I had the biggest teary last night we moved Allegra from the bassinet to the cot in her own room. When I looked over at the empty bassinet it made me cry then I looked at the empty spot where it used to be next to our bed and I cried THEN I thought about her being all alone in her cot and cried then I thought about how I will never again have that little baby next to my bed making squeeky baby noises in their sleep because we're not having anymore and guess what I CRIED. DF cuddled me to comfort me I really felt silly but he understood
i so understand kel BIG HUGS i havnt moved josh yet normally i have moved the kids at 8 weeks old but i just cant seem to do it. I keep thinking he is getting too big but i still cant move him. Mind you he has only grown 7cm's since birth. I am just lucky that he isn't rolling yet or else i would have to move him. I am scared that i wont be able to see him. Silly yeah especially being baby 4 but that doesn't mean i care any less IYKWIM.

I had the excuse for a while the cot is full of the cupboard food but its been empty for some time now. Then it was, i have to get him used to the cot during the day and i have been and Josh loves it and goo's and gahhh's all the time, he loves the butterfly mobile too. So whats my excuse.... UMMMM i cant see him. We have a night light next to my bed so i can see him Now as soon as i open my eye's at night and if he is in his room i wont be able to see if he had pulled anything over his face or check to see if he is breathing. Yeah CrAzY me.... i wake up at night and sorta poke him to check. I pray all the time that he is protected at night and will still be with me when i wake int he morning. Sometimes i get myself all worked up that i cant even sleep i just want to watch him and make sure he is alright.

Now i have a new excuse not to move him... our Room has no windows only French doors to the porch and a air con which we don't use. It needs a good clean dunno if it even works!!! Our room is connected by French doors into Josiah's room where there is two windows near his cot. So obviously in this humid weather we sleep with them open but wont be able to when josh goes in there. This is sorta a good thing but sorta a bad thing. So what to do move the cot yeah, ya could do that but there really isn't anywhere else for it to go in that room the draft will still be passing the cot IYKWIM. So ahhh i guess the cot has to come into our room till this warm weather is over hey. I am sorta happy but sorta not. Mind you ill be happy i can see him some what at night. Ill have to move my chair and foot stool out of my room and where his cot is. Ill only be able to see the end of the cot not him directly in our room. I guess that maybe progress.

There is another option take DS3 out of his room and put him in Josiah's room and joshie share with DS7 i think DS7 would LOVE that! He sleeps through everything ad all noise but that would mean i am a whole doorway and hallway 2 walls and another door away from josh and i cant bear that right yet! PLUS heres another excuse or is it? DS3 would have to walk through our room to his room HRMMMMM. or maybe i could unblock the door in the Kitchen and then Block off the door in our room but then ya have the air issue hrmmm. Cant win I do have windows on top of our door that connects to Josiah's room that we could open tho.

The eventual goal is to move josh in with the boys but need to wait till DS3 is older so he doesn't give him small things when i am NOT looking IYKWIM

any ideas anyone? yeah i think this is doing my head in i guess i am just not ready. Plus i don't really want to have to get up get dressed to walk to DS7's room to get josh even if it is every 2nd week. I am obviously NOT ready????

Who here has rolling babies? JOSHIE is good at holding his head up and sitting for short periods of time.

Oh yeah i sorta had a period started with day 1 brown spot then day two spotting red, then late day 2 a gush then NOTHING then day 3 nothing day 4 a brown bit

BTW 8 feeds so far today so maybe 1 or 2 more for josh

morning well Josiah was thinking about being a big stirer last night in a way i am like thank you God!!! i had an engorged boob so at 2.30 i fed him and i felt better. Now maybe i could sleep josh like everyday ended up in bed with me.

PEAD appointment i do hope they thourally investigate i don't think it should be this hard for him to gain weight i mean i been testing theroys out and 4 or 5 feeds a day he looses weight he needs more like 6 feeds plus 300 ml expressed. Or 9 or 10 feeds a day like what i am doing now. Doesn't that sound ridiculous. Got lots of milk here.

I hope they dont just say oh 9 feed a day thats o.k if he is gaining ahh hellloooo ill be like come on thats not normal is it?

BTW i added a new pic to my ticker

how many feeds do you all do dailey and how many ml's of expressed or otehr is that?
plus how many mins total a day do you feed for ours is just under 4 hours in total not sleepy time on boob i don't allow that well cant can i?

