Hey ladies,
Quick qs, Sienna hasn't done a poo since yest 6pm, I'm a little worried she may be constipated. What do you think? I've been cycling her legs, massaging her tummy & about to give her a warm bath to see if that help, any suggestions? She usually does lots of poos.
-
babyluv- Kaidyn hasnt poo'd since sometime last night either, ive been doing the same things im just going to wait a lil longer and see if he does anything
-
Is there stuff from the chemist you can get for them or should I take her to the doctor later?
Hope our bubbas poo soon!
-
you can buy coloxyl drops which is for constipation, i know you add it to a bottle being BF im assuming u would just put it in their mouth
i already have this, im just hoping he poo's soon though without having the drops!
-
She just did a poo, my gosh it was massive, I wonder why she didn't do one for so long :( she's much happier now!
-
ur lucky, kaidyn has tried but hardly any at all
-
Oh come on little guy, hope he does a nice big poo & feels better soon!
-
Oh man, so much to catch up on...good to see you guys haven't lost the ability to chat :D
Mizqtie: your boys look so alike. I hope Kaidyn does a poo for you soon. Poor little thing, they are so unimpressed when they can't poo aren't they?
Caixin: are the gang making you stick to confinement? I find that if I stay inside for ages, I get more daunted about leaving the house the longer I'm inside. We've being going for walks lately and I feel so much better for it, helps you to know when it's day and when it's night too :) Mother's groups are so good for adult conversation, you just crave it when you're home all day with a baby. I hope you get a good group. When do your gang go home?
Bexie: don't even think about not eating what you want to eat, you have to make milk for Charlotte so you have to eat. I eat non stop all day, right now I am eating a big bag of corn chips, I'm just so hungry all the time when BFing. Hope you get home from Brisbane quickly and that there isn't too much traffic. Mmmm pizza, wish I could have pizza, this no wheat diet is killing me! But at least Ivy is happy, no screaming or pains in the tummy since I totally cut it out. I am such a wheat eater, pasta, bread, pasta....pizza, pasta...cakes. I miss it. I made a beautiful banana cake the other day and couldn't eat any of it (I only made it because we needed to use up some bananas) DP and DS loved it though!!
Babyluv: yay to going to the pub for dinner and for Sienna having a 6 hour sleep! That is wonderful news!!!!!!!!!! Good on you! Bet you felt like a human going out to the pub. Ivy is a champion farter too, she sometimes even lifts the leg to get them out. I love the facial expressions they get on when they are doing a poo or a big fart
LittleMrs: the walks have been great, we are going everyday and sometimes twice a day. And my undercarriage is fine, I think it's totally healed up now, no itching or pain at all anymore, wish the dodgy nipple would do the same and get healed once and for all.
Shelly:  awwwww. Poor little Xanthe, a friend of mine has a daughter with a blocked tear duct and the stuff that comes out of it builds up to about the size of a pea and it's yellow. I hope she is feeling better soon? I hate those teary days.
Have I missed anyone? SO sorry if I have.
Well I've had a good day today, Ivy has been eating and sleeping and eating and sleeping. DS sprained his ankle this morning and then went walking around on it, we didn't know he had done it because he didn't tell us he was hurt, but he was whingy on our walk. When we got home he had a really swollen ankle, poor little thing! He's gone to the pool now, so I'm home with Ivy, who is sleeping while I catch up with you guys. Such a nice day here too. to everyone
-
Babyluv: I'm glad sienna did a big poo!! Lol. Charlotte did a massive one today too! It went up her chest n back n the whole nappy was covered! Lol... Is she feeding or sleeping any better yet?
