i agree gudsim about some mothers saying they have it so perfect it does make me feel like crap also hehe
Kiwi girl that sounds great with hubbie helping ya out in morning. My hubbie leaves at 5am for work arrives home at 10 if he doesnt have a task to run then back out door at 1 and home at 7pm.
he already does so much like dishes and what not maybe there is a time in there where i could maybe have some me time. Lika sleeep !!! But on top of hubbie doing split shifts and helping me out round house he is also studying. he is a super hero hubbie. We are both finding we are having to schedule times in and tasks to get everything done are you like that kiwi girl?

He sounds like a good hubby!! Mine is too, he gets up to the toddler (who still wakes 2 or 3 times a night) and I deal with the newborn... but he still stays awake so I'm not lonely when I'm feeding her and if she needs to get taken back to her basinette, he will lift her for me so I don't have to twist and lift anything (cos its quite painful!!) so he is very helpful.. plus he helps bathe the kids, do the washing, vac the floors, EVERYTHING!!!!

PLUS - he's not hounding me for sex yet.. ahhh.... its the perfect man.. pmsl...

Wow squidipa, he's studying too as well as doing two shifts? Full on!!

DH's schedule is pretty crazy during the Olympics.. he is on Beijing time which equates to him staying up till like 2-4am NZ time and sleeping in as long as possible. Normally he'd be up earlier so I'm making the most of that. He's been changing nappies, bathing Eli, doing meals... so he's pretty exhausted too. Once those are over, he'll be back to regular working hours but he's planning on taking 5 days off work *yay*.

How long are you supposed to wait for sex? Some say 6 weeks, others say when you're ready?? I'm not ready yet tho lol and DH hasn't brought it up which is nice Guess I better think about protection again too, don't want babies 9 months apart!!

My DP hasn't done that pretty much most of the way through pregnancy!! He understood 1st trimester & morning sickness, we DTD a couple of times during 2nd trimester (only when I felt up to it) and 3rd trimester, I just felt like too much of an elephant (plus didn't want to bring on labour too early, cause I have a history of it - #3 we had scares from 29 weeks and spent most of the next 8 weeks in and out of hospital!)

Now he is happy to wait until I am ready - although we do joke about it sometimes!

rachel - I think you can have sex when you have finished bleeding - as long as you are comfortable enough!!! I think we waited a few months last time from memory, and its funny but if I had had a natural birth and my pelvis was ok, I'd probably want to get pregnant again straight away!!! lol

I just want my baby making days over before I get too old.. time's a tickin!!

Kiwi girl. I agree fully with gudsim when your ready and comfortable. I have had sex as soon as 2.5 weeks after delivering before with a c section I was hungry for it. But have no intention this time round of going there.. im still healing and im not that interested just rather sleep. Hubbie doesn't mind he is to busy too and needs sleep so there is absolutely no pressure which is great. As for contraceptive pills im scared to much about the links to cancer so refuse to take anything and have done for last 8 years pretty much. I am a faith person and i just think if its ment to be it will be Every time i have tried to get pregnant i have within 1 and a half months. Last time was in nz when we tried and left new Zealand preggers with josiah. A moon light made baby on glinks gully around a bon fire.

Aww that sounds like a nice romantic way to make a baby (except in my mind, the vision ends with someone reefing sand out of their butt crack.. lol)

I haven't even thought about protection yet... Jeesh.. don't even wanna think about it.. hate the pill.. hate condoms... but seem to fall pregnant quite easily if we use nothing (ie, first time trying for BOTH pregnancies...) so dunno what is left.. don't want needles, don't want anything "inserted"...

hmmm.... ok.. no sex seems to be the only option left....

ETA - Squidipa - where in Queensland are you from??

hehehe seems the gals in this group just need to think about sex and we fall pregnant!!
Although with this one, we actually wanted to get pregnant alot sooner - we tried for 6 months with no success and as soon as we gave up trying, *bang* it happened!

Cute pic in your ticker squidipa... caboolture isn't too far away from me, my sister lives in Morayfield at the moment, she is building a house at Narangba so will be moving soon.

And yes, it does seem like we should all avoid the wet patch in our beds.... lol

OMG I feel like we are neglecting Veygas ... we took pics of him on the 1st day after he was born and that's it! I keep meaning to take some, but it is really hard when I'm here by myself most of the time (and there have been some real Kodak moments in the bath!!) He also has a habit of smiling in his sleep, especially when I am holding him, so I can't run and get the camera - and those moments are always so fleeting!

I love your ticker one! And this one is awesome too!

Re: protection - I haven't been on the pill for 8 years, hated being on it so won't try the mini-pill while b/feeding. Guess will have to go back to condoms which aren't the most fun either *sigh*.. been so long since we've bothered with them since we started trying in November 2006 (had miscarriage and sagas last year). Man, is it that long ago?!?!

Just had my midwife here, she's so lovely and reassuring. Said the vomit would be to overfeeding if it's just once a day and not often after feeding. Eli now weighs 10lb 1oz at 10 days old - he put on 180g since Thursday!!

My two men are lying asleep together right now while I'm heating up dinner my friend dropped off (yay), they look so cute

I'm thinking of maccas for dinner.. and I know its bad.. cos I'm soooo fat... and I did start the day with good intentions to stick to my diet, but half a block of top deck and some twisties later... uh.... may as well give up the ghost.. there's always tomorrow right?!?!?!?

MM - I so know what you mean... we haven't really taken many pics of Mehkelti, and if we do now, Aricyn looks at us all funny so we end up taking more of him anyway.. lol

As predicted, all the best pics are when you don't have the camera close by... ie.... Aricyn giving Mehkelti a big hug after a nappy change... sweeeeeet.... he likes giving her her dummy as well.. even though she doesn't really like it.. and she was already asleep at the time.. pmsl....

ahhh.. at least he hasn't cried today!!!!! no screaming from the toddler - its been a great day..

Squidipa - the pics of Josiah are adorable!! He is such a little cutie!

Mel - Khaemon likes to stroke Veygas' head while he is sleeping (and Veygas obviously doesn't mind cause he doesn't stir!) The other night I had them both curled up on either side of me and Khaemon was stroking Veygas with one hand and my leg with the other! (he was clingy cause he wasn't well) It was so cute though, cause he put himself off to sleep by doing it!

The other thing Khaemon does is he is always trying to sit on my lap while I am feeding Veygas! More often than not, I have to get him to sit next to me ... if I can convince him that as soon as I am finished feeding Veygas we'll do whatever he wants!

As far as protection goes, who knows what we'll do?!?!?! Over the years, I've tried everything from the pill to the implants and nothing seems to work. My gyno says that I am one of those rare few women whose bodies react adversely to the artificial hormones. And need I say that condoms kinda suck in the heat of the moment?!?!?! Oh well, thankfully DP is away most of the time, and atm, we are to tired when he is home anyway!!

mountain mummy, thats so cute what young ones do and how they interact. As for the artificial hormones i am with ya they give me months of heavy bleeding. I already every 22 days loose my linning all in tact painful and so not good for the body...My period lasts 2 weeks. So we avoid that and use the pull out method. Im sorry TMI but i dont like Rubber latex silicon what ever in me bar from the real deal so connies are a NOPE!

thanks for your comments on my little mans pics. He has a nic name already smell bags2 hehe other than that joshie

hey kiwi girl if ever i make it to nz i would love for me and hubbie to meet you?? 180 grams oh my thats fantastic woohooooooo wow thats sooo good!