    Just quickly ...

Squidipa - wow!! Joshie's holding up his head and sitting!!!????!!! That's fantastic! Veygas is way behind The best he does is try to do sit-ups!! LOL!

We feed 5, maybe 6 times a day, 99% of the time is straight from the boobies. Sometimes on shoppings days, I'll express if I have time, or if he is still asleep when I wake up and has slept through the night, I'll express in the shower, but that is rare. However from the few times I have done it, I have expressed about 200mls and he has scoffed the lot and come back for more! Total daily feeding time is probably an hour / hour and a half?

DS1 fed every 2 hours around the clock for like the first six months and he was a big boy - but I think he needed the extra feeds because he was so big! So yeah, that was 12 times a day for about half an hour each feed!

    GL with the paed hun!

    I'll BBL for more personals!

MM - Beth doesn't try to sit up but can sit pretty well with a bit of support, although she generally gets way too interested in her toes or goes over sideways so it usually ends up in a bit of a faceplant! She seems to have kind of given up on rolling, she will roll onto one side, but since she is usually holding her toes, she isn't going to go any further! her favourite game is still 'baby goes up baby goes down' - sit her on her bottom and hold her hands and pull and she will stand up - sit down - stand up again. She has been into that for ages!
Squiddy - we feed usually 6 or 7 times a day for 20-30 minutes - that's proper feeding time not faffing around or falling asleep on the boobie.
    Leash yay for the driving!

MM - Funny you say this as when I saw the pic I thought something similar.

I had Kye sitting all by himself the other night for about 20 seconds, didnt fall back or forward so I'm gathering he is starting to get good strength in his spine
He's starting to get better on his tummy but tends to be lazy and lie there and suck on his fist hahaha
I guess in his own time he'll get better LOL cant push these things!

On another note, had another sleep through last night 8:00pm till 5:30am

Today has been weird but - he has only drunk small amounts then fallen asleep then woken up then fallen asleep again LOL

Anyways gotta get dinner organised while he's sleeping....

Hi All, been MIA the last couple of days been really busy, DH has been sick, and I had mothers group at my house today, work this morning, but didn't get much done yesterday.

Rachel I just read the latest updates on your little friend, and it has had me in tears, life can be so unfair, I hope she is pain free very soon.

I "sniped" some baby scales on EBAY tonight, for $6.26 (Getzi Electronic Baby Scale) postage was $25 but the RRP is $99 so I am very happy with that price!

I hired a gardener, he maintains the landscaping around our office and I ran out and saw him last week and asked if he did private properties and he did, said it would be 2-3 weeks, that was cool, sent me and sms last night and he came today!! Such an awesome job, we are doing a catchup (weeds!!) today and next time he comes in 3 weeks, then it will be $25 to cut and edge all the lawns, then extra for what ever else he does. I am really happy with that as it is just something I don't need to worry about.

Got a bridesmaid dress fitting tomorrow night so it will be interesting to see if it fits , wedding is in January.

Hope you have a wonderful wedding Kell!!

Yay for all these clever babies sitting lots of rolling, aww so cute!!

Looks like we might be starting solids around Christmas time, Nakita's Paed said to get her started based on her corrected age being 4 months, as her gut would be developed like a 6 month only bub, which is what she will be at Christmas time I can't believe that we will be trying solids in 6 weeks time!!!

    Yay for driving Leasha!!

Hope your Paed appointment went well Squidipa.

Aurrgghhh I am now lost, I will try more personals tomorrow, gotta express and go to bed DH is doing the late feed so I better take advantage and get and early night!

    Morning guys

Squidipa - I have no suggestions for your room/cot problem - I'm sure you will come up with a solution that makes you happy.... but if you want him in your room for as long as possible, I can't see any problem with that Miss M is in her own room now, in her cot, she doesn't seem to have a problem with it!!! And that is such a cute pic on your ticker.. he is getting so big and strong!!!!

Leasha - thats a huge drive honey!!! Well done!!! And I take it no other cars were hurt at all hehe.. I really shouldn't tease, I nearly ran over an old lady when I was having my driving exam in Caloundra.. hehe... (and to think I still got my licence?? lol) When are we meeting up again.. I'm getting bored on my days off!!!!!

