Thanks for the info misty, it's really helpful to hear what other people are doing. I feel like I am confident with BF now, but I know nothing about introducing solids! He certainly enjoys eating so I am wrapt with that. Thanks again, hun.

Wow, I thought I had the biggest bub here by far but he's in 00s and 0s mostly??
Solids - we're starting this week sometime...when I have the time! LOL I skip RC all together and go straight for mashed vegies (don't do purees either). Starting with potato and sweet potato and see how he goes with those before introducing some greens. Then in a little while will introduce some fruit.
Under no illusion that it will help with night sleep though...never made a lick of difference with my others.
Willow - Let us know how you go with solids! I'll be trying Alana on them within the next couple of weeks.
Hi to everyone else! Sorry for no more personals, I don't get enough time these days!
Alana turned 5 months old last weekend and on the same day started moving backwards across the floor. She is pushing herself up onto her knees briefly or kind of lifting herself up with her toes keeping her legs straight (ITMS!) and she madly tries to go forward. I don't think it will be long before she works out how to go forwards, she's super keen! She absolutely loves jumping in her Jumperoo, it's so cute watching her jump around and giggle . It's been a life saver because she gets so frustrated not being able to move around on the floor yet.
Her night sleep was going really well, but the last few nights she's been waking up quite a few times. She's not hungry so I have no idea what the problem is . Hopefully tonight is better.
Well we've been offering solids for two days now. First time we just gave him mashed steamed potato and mixed some EBM with it. He did NOT rate it at all! So tonight we mixed in some steamed sweet potato mashed up and he liked that a lot better. He ate quite a bit actually. I am going to start offering solids at lunch time though, night times are too hectic around here.
Bannana is the winner in this house, closely followed by rockmelon then watermelon. We just squish it in he's teething mesh thing and he loves to feed himself.
I have not had time to post here... I keep writing responses and then either loosing them or closing the browser before I hit post will attempt a better response tomorrow... lol too tired now
Drama's with building and they haven't even started yet! grr. I shouldn't be surprised really, just wondering where we are going to pull the extra money we seem to need for everything from.
Oh and I have to have a root canal done today.
Sigh.
Well on the bright side... at least interest rates didn't rise yesterday...
Baz is still a little grizzily and gumming everything, but still no teeth yet. He nearly got himself to sitting position last night, but he got excited and knocked himself over - it was so funny to watch. I cann't believe how quickly time has flown by and how big he is getting.
