Dromperidone was suggested to me if the fenugreek & aktavite doesn't work! You have to get a script for it!
I seem to have alot more milk today so maybe give them a go :)

Where is everyone?
We had a horrendous day today & night last night, poor bub was so unsettled. She screamed most of today with reflux & I'm wondering if the zantac dose is a little low. She is only having 1ml twice a day. Although she was vomiting alot today so maybe the Zantac came straight back up.
How's everyone elses bubbas going?
I start mothers group soon argh, I'm shy I don't like being in situations where I don't know anyone.
MrsBexie: How was Charlotte today? Any relief from the heat? Melb is crazy, the last cpl days have been quite cool.
yay babyluv good luck!! boo to the unsettled night, its the same here i am ready to throw rocks at the walls!!! my head was pounding from the lack of sleep!! my mothers group starts on the 1st of feb, i am shy too but i think it will be nice. My nurse put me in wit the older ladies, i dont think i wanna be in with the 16 year olds :S
well i am having problems bfing my self :( Liam wakes up every hour for a feed, he finally had a three hour sleep today. went to the mchn and he is still just under his birth weight, although he is healthy. I don't want to give up bfing, but im ready to rip my hair out. my nipples are so so so sooo sore my toes curl at each feed and im not expressing more than 20 mils but i know i have more milk!!!
I might try the domperidone but if it doesnt work i may just give up and fully feed him formula!! :(
I hope everyone is well! x
I am here, been a busy day for us!
Met up with the ladies from the playgroup at church this morning and just chilled out while all the kids played, it was really lovely to get out and be social... about 10 mins after I got there though I got a bit panicky, wanted to cry and wanted to go home, but I stuck it out, the feeling passed and I had a great morning! Then she was pretty good between then (1pm) and my chiro at 3:15pm, had a feed and sleep.. but cause I woke her up to go to the appointment she cracked it hardcore and scxreamed so I had to feed her while I was getting adjusted!!! LOL, it was hard but it kept her happy for the time being. She then screamed all the way home until I fed her again... she was a bit unsettled this arvo evening and is cracking it now, I think she is overtired. I am hoping she sleeps well tonight cause last night was a little restless... She doesn't sleep 4-5hours overnight anymore.. even with full feeds and top ups she still will only sleep 2hrs now. :( I thought she was such a good sleeper! It was hot again today but cause we were out in the morning until abour 1pm then only home for 2 hours she was not as crazy as yesterday.
Babyluv: Boo to the unsettled day!!! The heat really does affect them doesn't it! Is the SFP routine still working?? I find it so hard to do with Charlotte because she just doesn't seem to like that routine!!! I know what you mean about being shy! I am lucky that a couple of the women from church in the playgroup have my number and are making a huge effort to make sure I am included and get out of the house otherwise I would hide at home all the time!! LOL... Once you get there and make some friends it will feel much better I bet!
Kaylee: Aww sweets! Don't give up just yet!! Keep trying to increase your supply and maybe just stick with top up feeds? Are you using Lansinoh or something on your nipples for the pain? And Charlotte is pretty much an hourly feeder too!! Well it's an hour from when she stops feeding to when she starts again! You can do this!! Just keep persevering if BF is something you really want to do!!
Hi everyone.. Just dropping in to say HELLO! I occaisionaly come in here & stalk. Eden is doing great. Still sleeping well & feeding great. He's getting quite porky now. We have a paed apt next week so looking forward to seeing how much weight he's put on. I'm finally over the mastitis. Hope I never see it again.
RENEE - What type of pump are you using? Electric ones are much better, but better still, if you can hire an industrial one they are much much better at getting the milk out. You can hire them from Pink & Blue.. They deliver (aust wide I think). Worth the $$ I reckon. Are you also expressing 3 hourly overnight? You could try to do 2 hourly during the day, for a few days. I did that when I lost all milk due to mastitis, and it took about a week for me to get it back. Also, try a heat pack on the breast before expressing. Get out what you can, then stop expressing and massage the breast for a couple of mins then try again. You'll find that makes the world of difference. Also, express with bub in sight as for some reason being able to look at bub helps your milk come out. If she's not around, have a picture of her. Honestly it works. One more thing, try hand expressing in the shower etc too. Sometimes hand expressing works much better. Hope this helps
Hey georgi!!
