    Hi!!!

Just got back last night from a holiday in Napier (~6 hours away) - had a great time and Eli continued to be a fantastic traveller I'm so loving being a mum, I never thought I'd feel this happy being a mum and can't imagine life without him.

He's now over 8kg (omg!) and much better at lifting his head off the mat, he's playing with toys now which is so fun to watch and loving sucking on his hand. He squeals with delight so loudly and giggles for me

Hope you are all well *mwah!*

Holy crap Rachel!! And i thought Veygas was big! LOL .... you are obviously doing a very good job with him! I'm so glad for you that Eli is such a good traveller! And wow for lifting his head!! I put Veygas on his tummy and he just spews ... literally!! hehehe But on his back, he tries to lift his head (like he's trying to do sit-ups ... that I should be doing hahahaha!)

CM4E - yeah, I mostly dated younger guys ... why? My first time (in high school) was with a younger guy!! LOL! DS1's dad was 2 years younger than me, DD's dad was 6.5 years younger ( VERY big mistake LOL!) and yeah, DP is 3 years younger ... but I can get away with it cause I look young!!

I wish this ridiculous weather would make up it's mind! We had a lovely warm sunny day and about half an hour ago, the mist started rolling in from the bush!! LOL! And it's now quite chilly outside I am so over cold weather! And I am even more over this hot ... cold ... hot ... cold ... (who's ... doing ... that ... - sorry, my life is one huge Simpson's episode!! LOL)

What's the point of having daylight savings if the "extra" daylight hours are crappy???

    Hey folks - just a quickie cause it's been a full-on day!
I'm so loving being a mum, I never thought I'd feel this happy being a mum
Rach - I know exactly what you mean! I was a bit apprehensive about being a mum but I'm loving it! Love my little girl she's so awesome.
MM - for a second I thought the same thing about the 73/76 - cause most people put their age there for a second I thought crikey aren't they a bit old to be having kids! But of course I realised pretty quickly especially since I was born the same year as you!
Kel - my dad is 18 years older than his wife, who is only 12 years older than me, and they have been married for 18 years.. their youngest kid is 22 years younger than me and only 12 years older than Beth, and my dad's oldest is 37, I'm # 2 of 5 - you can get really confused hanging out with my family!
big wave to Squidipa, Vic, Mel, MT, sash, kel and everyone else!

Rach - Kye is fast approaching 8kg and he is younger than Eli I am hoping for only about 300g gain on friday when I have him weighed again

Squidipa - that is awesome news about Josh's gain

Speaking of EBAY I won a Leapfrog Learning Seat the other day. I bidded $91 thinkin' I would get outbid cause they apparently are about $160 to buy but I won it LOL this is just after I had brought a fisher price infant to toddler last week from Toyworld as they had a big sale on. Ahhh well now I have two things to put Kye in during the day, hoorah!

Finally the man is asleep, this morning has been a shocker!! He had 9 hours sleep last night so has been a bit of a $hit LOL just fighting me when I had him in my arms trying to get him off to sleep. He's crashed now though in the rocker with the vibrate on hehe... gotta love the "calming vibrations" pmsl

Anyways gotta go eat before I pass out.... hope everyone is having a good day!!

PS Hows that car crash in melbourne with those 8 people, bloody ridiculous!!

Ms Nixon said so long as all of the car's seat belts were being used, overloading the vehicle with people was not a crime.

"No, it's not an offence,'' she told Radio 3AW.

"It's a matter for the driver to see whether they can drive properly.

"In fact it's the number of seat belts. I think it's four or something in this car, and if those people had the seatbelts on, no, it's not an offence.
Um ... hello, I thought each occupant of a car had to be wearing their own seat belt??? How can EIGHT people be wearing FOUR seat belts???

Have to admit, as a teenager, we piled 8 of us into a friends car to drive down the street - we were all utilising the seat belts but the driver still got booked for it ....

Sasha - YAY for calming vibrations!!! We switch between that and the swing!! (depends where in the house we are - the swing is just so bloody big to move around and def won't fit in my office!! LOL!) Speaking of which - we need more batteries LOL!

holy moly girls we are a chatty bunch!

Squidipa- YAY go Josiah and go mum for the EBM you're doing so well!

Leash- hugs chick ebay is good but can be so dodgy you'd think they would take more responsibility. You're so lucky to have good jahova's I had one try and tell me that I should be married before having kids

Sasha- thats great I love it when you win by surprise.

MM- When I saw your sig I had a laugh talking about age differences between your partners I went out with a guy that was 10 years older really liked it because he was over the stupid young male stage

Kiwigirl- OMG you and MM have toddlers not babies

Hello mel, pixie, vic, MT, CM4E, SB

Allegra just had her 2 month needles and was wearing her brave face today only cried for a second then cuddle mummy what a little champ! I weighed her and she's 5.5KG my heffalump baby.
I told DF last night I could have one more baby and he freaked out HAHA no one believes us when we say Allegra is our last DF's uncle said yeah we said that and ended up with 3 and your dad said that and had 5!

MM- you posted while I was still snail typing, I always thought over loading was an offence you can and do get booked for it what an idiot that person is. the driver may be able to drive properly but you can't help how other people drive

Hi, im a bit late to be joining this but would be great to talk to others with little ones the same age!!
About us: Our DD was born 1st August and we have had a great (almost) 4 months, Breast feeding was ok after the first two weeks and has been going well, she slept through the night for a month and then went to waking once, sometimes twice a night between 6pm and 5am which was magic, slept well in the day two hours awake, two asleep through the day.

But everything seems to be changing!!! ALOT less sleep, change in likes/dislikes/habits/etc hoping to hear that this is normal and just something everyone goes through at 4 months!

You're lucky you can get your girl to sleep during the day for 2 hours!!! OMG .... K very rarely sleeps longer than an hour during the day but his sleeping pattern is good at night. He will sleep from 8:30pm right through until at least 5:00am which suits me perfect!!

Look forward to getting to know you better!

thanks for the warm welcomes!! Its good to hear that the day sleeps being few and far between is pretty normal... that is one of the things that has changed...without warning...last week she would sleep no problem for LONG periods of the day, this week fights it and yesterday we managed 3 hours in little bursts over the whole day! SO unlike her!! today looks like it might be the same!

i thought she could be teething, but ive been told that the hand chewing/excessive dribbling/red cheaked/crying that has begun this week is NOT teething???

look forward to chatting with you all!!

Beckoes!!! If you get a chance, check your DD's gums - if you can see them starting to get a bit white on the tops (easier with the bottom gums ) then, yep, she's prolly teething! My DS is whingy (out of character whingy) and clingy (also out of character) and has had rosey rosey cheeks for the last couple of days now and he is teething - ALWAYS has something in his mouth! LOL!

    HI TO EVERYONE!!!

Just quickly jumped in to say we got our home loan approval, so now we're SERIOUSLY looking!!! OMG it's so scary and exciting and terrifying and stressful and did I mention EXCITING?????

I'll try and jump on a little later after all the kiddies are in bed, cause I have two here at the moment whinging for their baths!!