Mizqtie: hopefully your little man does a poo soon!! Just watch out for it cause it'll be a poonami!! (tsunami of poo! Hahahhaa)
Kirsten: I am still eating what I want but within reason, like I wanted cookies at the servo but didn't get them, I had a musli bar instead. Not the same but healthier! I'm worried though with mum gone and Joe going back to work, that I just won't be bothered to make or eat lunch... I want to produce milk for her but at the same time want to get skinny again! I fit no clothes atm... :(
Caixin: I am now on my own with cooking but I am a bit worried about how I am going to do anything tomorrow! I can't settle Charlotte most the time cause she smells my milk and just wants to feed! And I hate Leaving her to scream!!
Maybe just take a walk or something before you tackle the shops or major public areas.
Well we are finally home! And I almost cried as I walked past our guest room, I miss my mum already!!! It was soooo lovely having her here! :( Charlotte did pretty well in the car but thank god we are not going oN anymore long trips anytime soon!! The poor darling has spent so much time in that car seat!
Oh and Charlotte has had tears from like 2 days old!!! No gunk... But actual tears everytime she cries! Is that not normal?
-
Omg girls. Here I was whinging about my bubba being all unsettled and grumpy yesterday and after i finally got her to sleep just before I posted on here and the lil darling slept through until 3am!! She must've been buggered! My poor boobies weren't happy though, felt like they were going to burst I woke up to a soaked top and had to express before and after I fed her lol.
Bex you nutter C is too lil for you to be worrying about your weight already!! You need to eat loads to keep being a good cow  I have been very bad with food since she's been out, I'm always starving. I figure once my we've made it to 6 weeks and my milk supply is stable and I've got the all clear from the physio (since I have some ab issues from my monsterous bub) we'll start working on slow and steady weightloss. :( to your Mummy going home. On the bright side my MIL is gone too, lol. I am worried about being lonely when Dh goes back to work tomorrow too.
Kirsten, yup that sounds exactly like Miss X's eye. It looks so nasty and sore but apparently doesn't hurt them. Bugger about no wheat! I had to cut out all wheat & dairy with DD1 too and it was SO hard! Cheese and pasta are my fave things, along with a glass of Sauv Blanc of course  The things we sacrifice for our bubs hey? Good thing they're worth it :)
Babyluv & Mizqtie, BF babies can poo every nappy change or not for a week and it can be normal. It depends on growth spurts etc, as sometimes they're using all the milk to grow. If you are FF as well it's different though. I wouldn't give a baby a laxative unless on Dr's advice though.
Caixin, how good are chest naps? I love sleeping like that with Xani. I can't wait for the photos either! I'm going to be so impatient waiting for them for the next 2 weeks lol.
little_mrs, I wanted squishy shots of Miss X and to preserve her tinyness which is why we had the shoot. I'll be having another one at some stage this year when my SIL (photographer) makes it over, so am hoping to catch her personality and get some good shots of her with DD1 then too. Nurserytime sounds great, i really need to find a mothers group or something. Xani won't take a bottle at all, so i have a syringe to give her EBM if I need to. I'm sure with perseverence G will take the bottle again though.
So sorry if I missed anyone
We've had a good day. Xan is far more settled again although I'm still pretty weak and dizzy and barely made it round the supermarket today. Have to get my Hgb checked again tomorrow, FX it's increased again.
-
SHelly: Hahah to being a good cow... I know I shouldn't be worrying about my weight but I swear it's ingrained into me! LOL... and it wouldn't be so bad if I could at least walk or do some form of exercise!!! So at least I know I can txt you tomorrow if I am too lonely or freak ouT!! haha... We will both be alone for the first time!! YAY to Xan settling and sleeping so long!! It's lovely isn't it! Yay to the MIL leaving!! HYou have your house back! How long do you have before DD1 comes home?
Praying your Hgb has increased!! Are you still on crazy amounts of iron? Oh god and I know what you mean about unhappy boobies!!! If I go like 4hrs they are like porn star boobs! Rock hard and so huge and perky! At least that's one good thing... they are perky and firm! It's like I have implants! hahaha...