Nice to hear your little man is doing so well!
Charlotte is having a shocker today... Hasn't slept more than 10 mins and will not have a bar of it!!! She won't even fall asleep on the boob! I can't get her to sleep... :( poor thing is so over tired... And yes so am I!
MrsBexie: we had one of those days yesterday, had a good night & morn & now having a shocking arvo. I've been trying feed play sleep but she will not settle, they don't say what to do if you've been sitting there for two hrs trying to comfort your bub to sleep. I gave up & I'm holding her but she still won't settle, will be feed time again soon. Sienna is great at feed play but terrible with the sleep part. I think it should be feed play scream, she's great at that!
Hope she settles for you hun xox
I agree babyluv... Feed play scream is a much better routine! She is finally asleep on my arms nut I'm sitting in the car while dh witnesses a lease agreement. I just fed her to sleep n hoping she stays asleep cause we have to go grocery shopping!!
Bex, Babyluv - we had a shocking day like that yesterday too, G had 1/2hr sleep all day and that was around 12, then screamed all arvo wanting to be fed, I broke down coz she just wasn't getting enough from me. At first I thought she just wanted to suckle for comfort but everytime I put her on the breast she was sucking like mad trying to get milk out & I realized that was the first day i didn't have a bottle of EBM for her so I have to express at night when she sleeps to make sure I have that top up feed for during the day! Got some formula as backup so she doesn't go hungry again like yesterday, but I figure it can't hurt to know she'll actually drink the formula too for when we go to soundwave in march I don't have to stress so much about expressing a whole 12hrs worth of feeds in 2 days on top of feeding her at the same time. She's been really clingy today too, cries everytime I put her down, she normally loves her tummy time but not today, she's asleep on me now. Cute little possum now she's sleeping but makes it impossible to get stuff done, and I'm bored! I can't sleep during the day coz I keep thinking of the other stuff I should be doing while she sleeps!
Georgi: thanks for dropping in! Good to hear the mastitis is gone, hopefully it stays gone! Sounds like Eden is doing great, how are you going with the 2 boys at once?
Shelly: are you out sneaking again? Where are you and how are those hgb levels?
Kirsten: can I have your banana cake recipe? Pleeeeeaaaase?? :p
Renee, kaylee: any luck with BF for you guys? Hope things are well.
Csab: not long now til schools back and you can relax a bit, hope you've had some good days
Hello LLLLadies (in an Angelina Jolie voice from Gone in 60 seconds)
I have been MIA, just so busy and I can't keep up in here....aaahhhhh
Things going well, Ivy is a champ, excpet between 5 and 9 when she wants to feed and scream and feed and scream. Last night it was until 10:30 when we finally got her to sleep. DS has been a bugger about going to bed, and is up and down and up and down until about 9....so it's crazy time for us around about now.
Little Mrs, you can have my banana cake recipe...
125gms softened butter
220gms caster sugar (1cup)
280 gms banana (I use about 3 overripe ones)
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 large eggs
100mls buttermilk (or just normal milk with a tablespoon of vinegar in it)
225gms SR flour (1 1/2 cups)
1/2 tspoon bi carb
Preheat oven to 170
Grease and line loaf tin
Put Butter, sugar, banana, vanilla and eggs into food processor for about 2 minutes.
Add buttermilk and mix in.
Add flour and bicarb and mix until just combined
Bake for 50-60mins.
YUM
I'm feeling for everyone having screaming days, I feel lucky for only having a few hours of screaming rather than whole days :(
Ok I have to go, someone wants more milk....man it's exhausting making all this milk!!
 for everyone
I miss you guys!
Just a quick one!!
Charlotte is asleep... In her bassinet... Without me touching her... No screaming. O...M...G
Lol.
