Caixin thats terrible honey, i hope you recover quickly! I can realte to coming out of GA and trying to look after bubs it is not nice. Thats great your MIL is still here and can help out.
Oh Caixin: that's horrible, so sorry that had to happen to you. How awful. Sounds like it's good that some of the gang are still there to care for you and Claire. hope you heal quickly. How annoying to have to be restitched in the undercarriage!
Thanks ladies for all the kind words, really needed them. I had already forgotten how sore my undercarriage was after the birth now it's all coming back to be. So uncomfortable to even be sitting down and I'm scared of doing my number 2s again :( Been having cramps on my little thighs, not sure if it's from the GA or from the stirrups that they put me in. At least the bleeding has eased off.
Renee: It's certainly so hard to try to look after bub after a GA. I just feel that I want to do it so much but don't have the energy to do it and keep dozing off to sleep.
For those with cracked nipples (esp Kirsten, yours sound terrible!), do try Multi mum compresses. I got given some samples at lactation clinic and they worked so well! My nipples have now healed and are not sore anymore. I think you can get from just from a chemist. They feel so good too on sore nipples and it's safe for bubs to nurse too.
We got some ALdi nappies and I think they work really well. The newborn ones are bigger than the Huggies newborn ones. They are not as absorbant for overnight use as Huggies but still work pretty well.
Claire's going to have to start on Vit D supplements coz I was Vit D deficient pre-preg. They come in pineapple flavours, not sure if she will like it. :P Hope all the crying babies are giving everyone a break here and there.
I don't know if anyone cares or wants to look but I posted a photo of my post baby belly in my pregnancy album on FB but didn't publish it so you have to go look for it.
I am curious to see other post baby bellies!! There is this website theshapeofamother.com that I was looking at, it's been posted on here a while ago. But I sent in my story and some photos so can't wait for that to be added. I love the idea of the website!!! Has anyone else ever seen it?
MrsBexie: I've seen that site before, it's great! Your belly looks fantastic, mine is similar but I have a bit more pudding than you hehe! I've got the hip stretchies & stretchies on my lower tummy. You look great!!!
I've got HEAPS of bum stretchies and round the back of my hips, my thighs luckily escaped stretchies but I have plenty of cellulite!!! I am doing plank for 30secs in the morning n night cause not allowed to do sit ups yet. LOL...
The site is awesome hey?
My legs are covered in cellulite now :( I used to wear denim shorts before I got Preg and I think I'll forever be in knee length skirts now. I think that's the biggest change in my body is cellulite and it goes to my knees, I hate it!
I have stretchies on my boobs as well.
I think I might start doing the plank! I walked 7ks this morning, I want to walk every day & need to do lots of squats, not sure if they will help I've been told you can't get rid of cellulite!
The site is great :)
Oh god my boobies are covered in stretchies!! HAHA.. that's what you get when you go from a 10A to a 12DD-E!!! stretchies are all over my boobs, and they are in the itchy stage!! yuck.
Hear ya on the cellulite! I am wearing shorts but I have it on the front of my thighs. Been doing squats too! I wish I could walk! :( Might start this week anyways, it's still painful with my hip but at least I am not limping anymore!
7kms is AWESOME!!! Good job sweets!! And you can get rid of cellulite!!! Drink lots of water and do stuff like the walking and squats and slowly it will go! :)
Caixin all that trauma sounds horrible! I couldn't imagine going back to square one with the undercarriage, really feel for you. Glad you still have helping hands at home.
Bex, Babyluv: I've been easing back into the fitness to, especially now that the kgs have stopped falling off by themselves I have to start working them off or it'll come back on! Started out with 20 reps at 10kg twice a day, now I'm up to 75 reps twice a day and one lap of the block and bridge at night. I've always had to work hard to keep weight off so that even with BF is only just enough to keep stable but not actually lose any extra! My stretches are actually not bad and only on the front of my lower belly, but I've been using bio oil at least once daily (even still now) since 12 weeks pg.