-
Bex, hehe DH tells me I'm a good cow all the time, it's charming hey? Haha yeah I can imagine it's pretty ingrained, oh well try not to worry about it anyway. FX the hip & the hoohaa heal soon so you can start walking. Hehe, it's great having my house back!! ;) the vibe is totally different now. DD1 is home next Sunday which is great cause I miss her oodles and she's getting sad that she hasn't met Xan. Yup still taking 3 different types of iron, it's ridiculous and not doing much my Hgb hasn't increased since the last transfusion so I'm not sure what will happen if it's still low this time.
 you are right! they are just like fakies!!! Pity thry're too sore for DH to take advantage of  I so want to DTD but I'm yet to convince him.
-
Wow DTD?? I am waay to scared!! My stitches haven't fully healed yet and I would be way to scared it would rip open! You don't have stitches but doesn't it still hurt!? I think all the car trips haven't helped one bit with the healing!! DH had a "play" down there the other day and I made sure he didn't go near the hole at all, it felt a little bruised after so I'm not ready yet... I miss it like crazy tho!!!!!! DH has been getting relief tho cause I am so Randy at least I can make sure he is looked after  haha
Oh it'll be lovely to had DD1 home!!! She would be so excited to see X hey?? Oh and I bought my ergo here so don't need her to bring it back (even though it was soo much cheaper from nz! I needed it for my grandads funeral!)
I weighed Charlotte today at the airport (lol) and she has gained another 200gns!! So all up she has gained 1kg!!!! Only 800gms above her birth weight but she lost and regained 200gms so 1kg all up in 13 days! My little chubba who just eats ALL the time!!! Almost every hour she just screams and screams until u feed her, nothig else calms her down and she sucks hard and has a full feed so I know it's not just her whinging!! She really is hungry every hour!!! Any other babies like that?? I cannot stretch her out to 2hr feeds! :(
-
Good morning ladies,
Guess what! Sienna slept for 7hrs last night :) the top up is definitely helping her, she is much more settled now and she only had one episode of painful reflux yesterday so the Zantac is kicking in too :)
Really hoping this lasts, my bub is much happier!
We are off to sleep school today & now thinking we may not need it!
Have a great day ladies :D
-
Yay sienna!!!! Fx that she stays like this!! Good luck at the sleep school today!
I bet you feel much better after a good nights sleep hey?
Charlotte last night was screaming hysterically from like 6pm-10:30! She just wanted to keep feeding. Skin to skin wasn't working and both me n DH were getting upset and had no idea what to do!! She just wouldn't stop and wouldn't attach with BF either! I swear she was full but just wanted to suck. I fed her in bed skin to skin and she fell asleep about 10:45ish and so I fell asleep sitting up n didnt wake until 3:30 when I fed her again, then put her next to me and she woke for a fed when dh got up at 5:15... I have mastered the art of BF Laying down too!! So this morning at the 5:15, 8:00 an 10:00 feeds I just put her on while I was laying on my side and went back to sleep! Lol... Works a treat! I'm just so glad she settled last night cause I honestly was bout to cry!!!
Now she is just finishing her feed and we might go for a hobble with vixen cause it's a lovely sunny day! And I say hobble cause I can't walk. Lol...
-
Hey Girls,
How do you get your babies to sleep for more than 4 hours? Its impossible in our household, and then he goes for a feed every hour!! Its quite exhausting.
Bexie, I couldnt keep Liam in with me at the hospital the first night, they had no beds in maternarty ward. The second night he was able to stay, ever since our seperation though he has been very clingy. boo to your hip! hopefully it all recovers well.
Lil_mrs, my MIL went nuts and bought us all of the avent stuff, avent bottles, avent sterilizer, avent electric breast pump, i also have a manual one that dh bought.
babyluv, glad to hear that Sienna did a poo!
Kirsten, Karen was fantastic at the photoshoot and so patient, Liam was very good the whole way through it until about 20 mins after she left. She showed me a pic of Ivy she is so precious!!! I cant wait until the photos are done, i will have such a hard time deciding!