Kirsten: I miss you!
LITTLEMRS - Yeah it's hard work but I manage. Thankfully Eden's quite a good sleeper so that helps. We're TT DS1 so that's a bit tricky, especially when he poos in his undies while I'm feeding Grrrrr
Hi ladies, no persies for now. Claire's been snuffly for the last 2 days which means less sleep for her and me. Half of DH's office is down with the cold so he brought it home too. Now Claire's got a blocked nose and poor bugger can't sleep well at all coz she keeps getting woken up from not being able to breath properly. Have had to elevate her bed slightly coz it seems to help and also been using Fess nasal drops and nasal aspirator to relieve the blockage but she hates it. Breaks my heart when she cries and cries when I try to do it. I've also been paranoid about her getting a temperature so been on intense fever watch. Back to the feed change scream routine... hope some of you ladies are more successful with the feed play sleep routine.
Hello ladies! Well I have been MIA for a little while and have been having a hard time, but just reading back in here I see that everyone is having their own issues.
I've just had a visit from a lactation consultant and I think she may be my lifesaver, well my sanity saver at least. I've had sore cracked nipples for weeks which aren't healing and after being on antibiotics I've now got nipple thrush and my boy has thrush in his mouth  It's been so painful I was about ready to give up on breastfeeding and have been crying so much at night feeds from the pain and tiredness of it all. BUT after the visit today I now have a plan of treatment to heal everything up and got a few more tips for better attachment, so fingers crossed it all helps improve things as I really really want to be able to breastfeed without pain.
Caixin - poor Claire, I hope she gets better soon and that you don't get sick as well.
Hi Georgi - Sounds like you are coping pretty well with your two boys, I often say to my DH how would we cope if we had another one or two toddlers to deal with at the same time?!
Mrs Bexie - Yay on getting Charlotte to sleep last night, I hope she had a good long sleep? And good on you for getting out and about to the playgroup, I don't think I'm quite up to that until our feeding is better, but my mothers' group starts in a week and half which I'm really looking forward to, I hope there are some nice girls in my group! Babyluv and Kaylee, I can be shy too with people I don't know, but at least we will have something to talk about, you can't shut me up about my darling bubba!
Kirsten - Yummo to banana cake, I'm going to make it my mission to find time to make it this weekend. I'm glad Ivy is doing well, aside from the screaming episodes.
Little Mrs and Babyluv - You poor things having bad days, hopefully today is a much better day for you and your little ones?
Kaylee - I hear you on the painful nipples and being ready to give up with BF. Hopefully you can sort things out and stick with breastfeeding if that's what you want to do, but don't be too hard on yourself if you need to supplement with formula feeds. Are you getting help and advice from your MCHN or someone else? Have you considered seeing a lactation consultant? Mine was lovely today, not cheap at $70 per hour but worth it I think (ask me in a few days if things have improved I suppose, but at least Im not feeling quite so down about it all).
Hi to everyone else, hopefully today is a good day for all of you! :grouphug:
Hey Ladies,
Kirsten: miss ya :)
MrsBexie: Yay to getting Charlotte to sleep in her bassinet, how long did she sleep?
AFM: Sienna had another terrible day she screamed for 8hrs straight 3pm-11pm it was horrendous, I cried & cried, I don't know what to do when she does this, I try everything a nice bath, her rocker, we took a drive in the car, walking round the house nothing helps her. She had shocking reflux screaming, coughing, choking, it's so distressing. I'm not sure if it's the aktavite but I had cut out all dairy & chocolate & that's the only thing I can think of or that she vomited up her Zantac and so it didn't take effect.
Whatever happened it was bad and I have terrible anxiety when it happens. I really want her reflux to mend it's just awful!
How is everyone else doing?
Oh darling!! Babyluv that is horrible!! I can only imagine how hard it would be for you! I cry when Charlotte screams for a little bit, not that long and not every day! You are doing soo well to hold up like you have though!