Had more to say but g wants my attention again... Hope all mums and bubs (and dads!) are doing well x
Wow little_mrs that's alot of reps well done :)
I'm not sure how much I weigh, I was a size 8, my pre Preg jeans now go up but I can't button them up yet. I think I've got maybe 5-10kgs to lose. I need to start doing more. All I've done is walking, no exercises yet. Tomorrow will be the day :) I'm a bridesmaid in April & I don't want to be the fatty out of the three! My arms even have cellulite, it's on the front of my legs too Bex & it's really bad :(
I used bio oil & coconut oil every day, twice a day too from when I found out I was Preg but I think it's in the genes for me, mum n sis have them bad!
I was a size 8 too.. I have lost half of the pg weight, so like 8kgs, only 9 more to go!! I want to get down to 60kgs for me which is a size 10.
My actual pre-pg weight is less than that but I only counted from 60kgs because that is where I normally sit if I actually eat.. lol. so I will be happy with that (if it is possible to be happy with your body, I am yet to experience this....)
Obesity runs in my family genes... everyone apart from me and one set of cousins, are over size 16 but most are approx size 20 or above... on both sides of my family. YAY. Not, I have to work my arse off to stay thin.
Not talking to either of you bex or Babyluv with you size 8 selves! Lol I don't think I've been a size 8 since I was 14!!! Normally sit around 62-65 kg or size 12 so am keen to get back to that but I feel happy with my body at the moment (considering!) and you girls should too! I have 10kg left to lose but my problem area from pregnancy is my back, I managed to gain back fat!!! Yuk!!
Oh god the back fat!! Trying on bras today, I noticed I have back fat even when I am not arching my back!!
And little mrs: I bust myself to stay size 8!!!! Trust me, it does NOT come naturally.. I have to starve for it (literally). I naturally sit around 60kgs, not 50-55kgs like I made myself stay before getting pg. I like you have to work very hard to stay fit and slim...
I am sturggling to be happy with my body but I am trying to be kind to myself... it's only been 3 weeks...
Me too :( I wish I could be happy with my body but I'm not but to be honest I never have been. I've always been so hard on myself, I'm a perfectionist.
I would love to be happy with my body & I know I should embrace the way I look but I can't, I hate the stretch marks & cellulite. I'm disappointed at how much my body has changed from pregnancy :(
I'll never wear my short shorts or bikini again. I sound so superficial. Argh I can't explain it!
Its not superficial... You are being honest and it is something that affects a LOT of women!! And you will wear shorts n a bikini again!! Both of us will. We will just hve to work at it and give ourselves time!!! It won't happen overnight.
Time sweets time... That's all we need.
Xx
sorry ive been reading just not posting
babyluv- u will be suprised that you just might love your body, give it time to heal from having a baby....
I hated my body but after having DS1 i learnt to embrace my curves and love it for what it has come after growing a little baby :) its amazing
i now dont care its been 5wks since i had Kaidyn last time i weighed myself i was 80kgs so be it, im not fat but im not skinny either and if ppl dont like how i dress they can go ****off :)
before i got pg with Kaidyn i was the smallest ive ever been since turning 18 and that was a size 12 i plan on getting back there!
my point before DS1 ive never wear short shorts but i do now :) (ull never see me in a bikini)
Gosh all the exercise talk is making me envious. I so wished I could be back exercising. Had all these plans to start doing more this week, walking and also more ab exercises but after Saturday, back to square one again. OB has me back to resting for at least another 2 wks! And no carrying heavy stuff either for at least one week coz of the stitches.
Haven't put myself back on the scales since week 2 but pretty sure I haven't lost much more weight as I still can't pull my pre-preg jeans up. I'd be happy to be able to get back to a size 10 even though I used to be a size 8 pre-preg.
