    Helloe ladies!!

Gee you girls can talk!! lol!!

squidipa.. thank you for your honesty- reading you rpost was like a glimpse into my life for the past few days!! (minus having to care for another child on top of my new born- i dont know HOW you ladies do that!!!!!) For his first week- i did have a "perfect baby!!" he was a dream- feed well- slept great- but my goodness- how things can change in a matter of days!!!!

Well my lovely happy boy has turned into a monster!!!!! Hence why i have had no time to check in!! He is suffering major wind and he has discovered his lungs in a BIG way!!!
He has been MAJORLY unsettled for the past few days- wanting the boobie until he gets it- then drops off- has a power nap of 10 minutes and then BAM wakes up screaming again until i put him back on and then he doesnt even feed- he just wants the nipple in his mouth!! Poor daddy tries to help settle him- but it just doesnt work- he wants mummy ALL the time- i hear you squidipa about not eating a hot meal or drinking a hot cup of tea- its like Shane has a detector in his head that knows when my dinner is ready or when DH has made me a cuppa after he has finally settled (or so we think) and as soon as i am about to put fork to mouth- he wakes crying!!

We have tried a few things to help his wind- Infants friend seems to help some days- but not others- it seems once he works himself up into a tizzy- he just WILL not burp!!!!! Plus i think it is hurting him to poo- as when it seems like he is squeezing one out- his little face crumples up and goes red and he howls!!!!! Plus he has broken out in milk pimples all over his tiny little face- they are red and looking sore- so he looks awful (even as his mummy i think he looks bad!! how mean of me) and he seems so unhappy!!! Showers seem to do the trick to relax him a bit and make him tired enough to sleep for more than an hour- his night sleeps are still pretty good- down at about 10:30-11 and not up till 3- but then once the sun comes up- he is restless.

We have our first early childhood appt tomorrow- so i am hoping they will shed some light on why he is sooo unsettled and give me some tips to how i can get my happy baby back!! I knew things were going too good to be true!! Also my butt is still sore- and it hurts to get up and move around- it is getting better slowly- but i am still uncomfortable when feeding - far worse then i was with the c section!!

It feels good to let that out- i have managed to keep my emotions under control pretty well so far- i have only had one or two cries of frustration and pain (more so the day after i fell down the stairs- my butt REALLY hurt!!!) and DH has been fantastic and tries to help as much as possible- but what can he do when the boy only wants mummy and her boobies!!!!

As for sex or contraception- i am not allowed to get pregnant for at least 12 months (fine with me!!!!!! couldnt imagine doing this with another small child as well!!!) due to repeat c sections- and we tend to fall easily too- and even though i am brest feeding- i am not taking the chance that that will work as a contraceptive- especially as my sister fell again just 5 months after her son was born- and she was breast feeding!! I cant take the normal pill- and i found that tended to make me slightly scitzo anyway- so i am trying the mini pill- and if that doesnt have any bad effects- i will look into the implantation. Dh hasnt been putting any pressure on me- but i am getting a tad randy!! lol if it wasnt for my sore butt and bleeding still i probably would have jumped him already!! lol

Time to go- someone is stirring again!!

    Take care everyone!!
I will try and do some personals later- just wanted to check in and say

    Evening Mums and Bubs

I've been flat out all day, got heaps done, until late this arvo when I had velcro baby!!

I cooked a shephards pie, that I can heat up for my lunches, with heaps of vegies, also beef and mushroom pies for dinner, just gotta put the pastry on top and do the final "cook" in the oven. Folded a heaps of washing, put away stuff from the weekend, cleaned up quite a bit of chucky - I don't think Nakita held down much of her first feed this morning and a few smaller ones this arvo.

Nakita was a bit rough on my LH boob - OMG the pain!! So I have been piling on the Lansinogh and hoping for the best, but I have made it through that last two feeds really well - *sigh of relief*

After this feed I will be handing Nakita on to daddy so I can get the thankyou's done.

Your posts have cracked me up bigtime!!

I have been contemplating DTD, haven't told hubby yet, just been a bit wary!! I am on the mini-pill, tempted to use rubbers as well as I am really not ready for another bubs and we got preggers second month of trying so think our fertility is up there!!