My c/s scar has healed well, and my belly is shrinking. I hope the flab wont become a flap! gotta keep up with the creams!! I've lost half of the weight i put on but that was all fluid, I am in no rush though to lose the rest as long as it comes off nicely.
I know about the DTD craving, I think I am already back to my old self hehe!!
Liam is having some awake time I better go and bond with him!
*hugs* to everyones parents leaving, my mum flies back to Rome next week and I will miss her. It's still a week and a half away but still it will go by so quick!
-
ok so, we have had a horrendous morning of non stop screaming ARGH!!!!!!!!
im booked in at the Dr's for 2pm to see the nurse then hopefully she will put me through to see the dr, i cant seem to stop this screaming, and hes constantly wanting to eat my poor nipples are starting to get VERY sore :( im tempted to go buy formula cause of this constant feeding
poor fella is either full of wind or has reflux im not sure what one (well i def know he has bad wind and wont bring it up) so thinking something from the dr hopefully will help
he finally poo'd yesturday afternoon
hmm i feel weird ive already DTD i dunno how many times lol i couldnt help myself
-
Bexie: Not fitting into clothes is really annoying!! But as Shelly said, gotta keep feeding that little baby of yours, especially if she is feeding every hour! How do your poor porn boobs keep up?? at porn boobs, they so are porn boobs aren't they, until they start leaking milk of course...and you're such a good wife, speaking of porn...making sure your DH is "looked after" hee hee hee. You're so clever with the lay down feeding, I wish my nipples were healed enough to be able to do that, I used to do it all the time with DS, feed and sleep at the same time :)
Shelly: poor thing with the tear duct, my friend's daughter who has it doesn't seem bothered by it, she has had a couple of operations and is still not bothered by it at all. Yay to X sleeping so well and boo to the leaky boobs and wet top! Mmm sauv blanc....mmmm cheese and pasta.....yum. I can still eat dairy so cheese is still on the menu :D Hoping your Hgb increases. What do they do if it hasn't. You're amazing being a supermum with all the dizziness and fainting!!
babyluv: yipppeeeeee to the long sleep from Sienna!!! And yay for sleep school, lots of people I know found the things they learnt at sleep school to be invaluable, so hopefully you get some tips and it helps you guys out!
Kaylee: Yay!! Karen is awesome, she's a great photographer too and yes, very patient, she has 2 kids of her own so she knows all about babies and kids :) She took some great shots of Ivy and I agree she is precious. The deciding which ones to get is the hardest part :) Glad that your scar has healed well and you're feeling a lot better. I don't know how you lot can be wanting to DTD already, but then again I'm still bleeding and so not up for it at all :) My poor DP.
Mizqtie: yay to Kaidyn doing a poo but bugger to the wind, it's so awful when they can't bring their wind up. Ouch to the sore nippples
AFM all good here, Ivy slept in our bed for most of the night, she was really unsettled at 4 and so DP just put her in with us and she slept until about 8 this morning :) She seems to have 2 feeds close together in the morning and then before bed at night, so about 8am and 10 am, then later she feeds at about 7pm and then 9pm then sleeps till about 2am then feeds then sleeps till 7 or 8am again.
-
Kaylee: YAY to the scar healing!!! I am sure the flab won't turn into a fat flap!! It'll go down slowly! I could imagine it'd be scary for Liam being soo small and being taken out of this dark comfy place inside you to a big scary open world! I am sure he will learn that you are not going anywhere and he will stop being so clingy! He just needs rthe reassurance you are going to be there if he needs you!