Had my MCHN appt today and Claire's got another growth spurt! Put on 600g in 2 wks and also 3 cm. Glad she's growing so well given that I feel like being milked all day :P Love how she's so much more responsive nowadays and would gaze at me non stop if I held her.
Oh... and I don't know if anyone is the same but I JUST fell in love with Claire on Saturday. Before that she was just a baby and I knew she was mine but didn't feel the connection. But on sat after I woke up from my GA, she was crying in the room. My MIL put her to my chest and she stopped crying, starting staring at me and trying to 'talk' to me. She even gave me a little smile. Suddenly I felt that I would do anything and everything for her, I fell in love. :) 10 months late but I'm glad it happened.
Aw Caixin, that sounds horrible what you've been through. I'm so glad you still have people around to help you out at home and hopefully you are recovering ok. What a stress for you, take it easy and keep your feet up as long as you can.
Bex and Babyluv, don't be too hard on yourselves, your bodies will recover and although they might not look exactly like they did before I hope you can love them anyway for the precious gift they've given you. I think it's probably harder for those who were obviously in good shape like you two (size 8 you say?!) prior to getting pregnant. I was a size 12 before and used to have issues with my body when I was a teenager, but I'm not focused on it at all now. I've actually lost my pregnancy weight but my body shape has changed so much, but I'm going to take time to get back to where I want to be. I had put on 5 kg in the year before getting pregnant, so would still like to lose another 5 kg to get back there, but it's going to take time. All I'm doing for now is walking 20 minutes most days, but I think it's the breastfeeding that's working for me!
Caixin - That's a good growth spurt for Claire, you're doing a great job feeding her. I feel like a cow being milked all day too! Don't worry that it's taken time to fall in love with Claire, everyone is different and your heart will be hers forever now. I fall more in love with Kai each day, especially when he's staring into my eyes or making little cooing noises at me or smilling (I swear he's been smiling for a week or two now even though everyone else tells me it's just wind, stupid people). Sometimes it's a bit harder to love him when he screams all night though, he he.
do they coo while holding them, kaidyn doesnt :( how upsetting
Caixin: it took like 3-4 days for me to really "love" Charlotte... I mean I knew I loved her and she was mine but that overwhelming feeling didn't kick in for 3-4 days. From then it's a daily choice! I struggle when she is screaming all the time... Lol who wouldn't?
Go Claire!! She must be feeding like a champ now! So are your supply issues all sorted now?
Sunny*girl: good job on losing the baby weight already! That's awesome! In the first week or so I didn't care about my body really, I was more focused on Charlotte and having people here like my mum, the funeral etc.. But now everyone is gone, DH is back at work and I am home alone, it's back in my focus... Because I am bored and have no one to talk to or hang out with (Charlotte doesn't count! Lol) it's hard not to focus on the fact that I fit NONE of my pre pg clothes... Lol.
I wish Charlotte coo'd at me... She is either sleeping, feeding or screaming. No cooing for us. :(
I don't think I am coping well... I am just really stressed and when she screams all the time I just get upset and angry she won't stop! How mean is that?!! It's not her fault and yet I am getting mad at her. I want to enjoy her and love her but I just feel like... Well that I was still pg. I love her, a LOT... Don't get me wrong there, just not handling it and wish we could have some just nice quiet awake time where she studies my face or coos at me like the other babies are doing to you guys... :( I sound like a horrible mum.
Firstly bex and babyluv you girls have nothing to worry about. You should see my tummy!!! Having a 4.7kg baby does not do wonders for your tummy or the muscles in your tummy. I was always prone to stretchies and have them all over my tummy right up to my belly button. It is disgusting!!!! I haven't been able to exercise cause of the c/section and cause i am not breastfeeding often the weight isn't falling off like those of you who are. I am going to have to live in nanna undies for the rest of my life!!!!
