Vic that's so cute - she's a real little chubba now! have you tried wrapping one arm in one arm out? that's what I've been doing... not ready to stop wrapping completely yet.

She is a chubba, loving the roll on her legs hehe, it is quite amusing as she has always had a double chin, it was just floppy skin for a long time ;) I am trying the one arm in one arm out this morning to see how she goes. She doesn't have trouble going to sleep not fully wrapped it is just when she is between sleep cycles that it all goes to crap :wall:

I guess our CHYN groups is called our Mothers Group ;) But our other is officially the Neonatal Playgroup hehe. They are just brilliant, sometimes it is just better to talk to mums face to face and see what they are doing differently.

Yay :cheer: Josh for the fabulous weight gain!!! Gee Squidipa he is really off and running now :)

I hope she stayed down overnight Pixie :) We still do a late feed and last night it was 11 when I got home as DH had gone to be at 10pm.....

Got the Bonboniere done, except for the last few as they didn't buy enough chocolates - oops!

Well off to do some more work have a fab day :) 34 here rather than the 42 we had yesterday at out house :o

Squidipa - yay for Joshie's weight gain!! He's almost caught up to Veygas!! :dance: I did a little unofficial weigh yesterday (I held veygas and stood on the scales, then I stood on by myself and subtracted the difference!) and got 7.7kg ... so he is back around what he was about 2 months ago! :o

Pixie - hope Beth slept better for you! :hug:

Well, my pantry is just about empty (decided to pack something different for a change in scenery! LOL!) Gonna start on cutlery and crockery today - and just leave enough out for a day's worth so we can still eat! :rofl: Curtains are all just about washed - hallelujah for the lovely weather we have been having! :dance: Outsides of windows are washed ... just got insides to do, oh and curtain rails are all cleaned too!

Hello to everyone else.

Well, we went to playgroup, was good, some bubs Gs age, lots older. She loved it. watching, taking it all in. and the mums were nice too, it runs every day so think il do a few different days, see which we like best.
She has got terrible nappy rash over night!! was a little pink yesterday but today it looks like raw meat!! she has NEVER had nappy rash before and my mum recons its teething....apparently they are linked?? is that even possible?? what does everyone use on nappy rash? i was given pawpaw cream a while ago, so im using that for now, see if it gets any better. dont like the highly chemical creams.

Vic, she stays down over night it's just getting her down that is the nightmare ATM.... last night was better so I think we're getting into the swing of a new routine. With Christmas and NYE and vaccinations and a cold it all just went to hell in a handbasket for a while....
Beck good to hear you had a great time at playgroup... our MG was talking about playgroups today.. someone is going to look into it! I've heard a bad nappy rash and diarrhea can go with teething also fever, flushed cheeks and general grumpiness but I hope you don't get them all at the same time!

Well, had a great day today.... went on the Bay Walk with MG at 8am :o then we went to the toy library! Beth thought that was a great outing and we bought home a toy for the week.... you have to pay so it is more a hire than a library, but I thought it would be good for those big bulky toys that are great for a week then they lose interest and it's taking up real estate for the next five years... we don't have room for that! we nipped up to the shops to buy some fish for dinner and had a quick dip in the pool! She woke up at 3 so hopefully she will be nice and tired to go down at seven :crossfingers: Wow it was hot here today, lucky we are on the water so we get the breeze - which is more like a force 10 gale right now!

hi there, josh had about 5 hour sleep today its startig to be the rutine we wakes has a quick cuddle then back down im trying to keep him up now as he hasnte aten any food today. ya think thats an issue?missing days?? he is only eating 1meal most days and it is VERY small like about 3 tablespoons at moment not in any hurry to rush that.

oh my:o today i did a BIG boo boo i sucked up in my awesome new vac a cord. It totally striped the cord down to the wire and even broke it in some places. It just so happends to be the cord for my voip modem. As i have a naked plan i now have no incomming phonecall or out going till i replace it so i have emailed the companie to try to get a replacement.

I made 13 batches of zuchinne cakes and yummo there are the weigh watchers version. We didnt have one of the ingreadiants and used self instead of plain flour but yummo. SO good freezing them for school lunches for kids.

ordered a new web cam today a 10mp one for 40 dollars. has anyone here taken xenical? how did ya find it?

So.... Jett had a good day yesterday. He did 3 poos! And the day before yesterday he did 2!! And this is from my day 7 pooer...he was right on schedule with Wednesday but yesterday I wasn't expecting it!

