Oh Heather, that's so not nice - my first DD had this when she was about 13months and lost so much weight no one else got it but we were really vigulant with washing hands and stuff. It's not that common for adults to get it and if we do we don't get it anywhere near as bad as the kids do and apparently the first time they get it is the worst.
Hope they get over it soon - keep up the fluids - my gp wasn't worried about DD not eating just make sure she drank and also he suggested to give her some jelly cause that's made up of water and they consider this fluids - it did help cause she thought it was a novalty.