Bex you are not the only one who feels like that honey. I wasn't able to bond with ava during my birth experience and in the days following cause i couldn't move out of the bed. She doesn't want to have 'play' time either where she is happy just to lay and look around or even let us hold her and her be calm. When she wakes she is usually so hungry she screams till she gets food. Then she is unsettled till she goes back off to sleep. I do love her more than anything but sometimes just wish we could sit or lay for a minute without the screaming!
Has anyone tried the dri bots or babylove brands of nappies? Because my darling girl was so big she is just about out of huggies newborn, after 1 box, but she is too small for the next box sized huggies which are from 6-11kgs. Huggies do make a 4-8kg one but they come in a bag and are really expensive. I am able to swap the 3 boxes of newborn nappies i haven't used but only for that 6-11kg box. I need an in between nappy?
Sunnygirl: I'm really lucky to still have some help for the next 2 days, but PIL are leaving on Weds so will be truly on my own then. A little nervous about what will happen then. A lot of people talk about how it's love at first sight but certainly not for me. Even through the pregnancy I didn't really feel that connection with bubs until now. I was getting a little worried before coz in the first few weeks she felt kinda of foreign to me yet it seems she should be the closest person on earth to me. I think it's definitely a smile (not just wind!), esp when Claire chuckles in her sleep, I think it's a nice dream she's having. Probably thinking of how she can milk her mum better! LOL
Mitzqtie: Don't worry about not cooing. Every baby is different and I'm sure Kaidyn will do it when you least expect it! :)
Mrs Bexie: The supply issues seem to have sorted themselves out after all the hard work with pumping after feeds, fenugreek etc. Thank god! My nipples have toughened up too so BF is so much fun now. :) My boobs are starting to soften but I think I should still be producing enough milk given that she's had that growth spurt. You're a terrific mum!!! I think every mum finds it hard to not get angry when they are screaming non stop. I've certainly had thoughts of wanting to throw her away when she wouldn't stop crying in the first few weeks (very ashamed of the thought now) and DH said he felt the same thing to me yesterday. But I think I've learnt to cope a bit better by telling myself that the crying will stop eventually and I just need to be there while it lasts, instead of thinking to myself what's wrong and why wouldn't she stop crying. That is after I've fed, changed, carried her etc. The cooing will happen, just wait :)
Renee: Have u tried the aldi nappies? They are slightly larger than the huggies newborns and are reasonably priced too. How is your c/s wound healing?
Bex: Hun trust me I have felt like this, when Sienna has screamed for 8hrs straight there have been times where I've been so upset I've told DH to just take her away. I sit there & cry & I've had an anxiety attack because I've not known what the hell to do! Being a mum is really hard, we all have our moments and that's perfectly normal so long as we can still smile when we're having a good day. Sienna has only made a cpl of coo's & she is the oldest one here. She is grizzly more than she is content. You're a great mummy ok, you need to keep telling yourself that, you're doing sma great job Hun & how you're feeling is perfectly normal :)
Caixin: good to hear your supply has sorted itself out, mine still hasn't & Sienna is still getting top ups a col times a day.
Renee: I've heard good things about babylove nappies but then again a cpl ppl recommended Aldi nappies to me & we are using them Now but I don't like them much although if she is just out of the huggies the aldi infant 4-6kgs would fit her, 56 for $13 but they seem very thin, we haven't had any leaks yet though.
Renee: babylove nappies in newborn size are much bigger than huggies! We took a pack of babylove ones to Coffs with us just after C was born and they were way to big on her but it was all we had!! So for a bubs who is out of newborn huggies but not into the Next size up, babylove may be ok. I personally don't like them anyways cause the "poo pouch" doesn't work and pop explodes out of them...
My SIL uses the aldi ones and LoVES them, that's what we will be using after her newborn ones run out... And they are way cheaper! Snugglers (big w) ones are also really good in the 4-8kg ones and they cone in a big cheap box too..
Thanks girls! Just having a hard few days... A little depressed and just keepin my eye on it! Hopefully it's just the hormones. It's good to know I am not the only one!
