    Happy birthday MM for yesterday!

Mel you are keeping us entertained with 20 questions, love your ticker saying you're not preggers heheh. Speaking of which, I actually took a pregnancy test yesterday lol. I have been feeling mega tired and even a friend wondered if I was!! *Negative* (wasn't ready for a positive) - but wanted to rule it out since there was one time...

sasha - hellooo stranger!! I love reading your Kye updates Haven't had E weighed for a while but wow at his growth spurt.. I think E had one recently because his PJs all didn't fit, had to go buy him some new ones (6-9 months or 9-12 months eee!!!). My mum looked up and saw my sister weighed as much as E when she was 2!!! Crazy. Did you find out if Kye is teething?

Thanks so everyone who says their baby *isn't* rolling yet.. I was a bit worried E was the only baby not! I figure he's a big boy so it's harder work?? He's teething - I can see the bottom two teeth coming up in his gums (haven't broken through yet) and he's had a few screams (which he *never* does) and says "aaaaaaaaaa" a lot, while rubbing his gums with his fingers. Poor boy. Mouth pain is no fun.

bec - love your ticker pic

*waves* to everyone - love reading your updates. hope you had a great weekend.

    Happy Birthday MM for yesterday

OOoooo lucky you got a -ve Rachel!!! I wouldn't be ready either... might have to be careful hey!!

Hugs Sasha, I hope he doesn't get upset tonight!

Pixie... I used to work those hours... it is a killer, I hope Bear gets a break soon, big hugs to you! for the rolling, go Beth!

Hope you get a break Beckoes!

We I must run, 15min to N's last feed for the night... we are trying to get it to 10:30, we had made it to 11pm last week, then Friday Night she chose 10:30, we went 10:30 again last night, she was a little unettled over night but going to keep trying, and only revert back to a later feed if she starts waking earlier for a feed, rather than just chatting away to herself!

Today I (my Facebook Status.....) Victoria went to the markets, got a car washed, did 3 loads of washing, made lunches, ironed clothes, watched 10000BC, & pureed vegies to freeze for when N starts solids. 9:48pm........

ETA: Oh and Nakita is four months corrected today and we have our 6 months Paed appointment Tuesday !

Rach - it must be the Kiwi gene cause K and E are so similar. K is the same already wearing sizes that are for 6-12 months LOL has been for ages!! K isnt rolling yet either, but I'm not too phased figured it was because there is more of him to try and roll it would be tough for him.

K is pretty talkative now, dunno if its teething I think he just likes the sound of his voice now he has discovered it I checked his mouth out the other day and there was a couple of white sorta 'patches' on his bottom gum, I'm figuring thats how it looks LOL might get the nurse to check again this week. K is the same he is such a happy baby so when he does cry I know there is something wrong.

Mel - I have deleted my facebook account so no cant post the video there just as well I did cause I was watching Sunrise sometime last week and there was a computer guy on saying FB had been hit with a virus!

Anyways gotta run, have to make a list of things I have to do today now that I have my christmas bonus.... woooohoooo, shopping!!!!

    Question for everyone!

K has just woken up (6:30am) usually I wait about 45mins to an hour before I offer a bottle. He usually lasts this long anyway before he starts to get a bit cranky then when I give him a bottle he only ends up drinking like 100-150ml then wont take any more. I do usually give him the left over amount between 8 and 9am when he gives me the signs he is tired he usually sleeps for 45mins to an hour once he has that.

Do you think I should try offering him some farex after his bottle??

I dunno what to do, I keep going back and forth on whether to start him on any kind of solids yet..... in fear I guess that he is not ready but I also keep questioning myself whether I am screwing up his metabolism by topping him up in the morning.... may be kinda silly but thats what I have always thought

    Appreciate anyones opinions!

Hey Sasha, does Kye sleep without the top up between 8 and 9am?

If you were chosing to try solids you would do it about 45min-1hour after the bottle, to start I would be mixing his milk with the Farex rather than water, that way he is still getting his formula (well a little bit of it!) with just a different texture.

I have a box in the cupboard for when we are going to try and it is from 4-6 months.

If he keeps pushing it out, then he hasn't developed the correct tongue reflex, so I would say he isn't ready physically.

I won't go into the debate about when to start soilds you can read the threads on it, we are all different in what we are chosing or not chosing to do

    Just some "food for thought"

Oh and for us the 10:30pm feed is going back to 11pm, little Miss woke at 5am for a feed, so she is not ready for the bigger gap on a regular basis! *SIGH* a few more weeks....

    Morning all

Vic - it was MM's birthday - not mine mate - mine isn't for another 6 months!! But thanks for thinking of me

Sash - it depends if you think he is ready for solids.. usually when they can sorta sit up by themselves, they don't push it back out with their tongue - are the main signs that they could be ready for solids. Miss M is so far off ready that I'm not worried about it. Could it be that because you wait for that 45 minutes before feeding him, he sorta gets over hungry - much like overtired? So doesn't really drink that much cos has gotten over the feeling of being hungry? Dunno... just random thoughts popping in and out of my head!!!

Kiwigirl - I'm glad that you are being entertained.. hehehehe

Not much happening here.. I"m at work (yay!) and just quickly popping on before getting stuck into this stupid ongoing neverending statement of loss and damage. Have I mentioned that I don't really like litigation!?!?!?!?

Anyhoo - better get to it!!!