Mizqtie: Hopefully you can get into the dr!! I feel ya on the sore nipples! Mine are hurting a little cause she feeds so much! especially after the horrendous evening we had last night!!!Oh I wish I could DTD!!!!!! How I miss it!!!
kirsten: Making sure DH is looked after is the closest I can get to it so why not? lol. If these stitches would hurry and be healed we could try cause I am not really bleed anymore, gone 2 days without blood now. I still wear pads tho just in case!! the slim night ones are good cause they are still long enough to cover me if I did bleed but are nice and thin so you csn't see them through clothes! Oh thank god for lay down feeding!!!!! Just pop her on and off to sleep I go!! haha... your poor nipple! Is It getting any better?? can't wait to see the photos of Ivy!!
I wish this child would sleep without being on me so I could get dressed and go for a walk!!! Everytime I put her down she screams!!!
-
Hi all,
Sorry I am still MIA, still struggling with all my emotions, as I said before i have days where I am not so bad but some days just so damn teary and emotional. I have triciliian or karitane coming tomorrow, if you can believe it, cant even remember what time and which one of them is coming. You would think I would have written it down. Still struggling with Bfing even expressing gets time consuming as i feel like everything that needs to be done around the home never ends and by the time i get to sit Chloe wants to eat now, now now..... Poor little thing screams the house down until she gets the bottle. Yet I will continue to perservere and hopefully when the kids go back to school I can relax a bit more and have the chance to try harder with getting her to the (.)(.)'s. Ohh I am also taking Motillium to help increase my milk supply, yet I might just give actavite a try as well.
Also Little Chloe seems like a different baby since having her on the mylanta as per Dr's orders, she seems so much more relaxed so sleeping has improved especially at night. So for now though I wont get to excited except for the fact that since Friday night she slept for 5hours and not upto 3hours for her feed.
This Friday is Chloe hearing test, so thankfully I wont be going alone Dh is coming which is what I expected him to do, by what i expect is not what Dh would have normally done. Hopefully it wont be a long day and all goes well and she passes.
Little Miss V is really loving her little sister and is quite protective of her, especially with the MW's that come around home. She tells them not to touch bubby, lol. Its really cute, she jumps up next to her and pushes their hands away, and tells them No.
Ohhh and check out my ticker...... heres my little Chloe. I had her pic's done at the hospital on the day we were discharged. Im really happy with the photos, they arrived today, cant wait to show DH.
BabyLuv- Im so glad all is looking up for you. Lots of hugs.....
-
OK SO CLEARLY DRS DO NOT SUPPORT BFING!
i seen the dr and first thing he says is he needs food he's hungry, i think you need to formula feed :| nothing about wind/reflux its all about my F&%king milk *screams*
so looks like my BFing is going out the window :( i have cried and cried and cried WHY CANT I BF?? :(
-
Mitz - Dont give up Bfing if you dont want to. Have a talk to another Dr for a different opinion. Maybe a female GP. If they think it is reflux I know that karicare sell reflux thickening powder that you can add to your BM, all it does is thicken. Find a good GP and have a talk to them to find out what is causing your bub so much stress. Just dont give up BFing just yet. You could also try just a composite feed to see the difference in bub, and keep bfing too. Loads of hugs hun. Im sorry your feeling so down too. hugs
-
Csab- i just gave him formula about half hour ago and he is asleep, maybe my milk just isnt enough to satisfy him
im very disheartened, this is now twice i havent been able to bf i really wanted to bond with kaidyn by bf but maybe its just not meant to be
why is bfing so freaking hard
-
Hi girls
Sorry for the late notice but i have had a pretty rough week. My beautiful baby girl Ava Maree was born last wednesday the 12th Jan at 12.24am. She weighed a tiny 10lbs 7oz!!!!!! My waters broke at 2am on the tuesday morning and were mecconium stained quite thick, so i was told to come straight up to delivery. I was then induced as my contractions hadn't started naturally. My labour really didn't progress munch from there. It took till 4pm for them to declare established labour and i was still only 2cm dilated. By 6.30pm i was 3cm and in quite an amout of pain. We discussed an epidural not to help with pain but to try and relax my body to dilate more on its own, so that was given. By 11pm i had only gone to 4cm and had too much induction drip for them to continue it so i was told C/section was the safest way for bub to come into the world. Half way through the c/section they put me under general anesthetic as feeling was starting to return. SOOO after all that ava was born and checked then wheeled straight out to DH which i was happy about. I have had a tough time since as well as my milk is still not in due to the c/section and amount of blood loss i had. But every midwife had a different opinion in hospital and i was told just to keep at it (she also has a tongue tie which isn't helping). On friday 3 days after she was born she had not stopped screaming for days as she was so hungry they put her on formula and i am expressing till my milk comes in. She is still quite unsettled from it i think, although she had been a gem today. Nothing went according to plan but she is beautiful and healthy which is all that matters now! Hope you and all your babies are well i will catch up soon.