I know you have probably tried everything, but I have had like 5 people tell me that Gripe water is amazing, we bought some last night and used it after a feed last night and then again today when she wouldn't stop screaming and it calmed her way down! It is a naturopathic thing that bursts the bubbles in their tummies so the reflux and colic isn't so bad. Its like $7 from Woolworths (you can get it at the chemist) and it's worth a try!!! Just keep your chin up... I am still praying for you both!!
Sunny*girl: Aww sweets you haven't been having a good run either!! It's good that the LC went well though! Hopefully things will improve for you now! If you persevere hopefully you will get pain free BF!!!
Caixin: Poor little Claire!! It would be so hard for them to feed when they can't breathe! Her photos on FB are gorgeous tho! She is a little cutie!
Georgi: Wow I couldn't imagine trying to TT with a newborn! LOL...
Charlotte slept until like 10:30 then I woke her up for a shower and a feed, then she went down at about 11:30, slept till 2:30, woke at 4:30ish... didn't go back to sleep until 6, woke at 8 and then grizzled all morning. But she is sleeping now, making a few noises so guessing she is waking up... Feed time again! And I am going to start trying tummy time no matter how much she screams... she hates being put down but I guess she has to learn!
hope everyone else is going well!!
MrsBexie: Sounds like she is sleeping well :)
Sienna only lasts about 5 mins with tummy time before she has had enough, she screams too.
We have gripe water but I've only been dipping her dummy in it, how much are you giving Charlotte?
Oh and guess what!!! I got AF today, what the heck is going on?? Bub is 6 weeks old today and I'm breastfeeding, would I have seriously ovulated so soon after giving birth?
Just what I need when bub is having such a hard time!
Babyluv: AF already?? Wow... Imagine that you could be pg again already if you wanted!! I think it's pretty normal to get AF around 6 weeks isn't it?
That's sleeping well?? Wow.... It doesn't feel like good sleep when she gets one 3ish hour stretch then wakes every 1-1.5hrs! She has had a good afternoon nap. 2hrs!!! Very impressed!!
I have been giving her 2.5ml cause the bottle only says from 1mth up so I just halved the dose... For sienna give her 5ml after a feed, not sure how Many doses you can give in a day... Try giving her a proper dose and see if it works!!
Is she doing that at night too?
Sienna is shocking during the day, especially if I'm not holding her!
I'll try a proper dose of gripe water tonight if she's unsettled :)
That is overnight!! During the day she feeds every hour to 2 hours and maybe I can get 1 nap out of her...
Our next door neighbor (he is defence too n works with dh) just came over and gave us a jolly jumper for Charlotte!! It's so lovely of him! :) I wanted one but didn't have the money yet! Yay!!!
Hey lovelies, sorry I've been sneaking in and out without posting but my lil monster has decided sleep is overrated!! She fell asleep for hours during her tummy time yesterday afternoon but woke up round 6pm and wouldn't go back to sleep! She finally fell asleep in my arms around 11pm!!! And today she was awake from 7am until she fell asleep in the carrier around 2pm and is back awake now! I don't know what to do other than be grateful she's not screaming
I'll do persies if she ever goes to sleep!
MrsBexie: Sorry darling I think I'm delusional from lack of sleep hehe!
shelly: Did yo end up getting your shower?? Hopefully Xani slept this arvo for you!
Babyluv: sleep.. what is sleep? ahaha...
I just bought a "wrap me up swaddle" by Love me baby... I bought it from bubsngrubs cause they have free postage!
It's sposed to be really good, especially for babies who like sleeping with their arms up! And it's good for Colic and reflux too!! Hopefully Charlotte likes it because she does like her arms up while sleeping!!
Ooo that wrap might be good for Sienna I'm going to have a squiz!
that's what I was thinking!!!!!
ladies sorry ive been MIA i have no internet im currently using my mobile right now
just wanting to say a quick hello and im thinking of you all hope everything is going good
Just a quick question, does anyone else getting lots of mucous???
Babyluv: YOU GOT RAK'D!!!!! YAY :leap: that's so excitinG!!!!