Squidipa - gorgeous pic's of Josiah

MM - Khaemon sounds just adorable - a real protector!

Mel - Mehkelti - sooo cute in her MCN, hopefully it won't ben too much longer and Nakita will fit into hers!!

Rachel - did you get a piccie of them sleeping together? DH got one of Nakita and I, not my best photo but a lovely moment!

Katti - it does get better, it took Nakita a few weeks to find her lunc - about 5-6, but now she has foudn them yeah makes changing her bum that much louder, she seems to be getting really stressed out if I change before a feed, and ends up peeing and pooping as I change!! so fun times and lots of washing Infants friends hasn't worked at all for Nakita, i ahve tried a few times but no luck!

Tomorrow we have the local CAYHS nurse coming by, had to cancel Fridays appointment due to her daughter being sick. Hopefully I can organise a playgroup!

Wednesday we have another MW appointment to check on Nakita's growth/weight, but I am pretty certain she has put on plenty of weight my little girl is bulking up now!

Well our dinner is in the oven, vegies are ready so I will be off!! Hopefully I get to post a bit more often - I didn't even get to do work today!

Apparently it's very common.... my hair did that at 4 months pregnant, it was gross how much would come out!!

How did you sleep last night? Eli was really good last night and didn't take too long to get to sleep. Fed him at 1am, 4am, 7:45am and then a little one at 9:15am... now he's sleeping soundly. Feel like I got a good night's sleep

kel! You're in here quick How did your labour go?

LOL, Kel!! PMSL!!!! Glad you finally made it chicky!!

All I have to say is I am never ever ever EVER going through labour again no more babies for me labour is becoming more painful and babies bigger haha
You say that now .... I have said that 4 times and .... well, the proof is in th pudding, as they say!

Had quite a good night with Veygas last night - I actually put him back into the cot after each feed and he slept well. He went down at about 5.15pm after his bath and a huge feed, woke at 8.45pm, 12.30am, 4am and then at 6.20am (and he is currently still asleep!!) But my boobs are starting to hurt, so I'm guessing he'll be awake soon. But it has been good, I'm managing to get some things done while he sleeps!

Khaemon is being a sooky little so-and-so this morning - we have a doc appt this afternoon cause this has been going on for 5 days now. On Saturday, they said it was a gastro bug but for him to still be sick and not eating or drinking very much, I think it's something else. And it looks as though Kaliah is getting whatever it is as well, so today is going to be NO FUN AT ALL!!

Personally I blame daycare cause they were away for 3 weeks and the week that they go back, they get sick. This isn't the first time either - EVERY time they are away from daycare they are fine, as soon as they go back they are sick which means more time off and I am SICK of paying for them NOT to be there!!

Anyway that's my rant for the day!

Katti - yeah I think we've always been talkers!! You miss a day or two and there is sooooooo much goss to catch up on!! lol!!!

Hope all mums have a good day and bubs, you all better behave for your mummys!!

mountain mummy... sometimes you have the parents that still send there kids to daycare sick while ppl like you and i dont. so they get sick from daycare and we pay for them not even using the service un fair hey!!!! How did the drs go when you do go and take them ???

Kiwi girl i had a very stressful year in late 2005 and i lost massive patches of hair it was very upsetting. So the thought of loosing more now is upsetting also.. As its like its still recovering from 2005's hair loss. I slept good too went to bed at 11 done a feed then at 4.30am and again at 7.15 at about 2 i stuck the dummie in there wasnt much wake ups only about twice in the night bar from feeds also a couple of short ones since 7 hehe.

I am going to get my eye lash's tinted today if i can get ready and get out of the house. Has anyone claimed there target free sample bag yet? what was in it??? I have a runny nose i hope thats all it is and doesnt turn to some thing else. Me and hubbie are busy as it is and we now have a house inspection on Monday so i can tell ya now it wont be the way i like it all done but heck we just had a baby. That reminds me the creepy crawly crapped its self and we are waiting to see if owner will repair it or else we may have to im not going to be impressed if thats the case grrr might call them now.

    morning all,

MM- hee hee I was so excited to be able to come in here. My mid wife told me the exact same thing you did about having more babies but I swear my child bearing is over . about the child care Sometimes they are just a house of illness Cadence was forever picking things up especialy this time of year.