-
Aww Renee, sounds like you're having a really rough time sweets. hope things get better soon
-
Mizqtie: As you said to babyluv, formula is not the end of the world!!! If it feeds him until your milk supply increases then that's a good thing. Keep expressing, get some fennugreek tea, do all the things people suggest to increase your supply, and keep BF him as well as formula feed. You still can BF as longas you keep at it, keep persevering if it's something you really want to do!!
Renee: WOW! That's full on! Ava is gorgeous tho!! And your milk will come in soon enough! How is the healing going? Are you mobile or still pretty restricted? It's good to have you in here too!! We missed you!
Charlotte was having a terror moment earlier today, screaming and only wanting to feed then all of a sudden fell asleep so I put her in her bassinet and she's been asleep for like 2 hours!!! I'm so impressed with her! LOL. I am thinking I might wake her up soon tho cause porn star boobies are hurting and leaking cause they full!! She usually feeds pretty much every hour so they aren't used to being so full! haha.. Hopefully she is good tonight too!
I have decided to do some of Babywise's methods, so Sleep, feed, play routine. When she wakes from sleeping, I will feed her, then keep her awake for about 1/2 hour and stimulate her, then put her to sleep and round it goes.. that way she is in a routine and at all times I will know what stage she is at. Just makes things waaay more regular than her scream feed scream feed routine which is stressful and tiring!!!
-
Mitz- Can you express your bm? also maybe BF, then top up with some formula and see how that goes? That way you can still bf. Also has he been gaining weight well with your Bfing?
I do know how you feel hun, it hasnt turned out well for me either with this dept, this time around either.J"ust dont give up just yet. hugs
Renee - Congratulations to you on your new bubba.Sorry you have had such a rough time too. Hope your recovering well after your c/s. hugs
Ohhh I just recieved some lovely flowers from one of my Dh's suppliers congratulating us on the birth of Chloe, how nice was that.
-
Afternoon lass's,
Renee: good to hear from you again, sounds like quite an ordeal you've been thru! Good on you for expressing to help bring your milk in, and your not so little girl is absolutely stunning, she looks just like you!
Bex: sounds like were on par with each other, everything you've said it's the same here! I want to dtd but stitches havnt healed so lucky dh is getting his share, and I had dd's before pg so now if miss G sleeps for a couple of hours they are huuuge! Poor dh is almost walking into walls looking at me instead of where he's going, which is really making me feel good even tho I still have 11kg to lose. I was lucky enough to slip straight into feeding laying on my side when still in hospital (only due yo sheer exhaustion lol) so if we have a long night i do the same. G is the same too will only go to sleep on me, I have to wait around 20 minutes til she's in a deep sleep before I can move or she wakes up and we have to feed to sleep all over again.
Mizqtie: are you going to try BF with top up ff? As with the others having the same trouble, try not to beat yourself up over it. I know thats easier said than done... Hope you can get the help you want from a different doc.
Sorry I'm gonna have to cut the persies there, can't see any other posts on my phone and G has almost been asleep on me long enough for me to put her down and get dh's dinner cooked before he goes to work...