Mizqtie: No mucus for me... I have pretty much stopped bleeding completely, only the occasional little bit of blood like once every 4-5 days...
And you got RAK'd too!!!! Aww lovely!
OMG i got RAK'd tooo!! thats a suprise :)
on the mucus front i wish i knew what it was
Anyone else feeling overwhelmed and crying all the time?? I have been crying for 2 days! I cry when I think about DS's birthday party, I cry when I think about having to go to an appointment, I cry at anything at all, it's really crap!
SunnyGirl: what did the LC say about healing the cracks? I have a crack inside a crack, I like to refer to them as Splits! Because they are open gaping wounds!!!!
Hello everyone. Hope you're all not crying as much as me and that everything is going well or getting better...
Kirsten, I'm pretty teary too. I cry when DH talks to me and seem to take everything as an insult to my mothering skills. I'm really struggling getting Xani to attach properly so that is a major cause of tears! hope you feel better soon!!
Hgb levels still aren't back, apparently the lab has a backlog! I just want to know what they are so we can plan our attack. If they're <80 then it's back to hospital for another transfusion so FX they're not that bad and we can make do with some iron infusions or even just continuing the oral iron. Although I'd rather get them back over 100 quickly so I'm not so paranoid I'm going to pass out and drop Xani.
Kirsten:  I am in the crying stage too!! On McLeod's daughters yesterday this dude shot his dog.. I bawled!! I cry when I look at Charlotte, I cry when she cries, I cried when DH deserted me this morning to go help his friends (what about helping me?!?!) I almost cried when my MW was here the other day, I cry when I go past the room mum stayed in, I just cry, in fact I want to cry now. Yay... Boo to cracks in cracks! God that must HURT!!! You've had them for ages!!!!! surely they should be p*ssing off by now? It's just a little bit sh*t (lol...)
Shelly: Boo to no results yet!!!! You must be eating Iron like it's lollies!! lol. That'd be so scary to think about dropping Xani! Are you still really dizzy and tired?? I hope your attachment issues are sorted soon!!! She just won't suck? I thought she was doing well!
Ok DH is helping his mates move... I am alone again. Chucked a wobbly after he left today.. why isn't he here helping me??? I am sure 3 army dudes are quite capable of moving house themselves, dumb DH just wants to help because he loves feeling needed and important (don't we all) but the thing is I need his help! I want to be able to pee without having a screaming child.... bah. Better go wake C up for a feed... got the porn boob going on... yes I say Boob cause it's only the left side!! One huge and one only large atm, gotta love lopsided boobs!
Oh and I just posted in the parent's section this huge rant about Charlotte and conflicting advice... go comment if you want! :)
Hi ladies
Crying is all i have done for the past week!!!! I have had to make a few tough decisions lately which have not helped. Ava is doing great. My milk still isn't in and i have tried everything. I am getting about 10ml out of each boob and that is it. They m/w and lactation ladies have said often women who have been through a trauma like mine can have this problem and i should just top her up with formula. My colostrum is all gone now and we had her tongue tie sorted out on thursday so i have tried her on the boob for the last couple of days and she isn't the least bit interested as there is nothing there for her to have. She is a big growing girl god love her and when she wakes she wakes hungry and doesn't want to stuff around on my boobs. She is getting herself so distressed when on my boob which is how she spent the first 3 days of her life as noone wanted to give her the formula in hospital so she starved. I feel like i am taking her right back there by trying to get her to do this. It is really depressing me and stressing out her. I love my little girl to bits but can feel myself starting to not enjoy her because she and i are getting so worked up and tired. God i must sound like a terrible mother!! This is all i think about day and night!!!
Babyluv and Mrs B - i don't know how you girls cope with the screaming and short sleeps!
Renee: In NO WAY are you a bad mother!!! I know what you mean about not being able to just enjoy them. If only it was so simple and easy and we could just enjoy these amazing little things, it's hard to get around all the probs isn't it!!
So did the LC suggest anything to help your milk come in?! Is there any meds you can take for it?? Something has to make it come in right??? Keeping my FX for you!!
