Hi Girls, it`s been so long since I posted in here, the flu bug hit hard in July leaving Adrian extremely sick with 39 degree temps for a week plus vomiting and diarrhoea and would only have breastfeeds, it was such a worry but because he was still drinking he wasn`t sick enough for hospital IYKWIM.

Adrian had a wonderful Birthday big brother Matthew loved helping with unwrapping presents and playing with the toys. Adrian is up and standing all the time now, he has lots of words, I think having a brother just 15 months older has helped his vocabulory come along.

Teeth: we have 8 plus all 4 molars are cutting, we have 2 of them poking their heads through but the other two omg his poor gums are so red and bruised looking, poor boy.

Went for his 12 month check up, the boofa boy is up over the 97th percentile, I couldn`t believe it considering he didn`t eat solids for a week while he was sick, so he`s now 13kg and 84cms long.

Like all our bubs he`s into everything and keeping us on our toes. Matthew is forever letting him out the door.

sleeping - still getting up about 5 times each night, I`m always so tired.

I better go we`re going away for our first family holiday this weekend, going to Canberra then Melbourne, really looking forward to it, we`re taking SIL`s caravan, it`s tiny so it`s going to be nice and cosy in there with 2 teenagers, 2 little ones and DH and myself - perhaps we`re mad!!!!!

Take Care Girls and Happy Belated Birthday to all the babies

How is everyone? Had a good today up until 5pm (witching hour!)Ben didn't like dinner, I hadn't cooked so I gave him a baby boost pouch for 10mth olds to try the lumps again and he did not like it to say the least! Gave him another baby boost pouch that I know he likes as it is so smooth but he was having none of it, threw everything up! Ended up having just soy yoghurt which of course he loved and some milk before bed. Phew, then Oscar my 4yr old decided he didn't want to sit at the table and eat his dinner while I bathed Ben, so the witches were definitely about! Oscar had a swim lesson today, that always tires him out, so perhaps I should have been a little more forgiving.
Does anyone else find at the end of the day you have to sometimes tread very carefully?
We seemed to have missed all the lurgy's about, thankfully. Had a run of ear infections with Ben that seemed to have just disappeared.
Hope everyone is happy and healthy, alot of the Melbourne people seemed to live in the east,we used to too, and I miss it.

Dee, you put down your ds's weight. Jensen weighed in at 8.4kgms at his birthday!
    He is still in 00's!!
My boy looks like a tiny baby compared to his little buddy who is a month younger than him.
He has tripled his birthweight though!
happy belated birthday to your ds!

Hi All, it's been a while!! Well, Ben is being a little bit of devil. Still loves the pureed stuff, give him some finger food like baby corn and you would think I was poisoning him.... funnily enough he eats a sandwhich and toast and banana and even ritz biscuits. Just have to keep trying him I suppose, I tried giving him some well cooked pasta and even that he doesn't like. I do love this age though, he is such a charmer, always has smile (except when he has to get out of the bath).

Both boys are health and happy and of course that makes for a healthy and happy household.

    Hi all!
had Jensen in doctors a lot lately. He has had a cough that sounded evil, throat, chest and ear infections.
    Cost me a fortune!
He also had to visit his ophthamologist to see if he needs more surgey on his eyes and it looks like he will have to have his right eye done again.

    Hi girls Welcome!

Catherine, poor Jensen Hope he is over the worst of it now. When does he need to have his eye operated on?

I went into the city yesterday and gone is my happy little pram sitting man. Talk about scream and wriggle. I let him have a wander about in the toy dept of Myer so that kept him happy for a bit but you should have seen my try and put him back in. O_M_G talk about a feral child. I'm convinced that his Daddy had a quiet whisper in his ear before we left so that I'd have to come back early and not spend any money

Hi Everyone, Hope all goes well with Jensen's op, is it a turn they are correcting?
Ben is doing much better at the whole foods although still won't takle anything but pureed at dinner. He now finally eats whole fruits such as kiwi, grapes and strawbs and even had a bit of my husbands brekky bar this morning! I am a little frustrated to say the least with dinner though, the other day at creche he ate vege spiral pasta and the day before that a Ben friendly (dairy free) Tuna mornay. So.......I tried the pasta at home and he just throws it around and will not eat it.
We takled Ikea at Richmond yesterday (v busy!!)Ben's red hair and cheeky smile at anyone who looks at him gets him alot of attention when we go out, quite handy as it keeps him amused and content. Oscar just loves to go on Dad's shoulders, he is a bit lazy to walk around especially when Dad is around!
Hope all the sick little ones get better soon and very quickly.