But he was happy and I certainly can't complain about that!

Super busy here, settlement got postponed a day, so we picked our keys up today and started moving stuff ... the movers come for the big stuff tomorrow arvo, so hopefully we can get most of the smaller stuff done.

I haven't slept since 2am this morning, stress and worry and panic and i am so exhausted right now, however we have another big day tomorrow, so I doubt I will sleep much tonight either! :wall:

I will also probably be offline for about a week or so while we move and wait for the phone and internet to get connected :doh:

I am sooo confused as to how I am going to get him to drop down his milk intake and up his solids - suggestions on how to do it? or do I just gradually decrease his milk down and up his solid amounts? I am sooo paranoid that he is gonna put on heaps of weight now hes on solids! I weighed him yesterday and he was 10.1kg :o :( I am really eager to have him measured next week (when the CHN is back from holidays) as I have noticed a huge difference in his length in the past week - I reckon he's gotta easily be 75-76cm now!

healthy weight for length kye is :) welll done mom. At moment josh is eating 1 meal a day of about 1/4th of a cup to a small jar. As for kye's milk , i just give josh what he wants i don't stick to deadlines or anything but nomally in feeding him he sleeps then has a milk. And thats working for us. He has lost 70 grams but im not worried as he has been unwell with a blocked nose. he is a bit better today.

Sash: i tried G with a bit of solids and she wasnt interested, so i cant speak from experience, but sounds like he is enjoying his food!! like squid said, il just follow DDs lead, i dont think there is a set amount to give or a time frame to do it in, aslong as he is happy and you are comfortable and confident with what your doing it doesnt matter.
I can understand what your saying about him gaining weight (it sounds like hes a big boy, but long too!) bet as soon as he starts crawling/walking etc any baby weight will probably just fall off!! :D

We have the MIL up from sydney for a few days, i get on really well with her which is great....but it always happens that Gs routine aways goes totally to pot when she comes to stay, wont go down to sleep, cries etc, drives me cray, especially when she has been so easy the last few days, now is driving me crazy, up at 3am, wont sleep till 5am and only for half an hour, then wont go back down till about 11am.
We are going to get a proper car seat for her tomorrow , get her out of this capsual, she screams so bad every time she is in it!! Any tips for a good one that can stay rear-facing for a while, she is 7kgs now.

Hey everyone, been very quiet in here! I just thought I would drop in and say hi...still here!

Jett has now had carrot and banana and apple in his solids. Not so keen on the apple, banana is def a fave and carrot goes down quite well too!! He enjoys the game of it, as we are doing BLS with the finger food that he holds and feeds himself, so these new toys are really interesting and tasty!! I can't help Sasha regarding Kye's solids. I know that milk should still be the staple food until he is one, but apart from that I'm not sure about how much or how often! Sorry!

Bec - we have the Safe N Sound Meridian which is able to be rear facing up to 12kgs. It is a fantastic comfy seat (Jett just loves it!) and he can use it up to 18kgs. It has adjustable and removable bits that you adjust to fit your baby as they grow. Not a cheap seat, but it has been a great investment for us so far, he sleeps so soundly in it!! :lol:

Ok, Jett is getting his 4month injections tonight (if I can get him there in time... he's asleep!). I know he is 5 months but he was sick at the time of the 2 month injections and so had them a month later. So we are behind schedule... the story of my life! :rofl:

Just popping in to say hi!! Still going on crazy January!! We have had one wedding and a round of hen's and bucks night, and this weekend we have a birthday Saturday, I am in a wedding Sunday and N and I are staying over for the night before the wedding, for a girls night ;)

N tried Avocado today and she sucked on a piece of watermelon, holding it in her mouth, she bit off a piece and I grabbed it out of her mouth, might have been a bit big, but I didn't want to take a risk!!

Beck, we have the S and S meridian retails aroun $469 as well, and have just bought a S and S Compaq retails arounf $355 Deluxe, both are reversible to 12kg :):)

Squidipa, Joshies has chubbed up now so a small loss is fine ;) They are also getting more active now so their gains drop right off! Oh and that really sucks about your EBAY, grrr!!!!