And I don't know how I do it either... not very well!! LOL
Hi Ladies,
I got RAK'd that's so exciting, I think I have an idea who it was, thanks darling ;)
Mizqtie: I had a bit of mucous, after the bleeding finished, maybe you ovulated & are going to get AF like I have already.
Kirsten: I have had a few teary episodes, I was beside myself when she screamed for 8 hrs non stop the other day. In the first few weeks I would cry at the drop of a hat. Hope you're ok hun :)
Shellybean: I hope your results come back soon, did they give you any idea when? Do you still feel dizzy alot? Any improvement with attachment?
MrsBexie: Bummer your DH is not home to help you! How has Charlotte been today? Is she sleeping on her own today? Sienna was zonked so I gently put her in her bassinet and came back a minute later and her eyes were wide open! How the heck do I get her to sleep on her own? She's asleep on my chest right now. DH has 1 week of hols left & I won't get anything done if I can't put her down! I'm off to check out your post.
Renee: good to hear her tongue tie is sorted :)
You're not sounding like a bad mum at all. I have felt exactly the same!
Sienna had so much trouble with BF, couldn't attach & then wasn't getting enough etc. Then the shocking reflux which meant we had 5 days of constant screaming. It really is hard to enjoy your bub when all you are doing is just trying to get by. Like you i love her more than anything but wasn't enjoying her! It's only recently since the Zantac that I've been able to enjoy Sienna because she seems like a normal happy baby now. I broke down the other day when she had a reflux episode. I hope it gets easier for you hun, you're a great mum, you're doing a fantastic job and whatever you choose to do will be the right choice for you and Ava. Don't feel pressured to do anything, go with your gut. I felt so guilty about giving Sienna a formula top up but she is so much happier & healthier now & actually gaining a good amount of weight, i wish there hadn't been so much pressure put on me about BF and not giving formula. I will continue to BF & top up. my poor little baby was going hungry :( I wish I'd gone with my gut sooner. Just do what you feel is right & remember you always have our support in here!!! Lots of hugs xxx
AFM: Dh & I took Sienna on a nice long walk today, about 7kms it was so nice to get out of the house! I bought some nappies from Aldi, 56pk for $12ish, they were recommended, I'll let you know what they're like. We have MCN's but they still don't fit her tiny bum!
DH is painting a massive canvas for Sienna's room, it has a big tree & some pretty little birds. I can't wait until it's finished.
Babyluv ive been wondering if im going to get AF back and if thats why i have it, TMI but i went to the toilet last night before bed and OMG i had like a 50cent piece worth maybe even more it is CRAZY!
Congrats on getting RAK'd so did i, it is exciting something i was never exspecting thats for sure!
Mrs Bexie- i just realised your from toowoomba, its quite a small town isnt it?? do you know a chick named Lauren Guymer????
i went and seen my pharmacist and she said the mucus could just be a post partum thing my body is doing OR i could be pregnant again AAAARRGGGHHH i hope not lol but if its meant to be then its meant to be!
On the note of screaming babies, K just screams all the time too basically i have found "infants friend" to be fantastic with K it helps settle him but sometimes he has his off days
Renee DO NOT think you are a bad mother, it doesnt matter how many children you have hunni you will always find new things that you just dont know about but you learn to deal with things the best way you can and you are doing a wonderful job with your daughter....We arent given handbooks/textbooks on how to raise children
Please just stay calm and strong and YOU WILL GET THROUGH THIS I PROMISE!!!
On the milk supply the midwifes are right, if you go through a terrible trauma birth it can delay your milk (i thought it wouldnt have delayed this long but maybe it can) all i can say is keep trying and maybe do the FF just to give yourself a break from all the crying/screaming
Just quick one from me...