We had a s**tfull night last night, feeding and screaming, sometimes both at the same time, from 5 till 9pm and then again from 12 till 3:30am, but after all that she was an angel at nurserytime today and just charmed the socks off everyone! And I was so worried as it was our first outing with just me and her, she was even really good in the car only crying a little bit whenever I had to go below 60kph! Little revhead like her mum already!
-
Little mrs: LOL to the revhead!! We both had a sh*t night last night! LOL... Is DH on night shift at the moment? Yay to G being good at nurserytime! Did you meet some other new mums? WIll you go back?
-
Come on girls let's try and do this together!
A few of us are now having troubles with the BF!
Sienna is much more settled now I'm offering a top up but I'm doing everything I can to build up my supply.
I'm drinking aktavite, taking fenugreek tabs, expressing after every feed & rotating boobs 10 mins each side then another 10 mins each side.
I haven't given up hope that I can exclusively bf again & even if I can't in the mean time every little bit of bm she gets helps.
Like you said to me it's not the end of the world if you can't bf, so long as bub is fed & healthy.
Just don't give up yet :)
You girls are amazing mums and you can do it!
-
thankyou ladies
he didnt even go 3hrs on the formula he woke just before 6 (fed at 3:30-4pm) and wanted a top up so i topped up with breast milk, i did however just hand express and i got like 125mls and mainly from one boob
I swear by that aktavite so i will keep taking it and i also went to the chemist ans asked for something to help my milk (eg - vitamins) and the pharmacist suggested blackmore pregnancy and breastfeeding gold! I didnt buy these i however have a cheaper vitamin tablet she said is exactly the same as the blackmores so ive taken one already and shal see how we go....
If things keep failing im ringing the ABA
-
wow mizqtie thats a heap of ebm from one boob!! I was impressed at getting almost 100ml the other day (until G drank it all and then wanted me straight after!)
Glad to hear there are things that are helping everyone, and thanks for the reminder to take the vitamins, i'm useless at remebering to take tablets!
Yay Babyluv thats a great attitude, so good to hear it from you after you were so down last week!
Csab: how long til school starts back? that'll be great for some bonding time for you and chloe, and yay for flowers! love that little things can lift spirits hey :)
-
Gosh you girls have loads of milk I'm lucky to express 40-50ml off each boob.
Sienna just did another 5hr overnight sleep.
Mizqtie: Why don't you try the fenugreek? Sounds like you have plenty of milk though.
-
Chat chat chat... you girls have gone through 2 pages since I last checked already!
Kirsten: I certainly feel daunted to leave the house given that I haven't been out properly since labour. But no one is letting me out of the house till its been one month. Boo! WOw on having 5 hours in between feeds! That's amazing.
Mrs Bexie: LOL to porn boobs! I only had porn boobs when my milk came in initially, biggest they've ever been but now they are back to pregnancy size. Sounds like you coped pretty well the first day on ur own. Can't bear the thought of mum leaving... only 2 more days. All the feeding Charlotte is doing is certainly showing with her weight gain! Well done on being such a champion Heifer. :)
SHellybean: Hope u got ur blood test alright. Can't believe how well u're coping with all the dizziness. Wonder what else they can put you on for ur Hb levels?
Babyluv: How did sleep school go? Hope u picked up lots of good tips. Any to share?
KayleeF: Claire seldom goes for 4 hours in between feeds. I'm lucky if I get 3 hours, usually it's 2 hrs. Yay on losing half the weight already.
Mizqtie: Do keep up with BF if that's what you really want to do. If you're still producing any milk at all then you should be able to increase your supply. A MW once told me that very very few women cannot BF. Even if it's just expressing for now so he can have some BM. How about trying a lactation consultant? It's nice to have some extra support sometimes.
csab: How cute is little V with Chloe! She'll be such a good big sister. Sounds like u're doing all you can to help BF, FX it all starts to look better for you.