Kiwigirl- Glad to hear you had a good night it really makes a difference.

Squidipa- We have to catch up chicky If I was in hospital longer I would have had more visiting time but I don't like being looked after and fed like a zoo animal haha. I had a bit of hair loss with Cadence.

How are all our other mums and bubs going?

I will post my birth story soon all in all it was pretty good I had to laugh though I was saying while I was pregnant that DF would love to be pulled over by the cops while speeding to the hospital, well I was in mums car and DF drove behind (not speeding) and we passed a police car doing a drive around Caboolture he completely missed his chance
    Hope you are all well

    Morning ladies!!!!!

Kel - god you are quick girl - in and out - no holding you back!!! Congrats again xx
(and I think you could just go once more.. hehe)

Squidipa - you know me too and I'm a queenslander!!!!! I could make a meet up with you guys too (if I'm welcome of course) I just need to organise to get the car. Driving won't be a problem cos our insurance agency covers me before the usual 6 week limit. Oh and I haven't noticed a difference with my hair this time round, but did last time.

Katti - have you tried Colic Relief instead ? We were on Infants friend and switched cos it didn't work very good after a few days... so we switched and have been happy chappies ever since

MM- we are always sick in this house - tis the daycare curse... not looking forward to 10 weeks time when I'll have two kids in care bringing home the sickness!!

Vic - out of curiousity.. how long does it take you to type your posts?!! LOL... they are HUGE my friend...

Ahhh I'm having belly pain (and no its not from the chocolate I just ate).... nurse today said it would be my stitches pulling as they dissolve or something like that.. yay...had little miss weighed and measured - put on 200gm in a week (woohoo!) so she is above her birth weight (another woohoo!) and gained 1.5cm in length. nothing on her head though, but thats ok I told her she doesn't need a big boof head.. lol

I want her to go to sleep at the moment and she is NOT co-operating...

I probably should go do something productive since DS is at the IL's today...

'Ave a good day ya hear...

That's what we have atm ... and tbh, they have been home more days this whole year than they have been at daycare!! Waste of bl00dy money imo!!

At least my eldest only ever brings headlice home!! Even that *****s me, but at least that's manageable!! Six times this year so far!!

MM - yes.. if we were all bald it would be easier to manage that headlice problem.. LOL DS has a cough at the moment, but I don't think its catching so he'll be fine to go to care this week (thank god, might get stuff done around the house - she says as she's sitting on the couch doing NOTHING today.. )

    Good Afternoon

We had the CYWHS nurse come to our house today to do the 1-4 weeks check - LOL! Yeah Nakita is 7 weeks old, but it didn't matter.

Still jaundice, but not worried at all about that.
She has put on 290grams in 11 days, so she now weights 3110grams, and is in the 10th percentile
    Length 50cm
HC 37cm - thought he hear was getting bigger!!

Nurse was really happy with her, and everything else checked out.

Was a bit of a bugger though, Nakita had fallen asleep after her feed and then the nurse had to weigh her etc, she cried - oh I hate seeing her tears!!!! Now she hasn't settled as well, and is talking to herself in her sleep and doing lots of groaning and grunting!

has anyone else's bubs got cradle cap? Nakita has a little so I am going to put piling on the sorbelene!

Mel, my posts don't take me too long to type but I have never times myself, so and timing myself this time and will post how long at the bottom. This one is a lot quicker though as I am using both hands - little Miss is sleeping!!

I hope that belly pain calms down pretty quickly, I am glad I am over the recovery pain - my bum was hurting for weeks!!!

PMSL Kel at you being a zoo animal! Good on ya for getting home so quickly, don't know if I could have done it! I look forward to your birth story too!

:hugs: MM, having a house of sick little tikes doesn't sound like a lot of fun, especially with it being so cold!