Renee: don't feel bad, like I said to others no-one can look around at the people they know and tell the difference between who was BF and who was ff, coz most often there isn't any difference! Were actually giving Georgia a bottle of formula every few nights to let me relax and recoup and to make sure she will drink it when I can't or don't want to BF anymore. I know too many bubs who've been only BF for months and then when they start teething they wont take formula or a bottle and the poor mum is stuck never being able to go out or with a bub with teeth chewing on her nipple! Not my idea of fun, so I personally (although don't get me wrong, I still BF while I can) think formula is by no means a bad thing! Chin up girl, hope things get better for you, the happier and more relaxed you are the happier Ava will be.
Will catch up on everyone elses persies later, sorry, I have read everything tho! To those who are sad or struggling I hope it's just a short hormonal phase that buggers off real soon, if I wasn't so far away I'd buy you all a drumstick and make you all watch robin Williams stand up comedy so you feel better xx
Bex, yup I'm seriously over taking it TBH. I feel like I've been living on the stuff for forever and I'm well over being semi constipated all the time now that prunes don't seem to be cutting it. Yeah still tired, not as dizzy as I was but still having at least 1 spell a day where I almost pass out. As for Miss X's attachment issues, she does suck and is doing well she just won't always open her mouth wide enough and I end up with lipstick shape nipples that are sometimes quite painful!
Renee, aww darling  You are so not a bad Mother!! HAve they tried drugs to stimulate your milk production?? Maxlon is sometimes useful for boosting supply, I'm not sure if it works to get milk to come in though. Don't feel bad if you have to formula feed though hun, there is far too much pressure on women to breastfeed and not enough support for those who can't.
Kirsten, more  hope you're feeling better.
Babyluv, results will hopefully be back Monday afternoon. Yeah still dizzy unfortunately it's pretty crappy especially since I shouldn't have been sent home from hospital without a substantial increase but they were desperate for the bed :o Wow what an awesome walk, go you!!! Xani hates her capsule and her pram so any walking we do she has to be in hr carrier. Let us know how the Aldi nappies go I need to get some more for Xani since she's too big for our newborn huggies but we get leaks from her MCN's so I figure she's not quite big enough for them yet. Congrats on your RAK!!
Mizqtie, wowsa preggers again already?! There's no way I could deal with that lol. Yay to getting RAK'd!
little_mrs, thanks for the virtual drumstick & Robin Williams stand up :D Hope miss Georgia is well
Well we were at the end of our tether so went and bought a "wrap me up Swaddle" like MrsBexie mentioned and we actually have sleep and she's stayed sleeping for more than 30mins! FX it's not just a fluke!!
Shelly: Aldi nappies are meant to be awesome!! My SIL n her friends swear by them!!
Hi ladies, I've just had a roller coaster of a day! Had bleeding yesterday (4 wks post natal) that started mid arvo and thought hmm maybe AF is back?! But so unusual coz I'm BF exclusively and it didn't feel like a period. Then the bleeding got worse last night, was changing a full soaked maternity pad every 2 hrs. So I decided to call my hospital. The MW on duty wasn't sure if I would be having my period or whether it was haemorrhage but thought it was my period initially coz 4 wks post partum is a bit late for PPH. Luckily she spoke to someone else who said I should go in just to make sure. So bundled up bubs and myself, DH drove us to the hospital at 2am. Got checked and all my vitals were fine but they still wasn't sure coz I was having so much bleeding for a period so they kept me in for obs. Had an u/s in the morning and it turns out that I had some retained placental products that was causing the bleeding!
So in one hour I was off to the OT, put under general and had a D&C. The placenta was really stuck and I had a lot of bleeding during the op. My scar from the stitches also broke down so I got re-stitched again. Woke up worse for the wear, all sore in the undercarriage again and broke down crying once I saw bub for some reason and couldn't stop crying. Luckily my Hb levels were fine and was able to get discharged that same night. Been sleeping most of the night and MIL has been looking after bubs for me, bringing her up when she needed to be BF. Thank god for my MIL still being here, don't know how I would manage being woozy from the GA and taking care of bub. So now I'm back to square one with my tear healing and on ABs but I'm glad it's all sorted and hopefully it doesn't affect my BF.
Hope you ladies have had a better day than me.
Oh my Gosh Caixin that's terrible, I hope you're feeling better this morning!