Sasha I think the amounts your are giving Kye are fine, I just give N what she wants, when she turns her head, pushes the spoon or spits it out, then that is it for that meal, letting her dictate how much she wants :)

hrmmm the saga on these passports just keep going on, firstly we had to get it sent back to perth so some on could garentor them and also sign the pictures. Finally getting them back we were like YAY! :dance:But then we needed someone to witness our sig's and not knowing anyone here we had to get a JP to do it so more delay's. Then yay now we can hand all this in.:clap:Only to find the garentor signed every photo thats 8 photo's of every child so we had to get them retaken.:doh: Then they said your daughter is 10 and she needs to sign and i didn't have her with me that week :(. So there was that then we get a phone call saying the JP stamped over their sigs so that was another delay.:wall: Plus the garentor was 3 days out on Josiahs age.

After getting all the photos redone and getting a second lot of paper work from Perth and daughter signing and Jp's re signing it was like :dance: woohooo

only bad thing next was i missed the mail man and had to go get them but on the way today some blinkin twit :angry: decided to turn left even tho they were in the far right lane at the corner of king and morayfield road out side police station and hit the side of my car. For those of u whom know that intersection i was in the middle lane left to me was the turning lane i was going straight forward and right hand lane is straight forward too he was in right hand lane.

i had no issues with him giving over details so that was good he was elderly in 70's. My son was in booster on the side it was hit and joshie on far side so was all good. The damage is a small dent across the drivers door and scrapings across drivers door to rear of car door. Could have been worse i guess. DS3 kept say he a bad man, he hurt your car mom. naughty man. The bloke didnt even ask if the kids were k or say sorry he seemed confused. He kept saying i was turning left... ahhh yeah but ya cant in the far lane:wall:

in end i got 3 kids passports and now we wait on hubbies passport and thats been a bit of a saga to posting back and forth from nz.

well im tired and warn out a real roller coaster of emotions today!

Hello!!!! I am just back from another trip away for 4 nights.. was a bit of a hard time but don't really want to go into it on BB publicly (msg me if you want to tho). Anyways..... E is great. He sits up so well now. He's sucked on a bit of fruit and LOVED it (strawberry, nectarine) but haven't started solids *yet*. However the last 3 nights he's woken up every 3 hours overnight eeek!! I am going to see if he keeps doing this and if he does I will likely start solids a 5 1/2 months (which he is on Thursday), instead of 6??

E is so sociable now, I love it! He also has quite a cheeky look every so often heh. STILL no rolling over but I'm kinda over trying to force it. He does try and "bum shuffle" (without success) and can push himself around quite a bit while lying on his back, so cute!

I have been annoyed that I lost a few posts on BB and also haven't been able to get on a few times, I guess there were problems with the boards?

I have some SUPER cute pics of Eli which I need to upload to FB soon.

Rach - E and K sound sooo similar. K is trying to roll, gets halfway and still can't figure out how to move his arm underneath :lol: I'm not pushing it either, figured he will do it when he's good and ready.

How does E go with being on his tummy? If I put K's U-pillow underneath him (like under his armpits) he is quite happy to just stay there, pushes up real well and doesn't crack it but if he doesnt have that underneath him he cracks it, so weird!

Squidipa - ya poor thing re: the passports. I'm in the process of having to get K's issued and mine renewed as we are booked to go back in March to see my bro and my nieces. It has been a big enough issue for me trying to get guarantors etc.... your scenario sounds so frustrating! But yeah hearing ya as I kinda had a similar thing happen, the person I had to witness my photo; she filled the form in correctly and dated it 06/01/09 but then when she dated the photo she put it around the other way i.e 01/06/09 :doh: so I had to get her to resign it! :wall:

I lodged K's application on Monday so hopefully there is no hiccups and I will have it in 10 days time. Going to post mine off next week.

Anyways woke up at 330am and couldnt get back to sleep so thought I'd pop in here and catch up. Going to watch the Obama Inuguration on CNN now.

I am feeling really bad right now. I was reading through the new posts and stumbled across one which was discussing Jumperoo's and Exersaucers. Apparently use of them can cause all sorts of spinal and hip problems later in life.... I hired a Jumperoo for K about a month ago - I just feel sooo s**ty right now that I may of set him up to have problems in the future. Especially with the weight he is!! OMG why didn't I think!!
I feel so s**t I am actually crying!! :lol:

I guess one good thing is that I have at least realised now and not 6 months down the track. It might at least prevent further damage. But still I cant help feeling bad :(

It isn't due to be returned until March but I'm going to email her today and tell her I have finished with it.

OK post over - I'm going now to give my boy a big hug and say I'm so so sorry!