Renee: Go the snugglers for an in between nappy! Georgia is too big for the huggies newborn too and the snugglers 4-8 kg are fantastic, no leaks or smells and they really pull the moisture away from the skin. Cheaper than huggies too. I was given some Babylove ones and they leaked when she poo'd too so I'd stay away from them.
Bex: it is hard when they cry so much, especially when your on your own alot I think I'd probly feel the same if I didn't have Dave home so often to help out. I've found the dummy useful to as g was crying just to suckle and me being upset was just making her stress more, I've found if I'm relaxed and happy then she settles alot easier. Vicious circle sometimes, but if you can take 5 mins to have a shower (with the door shut so you can't hear her cry) and calm down when c is being a terror you'll find it easier. I know that might sound a bit mean but like my HCN said to me, they've never seen a baby die from crying.
Caixin: fantastic work on the growth spurts! And when the pil leave just remember your rest and comfort comes before housework! Go easy on yourself for a bit so you can heal!
AFM no wonder G was draining me and wanting more last week, she did the same as Claire! 600g in 11 days, she's catching up to Ava's birth weight!!! We've started using the dummy but not at night, made such a difference to my stress levels! She had her day and night mixed up yesterday tho, slept well during the day but we were up feeding all damn night! I just woke from a much needed nap and she's still asleep on my chest. Had a great morning tho she likes when I sing and pull faces at her, responding really well.
Is anyone elses stitches still really sore - besides Caixin - 3 weeks on and I had to take painkillers this morning it was that bad!
OMG Charlotte will not stop screaming!! She fell asleep on my boob after a full feed then a big top up feed too, I put her in her bassinet and she didn't stir, then 10 mins later all hell broke loose. She burped like 3-4 times, she has a clean bum, she is full... why is she still screaming??? She won't stop being picked up either...
I just googled it and I think she does have silent reflux, that's why she gets the hiccups after every feed, cries all the time, sometimes with no warning, doesn't sleep well, doesn't like being put down (because it's always in laying down positions) she has wet sounding burps but never vomits.
Would I go to my GP for it or someone else?? Maybe trying her on Zantac will work, I don't know! I just can't bare her crying all the time!!
I havent got much time to reply but i wish you all well with the reflux! it must be horrible!!!
Liam has been good, I breastfeed him and then he will have a whole bottle of formula and then he will finally fall asleep, we have had problems latching on in the last few days where would ruin my nipples and make them flat resulting me to screaming, he clicks with his tongue at the end of the feed, i poke his cheek and say no! this morning he did it again and when i he pulled off he laughed!!! and then he did it again, it was adorable despite it hurting i couldnt have been prouder of my little cheeky monkey.
How long are you guys at the boob at a time? Liam will be on there well over an hour and still be hungry. I didn't think my milk supply was low though :(
Renee, I returned two boxes of the newborn huggies with no problems as long as i had the receipt. I dont know about the rest of you, but the huggies if you have a boy its harder to use even if the willy is down, sometimes it moves and it ends up leaking everywhere! it is so annoying :/ Aldi ones i had no problems with.
I have a box of the target nappies and babylove, will be using them. will be looking into the snugglers too :)
I have to run, gotta go to the MCHN to see if he has put on any weight, he had only put on 30 grams last week :/ hopefully he should be back up to his birth weight this week as he feels real heavy!!!
Lots of love! x
Bex- i swore Kaidyn had silent reflux cause everything your describing is Kaidyn to a capital T also...I went to my GP as told no-one but GP can give anything for reflux the Dr said no i wont give anything until u come back and says hes been vomitting, well im now booked in today at 1:15 to hopefully get some Zantac and give that ago hopefully if he will give it to me cause K has started vomitting now not all the time but he still vomits
So i wish you goodluck and i hope your GP is better then my GP cause hes made me live through this for another week!!
What?! That's crap!! Silent reflux babies don't vomit! Stupid GP!! I'd just lie and say he is vomiting. Lol.