Vic - we sooo need a gardener here.. we are pathetic... we did move some stones/rocks into an old sand pit.. then the stupid dogs dug them all up, so now we have little rocks and sand all over the backyard... *sigh* and for starting solids... that has come around so quickly!!!!!

Nothing new here.. Miss M still sleeping through, Master A still isn't... lol

Better go get out of my jarmies I guess.. Miss M sounds as if she is getting a bit tired... Master A is a bit clingy today, so she might have to be settled by her swing me thinks!!!!!

    Morning all!

Well Master K's birth certificate finally arrived yesterday, um how many weeks has it been, only 12!! ..... god QLD is slack

Well this morning I thought I'd be good and go for a walk so got Kye all ready, put him in the car, drove down to the beach and guess what... started raining, not happy jan so came home and what do ya know the sun comes out again so I have been sitting here the past 10 minutes trying to decide whether to risk it again. K is still in his car seat asleep PMSL... I think I'll give it a miss today, I dont want him sick.

Squidipa - K has always been his own cot right from when we brought him home. Never really had any dramas at night with him just during the day he wont sleep in his cot Hope your appointment went well yesterday!

Vic - yay for getting a gardener to do ya lawns n stuff. We had a old guy doing ours for a while. He was charging us $25 to do the lawns and the edges and take away any palms leaves etc

Well K woke once last night but I was expecting him to as he only managed to drink like 800ml for the day yesterday, so not like him but anyways I'm used to the 3am wakeup now so it doesnt really bother me, figure the nights he does sleep through is a bonus for me!!

Anyways the man is waking up... gotta go!

    Good morning Everyone!

I know, I went missing again.... just so much on at the moment and I always think that I will read posts now, and reply when I can sit down and really concentrate on it.... but that time never comes. When will I learn?

Well, I did go and Jett weighed on Monday, just to see if we are moving in the right direction after only 60gm gain in 4 weeks. After stressing over my milk supply and generally feeling like crap and helpless last week I think my milk finally came good over the weekend and the result was

    195gm gain in a week!!

What a relief! So we are at least on the way. My milk is still a bit up and down and I am still having to play with the feeding amount and times as I think feeding both sides every 2hours ish is still resulting in overfeeding (when my milk is good) as he has woken up screaming a couple of times, but only feeding one side every 2hours ish is not allowing me to maintain my supply. So I am experimenting a little this week and I will go back next Monday and see what the result is. We will then make a decision on what is the best way forward from here. But overall I am happy, Jett is still happy but his feeding is much calmer which is fantastic.

We have our last official mothers group today so we are going to the pub for lunch! Yum! Now I just need Jett to fall asleep so I can go and have a shower!

I will try to come back for personals later.... and I do mean it, I promise!

yesterday what a day,First up josh peed on dadda hahahaha sucked in....Got DS3 off to daycare then we busted our butt to rush to shop in morning so i could get the stat dec and get it signed only to find that the time i thought they were there was not correct they were there at 11-2 and my pead appointment was at 11am. So instead i posted soem return items i bought in ebay i had been meaning to do for about 2 weeks and YAY posted some stuff for adoption agency so wasnt a complete loss. I also got the stat dec but didn't fill it out.

Then rushed off to pead appointment fed josh in car then went in only for them to weigh him just after a feed awww i was disappointed but oh well. Didnt take to long in waiting but i found it interesting a chart said at 4-6 months your baby should weigh 6.8-7.8kg getting 800ml of breast or fomula over 5 feeds. I found that interesting to read then went "oh hang on wow josh is sooo smalllllll!!!!" The pead i saw was not the person on the peice of paper appointment. he was not very helpful josh wee'ed on him i found that sooooooo funny!!! he deserved it tho. I tried very hard not to get frustrated with the pead he basically said there is nothing wrong with josh he is fine and average. he put his birth weigh and now weight on his chart that the hospital uses and then said yeah he is fine. I disagreed and i said i am not leaving here with you telling me he is fine and i don't agree. So then it all started in funny kind of way first up i made him plot the weight gains and losses then he still said nope he is fine and i said he has crossed and dropped lines the whole time that is not fine! He then went on to tell me that the charts in our red books are uselss.then went on to say that he is average and i asked what is average he pretty much said everything is as all kids are different. Agreed all kids do gain weight differently. Altho i know he is not average. I then went into a debate about the charts and that the 50 percentile line is a 50 percent line of the average child, then i continued to point that out and that this red book was done with the cooperation of many children and family's making up the nations average thats why there is several percentile lines. Trust me he didn't like that hehe.