Squidipa - I usually get my eating and drinking done while I am feeding Nakita, I pre the food before she is due to feed so that I can run around between feeds and I get full as she gets full!! Hope you got your eyelashes done too - nice to get a bit of pampering in!!

Rachel (I find it weird calling you by your name!!) - how long does it take for Eli to have a feed? Nakita is usually about an hour, although her 2am feed is about 45 min last few nights...

Nakita's feeds in the middle of the night have started to get a bit shorter, so I am hoping that she might decide to start sleeping through soon, and now that she is over 3kg, hopefully we can let her. Bugger our MW appointment tomorrow was cancelled, but nice of our MW to think of us - she has a cold and doesn't want to pass it on. So we are catching up next week at my checkup with my OB.

OMG how funny is this they are forecasting snow in the hills next to Adelaide this week - would be so awesome if it does, I will be heading up to a friends house if it does!

Well I am off to do a few things and work out what to cook for dinner as we have a friend coming over, he took a photo of Nakita and I on Friday night and I saw it for a couple of seconds and apparently it is s really good photo so can't wait to see it and will post it when I get it - if I agree

    Ciao!!! 13minutes.....

pmsl @ vic - I so can't believe that you just timed yourself.. pmsl..

You know what is funny though?? Nakita's head is bigger than Mehkelti's... but Mehkelti is a kg heavier.. lol... hmm.. either someone has a boof head or the other one is a chubber.. LOL

And I so wish my bub wouldn't wake up at night - bad enough the toddler does.... with both of em goin.. christ... its a madhouse in the wee hours of the morning here!!!

Oh and I haven't noticed any cradle cap on DD yet, but I know that DS still has some (yup slack mother, but his hair is sooo thick you can't see it anyway...) When I was in the good mummy mode (ie when I had time) I put a paste of bi carb and olive oil on his hair and left it there for a bit, and that worked - so you might try that one too if the cream doesn't work

hehehe Vic, we have woken up to white ground cover the last few days and have had light sprinkles of snow during the day ... having said that though, today is feeling almost like spring!! (even though it was -1.5 when I got up this morning and everything was white!!)

Mel, yeah thought it was interesting actually, some posts take me ages, mostly cos I just add to it when I have time!

Thanks for the other treatment too, is there a certain ratio or consistency, or how often you need to apply it?

I think Nakita is getting a "big head" it seems to be the part that is growing the most since she has started putting on weight!! She still has creases of skin on her bum, but I think a couple more weeks and it will be fully rounded out. I will see if the MW measures he HC next week as each person does it differently, and to grow 1.5cm in 11 days seems like a lot!!

A white Spring hey MM!! I love the snow, wish we were back on the slopes in NZ, We would like to take Nakita when she is old enough to learn how to ski!!! I reckon you will be getting mroe very soon, as you will probably get our weather pretty soon!!

Also done some more updates on our blog, all of our hospital time has been done and I am up to day 28!!!

Off to feed, the boobs they are stinging!!!

wow where do i start, firstly sorry as i know i will miss some of you out as i am not as fast as Vic with typing and have things to do before DS come home from daycare.

Gudism whats your name???? Yes i would love to meet you also we can meet at morayfield next week during day if ya want for coffee/tea?

Vic the cradle cap i can already see thats going to happen with josiah we always used baby oil and carefully tried to remove it with our hands if possible the 3 year old gets it too but every time ya try to remove it his hair falls out its so thin So we just leave it there till it gets real bad. Are there any other things you know of that ay can use? Nakita sounds like she is doing VERY well.!!!

Yeah did the eye lash tint took hubbie to he got one done aswell for the experience he looks pretty good hey as he has long eyelashes normally. Now he looks cuter when he batters his eyelids.
Target had 3 peice sets for boys for $15.88 so grabbed a few of them For the 3 year old for next year's winter but the jacket hoodies will fit now just not the pants. We got pizza and coke for lunch but ran outta time so ate it in the drive way in the car when we got home. As the hubbie does split shifts and needed to get bk to work.
hrmm thinking ive left some one out sorry if i have done :s

MM.. head lice its so annoying we got rid of them 4 weeks ago its just the two eldest (shared care) that get them from school grrrrr!