We are booked in for 4:20 at my gp, and I called my MW and she told ms there is a LC working at the chemist near my place today n tomorrow if I want to go down and talk to her, but would a LC be able to do anything about reflux? I was kinda confused cause we have no probs BF'ing...
Well we had a horrible morning that consisted of charlotte screaming and me breaking down and sobbing... DH had just left for work so that was good cause I didn't want him to see me that upset! It would worry him all day!!! So she screamed and I cried for a good 10 mins... Then I attached her to my boob still both crying n screaming and finally settled her laying on my side feeding her... Wow. All before 6:30am! She was alrigh the rest of the morning and I had our first shower together without DH here to dry her... I just dripped everywhere an air dried while I got her dried an ready. Lol. She loves the shower but hates the bath!!
So who's babies like the shower and who's like the bath? And I guess who's Hates both?!
Caixin, OMG hun so sorry to hear what a rough few days you had! Hope you have a quick recovery. Yay for enjoying breastfeeding and falling in love with Claire!! The connection is so much stronger once they are happy and a little more interactive isn't it?
KayleeF, wowsa a full feed and a whole bottle top up of formula? What a hungry little man!! FX he has put on some weight!
Bex, FX you have some success at the GP's. Silent reflux is incredibly difficult to diagnose but a good GP will give you something to try for a few weeks to see if there is an improvement. They usually like to start with mylanta or something similar before moving to Zantac and if it's really bad Losec. to you & C. Xani loves the bath, I was super surprised that she didn't scream or grizzle the 1st time we bathed her and hasn't since. We haven't tried the shower yet though, I'm still a little lightheaded in the shower and I'm too scared I'll drop her.
little_mrs, I've been using Snugglers too, am going to try out Aldi next. Since my lil chubba is way to big for Huggies new born! I should start using my MCN's, but I'm too lazy just now, hmm maybe next week  Yay go G, what a wonderful weight gain! I'm taking my Xani on Thursday to get weighed, I wonder how much she has put on? I've been weighing her here but i don't know it's that accurate.
Mizqtie, hehe I love your attitude hun and I totally agree. :D I learnt to embrace my curves after having DD1 too. Good Luck with the GP today, FX you get some relief
Kirsten, I need to get some more MCN's and I want to get Itti Bitti's to add to my collection. Am I better off get the multi size Il Tutto's or the sized SIO's or AIO's??
AFM,
Nipples are killing after Miss X has wanted to feed every hour from 5pm-midnight the last 2 nights and is still not latching properly and I'm too tired to correct her. We've been getting some good daytime sleeps albeit on her tummy on her playmat rather than her bed. And I managed to get her to settle in her bed at 4am rather than in bed with me so i feel we are making progress. I really think her Wrap Me Up Swaddle is wonderful although I'm trying to decide whether to get another one or to invest in the miracle blanket instead??
Mizqtie: that doctor sounds like he has no clue! When they have silent reflux they don't usually vomit, hence the term silent. The acidy reflux comes up their throat and burns them so they scream & they swallow it again. Did you mention Silent reflux to the doctor? If he doesn't give you anything get a second opinion hun or tell him what you know about silent reflux.Sienna vomits a bit now but I think that's just normal for a bub.
MrsBexie: Hun I don't think an LC will tell you anything to do with silent reflux, my LC & MCHN told me Sienna's behavior was normal but I knew it wasn't. Good luck at the gp Hun, Zantac has been our saving grace. If they offer you losec, ask if it's a tablet, if it's the tablets ask for a liquid or Zantac, we were given losec tabs to dissolve before we got Zantac & it wasn't effective as when dissolved the little beads that are the active ingredient are hard to get up with a syringe! I hope Charlotte gets some relief soon!
Shellybean: Hope your nipples heal and get a bit of a break X must be going through a growth spurt. I think I'm going to get a wrap me up swaddle, does it help with the startle reflex? What's the Miracle blanket?