Renee: Welcome back! Missed you. Sounds like you had a rough time. Hope things start to go more smoothly for you now.
Claire's just started screaming again. Gotta go feed her again. Chat more later!

Caixin: I was all worried about my first outing with just me and Georgia yesterday but it's not as scary as it seems once your out! And before that I was worried about coping with cooking and cleaning when mum and mil left but even that's easier than you think!
Bex: yeah I'll make nurserytime our weekly me&bub time, Georgia absolutely loved it (even tho she had no idea she was wiggling her wobbles away or insy winsy spidering lol) and the other mums were really nice.
Kaylee: yay to losing fluid weight! Heaps of people have said it's so much harder to lose the baby weight after c/s. Bet your mums not looking forward to going back to Rome either!
Well I've just discovered the secret to getting georgia to fall asleep instantly... Heavy rain on the tin roof! She was halfway thru a feed and it started pouring down and whammo sleeping baby! Bring on the monsoon forecasted for this week lol! Does anyone elses bub love music? Georgia loves music, and she can push herself on her tummy from one end of her playmat to the other! Im so proud!

Sleep school was good, they follow the feed play sleep technique.
We learnt how to comfort her to sleep in her bed rather than in our arms, we will give it a go, I want to get her out of my bed and into hers.
Sienna had a paed app this morning and has put on 400grams this week woohoo, seems like the top up was exactly what she needed. Her sleep has improved, she has gained weight, the Zantac has helped her reflux everything is looking more positive :)
How is everyone today?

Caixin: you will be fine the first time out! It's scary but dont let it stop you!
Little mrs: lol to wanting monsoons to come! The sound of rain on the tin roof is calming! Lol. Yay to nice mums! She'll know what it all means soon enough! Yay to tummy time too! I haven't really put Charlotte down much, she struggles with not being held! Lol. Maybe I should just put her on the mat and let her scream.
Babyluv: yay to the weight gain!!! That's an awesome gain! You must be so relieved! How is your supply going? We are trying to do the sleep feed play routine but today is so hot in the house n we don't hve aircon so Charlotte is so unsettled and won't sleep!! It's hard to implement cause C just screams to no end! But we'll persevere cause it gives them great routine and a security in knowing what's going to happen.
It is only like 30 degrees here but we have no aircon and it's boiling in the house!!! Charlotte is just in a nappy, we have 2 fans on us and she is boiling. She was screaming so hard before when I was trying to put her down for a sleep and when I took her temp it was 37.3 so higher than normal. Tried a cold wet facewasher on her but she hated it!!! She is feeding now because that is the only thing that settles her!! My mw is coming over very soon so I will talk to her about it, but what else can I do when it's so hot inside?! I don't want her to get sick n overheat!
And I miss DH... I had to let her scream before because I really needed a shower before the mw came and I hated it!! I miss him and wish he was home so he can try to settle her!! :( it's so much better to have the extra support instead of being by myself when I can't settle her...

Hi ladies need some advice. Sorry if this is something u have already talked about. It is now 8 days and my milk is still not in. I am expressing every 3 hrs and getting about 5 ml of colostrum each time. Ava is feeding every 3-4hrs and is happy most of the time. She has a really bad tongue tie which means she can't attach and suck properly till we get it fixed which I have the referral all ready sent away but it still may b next wk before anything is done there. I really want to give breastfeeding a go but can't keep going this way, it is killing me. Any advice would b appreciated.

Renee hun! my milk didnt come in until about a week after birth due to the c/s. Buy some fenugreek tablets from a health food shop, and try a breast pump, the electric ones are much easier!!
My midwife did say something this morning about a Don- something, but she thinks its a script based one she said its the best for it.
My nipples are still so sore, Liam cracked them very badly before my milk came in as he was just sucking blood out as the colostrum wasnt enough!
Goodluck! and don't let anyone make you feel bad if you have to give Ava formula, i still have to top Liam up with it.