Sasha - those things can cause damage - but if used ALL the time - like you have the kids in there for AGES.. unless you had him in there for an hour at a time, I don't think you have done any damage at all. The recommended amount of time is about 10-15 minutes max.. :hug: dont' feel bad. Not like these things are told to us on the packaging - otherwise people would never buy them!!!!!

I hired a Jumperoo for K about a month ago - I just feel sooo s**ty right now that I may of set him up to have problems in the future. Especially with the weight he is!! OMG why didn't I think!!

BIG :hug: :hug: i used those for my all my kids and none of them have any issues. Dont feel bad i dont feel you have done any harm or anything wrong. Your a great mom and it clearly shows. As you know Ds3 was HUGE and not as long as K was at that age im sure , and he also spent lots of time in a jolly jumper and he is fine. Please dont worry. Altho if at all concerned at a dr k! Sasha: like someone said, i dont think they cause any problems unless you leave them in there for hours at a time, We have a jolly jumper, G loves it but only goes in it for about ten mins at a time normally once a day but we have some days where we dont use it.
I used a baby bjorn (sp) for the first few months then read that they were bad for the spine, sometimes it was the only place she would be happy and wed walk for an hour. Dont use it much now after i read that though, only when we are getting the bus somewhere.
Your a great mum and im sure you havent done any damage. But big hugs :hug: i know how you feel!!

Sash don't feel bad, I'm sure K will be OK. Lots of people have used them and I'm sure not all of their babies had problems. Like anything with babies if you limit it to short periods of time and watch them while they play they are usually ok. Take it easy on yourself OK :hug:
Squiddy what a drama!!! I can't believe you had to go through all that to get the passports sorted but :dance: that it's all done now! and bummer abut that guy hitting your car, and the ebay thing too.... did you complain to ebay?
Mel bummer about the sick kids, hope they feel better soon..... well it's so hot here today i'm melting ... went for 7k walk at 8am and it was pretty hot and awful. Going to get cake shortly though so that should compensate....

Thanks for the reassurance everyone! Guess I kinda just had a panic attack haha I know I shouldn't beat myself up about it. He hasnt had long spurts in it but yeah still :lol:

On another note - I whipped up a combination of vege before - avocado, carrot, zuchinni, a teeny weeny bit of baby silverbeet and a teeny weeny bit of broccoli and gave it to him for lunch. Wasn't sure whether he would like all the green vege on its own so I also mixed a bit of the Rafferty's apple, pear and cinnamon in too hahaha
OMG he fully scoffed it. So guess what I'm keeping him on for a while LOL Lets hope he doesnt have a reaction cause I wouldnt be able to tell what it was from haha

I've backed off on the pumpkin and sweet potato cause the past few times I have given it to him red spots have appeared on his face and all around his mouth so don't know whether he is sensitive to those or not :dunno: Guess I will just have to try giving it to him every now and then and monitor it.


He's been asleep since 12:15pm; poor fella was so buggered. He's had a big morning. I went for a 2 hour walk with a friend (do it Mon, Wed and Fri's) oh and last night he slept through from 7:30pm until 5:45am after only having 690ml for the day :hooray: so I am going with keeping him around 700 (if I can of course) until we see the nurse again on Tuesday. Will be interesting to see what he gains on a weekly basis only having 700mls! Probably still 200-250g per week :rofl:

Anyways gotta shoot, gonna grab a sandwhich before he wakes up!

ive strated taking xenical to loose the last few kilo's and today i ahve seem the most impact or should i say seen the evidence that somethigns happening, have any of u all tried it before?

sasha - Hi!!! E is OK being on his tummy, sometimes he's quite happy there other times he's annoyed at me for putting him on his tummy... E and K are definitely alike - so funny about their arms getting in the way - he lies there half over then can't be bothered doing anything about it!! *Hugs* about the jumperoo - I honestly think no-one except yourself would feel bad about it, I doubt it'd do any harm for that short amount of time! Isn't it hard how every decision you feel you're being judged by someone/some group/some rules? *sigh*

Well E had the most miniscule amount of banana mush today. He wasn't that excited by it.. more interested in sucking on a nectarine lol.

Oh yeah, E can stand up against furniture now too :D

wow about the standing, joshie loves standing and normally stand him up on the chair and sit behind him he is also ahving small spell's of sitting upright too. Thanks for the invite but the inlaws will be collecting us and all our crap :lol: i mean luggage hahaha in a traylor on way to and from air port so sorta not possible . where are u again?