Jensen will probably just have his right eye done this time as the first surgery corrected the squint in his right eye.
He is trashing the lounge and pulling on my vertical blinds as I write this.
Will give more info when I have it.

Heather I was going to call into Ikea on Sunday but spent longer that I thought in the city so didn't have time. Ben sounds cheeky not eating pasta for you He'll be an eating machine soon enough.

Catherine hope you blinds are holding up. We haven't got proper curtains in the living areas, just calico ATM. It gets me down sometimes but then I catch Caleb giving them a good yanking and I think that by the time I get them then (hopefully) he'll be over the curtain fascination!

Caleb has popped out 2 new teeth this week so now has 5! No wonder he has been a narky pants and not sleeping.

    Hi everyone
I'm fairly new to BB, I have a lovely daughter born 25th Aug. 2006 and two older children aged 4 and 8. They keep me busy!
Taegan I hope you have settled in and find some friends soon in Melbourne I find having a baby a great ice breaker when first joining a play group. Maybe you could start a thread and ask if anyone knows of a good playgroup in you area?

    Hi,
Taegan, you could try your local MCHN (health centre), they are pretty good at knowing who's who and perhaps could put you in touch with an existing mum's group. Are you in the north, west east or south? We live in whats called the new West and every second person is either pushing a pram or about too it's a huge baby boom out here to say the least. Our area I think is number 1 in Melbourne for growth.

Catherine, when we first moved into our house 4yrs ago (it was built new), I refused to move in without curtains or blinds, we did the DIY from Lincraft as a temporary measure and they are still up, glad we didn't go spend the thousands you can as we have a white fluffy cat and two boys who like to play peek a boo behind them.
Well, have given up on the whole foods for Ben for a while for dinner, after two disappointing nights again where he ate only yogurt one night and custard the other I am going back to puree with adding orzo or rice as he doesn't mind the lumps. He is also good on whole fruits and breads so he is doing ok (he is definitely not fading away at 10kg. He is a big boy and my neck and shoulders know it.
    bye for now

    Hi everyone,

Well I should be weighing myself and entering my stats. in the weight loss support forum, but I'm putting that off until I BF Ebony as I'll need all the help I can get after a big weekend of parties
Taegan, as you can see I'm still learning how to do things too, I accidentally entered my last post twice and I couldn't find away to fix it Ebony is doing really well, and is teething madly with 4 established teeth and 4 poking through. she is normally quite a happy bub, but has been unsettled over the last week (maybe from the teeth). She has been walking from around 11mths which was probably prompted by having to get around on cold tiles. She loves the outdoors and will make a bee line for any door left open. She paid the price for this love the other day when she got bitten by two green ants, we were sitting on the verandah watching her big brother catch the bus, when she started to cry I looked over and noticed her flicking at a green ant, I flicked off the green ant then took her inside to put on some sting goes spray on a bite on her belly, when I had finished I noticed that she was still moving her arms around and making unhappy sounds so I lifted of her shirt and found another green ant on her shoulder, it had bitten her around 10 times, poor darling. I felt really bad for not taking all her clothes of straight away but I had thought that I had found the culprit and dealt with him.

    Hi all
Well long time no post! SORRY. I have been very busy now that there are 2!
William is loving being a big brother and has been an angel. I didn't expect him to cope as well as he has, but I suppose he is too young to be jealous.
William's 2 top teeth have come through so he now has 5. Soon to be 8 though as there are another 3 about to pop any day now.

    Sammi~ How are you going??

    Hi everyone!