he also then said i suggest u put him on formula and my comment was well wouldn't i be covering up as to why he isn't gaining enough? I don't think the dr liked that i was questioning him but i didn't care it took me this long to get there and i was gonna have this darn thing sorted. Ya know he didnt even realise or check that josh had a tongue tie hrmm hey? I said to him this is NOT normal 9 feeds a day and minimal weight gain it shouldn't be like this nor should it be this hard to try to get him to gain weight THIS IS NOT NORMAL!!! He sorta didn't like that either. The pead left the room for a moment and hubbie said i want second or 3rd opinion i said YEAH!

Then the pead comes in the one we are ment to see on the referal and first of all he asks the first pead did you check the heart? he responded yes and the second pead then asked was he crying and the first pead said NO ahhhhhh yeah he was, he was blinkin screaming i was really getting annoyed now. But doing my best to keep it cool. The second pead got pee'ed on too but all in all was so much more helpful he wants urine and stool and blood work samples taken and done. But josh doesn't poo regularly so we have a jar at home when he does we will hand it in to be tested. he also asked for us to come back next week on Wednesday and put me on thos tablets to produce more milk but i have to go back in a week to get another script. he said 3 tablets 8 hourly for 1 week then 2 tablet a day second week then 1 a day 3rd week. he said his height and his weight match so thats a good thing but said he is going to be quite short he thinks strange!!! i am 173 cm and hubbie is about 5 cm taller than i so very strange in deed.

Afte all that we busted our buts back to morayfield for a second time then got the stat dec done for births and deaths and one for ex hubbie regarding taking kids to NZ and one of a formally known as change of name. Then rushed home to collect ds3 hubbie made me a sambo i ate in car thought whats the point in taking joshie out hey as i had not finished at shop. went back to shop then to drs and then got dinner and got home AFTER 9PM. Then to realise i forgot to go to chemist so went back out to find chemist shut to return home empty handed awwwwww it was a long day

    joshie this week gained 110grams

yeah im happy but i also found it interesting the week prior was 220 and that was 6 feeds and expressing every feed and giving him that that was a total of around 320 ml ebm. to this week where 3 days was like last week and the other 5 days was 9 feeds daily interesting hey????

today i started those tablets so we will see what happends hey? very interesting it will be. Vic is it fast working any info ya can share????

Who here has rolling babies? JOSHIE is good at holding his head up and sitting for short periods of time.

thats siting supported for short periods not sitting alone

DS1 fed every 2 hours around the clock for like the first six months and he was a big boy - but I think he needed the extra feeds because he was so big! So yeah, that was 12 times a day for about half an hour each feed!

    GL with the paed hun!
thanks for answering my q .... see thats the thing if eh is feeding 9 times a day fro bout 30 mins ya would think he would be gaining good weights this week hey.

thanks pixie for answering my q.

MM - Funny you say this as when I saw the pic I thought something similar.

I had Kye sitting all by himself the other night for about 20 seconds, didnt fall back or forward so I'm gathering he is starting to get good strength in his spine

thats great 20 seconds yay!!! go kye!!!

I "sniped" some baby scales on EBAY tonight, for $6.26 (Getzi Electronic Baby Scale) postage was $25 but the RRP is $99 so I am very happy with that price!
I hope your hubbie is better today!!! I got the same set for 3.25 i beat you hahaha, they are VERY accurate and great and have a memory storage to them. The first set i got drained batteries ridiculously so i contacted them an they sent me a replacement for free with out returning the old scales. They record the same as in the clinic here yaya!!! now when u tell me your weights i know that myn should be just as accurate as yours as they are the same scales yeah i couldnt live with out them they take pride of place on my buffet in my lounge with a wind chime hanging over the top for distraction.

Looks like we might be starting solids around Christmas time, Nakita's Paed said to get her started based on her corrected age being 4 months, as her gut would be developed like a 6 month only bub, which is what she will be at Christmas time I can't believe that we will be trying solids in 6 weeks time!!!
thats great about the gardener yeah you have more time now with Mis N rather than weeding i hate that job with a passion!!!. We were also thinking about solids at Christmas too just seemed like a good time i did give him some chocolate icecream a few weeks back just the smallest bit like the size of my pinky nail. His teeth were hurting and boy did he calm down and scoff that back haha It was good i should have taken a photo. Cant wait till he can have rusk sicks i love them they help heaps with teething but not those stupid bread sticks there to soft. Good luck with the dress fitting i am positive you will look good!