Are you using your mcn's already? Mine still don't fit.
AFM: We went on another long walk this morning, had another good nights sleep after Sienna screamed for an hr.
She just did a massive poo explosion after not pooing for 3 days hehe, it was up her back & down her legs poor little chicken!
Hello Hello,
Well I finally got a chance to get on here and catch up with you all. I've just read the last 2 pages. I'll try to keep up...
Bexie:  oh you sound like me, I had 2 days of crying and I had DP home with me to help, but I spent 2 whole days crying at everything it was awful. When does your mother's group start, I think it will do you the world of good to go to that. I can't see how a LC can help with reflux issues either - weird. Do you have any phone numbers from the mums in your church mothers group. They will all remember what it's like having a new baby and I bet they will come over to chat or go for a coffee or whatever you need. It's really important not to isolate yourself when you have a new baby. As hard as it is to do, you will feel better if you get out and have some adult conversation even for a little while. Have you tried getting Charlotte adjusted by your Chiro? DS had bad colic and he was always better after an adjustment.
Babyluv: oooh a poo explosion - isn't it amazing how much poo they manage to get out for such teeny tiny little things. Sounds like your getting things sorted with Sienna's silent reflux, which is great news and the even better news is that she's having sleep! Good on you!!!
Mizqtie: oh that doctor sounds like a moron!! I would see another doctor who knows a couple of things about babies!!! And good on you for having such a great attitude too :) I'm a size 12 and very happy with my size, My sister can't seem to believe I'm a size 12 and still buys me clothes in size 10 - does my head in. I must look smaller than I am because I'm tall.
Shelly: I hear you on the sore nipples! Damn nipples need to be teflon coated I swear! Ivy is wearing MCN's and has been since leaving hospital. I have both the itti bitti sized SIO's (the best) and the Bitti Tuttos (still very, very good) I also have some cushie tushie that I use but they tend to wick a bit but are great for just top and nappy outfit, they only leak when there are pants over the nappy. They'll be better I think when she gets a bit bigger. So I would definitely say the SIO's are the all time best, but you do have to buy more, but the tuttos are the best one size nappy I've ever used. I have some AIO's in the larger sizes but they annoy me because they take so long to dry. They are great apart from that.
Caixin: so wonderful to feel that connection isn't it? I didn't really have the connection when pregnant, but as soon as I saw Ivy I had the immediate rush of love and it just gets stronger everyday, she is doing a LOT of smiling and cooing and laughing and I just love it, I could sit there and watch her do that all day! I know what you mean about being scared about being left on your own, I haven't had both of the kids by myself yet and I am crapping myself at the thought of it!
Little_Mrs: I would see the dr about your undercarriage, they shouldn't still be sore enough to need pain killers, could you have torn them at all? Isn't it amazing how much these little people can drink out of us? I sometimes get headaches from feeding from being dehydrated! They are little milking machines..very cute milking machines mind you!
Kaylee: Ivy is usually on the boobs for about an hour, I've been limiting her time on the split open nipple because I am trying to heal it to 15 minutes or so though, so now it's about 45 minutes all up, but with a nappy change and burping inbetween sides and burping after 2nd side it can take around an hour and a half or so. Exhausting work! Sounds like Liam should have put on loads of weight with all that food he's been chowing down on :)
Renee: the screaming is really hard to deal with isn't it, it puts you so on egde and you feel so frazzled after a bout of screaming! And so exhausting too! Sorry can't help you with the nappies, but sounds like the other girls have all the info :D
AFM: all getting a bit better over here, I've stopped my full time crying career and it seems my dodgy nipple has stopped bleeding like crazy, I have even done 3 out in public feeds in the past 2 days without crying in pain, so that is a definite bonus - it still really hurts but a whole lot less than it did. It feels so good to just go out and about and be able to feed while I'm out. I will try to keep up in here I hate missing out on everything and I miss you all!!