Maybe he just not hungry in the morning? Dunno... I know Miss M has her days of sculling the lot and then some days where she will only drink 100ml at the most each bottle... who knows with these little creatures!!!!

Master V isn't ready for solids ... I tried just a little taste yesterday and he let the mush just sit in his mouth!! He didn't try to swallow or spit!! But at the end of the day I knew he wasn't ready anyway - just wanted to see what he would do, seeing as he's always trying to grab my food!! LOL

Sash - I would die without facebook! It's my lifeline to the outside world! LOL! But I have a Mac, so miniscule chance of virus! I have been using Macs for 4.5 years now (but wanting one for about 6 years before that!!) and never had a problem ... with PC's, I was having to reformat my hard drive every 2-3 months because of new viruses that were popping up before the anti virus software had a chance to update to prevent them NEVER going back either!

Anyway, lots to do - I have started packing and I'm trying to clean as I go, plus keep up with the regular chores (washing, dishes etc) so that when the time comes, I am way on top of it!!! And thank you so much for all of the extra birthday wishes!!

sasha, josiah has started not drinking all his bottle too. i am not concerned just as long as he is drinking. As i have asthma the chances of josh having allergies is really high any how he been taste testing things for ages now. he will start farex on christmas eve. DS3 started solids at 2.5 months and was huge like k as u have seen it he pictures i sent you.
when we do start doing food it will be food then bottle in that order.

thanks for your replies everyone! I think I'm just going to wait another month before trying anything to be on the safe side. I would hate to start him on solids now and he starts waking up through the night so I'll sit tight for now. He is generally a very good boy so I dont wont to jeopodise that. I also want to try and lean more towards baby-led rather than puree stuff when the time comes.

I'm going along to the clinic tomorrow. They are doing a session about about introducing solids so it will be interesting, I am looking forward to it!!

Anyways gotta run, have to pop out soon

Sasha- I love you pic in your sig soooooo cute. If you give solids a go and he spits it out he's not ready but if he chomps down then I'd say he's right to go I'm thinking of starting Allegra soon but she seems satisfied with the bottle at the moment.

Mel- Goodluck with the job my fingers and toes are crossed for you.

Squidipa- Cadence used to love the banana flavour farex she would spit the plain flavour all ove herslelf and ME! I got it on video cracks me up everytime I watch it. How are you going in the heat?

MM- HAHA Did he pull a funny face as well? I hope the move goes smoothly for you

Vic- hopefully you get the bigger gap soon.

Kiwigirl- no rolling here yet she gets to her side and gets stuck then cracks up I'm guessing her arm gets pins and needles from laying on it

We had DF's xmas party sat night and we stayed at the treasury casino our room was UPGRADED to a king parlour room there are 5 types of room and we were the third level (the 2 above are the kind of rooms that really rich people would stay in) our room was a prototype room on what their new reno will look like (providing the feedback was good, we had to do a short survey) and OMG talk about luxury the king size bed was amazing we didn't have a very good sleep last night our bed is like a rock compaired to the casino one. There was a gorgeous chandaleir above the bed, Marble bath room, free foxtel and the manager ( a friend of DF's uncle) gave us a complimentry cheese and cracker platter talk about spoilt!
We had free valle parking as well and It was soooooo funny there were BMW's Audis Mercs and we were in DF's sisters car which was a tiny little daewoo lanos we were like um yeah our beema is um in for a service

I was PMSL when DF was driving the lanos he kept hitting the wipers instead of the indicators as they are on the opposite side to most other makes of cars

He did actually! His face was all screwed up like he was thinking "what the heck is this and what do you expect me to do with it!" pmsl!

I'm a bit crappy tonight - I have had NO PHONE all day today - can't make OR receive calls, it reckons it's engaged! Add to that the internet has only been working for a minute at a time but has spent 99% of the day NOT working I am just so over it! i have felt soooooo out of touch today!

So now I am going to try and go to sleep and hope that tomorrow everything is better!

ETA: I got most of the kids books plus a heap of videos, CD's and DVD's packed today so that is exciting!!

    Hi all

While we're WOOHOOing (lol, not the naughty one either for anyone a Sims player ), Jazz went full circle yesterday on the floor on her tummy And moved about 10cm forward (not much but hey I was proud! But also a little scared of the prospect of a mobile baby! WTF am I going to do with one of those )! Shes never actually tried moving while shes on her tummy, so YAY! She's finally realised tummy time means more things than just screaming. Jazz hated tummy time until about 3 days ago when I started putting a mirror in front of her. Now she makes silly faces at herself and cracks up laughing (all the while forgetting shes on her tumy MWAHAHAHAHA ).

So yeah She also rolled, though I'm not sure if it counts LOL! On the bed, she rolls and rolls, back to front and front to back, to get to my booby Anyone would think I'm starving the girl! So we've decided she can roll, she's just too lazy to roll unless she has incentive PMSL.

Since starting solids Jazz has gone from feeding every 90 minutes and not sleeping for more than 30 minutes at a time, to feeding every 3-4 hours and having at least 2, generally 3, good (usually 90 minute) sleeps a day. So yeah, it's such a divided subject, some babies aren't ready, but Jazz sure was. I'm so glad we started solids now, it's seriously saved my sanity! Jazz never pushed the food back out though, she swallowed it straight away so she was so ready! lol! Little guts!
Nights are a bit sketchy though, some days she'll wake, some days she won't.

Gotta go do some study. Will BBL.
