehead, tuck him in and leave the room, all without talking to him, and as quietly as possible.

This routine seems to work for us ... but then again, my household has to be routine-d otherwise I wouldn't get anything done! LOL!

    Big hun!

MT - yay for the itti bitti's - how do you find them (fit wise, absorbency etc, as opposed to where LOL! ) And woohoo for the sling!! How heavy is Jett now?

Vic - what good news about your dad and sister! And $25 is a heap better than $30,000!!! Hopefully if these meds do her good, they might be able to make more arrangements for them to continue being subsidised!

Well, we had that storm hit early this morning, scared the crap out of DD so much so that she wet the bed (first accident!!) AND THEN IT SNOWED!!!! It's like winter again - currently 3 bloody degrees!!!

Anyway, gotta get DD's bedding dry before tonight and then have a nice hot cuppa!!

    mwah to all!! xxx