And that is such a cute pic on your ticker.. he is getting so big and strong!!!!
thanks everywhere we go ppl say wow he is small is he 6 or 8 weeks old they get blown away at how old he is and his size.

    Morning all!

Well Master K's birth certificate finally arrived yesterday, um how many weeks has it been, only 12!! ..... god QLD is slack
firstly thats great about Kye sleeping in cot u must be so happy u started with that all along? as for the birth cert it is ridiculous isnt it. i rang up and they said ours was posted on the 22nd oct and being we did not receive it we had to then go buy a stat dec and find a jp to sign it stating we did not receive it. So what did i do???? I went yesterday to get the stat dec filled it out posted it off with jp sig got home and my birth cert was there it says it was printed on the 6th nov. One problem oh no lets make that 2 problems

1 i already sent the stat dec off what do i do????????
2 its missing my middle name on it and that NEEDS changing as hubbie said "i didn't have a baby with my mom" yeah same names!!!!

so what do we do ladies????? HELP!!!!

But overall I am happy, Jett is still happy but his feeding is much calmer which is fantastic.
thats a GREAT gain well done!!!!! i and hubbie are so delighted for you well done!!!!

i totally understand where your coming from i have found it immensely useful to log all feeds conditions with kids without, style time relaxed tense fluid intake and more u might find it interesting too. My log goes back 46 days nows plus i think after all this i will keep it in joshies memory box.

ah im gonna have to post this as is as josh needs me again and i started this at 10am and i still havn't eaten so hope it makes sence

    EDIT
add on this is whn i hate shared care, at moment my dd is at drs with ex as she hasnt been comfortable and limping on heel for a few days ahhhhh helllloooo grrrrr no9 one told me and now she is getting it checked i wish i was there. memba on the 23 aug she had a needle in heel i hope it didnt cause a problem hrmm *me thinking*

i totally understand where your coming from i have found it immensely useful to log all feeds conditions with kids without, style time relaxed tense fluid intake and more u might find it interesting too. My log goes back 46 days nows plus i think after all this i will keep it in joshies memory box. [/COLOR]
Thanks for your support Squidipa, I really appreciate it. I have thought about doing the log but I am out and about so much I just know I will forget. But I will do one if things don't improve as they should.

Oh and good on you for sticking to your guns and not allowing yourselves to be shooed out of the peads. That first pead sounds like a real ****er!

So it has been a quiet day in here then....

Oops, was going to write more but Jett has just cracked it!

yeah i understand BTW it was just a suggestion but i think your right on track now I find that sometimes it feels like 40 mins ad its been 5 minutes of feeding so it does help me to make sure he is getting some sort of a minimum feed time

I have a small book and i take it EVERYWHERE lol fits in my bag and i have a pen attached to it with a mobile phone for a clock and the shield too. Its like my BF kit lol i say to hubbie can ya get me stuff lol when ever iw nat to feed him or should i say when he wants to be fed lol!

Outta curiosity do you know why or have nay ideas why the low gain before?
Also i sooo didn't want to leave there broken hopelessly disheartened as i pinned everything on that appointment and i SO was NOT gonna leave feeling cheated. EVEN the MW has gotten to her end of ideas and had pinned everything on that appointment to. So i had no choice.... felt pretty good about it in end mind you for the rest of the day i was bursting out with comments lika this
    "NO average "
"who does he thinks comes up with the statistics huh?"
"Why did they create a percentile line if it means nothing" I was being sarcastic obviously.
"I could do his job better than him stupid idiot"
    "Percentile 50 percent crap"
"what the earth was he thinking"
I think hubbie was provoking me as i kept hearing 50 percent and he had a cheeky grin on his face.

Any how after all that stuffing around on the final trip home We just mooed YES MOO'ED our heads off real loud and made all animal noises all the way home in the car. I started singing "I feel Good" at the lights then i heard the echo and i cracked up laughing with hubbie and DS3 i was doing a pretty good james brown impression BTW hubbie comes from a dairy farming family lol and i am always trying to out MOOOOOOO him lol AND out gobble him lol (wild turkeys)