Babyluv, I've used my MCN's a few times but not full time as yet, i'm being a bit lazy and I'm still growing my stock pile  I've bought a few different types to see which work best for Xan. She is a little monster and was born so they easily fit. The Wrap me up is awesome Xan loves having her arms up but always wakes herself with her startle reflex so it's definitely helped with getting her to sleep longer. The miracle blanket is the ultimate houdini proof swaddle. Have a look on The Sleep Store website for them. I can't believe they gave you losec in tablet form! Idiots the liquid is much better and easier to use!!
Kirsten, hmm so you think I should get some sized SIO's and some Tutto's?? I thought the AIO's might take to long to dry. Yay to public feeding without tears!! And don't worry i struggle to keep up too :)
so GRRRRRRRRRRRR he STILL wont give me anything what a stupid Dr

Hi girls
Hope you all have beautiful settled babies!!!!!
Quick question. Does anyone know of any websites other than ebay to buy baby furniture and things? I want to get ava a bouncer swing thing but don't want to pay a fortune. She loves the car and pram and anything where she is rocking so i figured she may like to sit in one of those and it may settle her a bit.
Target has a baby sale and the bouncer and playmat a few of us have is half price at $50 at the moment. I'd go check it out or the other ones target has cause the sale ends tomorrow abd they got heaps of stuff!
If not, Bubsngrubs and pram warehouse can be pretty good with prices but check the websites...
Thanks bex will chack it out. Hope you are having a better afternoon luv xxx
Ok now I am on the computer, not my iPhone I can reply properly!
Shelly: Boo to the sore nipples!! I know what you mean, mine aren't cracked or blistered (well one tiny one developed yesterday) but they are sore from all the feeding!!! Maybe our LO's are having growth spurts? Aparently around 3 weeks they do... Yay to the swaddle working!! I would stay with what works personally instead of spending money on another type that may not work... just my opinion though.
Mizqtie: what?! he still wouldn't give you anything??? My dr said to try Gaviscon infant first which is just an over the counter so you could get some of that? You mix one sachet with 20mls of EBM and give it to them after every feed... maybe give it a go considering you don't need him to prescribe anything??
Kirsten: Didn't get C adjusted cause my chiro had a feel and she is pretty good. She felt around today though on her tummy and said it's a bit tight and her gall bladder area seems to be out a bit. So she fiddled and pushed something around the top of the tummy under the ribs or something! LOL, don't really know what she was doing! I'm talking to you on FB so don't want to double up info! hahah YAY to no more random crying and nipples getting better!
babyluv: YAY to the poosplosion! Poor little darling was all backed up! Is she sleeping and feeding better now?
Renee: No worries love. I always look out for the sales!! LOL, How are you and Ava doing? Any luck with your milk?
Had a big day out today! Met a friend who is up from Brisbane for coffee, had a bit of a shop, bought a BF pillow from target for $26 and OMG.... SOOOO much better to feed! My arm didn't die and was so comfy! So glad I bought it and for soo cheap too! Then had my chiro appointment and she had a poke around and apparently gall bladder is.. well not happy! LOL. It was hurting when she was poking around... so I have to drink a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar wih a glass of water to flush it out! EWW. Then had Charlotte's Dr's appointment. He told me to try Gaviscon infant first and if it doesn't work in the next few days to settle her, we will get her on Zantac. He just didn't want to start her on the chemical stuff right away. But if it doesn't work then he will def give me something stronger for her. FX the gaviscon works!!!! She had a big scream once we got home though so I gave her a feed and then her first dose of gaviscon and she only had a little grizzle n cry before she fell asleep (that could be cause she didn't sleep after the chiro when she was meant to naughty girl!), she is still sleeping but will be waking soon for another feed so we'll see if the gaviscon works tonight!
I am feeling a little better too. I think going out really helped. I dread leaving the house and almost cancelled but I am glad I went.
Hope everyone else is going great and we have a bunch of happy babies!!! xx
